Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and career development on the performance of PT. Telkom Access Riau Riau Area. Employee performance is the work of individuals in an organization. The achievement of organizational goals cannot be separated from the resources owned by organizations that are driven or run by employees who play an active role as actors in efforts to achieve the goals of the organization. To improve the performance of company employees must pay attention to supporting factors that will affect the performance. This research was conducted at the office of PT. Telkom Access Riau Riau Area, located on Jl. Cempedak No. 8 Wonorejo Kec. Marpoyan Damai, Pekanbaru City. The sample of this research was taken as many as 37 by the census method. In this research the method used is descriptive and quantitative. Data obtained from interviews, documents in the company and subsequent questionnaires were obtained and then tested with statistics through the SPSS program. From the analysis of the data include validity, reliability, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression tests. In the test results that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, career development has a positive and significant effect on employee performance then work motivation and career development have a positive and significant effect on employee performance in employees of PT. Abstract

This study aims to determine the promotion of Riau tanjak malay souvenirs in the Riau Provincial Tourism Office. To be able to implementation promotion activities of tanjak needed of a promotion mix so that promotion activities can running well. The promotion mix is divided into 5 namely Advertising, Personal Selling, Publicity, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing. The promotion of the tanjak is carried out so that the wisdom of the local culture from malay Riau can develop and increase beyond the provinces of Riau. Promotion of tanjak carried out bye the Riau Provincial Tourism Office aimed at the future of tanjak can be know and can become a new creative economy for the people of Riau province. To do promotions of tanjak required understanding of tanjak starting from philosophy, name and type, shape, color and origin of the region of tanjak promoted to the public. This research uses qualitative research methods and to get the data the author uses interview, observation and documentation techniques. From the results of research conducted by the author for 6 months in the Riau Province Tourism Office get the result that the promotion of tanjak continues to increase until it can reach the nomination as the most popular souvenir in the grace of Indonesia and for the development of tanjak already many artisans and communities of tanjak children young in Riau province. Keywords: Promotion Of Riau Tanjak Malay Souvenirs, Promotion Mix,     Enhancement Of Tanjak, Development Of Tanjak.

Abstract

Paper and pulp are important industries in Indonesia and ranks tenth as the largest pulp producer in the world, also ranks sixth in the paper industry. In 2017, Australia declared that Indonesia had dumped A4 paper which is exported to its country. Indonesian government is accused of providing subsidies to paper producers through a policy of prohibiting log export that causes Particular Market Situation (PMS). This research describes the dispute the dispute settlement process between the two countries through dispute settlement body WTO.According to neoliberal institutionalism, institution  is a mediator to achieve cooperation between countries. Things which include institutions are organizations, bureaucracy, treaties and agreements. In general the institution is identified as a complex relationship between rules and norms. The WTO is a mediator between Indonesia and Australia. Through the WTO, the two countries settled their disputes and reached cooperation. The WTO acts as a forum for dispute resolution which functions as legal law for its member countries.There are three results from this study. First, the Dispute Settlement Body states that Australia had violated two articles in the WTO Anti-Dumping agreement and the allegations of Particular Market Situation (PMS) hadn’t been proven. Second, Australia is recommended to adjust the calculation of the amount of margin dumping that has been set on Indonesia's A4 copy paper products since 20 April 2017. Abstract

This study discusses about how fresh coconut and desicatted coconut export can affect the coconut industry in Riau Province, the largest producer coconut in Indonesia as the case study. Since 2011-2017 the export of fresh coconut and desicatted coconut showed fluctuations. The coconut areas continue to decrease followed by the reduce of production, with the amount of fresh coconut exports in large numbers causing the coconut industry has short of coconut raw material to produce various coconut products which has higher selling value. The coconut industries are difficult to produce various product of coconut that has higher selling value, the number of coconut industry has declined and the competitive point of coconut industry is low. This study shows that an integrative partnership is needed between coconut farmer, coconut entrepreneurs (coconut processing factories) and the government to improve the condition of the coconut industry in Riau Province. Keywords: Export, Fresh Coconut, Desicatted, Coconut Industry, Coconut Farmer, Effect, Riau Province.

Abstract

The Tourism Industry can create a travel experience for tourists with product service activities provided. Many of the Hajj and Umrah travel companies, become a challenge for the travel bureau in giving full confidence to pilgrims in the decision making they choose. The strategy of the travel party in advancing and maintaining its business certainly needs the full trust of pilgrims in choosing the travel agency. The focus of research that makes reference in congregational decisions is the introduction of needs, the search for alternative information, the assessment of various kinds of information obtained, the decision to buy, and the evaluation after purchase. This study aims to find out how the process of decision making for the purchase of an Umrah package in Pakem tours Pekanbaru. The quantitative descriptive approach method can provide a detailed description of the problem under study.The sampling method used in this study was a simple random sampling sample with a total sample of 73 people obtained using the formula from Ridwan, data collection techniques in this study using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. This study uses a measurement technique with a Likert scale. The results of this study use that decision making on purchasing Umroh packages in Pakem tours Pekanbaru shows that the decision making process greatly affects consumers in making decisions on buying Umroh packages in Pakem tours Pekanbaru. Keywords: Decision making, Umrah Package, Travel Bureau

