Abstract

This research aims to explain the United States the interests to refuse the import of (Crude Palm Oil) CPO Indonesia in 2012. The United States is a potential market in the vegetable oil trade. This opportunity used by Indonesia to increase the CPO market to the United States. However, Indonesia efforts to increase the import of CPO to the United States are in trouble because the US refuses to import CPO from Indonesia by issuing research results from USEPA / EPA (United State Environmental Protection Agency) namely NODA (Notification Of Data Availability).Data of this research was obtained from books, journals, articles, official documents and websites that support the hypothesis. The author used Mercantilism approach from Alexander Hamilton and nation-state level analyse. The theories used in this research consist of International Relations, the national interest by Thomas Oatley and Protectionism by Alexander Hamilton.The results of the EPA report that Indonesia's CPO is not environmentally friendly and exceeds the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission reduction limit of 11-17 % which should be at the level of 20%. The United States is conducting research because it is linked to an increase in America's biodiesel program. However, the American study proved to be not real. US refusal efforts are seen as an American effort to protect the domestic vegetable oil market, because America does not want CPO products to control the market share of vegetable oil in the country. Abstract

One of the government objectives is to realize the highest degree of health both individual and society health, as in the contents of Law No. 36 of 2009 Article 46 on health efforts. To objectify good health can be started from the improvement of nutritional status of the community, so it will reduce malnutrition cases in Indonesia.If we let it, it will be able to cause death in malnourished children under five. All areas in Indonesia today still have cases of malnutrition in children under five. Like in Riau province, Pekanbaru City which became the center of the provincial capital is also experiencing cases of malnutrition. Through Health Official of Pekanbaru City, Government of pekanbaru keep doing efforts to reduce the cases of malnutrition. The effort is stated by the Minister of Health Regulation number 23 of 2014 on efforts to improve nutrition. In article 20 stated about malnutrition management that aims to improve nutritional status with the priority of reducing the mortality rate for children under five malnutrition. The purpose of this research is to know how implementation and factors affect the implementation of the Community Nutrition Improvement Program in Pekanbaru City. The concept used is a management theory according to Sudirdjo in Manulang about management, which refers to four (4) elements in management, planning, organizing, directing, and supervising. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive data analysis. In the data collection, the researcher uses an interview technique, observation and documentation using a snowball sampling method as the source of information and data analysis with qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that in the implementation of the nutrition improvement program, there are some factors that become obstacles in implementing this program. The obstacles in running the community nutrition improvement program are not only related to the problems of the government related to the budget, but also the constraints of the community who have not fully participated to be active in every activity undertaken by the government related to nutritional health Keywords: Program, Implementation, Management

Abstract

Livestock Production Improvement Program is one of the activities program implemented by the Department of Agriculture of Bengkalis Regency where the program is intended primarily to spur production. The program implemented in pinggir Sub district of Bengkalis Regency experienced various problems in the implementation of there is overlapping in the distribution of seeds of cattle to farmer groups as well as improper program targets resulting in programs that have been implemented not in accordance with the intended purpose. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the increase of livestock production program in Pinggir Sub-district of Bengkalis Regency. This research uses the concept of Effectiveness theory by EdySutrisno (2007: 125-126). This research uses qualitative research method with descriptive data analysis and data analysis technique using interactive model (Interactive Model) from Milles and Huberman (1984) which quoted in sugiyono (2014).In the data collecting researchers using interviewing techniques, observation, and documentation. The results of this study, it can be seen that in the implementation of the program to increase the production of livestock products in pinggir Sub district of Bengkalis Regency based on the following indicators (1) understanding of the program, farmer groups understand in general the implementation of the program through counseling / socialization of the UPT BPP (2) Exactly Goals, Programs that are not on the right target where the target given is not in accordance with the rules that have been set but many who get cattle help without going through specific group data verification (3) On time, not yet optimal the predetermined period of time to make the program activities are constrained in terms of triggering the production of cattle(4) The achievement of the objectives, in fact many groups of farmers who failed to manage and breed his cattle because the main target is not the original breeder group (5) Real change, the real change felt by breeder groups not all groups of farmers who get help feel a positive impact or real change.Keywords: Program, Effectiveness, Livestock

Abstract

This research conducted in the Bina Widya Street, Riau University‟s Campus, Panam, Pekanbaru City which aims to identify factors that encourage students to play online gambling . This study entitled "Online Gambling of Football Among Riau University Students' formulation of the problem in this research was to determine the factors that encourage students to play football gambling online. To find out how online football gambling impact on students. The skind of the research used in this research was descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. The tools used were interview guidelines. Mechanical for collecting respondents in this study was purposive sampling of respondents withdrawal based on certain criteria. These results indicate that the factors that encourage students to play football gambling online is the lack of control of the family, the benefits that may be obtained, situational, a willingness to try, the perception of a skills and add to the excitement in watching a match. With student participation in the game of football gambling online, they also feel the impact. These impacts include the following impact on student achievement, health impacts, the impact on the economy, as well as the impact on personality.Keywords: Football online gambling, Unisersity Students

