Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of promotion and location on purchasing interest in Toyota Innova cars Pt. Agung Toyota Pangkalan Kerinci, Pelalawan, Riau. The method used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression. The sample in this study amounted to 66 respondents using the Slovin method and using questionnaires and interviews as research instruments. Through instrument tests and data analysis techniques which include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, regression equation tests, partial tests, simultaneous tests, and coefficient of determination tests, the results were obtained that promotion assessment (X1) has a positive and significant effect on purchase interest ( Y), location (X2) has a positive and significant effect on buying interest (Y), and promotion assessment (X1) and location (X2) have a positive and significant effect on buying interest (Y) in PT Toyota Innova cars. Abstract

This research analyzes the Urgency of Arranging Indonesia's Defense Area in Facing Non-Traditional Threats in North Rupat in a case study of narcotics smuggling in the 2019-2022 period. The North Rupat area is a sub-district located on Rupat Island, Bengkalis Regency, Riau, which is the border area between Indonesia and Malaysia. North Rupat faces directly the Malacca Strait, which makes it an area vulnerable to both traditional and non-traditional threats. Narcotics smuggling is a non-traditional threat to state security as an actual threat that is currently occurring in North Rupat. North Rupat is a very strategic location for international narcotics syndicates to supply narcotics and distribute narcotics in Indonesia. This research was carried out descriptive qualitative using several methods for collecting data, including interviews, observations, and literature studies from books, journals, websites, and documents related to this collaboration. This research uses a constructivist perspective and securitization theory. The results of this article show how in accordance with securitization theory, it is necessary to escalate the issue of narcotics smuggling into a threat to state security that needs to be taken seriously by both the government and society. Then, in an effort to prevent and handle narcotics smuggling, there is an urgency to organize defense areas as regulated in Government Regulation no. 68 of 2014 concerning Defense Area Arrangement so that the national defense implementation agenda can be carried out optimally and effectively. Abstract

Twelve years in a row, the World Economic Forum has ranked Iceland as the nation with the highest level of gender equality. Even though Iceland has the maximum level of gender equality, there is still gender-based violence. According to Stigamot, an Icelandic survivor center, as many as 12% of Icelandic women reported experiencing gender-based violence, and as many as 40% of women entering college admitted to having experienced such violence. This study employs qualitative methods, with data collected from reputable sources such as books, official publications from the report from Stigamot, journals, and news articles. This study employs the capability theory to argue that violence against women unquestionably affects all economic, educational, social, and environmental factors. A number of efforts have been made by the Icelandic government to combat instances of gender-based violence, including the formation of a steering committee to address gender-based violence in accordance with Goal 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals. The findings of this study indicate that gender-based violence will increase in 2021, despite the fact that it still occurs today. The challenge for the government is the lack of shelters, the reluctance of people to disclose homelessness due to the stigma, and the inefficiency of decisions in Iceland. Abstract

The 2023 IDCloudHost Scholarship Program is a program in collaboration with Telkom University to finance further studies in undergraduate programs at Telkom University colleges. The 2023 IDCloudHost Scholarship is utilized by PT. Cloud Hosting Indonesia (IDCloudHost) as a product marketing strategy sees many applicants for the IDCloudHost scholarship program from year to year. This research aims to analyze the formulation, understand implementation, and examine the evaluation of communication strategies in product marketing through the IDCloudHost 2023 scholarship program. This research uses Fred R. David's strategy concept, which is divided into three stages. Uses qualitative methods to produce descriptive data. Meanwhile, determining research subjects uses purposive techniques. There were 7 informants in this study. Data collection techniques in this research were through interviews, observation and documentation. Then for data analysis techniques use the analysis proposed by miles and Huberman includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity checking techniques include triangulation and participation. The results of this research show that in the formulation, the communicator was Event & Program staff and someone recruited by IDCloudHost. Communicants are high school, vocational school graduates, gap year students, and first-semester students with a maximum age of 22 years. The message is information about scholarships and products that IDCloudHost has. The media used are Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, website and email. The effect is that the information is conveyed well by the audience and the targets that IDCloudHost wants to achieve are met. The implementation is creating content in all media, launching advertisements, holding events, and distributing marketing emails. The next evaluation is to be able to compare the increase from year to year and conduct a survey to find out how much the number of applicants for the 2023 IDCloudHost scholarship has increased. Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of knowing the management of Pangkalan Tampoi Village-Owned Enterprises, Kerumutan District, Pelalawan Regency in 2023, which was reviewed based on the indicators that are the basis for the growth of Pangkalan Tampoi Village. Village-Owned Enterprises are institutions that are managed directly by the community and also the Village Government in an effort to strengthen the Village economy. This research aims to find out the process of managing Village-Owned Enterprises in Pangkalan Tampoi Village, Kerumutan District, Pelalawan District. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative. By using this technique, data collection begins by conducting interviews with informants who have the potential to provide accurate information about the management process of Pangkalan Tampoi Village-Owned Enterprises, and also through interviews and documenting the results of BUMDes management. The theory used in this research is Sutoro Eko, which contains several indicators, namely Leadership, Managerial and Governance (KMT), Business Scale and Reach, Local Emancipation, Cooperation, Village Traditions. The research results show that BUMDes Pangkalan Tampoi has been established for 3 years, BUMDes Pangkalan Tampoi in its management is still in the developing stage. Currently BUMDes is running quite slowly so that it has not achieved the goal of establishing BUMDes, this can be proven by the many obstacles that occur. The factors are low community participation, support from the village government and lack of partner cooperation. The conclusion is that the management of BUMDes in Pangkalan Tampoi is not good enough, compared to BUMDes in Pelalawan Regency. Keywords: Management, Village-Owned Enterprises

