Abstract

Modernity and practicality cannot be separated from modern society. A dynamic life, open to technology, prioritizing timeliness, not bothering to be the idea of forming an online transportation mode known as go-jek. All the complexities of the problems of modern society are answered through the go-jek application service, which is summarized in the Go-jek Indonesia advertisement for Life Without Limits. Go-jek ads offer changes using the go-jek application on smartphones to meet needs that are accommodated through one application. With the help of go-jek, service users can enjoy life without limits. The purpose of this study was to find out the level of reality, representation and ideology of modern lifestyles depicted in the Go-jek Indonesia advertisement for the Life Without Borders What Is It?The method used in this study is qualitative with a semiotic analysis unit from John Fiske. The subjects and objects in this study were observations and analyzes of the appearance of audio, visuals and representations of modern lifestyles in each scene from the Go-jek Indonesia ad version of the Life Without Limits What Is It? Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation and literature.The results of the study show that at the level of reality, the modern lifestyle in this advertisement is seen in aspects of appearance, and environment. Attractive appearance adds confidence, conveying the impression of being smart, expert and ethical, while in the environmental aspects go-jek wants to touch urban communities that deal with distance and time. At the level of representation, modern lifestyles are displayed with a background of dense shots, sound with a fast tempo, wanting to show the complexity of identical modern societies racing against time. At the level of ideology, modern lifestyles describe two ideologies namely class ideology and consumerism. This social class is characterized by a high level of education, income and has a high appreciation for hard work, and future planning, while the consumerism ideology describes a modern society that likes to consume modern lifestyle trends, does not want to be outdated and always follows new lifestyle trends.

Abstract

Dangkong Festival is known as Dangkong Dance Festival held in Karimun Regency is about routine cultural festival and part of Karimun Regency's anniversary celebrations, this festival is an art performance and attended by various regions, especially Serumpun Melayu. This study aims to (1) find out the various attractions in the Dangkong Festival in Karimun District, and (2) find out the efforts to improve Dangkong Festival as a tourist attraction that attracts tourists. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this study were key informants, namely Tourism and Culture Department of Karimun Regency, Sri Mayang Studio, and additional informants from the Moro Malay Customary Institute. The results of this study indicate that Dangkong Festival fulfills the criteria of tourist attraction that has the uniqueness, beauty, and values obtained in the festival. Dangkong Festival aims to promote various works of dance creation, preserve and introduce the tradition “Joget Dangkong” which is a tradition of the Karimun community, and establish friendships between Malay nations. Until now, the government continues to make efforts to improve the existence of Dangkong Festival in the midst of the Karimun community, and can attract more tourists to visit Karimun district.Keywords: Attractions, Culture, Dangkong Festival

Abstract

ASEAN member states formulated that there should be a cooperation in the field of gas to maintain energy security. This study is a political economy that explains Indonesia's efforts of gas export activities to ASEAN member countries in 2011-2015 in the Trans ASEAN gas pipeline agreement. The Trans ASEAN gas pipeline agreement has been discussed since the 1970s but was officially codified in 1990. The ASEAN gas pipeline agreement was established because of the awareness of ASEAN member countries on the issue of energy security and the interests of Indonesia as one of the ASEAN member countries to utilize by effectiveness and efficiency to distributenatural resources for the national interest among ASEAN nation.This research uses neo-liberalism as the perspective by James Rosenau. Neoliberalism contains an economic theory that is based on the use of open and free markets with little government intervention to prevent monopolies and other conglomerates from forming. This research use regionalization for level of analysisby Mohtar Mas’oed. This research also use international cooperation as concept by K.J Holsti. The sources in this study were obtained from library research and internet research.Trans ASEAN gas pipeline emerged as one way for ASEAN member countries to meet the national energy needs in the gas field. in this agreement Indonesia as a country that has natural gas reserves sufficient to benefit from efficiency export and increase tax..Keywords : Free Market, Trans ASEAN Gas Pipeline, Energy Security

Abstract

Land dispute case between the community and PT. Duta Palma Nusantara involving communities in four Sub-districts (Benai Subdistrict, Kuantan Mudik Subdistrict, Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict and Kuantan Tengah Subdistrict) gave an understanding that this land dispute was very broad and could potentially cause divisions among the community. Extension of HGU of PT. The DPN became a source of conflict between the community and PT. Besides that, the attitude of PT. The DPN that does not accommodate the demands of the community is also the basis of the problem of land disputes between PT. DPN and community. Settlement of the dispute is deemed not maximal, the presence of the government is precisely after the conflict occurred so that the community feels the government is absent in preventing conflict.This study was conducted with a qualitative approach that focused on the study of the form of disputes, the role of local government and government initiatives in resolving land disputes between communities and PT. DPN in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The theory of relations between government and society is a measure in this study and the concept of land dispute is used to describe the conditions of disputes that occur between the community and PT. Dutapalma Nusantara.The land dispute that occurred between PT. Dutapalma Nusantara and the community in the operational area of Kuantan Singingi Regency belong to factual and juridical disputes. In connection with that, the Kuantan Singingi District Government in its capacity of authority has made persuasive efforts to alleviate conflicts between the community and PT. DPN. Relationships built by the government include mediation efforts between community groups and the company. The role of the Kuantan Singingi District Government in resolving land disputes between the community and PT. Dutapalma Nusantara is considered a minimal role because the community and company do not get legal certainty from the policies taken by the Kuantan Singingi Regency government.Keywords; Relations, Land Disputes, Local Government

