Abstract

Riau Province has conducted election of regional heads in 2013 to elect the Governor and the Vice Governor. However, the number of people who do not use their voting rights remain high, including the beginners. Most of the beginners prefer not to vote in the election activities because they are not congenial to the things related to the world of politics. There are 807 beginners who do abstention at the time of the election of Governor of Riau in 2013. The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of the beginners who choose not to vote and the factors that influence the beginners not to vote at the election of the Riau Governor by using Rush and Althoff’s theory which explains the causes of abstention.This research uses a descriptive-quantitative approach. The result of this research is obtained by doing surveys and giving questionnaires which are later presented in the form of images. Based on the result of the research, it is known that the factors which affect the beginners in doing abstention in the election of Riau Governor is due the feeling of apathetic and disbelief from the beginners towards the government and the idea that the election is just a waste of time. The beginners are also cynical because they think that the candidate is not able to lead the region and they do not believe in government systems. In addition, the idea that the election is pointless and the right to vote can not influence government policy show the existence of the group of beginners who remote themselves from the election activities. Furthermore, the beginners also act anomie by believing that the candidates only give promises and the election does not bring any change for political survival and the region itself.Key Words: Beginners, Abstention, Attitude

Abstract

This research explain about South Korea Multinational Corporationbusiness in Indonesia, Samsung Group Company. At this time Samsung Companyhas become the leader and risen to be number one market smartphone inIndonesia. Samsung’s smartphone could defeat product of Apple Inc, Research inMotion (RIM) Coorperation, and the other phone’s Companies. This research wasconducted using library research methods where the data and information areobtained from sources that are relevant to this problem of the research. Thisresearch uses qualitative analysis and to analyze the strategy of Samsung GroupCompany is used competitive adventage theory by Michael E. Porter. SamsungGroup Company realize that to make competitive manufacture is used buildresearch and development (R&D) overseas and that forced by inovativemanagement. The writer used data which was collected from journals, books, andwebsite to analyze the research. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of working capital manajemen ofliquidity level on cement companies listed in Indonesia Stockt Exchange.Independent varibles was used this study is working capital. Working capital wasmeasured with used working capital turn over, while the dependent variables isliquidity was measured with used current ratio.The sample in this study selected based on specific criteria usingpurposive sampling metode. Obtained a samples of 3 companies have financialstatement period 2003-20013, so that obtained of 33 observation.Analysis of the data used in this study is simple regression analysis wereprocessed with SPSS. From the test simple regression analysis showed thatworking capital turn over the have significant negative effect on current ratio.Keywords: working capital, likuidity, working capital turn over, current ratio.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Arhanudse Battalion. The purpose of this study to determine parenting in a military family in Battalion Arhanudse 13 Kubang Pekanbaru. This study, entitled "Parenting Children in Family Military (TNI) in the Battalion Arhanudse 13 Kubang Pekanbaru". What obstacles encountered in instilling parenting in a military family in Battalion Arhanudse 13 Kubang Pekanbaru. The sample of this study is that people using public transportation and the local community. Pengambikan samples was done by simple random sampling technique. Samples are numbered 5 NCO. The author uses descriptive qualitative method and the data were analyzed qualitatively. Instrument Data is observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that not all military families who apply the method or style that is hard and authoritarian. There are applying Parenting Democratic but those that apply a blend of Parenting authoritarian and democratic. Although the military profession as a fact in daily communication with their families left an impression as a military and a father should act responsibly and be a role model for the children and his wife. Obstacles encountered both parents and children are generally caused by a lack of intensity or time to communicate with family. Sometimes there is a difference of perception, then there are many children who are not members of the military's authoritarian bias educated so that there is in violation of the ban that had been made by his parents. Investment in improving the character of parenting a child more quickly achieved in the respondent's family, because of their habit as parents always instilled submissive attitude toward rules and it also instilled by parents to their children. This is due to the influence of parents whose profession requires discipline against all the rules that apply in their environment.Keywords: parenting Military Families, Types of Parenting Children

Abstract

The research given title “Evaluation Impplementation of The Program economic Enterprises Village saving and Loans (UEK/SP) at Bukit Raya Kapur Village, Dumai City in 2012”. It’s behind of this research is srill a using funds loans not used according to plan the proposal loan lack of aweareness of the public in paying the mortgage in adition it’s still a lot of people who do not in the criteria for low-icome communities also enjoy this program and number of delinquent loans is higher as well the list of loans that are pilling up.The aim of research is evaluation implementation of the program economic enterprises village saving and loans (UEK-SP) at Bukit Raya Kapur Village Dumai City in 2012. The usefulness of this research is as input agencies in an effort to take out policy in the future. Types and method of research is descriptive research, which can be defined as program solving or describe investigated by describing the state of the subject and object of research based on the facts that seem or how their. While the method used qualitative research method to describe the actual situation and the actual detail by looking at the problem and research objectives determined purposive based withdrawal nonprobability sample properties. Data was collected by interview and documentation.The research that concludes evaluation implementation of program economic enterprises village saving and loans (UEK/SP) at Bukit Raya Kapur Village Dumai City in 2012 it’s “Not Good”. Where implementation of the TUPOKSI by UEK/SP has not been done well, so that people who received benefits from this program is not accuarate and this is also due to the implementation of the verification that is not in accordance with existing guidelines so that the level of arrears communities become higher. Arrears by using so the roll can not be done every single month and also resulted in the list of loans the are pilling up. Futhermore, the absorption of funds which have not been up to touch the law-income communities that lack of venture capital.The Key Word : Evaluation, Program, PPD, UEK/SP