Abstract

This research aims to determine about the procedure for reservations form of Front Office Department at Labersa Grand Hotel and Convention Center Pekanbaru. Reservation form is the process of making a list of guest orders in accordance with existing procedures. Labersa is an abbreviation of "Eight Brothers" which was inaugurated in 2009, Labersa Grand Hotel and Convention Center is located on the road Labersa - Parit Indah, Pekanbaru which is a subsidiary of PT. LABERSA HUTAHEAN. This research to make use qualitative method to analysis set of case, wich to become the key informan in this research as much as three people’s. That is 1  Duty Manager, 1 Reservation Staff and 1 Front Desk Agent. Sources were obtained through interview, observation, and documentation. Based on result of this research, the conckusions of this research ate reservation form of front office department has been done, but still needs to be improved raising required so that reservation form will be better in the future.  Keywords : Reservation form, Front Office, Hotel

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that affect land and building tax revenue in Pekanbaru City. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis case study. Data collection techniques used through interviews as primary data and field search as secondary data.          The concept of the theory used by researchers is the driving factors and inhibitors of tax revenue indicators, namely, Economic Growth, Number of Population and Awareness of taxpayers. This research uses qualitative research methods, with descriptive data review. In collecting data, researchers used interview and documentation techniques.          The results of this study are that Economic Growth and Population Number affect land and building tax receipts in Pekanbaru City in 2013-2018. If it can be realized it will certainly be a potential source of revenue. And also the inhibiting factor in receiving land and building tax is the lack of awareness and compliance of taxpayers in paying taxes, so that the achievement of the targets set is not achieved or optimal. Abstract

The rapid development of the world of tourism is not only marked by the number of tourist attractions but also can be marked by the number of new hotels built in various cities. A good hotel is judged by the good or not service provided. Good and bad service determines whether or not many complaints are given by guest. The complaints is given by guests must be resolved by the hotel staff, especially the waiter because dealing directly with guests when complaints occur in the restaurant. The handling complaints must has stages in solution. And everything must be resolved quickly and precisely. This study aims to determine how to handle complaints that occur in The View Hotel Royal Asnof Pekanbaru restaurant. This research uses descriptive qualitative method to analyze problems based on data collection techniques of interviews, observations, and documentation which can then be drawn conclusions. The subject of this research was obtained from interviews with key informants like HRD, F&B Service Manager, Supervisor, and Waiters. And the results of the research carried out like how the hotel's staff especially the waiter when their trying to handle the complaints. And the handling complaints is focused on complaints that occur because of the service and atitude the waiters when their are face up to the guest. Although this does not rule out the possibility of a complaint in the future because it cannot be avoided, therefore special attention is needed for handling the complaint. So the restaurant The View Hotel Royal Asnof Pekanbaru can not be said regardless of the name of the complaint. Keywords: The Handling of Guest Complaints

Abstract

 RR Cafe Pekanbaru is one of the cafes with fairly busy guest visits, this is because the coffee menu served is a variety of which is prepared by a trained barista from the cafe. The importance of a barista's creativity in creating a cup of espresso and a beautiful painting of art on the coffee foam greatly affects the quality of the coffee. The research was conducted to see the creativity of a barista in preparing a cup of coffee. This study uses qualitative methods, while the data analysis techniques in this study use observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The key information in this study were 3 baristas. The purpose of this research is to analyze deeply the creativity of RR Café baristas who have succeeded in creating delicious coffee tastes so that the RRcafe is crowded with guests from any circle. Keywords: Creativity, Barista, Coffee and Cafe.

Abstract

China used to import fifty-six percent of the entire world solid waste to be used as raw material for manufacturing production. Due to the bad quality of couple kinds of waste and massive foreign waste, China launched National Sword Policy which that has been effective since January 2018. This policy impact on United Kingkom as one of the waste exporter. This research described the response’s United Kingdom to China National Sword PolicyThis qualitative research is document analysis using data from book, journals, newspapers and websites such as www.gov.uk and www.greenpeace.com to describe United Kingdom’s adjustment for its policies. Nation-state level analysis with liberalism perspectives about export and rational choice theories was used to elaborate United Kingdom’s new measures. The result showed that United Kingdom has to adjust its environmental regulatios since National Sword Policy in China bans twenty-four its  solid waste export. First, UK ban on single-use plastic items started from 2020. Second, the UK tried to get places to dump for its waste. Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia will be targeted for UK waste export alternatives. The rational choice has directed UK to take lesson from China that this similar policy should be implemented too since good waste management is a necessary currently.
