Abstract

Leardership style and work environment will impact on employee performance. So to build an organization, leaders and workers must work together to achieve company goals. This study aims to determine about the influence of leadership style and working environment on the performance of the employee (Study at The PTPN V Vice Factory Rokan Hulu District). Styles leadership as a variable (X1), the work environment as a variable (X2) and employee performance as (Y).The method in this research is descriptive and quantitative using SPSS 17, wherein the samples used are permanent employees at The PTPN V Vice Factory Rokan Hulu District by respondents as many as 62 peoples. The formula used to determine the sample slovin, as well as a sampling technique by means of probability sampling include. Data collection through questionnaires and interview. Results so it can be know that the leadership style variable have a significant effect on the performance of employees, the working environment have a significant effect on employee performance, and significant relationship between the leadership style and work environment on employee performance. Keywords: Leadership Style, Work Environment, Employee Performance

Abstract

Kuta Saga Village is the oldest village in the Royal District of Pakpak Bharat Regency, North Sumatra Province which is led by a female village head. His leadership has lasted for 3 periods as head of Kuta Saga village. The current village head in Kuta Saga village is able to hold the position of village head for three consecutive terms, of course, requires a strategy to be able to maintain his position.                This study is to find out how the strategy of winning the incumbent village head candidate in the election of the Kuta Saga village head, Kerajaan sub-district, Pakpak Bharat district, North Sumatra province in 2018 and what are the factors that led to the election of Marlina Boangmanalu as the Head of Kuta Saga Village, Kerajaan District, Pakpak Bharat Regency, Sumatra Province. North 2018. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The types of data in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews and documentation.                The results of this study indicate that the strategy for winning the incumbent village head candidate in the Kuta Saga village head election, Kerajaan sub-district, Pakpak Bharat district, North Sumatra province in 2018 consists of offensive and defensive strategies. The approach, the figure of the success team, the clan factor and money politics were the success factors for Marlina Boangmanalu in obtaining votes in the 2018 Kuta Saga village head election.  Keywords : Strategy, Incumbent, Village Head Election

Abstract

Jujuran is a gift from the man to the woman in the form of an agreed amount of money. Jujuran is different from dowry (dowry). Jujuran is not the full property right for the bride as is the bride price. The large amount of jujuran of a woman is influenced by several factors such as the background of the bride, the level of education, employment, and beauty that a woman has. Society considers jujuran as a tradition that has been maintained and must be preserved. The demand for a large amount of jujuran is certainly contrary to the teachings of Islam which makes it easy and does not burden the road to hold a wedding. This research was conducted in Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the practice of "maantar jujuran" tradition in the Banjar tribe community in Tembilahan District. The focus topics in this study are the tradition of maantar jujuran used in the Banjar tribal community, and the meaning of jujuran believed by the Banjar tribe community in Tembilahan. The author uses qualitative research methods and uses Purposive Sampling techniques, the data instrument is Observation, Interview and Documentation. Researchers put forward that the tradition of maantar jujuran is one of the traditions that is always believed before a wedding.

Abstract

Work safety is an activity out in order to avoid the risk of accidents or damage at work, in this case there is a SOP standart operational procedure that regulates it. This research was conducted at KOH TIEN MENG (KTM) Resort Batam in the housekeeping departement with a total of seven key informan room attendants. This study aims to determine how the application of work safety in the hotel room KOH TIEN MENG (KTM) Resort Batam. In this case the researcher uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the problem by collecting data or information through interviews, observation and documentation then conclusions can be draw. The result of this study are for the implementation of work safety in KTM Resort Batam hotel room has not been going according to procedures and there needs to be more improvement from both hotel management and employees.Keywords : safety works, housekeeping, roomboy

Abstract

After the enactment of Law no. 23/2014 The Government of Kampar Regency handed over the authority to manage mining affairs (Batuan Galian C) to the Riau Provincial Government. The management of mining affairs in Kampar Regency is technically managed by the Branch Office of Energy and Mineral Resources of Riau Province, region I of Kampar Regency after the transfer of authority. The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe the processes and policies after the transfer of authority for mining affairs from the Regency / City Government to the Riau Provincial Government which was carried out in Kampar Regency.This study aims to examine how and what are the inhibiting factors for the diversion of the administration of quarry (C) mining affairs in the Kampar Regency Government in 2017-2018. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The location of this research was conducted in Kampar Regency and Pekanbaru City. Data collection techniques used are through interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is an interactive analysis model.The results of the study concluded that based on the observations and analysis of the researchers were 1). The process of transferring government authority to mining affairs is proceeding quite well. However, especially in Kampar Regency, the Kampar Regency Mining Service Office Building looks abandoned and is not being used. Meanwhile, the Kampar District Office I Branch had to rent a building to become an office. 2). After the transfer of government affairs in the mining sector to the Riau Provincial Government, the Riau Provincial Government carried out many efforts to be able to properly exercise its authority based on the applicable Law. One of them is forming a Service Branch which is divided into 7 Regions. However, in the field it can be seen that the implementation of guidance and supervision carried out by the Riau Province government, both the Riau Province ESDM Service and the Kampar District I Regional Office Branch, has not been optimal. 3). Factors inhibiting the diversion of the implementation of quarry mining affairs c, namely: a) Lack of government coordination. b). Inadequate competency of personnel / employees. c). The number of employees is insufficient. d). The transfer of mining affairs to the Provincial Government is not accompanied by a transfer of mining business taxes / levies.   Keywords: Operational Transfer, Authority, Quarry Mining C

