Abstract

This research is motivated by the success achieved by BUM Desa Mekar Sari  Rambah Baru village in winning an award certificate as BUM Desa which is free from savings and loan arrears since it started from UED-SP in 2010 to become BUM Desa. The award certificate was received by BUM Desa Mekar Sari on January 27, 2016 in the annual accountability meeting of BUM Desa Mekar Sari. This is certainly inseparable from the efforts and support provided by the government and community participation in BUM Mekar Sari Village.This study aims to describe the efforts made by the government in mobilizing BUM Mekar Sari Village to achieve free savings and loan arrears in 2015 and describe the efforts made by the people of Rambah Baru Village in moving BUM Mekar Sari Village to achieve free savings and loan arrears in 2015. The method used in this research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The type of research data is primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative data analysis.The results showed that in the implementation of empowerment carried out by the government in mobilizing BUM Mekar Sari Village, Rambah Baru Village in achieving free savings and loan arrears through human development, environmental development and institutional development were running optimally. However, for business development is still not running optimally. This is due to the still undeveloped BUM Desa business unit and the lack of BUM Desa capital. And the impact felt by the community from the provision of loan funds by BUM Desa is the development of the community's economy. So that the community participates in using the services provided by BUM Desa and has high awareness and responsibility in returning loans provided by BUM Desa. Keywords: Free of Arrears, Human Development, Business Development, Community Development, Institutional Development

Abstract

Mamak tribe community to a change is something that can not be denied. Currently Talang Mamak community little by little leads to modern life, ranging from clothing, the form of houses, education to information and communication technology they have started to use. So the child becomes the place of the parents to rely on the hope of a better life in the future. Parents' perceptions of the value of the child affect the number of children desired. When parents feel the child has great benefits or usefulness then the parents will choose to have many children. But if the parents feel the cost or the burden of raising a child is high, then the parents will want fewer children. Each parent has a different view of the child's desired sex. This research was conducted with the aim to know the view of the value of children according to gender in Talang Mamak tribe culture and which gender is considered high according to the community kinship system Talang Mamak tribe. Methods in this study using qualitative data analysis, data collected and then presented descriptively, with the technique of sampling non probability and the technique used is purposive sampling. The subject of this research is the customary figures and members of Talang Mamak tribe community in the village of Talang Durian Cacar. This study uses data obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that Talang Mamak community preferred to have many children between 4-6 people. They prefer to have more daughters than boys. Children in addition to having a positive value also has a negative value that is a burden for parents. But the Talang Mamak community does not consider the child as a burden but it is the parent's responsibility to the child.Keywords: Value of children, Talang Mamak Tribe.

Abstract

In assisting in running the affairs of the concurrent government and general government affairs in the law on the local government, the Head of the Regency / Municipal Region is assisted by the regional apparatus of the kabupaten / kota. The juridical existence of the regional devices occurs between changes Law Number 23 Year 2014 with Law Number 32 Year 2004. Elements of Regional Apparatus pursuant to Article 120 paragraph (2) of Law Number 32 Year 2004 regarding Regional Government consists of; 1. Regional Secretariat, 2. Regional Offices, 3. Regional Technical Institutions 4. Regional Secretariat, and district. Therefore, it can be seen that the sub-district and kelurahan institutions are part of the regency / municipal apparatus, so the Camat and Lurah are directly responsible to the mayor This research was conducted in December 2016 until June 2017. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of the change of the status of the kelurahan institution as a regional tool to be as a subdistrict device in Marpoyan Damai Sub-district, Pekanbaru City. The method used is qualitative descriptive method, where the researcher tries to explain the occurrence of change from the side of the working relationship of the Lurah and Camat, which until now is only coordinated to be superior and subordinate (Head of Sub-district becomes the direct superior of Lurah). Data collection techniques in this study is to use interviewing techniques and documentation. Based on interviews to all informants and based on supporting data and information obtained by researchers when conducting research. It can be concluded that the Status and Authority of the Village since the enactment of Law No. 23 of 2017 on Regional Government until the end of 2016 the status of urban village institutions remains as a regional tool, only since the beginning of 2017 the kelurahan status has changed into the kecamatan apparatus, Law Number 23 Year 2014 Regarding Pemerinrah area effectively in 2017 and the enactment of Regional Device Organizations (OPD) Local Government of Pekanbaru new cityKeywords: Local Government, Regional Device, Sub District Kelurahan

Abstract

This study aims to analysis the development of a motorbike workshop business in Jalan Darma Bakti, Payung Sekaki District. The motorcycle repair shop at Jalan Darma Bakti, Payung Sekaki District, to find out the characteristics of the people who came to the motorbike repair shop and the dominant factors in developing a motorbike workshop business. In this study, researchers used a type of descriptive quantitative research. The location at Jalan Darma Bakti in Payung Sekaki Subdistrict, the participation of this study was 360 people and those taken as samples in this study were 10% so that the sample was taken 36 people and the sample was taken using simple random sampling. The technique of collecting data is using observation, questionnaires or questionnaires, and interviews. The results of this study proved that the development of a motorbike workshop business in supporting its business uses banners, maximum service and results as well as low prices for service services. Abstract

