Abstract

Ambon City is one of the cities in Indonesia that has regulations related to waste management. The existence of these regulations does not make Ambon City a good city in handling its waste. This can be seen by the increasing trend in the amount of waste volume each year in Ambon City. Non-Governmental Organization as one of the actors that can have a strategic role and be able to realize a circular economy in handling waste in Indonesia. One of the Non-Governmental Organizations that has taken part in efforts to deal with waste on both land and water in Indonesia is Clear Rivers. More specifically, it can be seen in the Ambon Plastic-Free project. Ambon Plastic-Free is a prevention project in handling waste, especially plastic waste in Ambon City. The study collected data from academic journals, books, official documents, theses, and internet sources related to the issue of UNICEF's collaboration in addressing child violence in Indonesia from 2017 to 2020. The author utilized a pluralistic perspective and group analysis approach. The theoretical framework employed in this study was the theory of International Organizations. The research findings indicate that UNICEF effectively addressed child violence through several collaborative efforts with Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the functions of the Meranti Islands Regency government in developing Liberika coffee in Kedaburapat Village and the factors that become obstacles in implementing this function. The theory used in this study is the theory of government functions according to Ryas Rasyd. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected by the authors using interview and documentation techniques. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The results of the study show that the government function in the development of Liberika coffee in Kedaburapat Village is carried out using 4 functions, namely the service function, the regulatory function, the development function and the empowerment function. The service function is carried out by preparing a service forum for the community with the Agricultural Service Unit (UPP) office to respond to complaints or requests from the community in agricultural management, especially for Liberal coffee farmers. The regulatory function carried out by the government in carrying out government functions is to determine the selling price of coffee fruit, but this has not yet been realized. The development function carried out by the government cannot be said to be successful, because the road access to and from Kedaburapat Village cannot be said to be good and proper. The empowerment function carried out by the government is to carry out education and counseling for Liberika coffee farmers, provide financing and capital facilities, and strengthen farmer institutions. All of this has been carried out quite well, although there are still deficiencies in several matters such as capital, and others. The factor that hinders the development of liberika coffee farmers is the lack of knowledge of the farming community both in technology and coffee maintenance techniques. This resulted in them only using traditional farming methods, so that their production results were not too optimal. Abstract

This study analyzes how modernization in Japan occurred due to the influence of Japan's defeat when the Satsuma troops faced British in the Anglo – Satsuma War which was triggered by the death of a British Shanghainese merchant in Namamugi. Japan is aware of their country's differences in strength in terms of military and technology, to improve both of these things the Satsuma people continue a modernization project called the Shuseikan Project with the main founder of this project a daimyo from the 28th Satsuma clan, this project continued with a new mission after sent several students from Satsuma to study in England and bring new knowledge upon their return to Satsuma. This study uses a qualitative method, with data collection techniques through literature study sourced from several books, journals, articles, websites. This study uses the perspective of Liberalism and Modernization theory. The results of this paper show that Japan is the first country in Asia to have succeeded in imitating the industrial revolution by absorbing knowledge from the West and increasing military strength and new technologies thanks to the Shuseikan project in Satsuma. This success can be seen as a butterfly effect from the Namamugi incident which escalated into a major war between Japan and Britain so that Japan realized the difference in strength and the importance of modernizing. Abstract

The purpose of research to determine crimes that occurred in the Indian Ocean region during the 5 years starting from 2018-2022, as well as cooperation and implementation of defense cooperation in the region. The Indian Ocean is a strategic water area which has a main purpose for the world economy. This ocean functions as a link for international trade routes from Asia to Europe or vice versa. Critical trade routes are the Strait of Malacca, the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb. Therefore, many crimes occur in these waters, such as transnational crimes, terrorism and border disputes. Method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using library research. The theory used to answer this research is maritime security theory by Natalie Klien, with indicators for management, development and protection of marine resources. The perspective used is liberalism, with a nation state level of analysis. Based on the research result that the cooperation carried out by Indonesia and India has collaborated in various fields such as dealing with transnational crime, terrorism and determining regional boundaries. These efforts are gathered within the IORA organization. However, this has not been fully implemented well. This happened because of the extradition agreement's lack of understanding by the implementing authorities in carrying out extradition. In preventing terrorism financing, there is still a lack of supervision over the flow of domestic funds. Meanwhile, the determination of the exclusive economic zone is still often violated by fishermen because the territorial boundaries are large, so that few fishermen or the community around Rondo Island in Aceh know their territorial boundaries. Abstract

Motivation is a psychological symptom that appears in a person consciously or unconsciously to take action with a specific purpose. For this reason, it can be concluded that motivation is a process that occurs both consciously and unconsciously to carry out certain actions that aim to meet needs so that an individual feels satisfied with that goal. With the motivation that encourages young girls to visit the Coffee Shop, from there a shift in meaning appears, from where the Coffee Shop was originally just a Coffee Shop, now they interpret it as a place of entertainment because the Coffee Shop now has many facilities. Hanging out culture is one of the many types of culture that exist. We can see this cultural pluralism in terms of attitudes, ways of life, and values that exist within certain groups. Hanging out at the Coffee Shop has become a lifestyle for modern society in Pekanbaru City, one of the Coffee Shops is the Kala Bumi Coffee Shop. This study aims to find out what motivates young girls to visit the Coffee Shop and how young women interpret Coffee Shops as a place of entertainment. The selection of subjects in this study used a purposive sampling method with characteristics of teenage girls who had an age range of 17-24 years and had visited the Kala Bumi Coffee Shop at least three times in the past month.
