Abstract

This research is a political study that describes the culture of diplomacy (gastrodiplomacy) between Indonesia and China. This research focuses on how Indonesia's strategy in cultural diplomacy is through Indonesian cuisine this is qualitative research which used descriptive methods, and collecting datas from some resources like book, journals, official publications and relevant website. this paper used the neo-realism perspektif and nation-state from Paul R. Viotti and Mark V Kauppi. the object in this research is Indonesia as main actor in international relations The result of this research is that Indonesia has succeeded in organizing a culinary event in China, Indonesia has also succeeded in making a tempe factory. Abstract

Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru is the first luxury international business hotel in the Malay heritage city of Pekanbaru (Riau), Sumatra island from Core Hospitality International which offers customers a unique and extraordinary experience with a very comfortable, affordable and irresistible choice, while "It's the EXTRA THOUGHT that makes all the difference" is Motto. If the guest who stays does not get satisfactory service, or is even disappointed / angry, it is possible that the guest will tell his disappointment to others so that it will reduce the number of guests who will come to stay at the hotel. Therefore, this study aims to find out how to maintain room facilities at the Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru and also to find out the obstacles in implementing room facilities maintenance at the Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze problems based on data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Maintenance this hotel room facilities use 3 theories including, daily cleaning, general cleaning and decoration. Based on the results of the research that has been done, for the overall results of the observations and interviews, it can be concluded that the Room Boy Facilities Maintenance at the Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru has not been fully maintained by the Room Boy at the hotel. Abstract

As people who work around food, a high standard of worker hygiene is required. Employee hygiene must be carried out by making sure to keep workers and their clothes clean by following standard hotel operating procedures. Workers have a responsibility to produce safe food products and good worker hygiene is one of the important things needed to keep food products safe from microbial contamination. This study aims to identify and analyze the process of implementing Personal Hygiene at the Food and Beverage Product Hotel Fourpoints By Sheraton Batam. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects or respondents in this study used a purposive sampling technique, which was determined based on the person who was considered to know the most about the information needed in the study. The research subjects in this study were all Food and Beverage Product employees, totaling 6 people consisting of: Head Chef, Demi Chef, First Cook and Cook Helper who were involved and related to the procedures for implementing personal hygiene in Food and Beverage Products at Fourpoints By Sheraton Hotel. Batam. Then, how to collect data using Observation, Interview and Documentation. The results showed that the application of Personal Hygiene at the Food and Beverage Product Hotel Fourpoints By Sheraton Batam had been implemented quite well and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures that had been made by the Company. However, there are still some Kitchen Employees who have not complied with and properly implemented the Standard Operating Procedures that have been made by the Company. Abstract

The problem of poverty which is quite complex requires the intervention of all parties together and coordinated. Therefore, regional governments must budget funds for social assistance to people who are classified as poor to be assisted in their lives, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially for Pekanbaru City in 2019 there are 324,000 people who are classified as poor and continue to increase, therefore the Government Pekanbaru City can provide social assistance to the affected poor vulnerable people in meeting their basic needs. One type of social assistance to the community is basic necessities, which is assistance given to almost all poor people. The Pekanbaru City Social Service has the role of coordinating social issues in the provision of Pekanbaru City social assistance, the role of the Pekanbaru City Social Service in distributing basic food assistance, starting from planning assistance needs, monitoring, coordinating and assisting in providing assistance. However, in the implementation of basic food social assistance to the community, there are still problems that can hinder these activities such as misappropriation of social assistance funds, the absence of socialization carried out by the government to the community. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the performance of the Pekanbaru City Social Service and the factors that influence the provision of basic food social assistance in Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study concluded that the performance of the Pekanbaru City Social Service in Providing Basic Food Social Assistance in Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City according to the level of productivity achievement carried out by data collection and monitoring activities for the poor and the provision of basic food assistance has been going quite well. As for the influencing factors, among others, not all parties in the sub-district area who participated in the data collection of the basic food program, the number of human resources/implementers and the re-reporting were not given to the kelurahan party. Abstract