Abstract            This study aims to analyze silek tuo Gunuang by using Herbert Mead's symbolic interascionism theory. This study uses descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling technique. The researcher interviewed as many as 5 informants consisting of 1 traditional leaders, trainers, players, as well as community leaders who understood about silek tuo Gunuang. The results showed that historically there were no people who knew when and who introduced silek tuo Gunuang in the past. It was the only martial arts school that was not shown for public and it was purely for martial arts.  Kubu Gadang tourism village has a silek lanyah icon as a form of modification or takes a method from Silek Tuo Gunuang which is used for performance art. All the terms and elements relating to silek tuo gunuang and silek lanyah contain very positive historical meanings from the ancestral values of the past in the local area. Moreover, Silek Tuo Gunuang has functions including martial functions, social functions, and religious functions. Abstract

Geographical conditions that shaped the Islands causing air transportation became one of the main transport in the country. The function of air transport is very important given the domestic flight can reach the entire city in Indonesia, especially when land and sea transportation cannot reach it.Characterize AirAsia's competitive strategy with a focus on low-cost carriers, or low cost carrier (LCC). Segments that are served, especially those who are price sensitive, even a layer of society that has never used air transportation is able to boost the existence of this flight. Abstract

This study is to examine the role of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in dealing the poaching of rhinos in Zimbabwe. The country has the third largest rhino herd in Southern Africa. The country's endangered rhino population makes the WWF as an environmental organization that also address the issue of endangered species, participating in efforts to conserve this species. Poaching is a major problem in Zimbabwe. In 2015, poachers killed 51 rhinos in Zimbabwe. WWF is the world’s leading independent conservation organisation. WWF works in 100 countries and is supported by more than one million members in the United States and close to five million globally. WWF's unique way of working combines global reach with a foundation in science, involves action at every level from local to global, and ensures the delivery of innovative solutions that meet the needs of both people and nature. WWF began operations in Zimbabwe in 1983.The research method used in this study is library research method. Most of the data collected through library research, online data retrieval, books, journals, literature and document. The data was then analyzed with theoretical approaches associated with theories of International Relations such as the International Organizations Role Theory.The study concluded that WWF has done his role as international organizations in dealing the poaching of rhinos in Zimbabwe. WWF in collaboration with Zimbabwe Government to establish The Lowveld Rhino Conservancy Project (LRCP), rhino translocation, habitat management, dehorning, rhino patrol, protect conservation area, application DNA profiling of rhino horn for Forensic analysis, and Strengthening Local and International Law Enforcement. WWF also to establish The African Rhino Programme. WWF and TRAFFIC has been monitoring the rhino trade. WWF Promotes Wildlife-Based Tourism.Keywords: WWF, Rhino Poaching, Government, Zimbabwe

Abstract

This research is about work motivation of front office employee in Hotel KTM Resort Batam. This study aims to (1) to know the driving factors from outside the front office employees' self in Koh Tien Ming (KTM) Resort Batam Riau Islands.(2) to know the motivation from inside the front office employees at Koh Tien Ming (KTM) Resort Batam Kepulauan Riau.The sample in this study amounted to 6 people using the census sampling technique.This research uses quantitative descriptive method to categorize the data then compiled by using frequency. And for data collection techniques in this study using interviews and questionnaires. By using Likert scale as a measuring tool.Based on the results of research obtained on work motivation of front office employees in Koh Tien Ming (KTM) Resort Batam is high. This is proved by the total total score of intrinsic and extrinsic actors is 209 points.Keywords: Motivation, Intrinsic Factor, Extrinsic Factor.

Abstract

This background in this research start from garbage proble that often happened in Pekanbaru City that hard to handle. Later found there is a waste bank built from government which is named Dalang Collection Waste Bank. This garbage bank has several partners who joined and participated. Participation is one of the most interesting discussion and this research aims to examine what are the factors that make people willing to join and participate in the management of household waste and what kind of participation that exist in Dalang Collection Waste Bank, because with good and proper waste management, it will have a very good impact on the existing garbage problem in Pekanbaru City. In this research there are result that states that there is a form of community participation in waste and doing activities from 4R program. According to the survey, the level of participation of respondents are calculated in medium, and from 41 respondents in this study, they have their own reasons and factors in terms of community participation of waste management, and to find out what factors affect the partners to participate in Dalang Collection Wate Bank.Keywords : Participation, Waste Bank Partners, Pekanbaru

Abstract

Promotion is way of communicating used by companies or organizations toencourage or attract potential customers to buy products or services marketed. Thepurpose of this study is to determine the implementation of promotion of attractionsstanum bangkinang and obstacles in the implementation of promotions. The researchuse qualitative method with descriptive approach, research subject is managerial taskforce team as manager, staff of administration park stanum, employee in charge ofguarding indopura stanum pool. Data collection conducted in this by interview,observation and documentation. The result of this research is promotion of stanumbangkinang recreation park doing promotion through two media or promotion mixthat is advertising, and public relation, but the result is not good.