Abstract

This study analyzes the Ikat Nama Tradition conducted by the people of Harapan Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. Using qualitative methods with purposive sampling technique to determine the informants, the authors determined 6 people of the Harapan Village community to become informants in order to provide an explanation of the Ikat Nama Tradition. The results of this study found that the procession of the Ikat Nama Tradition contained a series of events namely tahlilan, eating together and continued with the reading of marhaban and zanji. Binding the name is done at the time of tahlilan namely by reciting Al-Fatihah then witnessed by invited guests. The one who binds the name of the child is an ustadz or religious figure who has been trusted by those who have a purpose. Before the baby is born, parents ask advice from religious leaders for baby names that have good meanings and are taken from the Qur'an. The equipment used in the form of scissors, coconut, perfume, baby basket, and money has the meaning implied in it. In addition to equipment, each procession also implies meaning and as a form of interaction efforts from those who have an interest to invited guests. The people there still maintain this tradition because it has become a habit for a long time and indeed this tradition is a good habit and there is praise to Allah SWT so that people feel this habit has no loss if maintained Keywords: Traditions, Ikat Nama, Symbolic Meaning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of motorcycle promotion Honda brand in increasing consumer buying interest PT. Global Jaya Perkasa Pekanbaru. The independent variables are promotions measured using advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, public relations and direct sales. The dependent variable is consumer buying interest as measured by transactional interest, refrensial interest and preferential interest, explorative interest. The sample in this research is consumer of PT. Global Jaya Perkasa Pekanbaru was taken randomly using Slovin formula which amounted to 93 respondents. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that the promotion gives a significant influence on consumer buying interest PT. Global Jaya Perkasa Pekanbaru. Abstract

An effort that can be done to reduce disputes between development activities in urban and rural is to develop people' economic potential based on local potential.  In this case the Siak Regency' government policy is to use an One Village One Product (OVOP) approach which is a one-product one-village program that leads to the concept of developing the agricultural subsector by exploring the potential of resources that can be developed through leading commodities in each region.  Pineapple commodity in Sungai Apit Subdistrict is one of the leading commodity development in Siak Regency, with abundant production, local government and communities have not been optimal in its management.  So the results achieved are not optimal.  This research method used qualitative methods with a case study approach.  Data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation.  Based on data collected then by assessing the reality in society,  the results indicate that the first implementation of the development of pineapple commodity in Siak Regency has not been running optimally.  The two factors that hinder the development of pineapple commodities in Siak Regency are coordination that is not going well, resource conditions are still weak and ineffective marketing and promotion and the location of the Siak Regency is far from trade flow. Keywords: Implementation, Strategy, One Village One Product (OVOP)

Abstract

This research describes the efforts of Wakatobi society in making Wakatobi National Park as the world's biosphere reservation by UNESCO. Since long time ago, indigenous people of Wakatobi had done the environmental conservation through the folklore. Through the folklore Wakatobi people are able to build awareness in the society about the importance of environmental conservation of Wakatobi itself.This research uses international tourism theory and pluralism perspective. In the international relations, plurarism is not only about the relation between states, but also relationships between individuals and interest groups where the state does not always play the main actor and single actor. The data are collected through books, journals and internet media. The level of analysis used is the group analysis level. This analysis level assumes that the policy adopted by a decision maker is influenced by the groups around it.In July 2012 the United Nations Educational and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially decided Wakatobi National Park as the World's Biosphere Reservation because of the three interests of local Wakatobi society, such as wisdom, environmental sustainability and sustanaible economic interests of the society. The three interests that encourage the UNESCO make the marine area of Wakatobi National Park as the center of the World's Biosphere Reservation.Keywords : Wakatobi, UNESCO, National Park, Environment

Abstract

Termination of employment that occurs on employees with disabilities causing loss of their income and threatened the lives of employees with disabilities with physical disability providing barriers to them to looking for a new job. So that the employees with disabilities are hampered in their social and economic life so it needs strategy to overcoming their social and economic problems. The purpose of this study is to see how families with disabilities can fulfill their social and economic needs after they are not working anymore and aims to find out what are the dominant strategies that used by employees with disabilities and aims to know the factors of strategy selection. This study provides a detailed overview based on the facts that found in the field about social and economic adaptation strategy of employees with disabilities in Tualang Sub-district of Siak Regency with snowball technique with the sample of 5 people. The writer applied qualitative descriptive method and also observation and interview as data collection instrument. Based on the writer’s study it was found that the condition of employees with disabilities at the beginning of termination of employment many employees with disabilities become stressful because they do not have a job anymore but they do not drag on under these conditions and they rise up by using some strategy to fulfill their social and economic needs, but the dominant strategy that they used were active, network and double. These three strategies are dominantly chosen because of influenced by educational factors, association and economic. Keyword : adaptation, disability, termination of employment