Abstract

The problems that occur in the motorized trishaw public transportation in Selat Panjang city occur due to the emergence of the phenomenon of motorized pedicabs which are mushrooming in the Selat Panjang city and become one of the sources of livelihood for the people of Selat Panjang. This motorized rickshaw has not received more attention from the Selat Panjang City Transportation Agency government agency. Motorized rickshaws in Selat Panjang need attention from related parties because these motorized rickshaws can cause problems that cannot be underestimated, such as traffic accidents, due to a lack of safety standards and passenger safety standards and other matters related to safety when driving in public road. This motorized rickshaw is an alternative transportation that really helps people in the city of Selat Panjang with a cheap and fast fare, so many people choose to use a motorized rickshaw to move from one place to another. Therefore it is necessary to have clear regulations to regulate motorized rickshaws, so that this phenomenon can be minimized. The results of this study show how the role of the Department of Transportation is in controlling and optimizing the phenomenon of motorized rickshaws in the Long Strait. The theory used is the role theory of Biddle and Thomas in Sarwono (2015: 218). This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data analysis technique uses the Sugiono method (2013). The results of this study indicate that the role of the Department of Transportation in licensing motorized pedicab road transport has not gone well. the reason is the lack of coordination between the Department of Transportation, the Police and the Regional Government so that the goals to be achieved have not been realized. Therefore, the researchers suggest that the Meranti Islands Regency Transportation Service coordinate with the police and the Regional Government and carry out routine outreach to motorized pedicab drivers and provide strict action to violators of existing rules. Abstract

Indonesia conducts international trade to meet its national needs for a commodity, namely tobacco. Indonesia's tobacco production is not enough to meet its needs. This need is influenced by the high number of smokers. Therefore, Indonesia imports from various countries, one of which is Brazil. This research is a qualitative study with secondary data collection taken from journals, news, and official websites. This thesis in accordance with the theme uses the theory of international trade put forward by Hecsker-Ohlin which assumes that there are two countries (Country 1 and Country 2), two commodities (commodity X and commodity Y), and two factors of production (labor and capital). Indonesia's tobacco production continues to increase, which is around 200 thousand tons, but Indonesia's tobacco needs reach 300 thousand tons, the magnitude of demand does not escape the high consumption of cigarettes around 34.5 percent. Therefore, Indonesia imports tobacco from Brazil to meet its national needs. Thus, the volume of Brazilian tobacco imports continues to increase despite fluctuations every year. Abstract