Abstract

Teens are the age group most susceptible since adolescence is a time from childhood into adulthood causing them to fall into behavior "ngelem”. This research aims to find out what are the factors the causes of teenagers calculate glue. This study is a qualitative study with technique of collecting data obtained in the study through the in-depth interviews and observations to 8 respondent. The unit of analysis is the study of teens calculate of glue. Respondent in the study were young men aged 15-21 years who are addicted calculate of glue. The results showed that the factors encouraging teens start behavior calculate of glue namely family, peers and the influence of the environment. This study suggests counseling should be done about the impact of behavior calculate of glue through institutions and schools, Expected to parents (families) to direct their children in choosing friends hanging out right.Keywords: Behavior, teens, External Factors

Abstract

As the technologies develop nowadays, communication is not doing only by face-to-face, but also by using another internet intermediaries media, such as social media Instagram. Computer Mediated Communication theory or also well known as CMC theory is the latest theory in communication sciences development which is focused on how social media contributes in people communication and also describes how people have another world out of the real world, as we know it cyber world. The social media facilitates its users to present themselves. Self-presentation as one of the purpose of communication is an act in showing himself by a person to get a good image as what he expects.The method used in this research was quantitative method with explanatory survey, researcher collected data using questionnaires. The location of this research was in the Communication Science Department, University of Riau. The number of samples for this research were 155 respondents, sampling technique is using accidental sampling technique. To determine how much correlation between these two variables, researcher used the Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis. As for the questionnaire data processing use Statistics Program Product Of Service Solutions (SPSS) windows version 20.In the result of this correlation between social media Instagram and self-presentation among the students of the Communication Sciences, University of Riau research shows that the correlation coefficient values obtained in this study is Y = 10,010 + 0619 X with the significance level of 0.001 which is smaller than α = 0.05. This result shows that there is correlation between social media Instagram and self-presentation among the students of Communication Sciences in University of Riau as much 58,8 % which is in moderate category. .Keywords: Social Media, Instagram, Adolescent, Self-Presentation, CMC Theory, Digital Communications, Social Life

Abstract

This research exexplains about starbucks corporation strategy to bring the influence of waves of coffee culture in Japan. Starbucks is a Multinational Corporations (MNCs) of the United States which has 1,034 outlets across Japan. Starbucks entered Japan in 1995 and took a local Japanese company that is Sazaby Inc. in their efforts to enter the Japanese market and to determine the market appetite in Japan. Starbucks set up many stores in major urban centers in Japan as an attempt to facilitate a Starbucks in introducing its products to the people of Japan.This Research collects data from books, journal, and website which discusses the existence of starbucks in Japan. To analyze starbucks corporation strategy to bring the influence of waves of coffee culture in Japan, this research using competitive advantantage and using liberalism perspective. Starbucks chose Japan as her first Asian expansion region because they have same philosophy similarities between Japanese and American society are equally concerned with time.This research shows that starbucks managed to bring the influence of waves of coffee culture in Japan with evidence of the increasing number of similar businesses that appeared in Japan and has its own uniqueness. Japan is also the country with the world's coffee imports to meet domestic demand and currently many emerging businesses alike who come from outside Japan also followed Starbucks in the market expansion efforts.Keywords: Starbucks Corp, Waves of Coffee Culture, Competitive Advantages, Liberalism

Abstract

The study curry out to analyze the dinamic conflict that happened on organize civil society. Pemuda Pancasila city of Pekanbaru which happen in 2013. The Pemuda Pancasila organization biggest itself is the biggest civil organization in Indonesia, which have a million member that spread throught all of the indonesian province, so it can be said the Pemuda Pancasila is the strongest and care organization for indonesia people.This study is qualitative study, the data collection techniques is descriptive analysis. This research uses documentation (observation) and interviews with key informants as an information object that aims to achieve the goal to get the information in this study. The type of data used in this study are primary and secondary data obtained from direct observation and interviews with key informants in this study.Pemuda Pancasila city of Pekanbaru is the known biggest civil organization by the number of membership. At this rate specudate an add that can be cause a trouble that require leader of Pemuda Pancasila Indonesia itself to solve this problem. The problem mainly around the leadership, where the member of Pemuda Pancasila to take a leadership by muscablub.Muscablub comes from member of Pemuda Pancasila that feel there is injustice in the organization. Also because of lock of transparancy at majelis pimpinan cabang (MPC) Pekanbaru. Wich stimulate muscablub to happen. Pemuda Pancasila is an Organization that got a funding from government (APBD), which make some member quistioning it, and then want to muscablub because of the lack of information and transparancy at the allocation of APBD.Key note: civil society organization, conflict, pemuda pancasila.
