Abstract

PT. Sinar Sosro Pekanbaru Branch beam is packaged tea beveragecompany in Indonesia. The main activity of this company is mendistrubusikan andmarket products packaged tea beverage brands Sosro in Riau, West Sumatra andRiau Islands (KPW West Sumatra and Riau Islands). As a company sellingproducts Sosro beverage brands, the company would require the support of a goodquality of human resources. Good corporate HR can be seen from the employee'sability, or so-called employee performance.The efforts made by the company is focused on performance appraisal,performance appraisal which is a form of evaluation and creation of motivationthat comes from within the employee can improve the performance of theemployees themselves. High-performance employee owned, is a guarantee for thecompany's success in achieving its objectives.The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship betweenperformance appraisal with employee performance. This study uses quantitativedesktiptif correlation technique in which the data were collected throughquestionnaires to 84 respondents. Spearman rank analysis was then performed onthe data obtained.The results of research and hypothesis testing shows that there is asignificant positive relationship between performance appraisal with theemployee's performance in PT.Sinar Sosro Pekanbaru Branch. Through theSpearman rank correlation analysis note that the assessment of achievement andperformance has coefficient value of 0.562, which in the interpretation of thevalue of the correlation coefficient indicates there is a relationship betweenperformance appraisals and employee performance is being categorized.Keywords: Performance Assessment, Performance, Motivation

Abstract

This research describes the role of UNESCO in eradication of illiteracy in Indonesia, 2007-2012 (Case Study: Papua) Illiteracy is a problem that occurs in almost every country in the world. Illiteracy is also strongly related to poverty, backwardness and helplessness. In 2005, the illiterate population in Indonesia is still around 18.4 million people, which means a state with the 8th largest illiterate population in the world. The high level of illiteracy in Indonesia are caused by five main causes, namely the elementary school dropout , weighing geographical condition of Indonesia, the emergence of new illiterate, the influence of sociological factors, as well as the return of a person becoming illiterate sufferers.The research method used is a descriptive of qualitative research method about the facts. This research is an explanatory that describe about problem, indication, policies, and actions. In writing techniques, the author’s collect and collate data through library research from several sources like books, journals, articles, websites, the media and others. The author’s also use the concept of a role in view the case in this study.This research shows the role that UNESCO works in Indonesia has shown its role in providing assistance and programs in an effort to accelerate the eradication of illiteracy.programs include education for all and Literacy initiative for empowerment.UNESCO worked intensely to stop the growth of new literacy and support their liberation from illiteracy. Abstract

This papper tries to explain political movement of Hizbut Tahrir inIndonesia. HTI is one of the movement's most solid syariah enforcement, neat, andhas an international network.In fact, HTI is also known that the most radical, in a sense, not only foughtto uphold Islamic law but more than that also established the Islamic caliphatebecause according to HTI, the application of Islamic law totaly could not beapplied except within the framework of the caliphate. Abstract

This study is focused on the effectiveness of the cooperation of eradicate illegal drugstrafficking (Merida Initiative) between the United States and Mexico in 2006-2012. Theactivity of Drugs Trans Organizations (DTOs) in the U.S. and Mexico have caused negativeimpacts on both countries. Mexico's DTOs are major supplier of cocaine, heroin,methamphetamine, and marijuana into U.S. territory. The competition between DTOs in therace for the distribution area in Mexico has caused thousands of deaths each year. Thiscommon problem eventually became cooperation between U.S. and Mexican governments,which is called Merida Initiative.This study uses a qualitative research method that uses books, journals and competentwebsites to explain the effectiveness of the Merida Initiative cooperation beetwen U.S. andMexico in 2006-2012. The writer uses the theory of cooperation by KJ Holsty andneoliberal’s perspective. The writer also uses nation state as the level of analysis.This study found that the Merida Initiative cooperation of U.S. and Mexico in 2006-2012 is not operating effectively. The benefits of this cooperation is only perceived by theMexican government. Through Merida Initiative programs, there is a very significantimprovement in the judicial system and law enforcement in Mexico. As for the U.S.government who has provided assistance over U.S. $ 2 billion during the year of 2006-2012,the Merida Initiative programs have failed to reduce consumption and demand for drugs inthe United States.Keywords: Drugs Trans Organization (DTO), cooperation, effectiveness.