Indragiri Hulu Regency is an area that is rich in natural potential, historical value, arts and culture and has a variety of tourism potential that can be developed. The Indragiri Hulu Regency government is also aware of the huge potential of tourist destinations, which is reflected in the Vision and Mission of the Regent of Indragiri Hulu 2021-2026. The Vision of the Regent of Indragiri Hulu 2021-2026 is "Creating Integration for a More Prosperous Indragiri Hulu Community" and one of the Missions of the Regent of Indragiri Hulu 2021-2026 focuses on "Integrated Tourism and Creative Economy Development". However, it was reported that the vision and mission had not been implemented optimally due to the lack of optimal tourist destination management programs and inadequate funding. The theory used in this research is Political will from Derick (1999). This research aims to find out why the Regent of Indragiri Hulu did not make the tourism sector a priority sector in the development plan for Indragiri Hulu district in 2022, to find out the commitment to the vision and mission of the Regent of Indragiri Hulu regarding tourism and to find out the allocation of funds for Indragiri Hulu tourism in 2022. The data used in this research refers to data collected from interviews, field observations, and documentation supported by data published by several related agencies. The research indicators are program evaluation of the implementation of the Indragiri Hulu Regent's vision and mission, government initiatives, priorities, mobilization of political and public support, policies, fund allocation, continuity and adaptation. This data shows that the tourism sector is designated as a preferred sector as explained in the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 32 of 2004 and Law no. 23 of 2014. Even though it is a selected government affairs sector, the development and management of tourist destinations is one of the leading programs. However, the implementation of the vision and mission cannot be said to be optimal, especially with the minimal allocation of funds for Indragiri Hulu tourism in 2022. The government is committed to maximizing the implementation of the vision and mission in the future through several alternative initiatives. Keywords: Tourism, Indragiri Hulu, Vision and Mission

Abstract

This research delves into the execution of Indonesian Cultural Diplomacy through the platform of the International Gamelan Festival 2018 hosted in Solo. The orchestration of this event was overseen by the Indonesian government with the aim of cultivating a positive worldwide viewpoint of the country. The central emphasis of this investigation centers on dissecting Indonesia's showcasing of the cultural diplomacy principles of Transmission, Acceptance, and Coexistence, all encapsulated within the context of the International Gamelan Festival 2018. This process significantly contributed to the shaping of Indonesia's global image. The primary beneficiaries of this Indonesian cultural diplomacy venture were the international participants actively involved in the festival. The research methodology employed for this study is descriptive in nature, involving an in-depth examination of relevant literature to gather data. This investigation is rooted in both the principles of cultural diplomacy theory and a pluralistic perspective. These conceptual frameworks serve as foundational guides for analyzing Indonesia's strategic approach to cultural diplomacy, as demonstrated by its involvement in the International Gamelan Festival. The outcomes derived from this study highlight that the Indonesian cultural diplomacy, as showcased through the International Gamelan Festival 2018 in Solo, substantially amplified Indonesia's positive global reputation. This impact was particularly evident among international participants who deeply engaged with the festival's cultural presentations. Furthermore, this diplomatic endeavor facilitated the dissemination of insights into Indonesian culture and cultivated a sense of familiarity among the foreign attendees actively participating in the International Gamelan Festival 2018 in Solo. Abstract

This research is based on the number of public reports that have been submitted to the West Sumatra Representative Ombudsman regarding allegations of maladministration that occurred in the field of education, especially at the high school/equivalent level in Padang City. These problems need to be prevented by the Ombudsman to prevent repeated maladministration in the field of special education at the high school/equivalent level. This study aims to determine the capabilities of the West Sumatra Representative Ombudsman in an effort to prevent maladministration in the education sector in the city of Padang in 2023. The theory used is the Core Capability theory according to Leonard and Barton in Suherlan (2019). The methods used in this study are qualitative descriptive methods, data collection techniques through interviews and documentation, data analysis techniques are carried out through qualitative descriptive methods based on four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the capability of the West Sumatra Representative Ombudsman in efforts to prevent maladministration in the education sector in the city of Padang in 2023 in the dimension of knowledge and skills has been maximized, but in the dimension of technical systems (technical systems) has not been maximized because the Ombudsman does not have a special SOP in preventing maladministration in the field of education, in the dimension of managerial systems (managerial system) has not been maximized because the Ombudsman Representative of West Sumatra has not reached all schools at the high school/equivalent level to carry out their duties in an effort to prevent maladministration in the field of education, and in the dimension of values and norms (values and norms) has not been maximized because the principle of balance has not been implemented properly because not all high schools/equivalents visited or interacted with the Ombudsman. This is due to the lack of human resources in the field of prevention at the West Sumatra Representative Ombudsman institution.