Abstract

Corporate image is a set of beliefs and impressions that consumers have of a company. A good and positive corporate image is a competitive advantage in realizing the company's goals.Relationship Marketing is the process to produce, defend, And advance relationship at strong with a customer and stakeholder another. Loyal customers can grow from the customer’S willingness to buy back because of a commitment to a brand, product or service or company.The researsch was conducted at Grand Hawaii Hotel Pekanbaru located at Gatot Subroto street no. 8 Pekanbaru. The problem in this research is the number of fluctuating room service sales at Grand Hawaii Hotel Pekanbaru, in the last 5 years that did not reach the target. This sample has taken about 100 responden of population which is calculating using slovin formula.The porpuse of this study is to determine hte effect of relationship marketing and corporate image of customer loyalty at Grand Hawaii Hotel Pekanbaru. In this research the mothod used is descriptive and quantitative with SPSS program. The sample of this study was taken as many as 100 responders from the population calculated using the slovin formula. Data obtained from the results of the questionnaire and then tested with statistics through the program SPSS 21.From the results of data analysis that includes the validity test, reliability, simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. Test condusted show that corporate image have a positive and significand impact on cumtomer loyalty, and relationship marketing have a positive and significant impact on customer loyalty at Grand Hawaii Hotel Pekanbaru.Keywords : Corporate Image, Relationship Marketing and Customer Loyalty

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to find out the dynamics that occur in the determination of the Deputy Governor of Riau Islands remaining the term of office 2016-2021. Since the appointment of Deputy Governor of Riau Islands to be the definitive Governor there has been a vacancy of Deputy Governor for 1 (one) Year 8 (eight) months, arousing a sense of curiosity about the delay in the process of filling in the Deputy Governor of Riau Islands and the dynamics in the Deputy Governor of Riau Islands. 2016-2021 positions.The absence of a Government Regulation on the procedure for filling the Deputy Governor's vacancy at that time made the process long because the special committee did not have guidelines in the formulation of regulations so that it had to consolidate with the Ministry of Home Affairs, KPU and legal and political experts in drafting the rules and bearers the authority to propose 2 (two) names of Deputy Governor candidates who will be proposed to the Riau Islands Provincial DPRD failed to find an agreement in determining 2 (two) names of Deputy Governor candidates, until the final limit for nominating candidates is only 1 (one). others did not qualify because they did not get the recommendation of the bearer party.The theory used in this study is contestation theory, competition theory and the concept of dynamics. This study uses descriptive analytical methods with a type of qualitative research. The type of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data obtained through direct interviews with informants who are considered to know and understand the problems that exist in the field, data in the field, documentation and observation.Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that the length of the process of determining the Deputy Governor of Riau Islands the remaining term of 2016-2021 is due to the issuance of Government Regulations that regulate technically how the election procedures and bearer parties do not find an agreement to propose 2 (two) names of candidates for Deputy Governor . prospective deputy governor to be determined at the plenary session of the Riau Islands Province DPRD.Keywords: Dynamics, Deputy Governor

Abstract

The communications strategy is that concrete acts of the series of activity communication. General election commission has mission change thinking patterns students not only function as vote ( an object ), but be someone not only function as choose, but also to contribute helps to spread, voicing, both in his group and in its place (an subject ). Election commission Governor Riau 2018, increase participation voters cub from the election of the Governor Riau 2013 before and this increase cannot be separated from the communications strategy run. Hence, the purpose of research is how the communications strategy general election commission riau in increase the participation of students voters novice in Pekanbaru at an election Governor Riau 2018.The methodology used in research is the methodology descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used is interview, observation and documentation. But the subject of specified using purposive techniques, that is consisting of seven people from general election commission Riau, two people from the care General Election and Democracy Riau and ten student voters novice, including ten students were, two of the Community Care and Democracy Provincial Elections Riau. The analysis technique used data analysis reverence of miles and huberman. Examination technique the validity of data driving participation, and triangulation source.The result of this research showed that the communications strategy did Riau Province General Election by the commission to increase the participation of students as voters novice making a three programs: “goes to campus“, smart house general election, and the Community Care General Election and Democracy Riau Province, one in which the program run well seiringan third, but in the process of changing the way people think of an object into the subject of examination, done in stages, first starting from “goes to campus” by which the opening is knowledge and stated mean the purpose, smart house election to get to know deeper into questions of general election commission, and the Community Care General Election and Democracy as a medium college students to join and voicing his opinion and helping General Election Commission of Riau to increase the participation of good they and the community.Keyword :Communication Strategy, The General Electiion Commission Province of Riau, Collage Student