PT. Agung Automall Duri is a main dealer of car Toyota which wasinaugurated on June 12, 2005. In addition to selling a wide variety of itemsToyota brand cars also provide spare parts and servicing services to serve everycustomer who ever did a purchase cars at PT. Agung Automall Duri. To maintainthe company continuing as a goal, achieving sales targets and business benefit,PT. Agung Automall Duri implement sales strategies to achieve these goals.Research conducted at PT. Agung Automall Duri aims to determine theimplementation of sales strategy, business companies improve sales volume andthe constraints faced by PT. Agung Automall Duri thorn in selling car products.Data obtained in writing scientific papers obtained by distributing questionnairesto some of the employees and customers of PT. Agung Automall Duri were chosenas respondents.Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis techniques, whereafter the data is collected, the data can be classified according to the indicatorsused in this research. From the research that has been done, it is known that thesales strategy PT.Agung Automall Duri can be categorized "good enough". It canbe seen from the responses given by the respondents in the research. Abstract

Over loads is still an issue that needs special attention from the governmentand people of Riau. There needs to be an understanding of the procedures forloading of large transport vehicles loaded obey traffic in order to create a safe andcomfortable. The presence of more charge would be accompanied by the risk ofdamage to the road. Pekanbaru city with its strategic location and as the capital ofRiau province could not be separated from the problems of overloading. In fact, ifthe implementation is done with good roads such as national roads and provincialroads will be maintained in Pekanbaru condition. In fact there is still damage to theroad. Researchers refer to the implementation of the theoretical concepts in VanMeter Van Horn (Subarsono 2005). This research uses descriptive qualitativemethod of data collection techniques of observation, interviewing and researchinformants determined by snowball sampling technique. Abstract

FCTC is an international regulation for tobacco control in the world, convention for tobacco control the world was born from worries of the World Health Organisation (WHO ) about the risks and dangers posed by the effect of negative tobacco (cigarettes) against the world public health. Through smoke by the active smokers and accepted by the passive smokers. FCTC approved as international law in June 2005 by the World Health Assembly (WHA) and until January 2014 has ratified by 185 members of WHO.Indonesia is the one of the 8 countrys that were not ratify FCTC, Indonesian government considers that ratification of FCTC not yet necessary important by Indonesia itself. It is caused by rather negative against the government of Indonesia to the impact of economic stability in the country. Tobacco sector is one of the source of revenue for state coffers sizable, besides tobacco industry is also capable of creating jobs for millions of farmers and cigarette factory workers. Abstract

Gery Ariyonri "Development of Eastern District of Kampar Kampar District by theGovernment". Tier One Degree Thesis, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universityof Riau in 2014 guided by Drs. Yusri Ali, MSThis study aims to determine why the task execution Kampar regency administration infostering government Apparatus Eastern District of Kampar do not run well and look at theobstacles faced by the district administration in fostering Apparatus Eastern District ofKampar.The method used in this research is by using a qualitative approach. Types and sources ofdata in this study were obtained from Primary Data and Secondary Data. Collecting data inthis study conducted in observation, documentation and interviews. Informant research is PRKampar district, sub-district and sub-district secretary, and several community leadersKampar East. Informants in this study determined purposive sampling, and data analysistechnique used is descriptive qualitative.Field findings the authors conclude that the Kampar District Government has done incoaching but coaching pelasanaanya conducted Kampar regency administration is not donecontinuously and regularly. The process of coaching is done Kampar regency administrationby providing guidance, give direction, provide training and education, providing instructionand provide manuals to the Government Apparatus Eastern District of Kampar. However, inpractice based on the research results of the local government district of KamparExperiencing the absence of constraints operating costs of the district continues to provideguidance and regular, and therefore coaching is done is not going well.Keywords: Guidance, district, sub-district head