The Covid-19 Pandemic that entered Indonesian was designated as a non-natural disaster that was being watched out for since March 2020. This pandemic has caused various impact in various sector, both the health, economic and social sectors. The central and regional government have issued various policies to control the increase in cases affected by Covid-19. The Government is also trying to control economic stability by implementing a New Normal policy, but after the implementation of New Normal policy, Covid-19 cases are increasing.The purpose of this study is to find out how economic actors react to the New Normal policy in Pekanbaru in 2020. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method. In collecting data the author uses interview and documentation techniques.The New Normal policy caused a reaction from the government, business actors and the community. It’s because in the establishment of the New Normal policy there are conflicting interest, namely between economic interest and health interest. Each actors has different interest both the government and business actors or the community. Due to different interest in the midst the Covid prevention policies, there will be a reaction. From this research, it can be seen the various reactions made by the government, business actor and the community. That is seen by criticizing and protesting directly to the government or accepting and obeying the New Normal policy. The reaction of economic actors to the New Normal policy include being able to accept it while still providing some suggestions, accept without protesting, and there are also those who ignore the New Normal Policy. Keyword : New Normal Policy, Reaction

Abstract

Globalization has in fact become one of the major components as a driver of the world to be more advanced, especially in the field of technology. In the current era technology has developed very rapidly as evidenced by the birth of Financial Technology (fintech), one of which is a Paylater that relies on the label of an application called Shopee Paylater. Life Style from a shopping style is a proof of self-image for the surrounding environment. This study was conducted to find out more about online shopping behavior using the Shopee Paylater feature in adolescents, especially students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method using a phenomenological approach. The results of the study wereobtained from interviews with resource persons and also using comparisons from studies that have been studied previously. The influence of lifestyle and social in fact really greatly affects the use of Shopee Paylater and also affects the behavior or shopping behavior patterns of students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Riau. Paylater itself is centered or intended to focus more on students with all the worries that often occur at the end of the month. Students who tend to like shopping with Shopee Paylater make their lifestyle more consumptive, and the use of Shopee Paylater occurs because of social influences todevelop self-image, friends or close relatives, as well as the advantages offered from the Shopee application. Abstract

Motivation is an important factor for prospective tourists in making decisions about tourist destinations to be visited. This study aims to determine the motivation of tourists when visiting the Kinantan Magasatwa and Cultural Park tourism object, Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra. This research uses mixed methods with quantitative descriptive approach. The number of samples in this study were 100 samples who were tourists from the Kinantan Cultural and Magasatwa Park tourism object in Bukittinggi City. In this study, the data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, the influence of physical motivation got a score of 1,719 with the category of strongly agreeing, cultural motivation getting a score of 980 with the category of disagreeing, social motivation getting a score of 1,350 with the category of not agreeing, and fantasy motivation getting a score of 677 with the category agreeing. Thus, the motivation for tourist visits to the Kinantan Bukittinggi Wildlife and Cultural Park tourism object is to visit on the basis of having physical motivation. Abstract

This research was conducted with limitations in the form of policy implementation and factors that influence the policy to know the implementation of public information disclosure policies and the inhibiting factors in the Siak Regency Government. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Public Information Disclosure Policy in the Siak Regency Government has not been optimal or well realized. The factors that cause this to happen are the lack of coordination between the government and the community as well as social conditions. Based on these findings, implementors should improve their coordination with related agencies, provide strict sanctions against persons who do not comply with applicable regulations, and improve facilities in the form of health insurance to seek information through information portals. This effort is made to create a more informative government so that people are more concerned with their government following the expectations of the Siak Regency government. Abstract

This research was conducted at PT Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) Taluk Kuantan on Jalan Imam Munandar, No. 25 Sungai Lintang, Beringin Taluk Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Kuantan Tengah District, Riau. partially and simultaneously on consumer satisfaction. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative, with data sources from primary and secondary data. The analytical method used in this study is simple and multiple linear regression analysis, and with validation tests and reliability tests. In this study the results obtained are: service quality (X1) has a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction (Y), price (X2) has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction (Y), on time delivery (X3) has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. consumer (Y) at PT Lintas Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) Taluk Kuantan. Abstract

The waste problem is a fact faced by the community in Sungai Golang Village, the presence of waste can cause environmental pollution and is dangerous for public health if not managed properly. This study aims to determine: 1.) community behavior in managing waste (covering waste processing methods, public knowledge of waste) 2.) factors that influence people in managing waste (including educational factors, economic factors, and cultural factors). The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative analysis approach. The results obtained are 1.) community behavior in the process of managing waste there are various ways ranging from separating wet and dry waste, then burning it and the community also knows how to manage waste properly and correctly, community behavior in processing waste in protecting the environment so that it stay clean and healthy is classified as a positive category 2.) the factors that influence the community in managing waste are self-awareness of environmental cleanliness and the means to support the process of processing waste which are also not available are factors that influence the community in processing waste, then the education factor about how widely public knowledge about waste and good processing methods, economic and income factors as well as cultural factors about community habits that affect how to process waste.