Abstract

When a man meets some women in group, it may look normal. However, when the man shows an attitude and behavior that is not naturally done by men in general, such as making a soft, seductive voice or being "girlish" while laughing in a high and loud voice that is normally done by women, although if we see him from the appearance, the man looks neat and fashionable like how men in general, we might have a different opinion about that man again. This phenomenon makes the writer interested in researching about man who have feminine characteristics. Various opinions and judgments will appear from someone who has interacted with feminine men. As posted by an anonymously person on his personal blog about his opinion to his male friend who has different hobbies since his childhood, to a psychologist who provide an explanation of why the feminine traits appear in men and how to handle them. This research aims to find out the motives for management of masculinity impression of feminine men, knowing the front stage, and the back stage of a feminine man in Pekanbaru City.This study uses qualitative research methods. The selection of the subject with the technique of snowball and produce two informants: FZ and HD. Data collection through the stage of observation by following the daily activities of the man who was behaving feminine, perform in depth interviews to corroborate the results, and then the documentation.Research results show that men have feminine motifs as a reason to manage appearance, first ‘because motive’ is the reason feminine man to be masculine because feminine man experience case bullying, discrimination, and labeling. second, ‘in order to motive’ is divided into three, namely self-esteem motive for wanting to be appreciated, the motif of the evaluation where the feminine looking men to themselves in the past, and the motives of the paradigm that is the expectation of a feminine man who wants to change the view that men would not necessarily have the feminine sexual orientation that is distorted. Front stage is someone who wants to showing in accordance with the expectations and values of who wants to be seen by the public and the environment, in this case the feminine man will behave like masculine man in some places like in the general environment, in a workplace, even at home. Back Stage is where the feminine man show himself without the existence of attitudes in settings. Abstract

Tjokro Pekanbaru Hotel or also called PT. Sukses Anugerah Selaras is a national private company engaged in hospitality services or lodging. Tjokro Pekanbaru Hotel is one of the Grand Tjokro Hotels Indonesia collections which include Grand Tjokro Klaten hotels, Grand Tjokro Yogyakarta, Tjokro Hotel Pekanbaru, Grand Tjokro Jakarta, Grand Tjokro Bandung, and Tjokro Style Yogyakarta. Before becoming a hotel, this hotel used to be known as PT. SUKSES ANUGERAH SELARAS. And in November 2013 the Tjokro Pekanbaru hotel was established in collaboration with Kagum Hotels Indonesia. Tjokro Pekanbaru Hotel had once been under the auspices of KAGUM Hotels for 1 year, but in July 2015 the Tjokro Pekanbaru hotel broke away from KAGUM Hotels Indonesia. Tjokro Pekanbaru hotel activities are largely determined by the performance of qualified employees. In this discussion this research examines the importance of the role and application of body hygiene of employees or what is commonly called personal hygiene at housekeeping department employees. While data collection techniques in this study use observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the research that has been done, for the whole of the results of the interview answers said that based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of Personal Hygiene employees of the Housekeeping Department of Tjokro Pekanbaru hotel is not in accordance with the existing standardsKeywords: Personal Hygiene, Housekeeping, Hotels

Abstract

Tradition of Feast Day of Ramadhan Sixth tradition in Sub-District of Pulau is a tradition of the Bangkinang people who are passed down from generation to generation which is carried out on the 8th day of Shawwal every year in the form of a pilgrimage and eating bajambou. In this tradition there are a series of events of communication, social and cultural behavior in the Bangkinang speech community, especially to strengthen the inter-generational relationship. This study aims to find out the communicative situation, communicative events and communicative acts of the Feast Day of Ramadhan Sixth tradition in Sub-District of Pulau Bangkinang District.This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The research subjects consisted of 6 (six) speech people in Sub-District of Pulau Bangkinang District from traditional leaders and community leaders who knew, actively participated in and understood the traditional communication of the Feast Day of Ramadhan Sixth by using a purposive technique. Data collection is done through participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation techniques. To perform data validity, the author uses techniques, perseverance of observation and adequacy of references.The results of the study concluded that the communicative situation in the tradition of Feast Day of Ramadhan Sixth tradition in Sub-District of Pulau Bangkinang District illustrates the situation that allows everyone to interact before and after the celebration of the Feast Day of Ramadhan Sixth tradition each year, including some preparations made. Communicative events include the entire set of components that build communication, namely genres or types of events, topics, objectives and functions, settings, participants, message forms, message content, sequence of actions, rules of interaction and norms of interpretation in the Feast Day of Ramadhan Sixth tradition. While communicative actions describe all ongoing communication activities that are unique or distinctive characteristics of the Feast Day of Ramadhan Sixth tradition, namely when the pilgrimage of the Bangkinang people from various social statuses, age groups and groups move together towards the cemetery in Sub-District of Pulau and surrounding areas to visit the grave and eat bajambou at a designated gathering place, such as inside and terrace of mosques or other places (Tuo's House).