Abstract

The Family of Hope Program (PKH) is a program to provide conditional social assistance to Poor Families (KM). In the PKH KPM program can only be a beneficiary within 5 years after that KPM must resign and be replaced with other poor families. Therefore, social workers should be able to provide guidance on the assistance provided and make it provision after KPM graduates. This study aims to find out how social workers' communication skills in creating contact, capturing or understanding information, providing feedback or feedback, and directing beneficiary families to do something in a hopeful family program (PKH).This research uses qualitative research method with descriptive approach, this research was conducted in Kepau Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency. The study subjects consisted of four (4) informants selected through purposive techniques and accidental techniques. Research data obtained through the interview process, observation and documentation. While the data analysis techniques used are data collection by means, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion and verification. To achieve the validity of the data, the author uses the extension of participation and triangulation.The results showed that the communication skills of social workers are the first 4, namely building interpersonal relationships by means of Trust Building and Small talk, the second is capturing and understanding the information of social workers using ways to conform to KPM and not patronizing during communication, then providing feedback with ventilation techniques that are techniques used by social workers to bring to the surface the necessary feelings and attitudes and then use easy language in the KPM , and the last one directed KPM to do something like graduation yaiu to move KPM out of PKH beneficiaries by convincing KPM not to rely and able to utilize PKH assistance and then open a business field to improve KPM ekomoni. Key words: Keterampilan Komunikasi, Pekerja Social, Program PKH

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of OCAS (Orquesta Da Camara De Siero) in conducting diplomacy through the promotion of Spanish music at Vinculos Indonesia 2017. Vinculos is one of the activities owned by OCAS, which is run annually to spread tolerance between ethnic, religious and cultural In addition, this activity is intended to introduce orchestras to remote areas, provide rehabilitation assistance through music, present and help develop music in schools and make good relations with fellow musicians around the world.This research uses a pluralism perspective. Pluralism believes that the state is not the only actor in the international world. This research is also guided by the theory of Cultural Diplomacy and the Soft Power Concept. The method used is a qualitative method. Data interview techniques and literature studies from several journals, books, documents and websites.This study shows the activities carried out by OCAS while in Indonesia in the Vinculos 2017 activities. Diplomacy carried out by OCAS in Indonesia uses the form of diplomacy in the form of exhibitions, negotiations and conferences. The forms of diplomacy that have been carried out by OCAS have resulted in good relations between OCAS and the Indonesian government and the Indonesian people. so there are follow-up activities for Vinculos 2018 and Vinculos 2019. Keywords : OCAS, Vinculos 2017, Indonesia.

Abstract

From the production data that has been obtained, the production results at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Tamora Gardens continued to show increases, exceeding the stipulated Budget Work Plan (RKAP). Increased production of oil palm, while initially this Tamora Gardens produced rubber. However, the lack of a level of commitment to employees' awareness makes the company constrained. Therefore it is necessary to study strategies to improve employee performance. The purpose of this study was to determine how the strategy for improving employee performance and to determine the factors supporting the strategy for improving employee performance at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Tamora Gardens, Tapung Hulu District, Kampar Regency. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. From the research results found that the strategy to improve the performance of employees of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Tamora Gardens has been going well. Judging from several well-executed indicators, such as motivation by providing direction and meeting economic needs or appropriate remuneration for what employees do, discipline by enforcing existing rules, work environment by providing supportive housing facilities, and commitment by providing sanctions for employees who break the rules. Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Semen Padang Jl. Raya Indarung Padang, West Sumatra. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership style on employees performance at the HR department of PT. Semen Padang. Transformational leadership style as the independent variable (X) and employees performance as the dependent variable (Y).The problem in this research is that the performance of the HR department employees is still fluctuating and has not reached the predetermined target because the realization has not shown a significant increase each year. The sample of this study was taken as many as 38 respondents from the population calculated using the census method. Data obtained from the results of a questionnaire distributed in the HR department of PT. Semen Padang. The analysis technique used is simple linear regression, the coefficient of determination, and t test.The results of tests conducted indicate that the tranformational leadership style on  leader of  HR departement and the employees performance in good category. Based on T test transformasional leadership atyle has a significant  effect  on  the employees performance. And for the coefficient of transformasional  leadership  style has a significant effect on the employees performance with R square value  0.123. that thing conducted  the transformational leadership style  has give  effect  12,3 %  on employees performance and 87,7% has determined of other variable  that is not include of this research. Keywords: Transformational Leadership Style, Employees Performance

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the PMKS PT. Inti Indosawit Subur towards the socio-economic conditions of the community of Desa Mekar Jaya. This research design is in the form of descriptive quantitative with sample selection using a simple random technique. The data collection tools used was questionnaire sheets, documentation, and direct observation. The total population in the study was 700 people who live in Desa Mekar Jaya with a sample size of 100 respondents who were obtained using the Slovin formula, with a 10% leeway percentage used. The results of this study indicate that the impact of PMKS is examined from 2 aspects, namely the impact of PMKS on social conditions and the impact of PMKS on economic conditions. The positive impact of PMKS on social conditions is in the high (10.0%), medium (18.0%) and low (22.0%) categories while the negative impacts of PMKS on social conditions are in the high category (10.0%), the medium category (19.0%) and the low category (21,%). The positive impact of PMKS on economic conditions was in the medium category (24.0%) and the low category (26.0%) while the negative impact of PMKS on economic conditions are in the high category (8.0%), the medium category (32.0%) and the low category (10.0%). Based on the results of this study, it was suggested to PMKS PT. Inti Indosawit Subur to pay more attention to factory activities that affect the social and economic conditions of the Desa Mekar Jaya Community. Keywords        : Impact, Socio-economic, Community
