Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the authority of the Pekanbaru City Communication and Information Service to prevent the spread of hoaxes in Pekanbaru City. This study aims to examine the implementation of the authority of the Pekanbaru City Communication and Information Service in monitoring and preventing hoax issues. Through an in-depth analysis of the strategies, efforts, and cooperation that have been carried out by the Communication and Information Service, this study is expected to provide a better understanding of the extent to which the institution is able to respond to the challenges of disinformation at the local level. This study is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The types of data are primary data and secondary data, primary data are obtained directly from informants. While secondary data is supporting data or strengthens primary data. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews and documentation. There are 4 stages of data analysis techniques used, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that describing the implementation of the authority of the Pekanbaru City Communication and Information Service to prevent the spread of hoaxes in Pekanbaru City as a whole is not yet effective. This is because several aspects have not run properly. The results of this study are based on the theory put forward by Dadang Surjanto. shows that there are shortcomings in the implementation of authority that has not been effective as it should be in handling the spread of hoaxes in Pekanbaru City. Abstract

Every country has an interest in pursuing development to enhance the welfare of its people. However, development that neglects environmental considerations can result in severe ecological damage. This study examines how UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere (MAB) program in the Giam Siak Kecil – Bukit Batu Biosphere Reserve, located in Riau Province, supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 15, which focuses on the protection of terrestrial ecosystems. A qualitative case study approach was used to explore the effectiveness of the MAB program in promoting environmental sustainability amid pressures from extractive industries such as palm oil plantations, mining, and the timber sector. The findings indicate that while the biosphere reserve has made significant contributions to biodiversity conservation and environmental education, it still faces major challenges. These include weak law enforcement, limited community participation, and the dominance of industrial interests that often exploit conservation zones for unsustainable practices. The MAB program is also vulnerable to misuse as a form of greenwashing by industries that seek legitimacy without true commitment to sustainability principles. Therefore, the successful implementation of the MAB program in Indonesia depends heavily on stricter oversight, comprehensive evaluation of the environmental impacts of economic activities, and active involvement of local communities as key ecosystem stewards. The government is also expected to take a firm stance against conservation violations to ensure that development genuinely aligns with sustainable principles. Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) through the Klik Pelalawan Application by the Pelalawan Regency Government from 2022 to 2024. The issue addressed in this study is that the Klik Pelalawan application is still Android-based and many features remain inaccessible. The aim of this research is to understand the implementation of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) through the Klik Pelalawan Application by the Pelalawan Regency Government in the years 2022–2024. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with interview and documentation techniques, and refers to the e-government implementation theory by Richardus Eko Indrajid (2002), which includes content development, competency development, connectivity, legal framework and instruments, collaboration, and project funding. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Klik Pelalawan application is underway but still not optimal. In terms of content development, the application has been well designed, but several issues remain. In terms of competency development, recruitment has been based on expertise, training has been provided, and appreciation has been given, although training remains insufficient. Regarding connectivity, the application was developed based on legal regulations concerning SPBE. As a result, a regent regulation was established to provide technical guidelines for the use of the Klik Pelalawan application and to ensure identity security. In terms of collaboration, the government has jointly operated the application, but socialization efforts remain lacking. Finally, in terms of project funding, there is no specific budget allocation designated for the application. Keywords: Klik Pelalawan Application, E-Government Implementation, SPBE

Abstract

This study focuses on the economic diplomacy strategy implemented by the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Chicago as an extension of Indonesian state institutions in the United States, aimed at enhancing the export of Indonesian coffee to the United States. Indonesia is the world's fourth-largest coffee producer, and the United States is the largest destination for Indonesian coffee exports. Indonesian coffee exports to the United States have experienced a decline and various obstacles, necessitating the adoption of an effective strategy to address these challenges. The research employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, utilizing various data collection techniques, including literature review from books, journals, websites, and related documents. The study adopts the perspectives of liberalism, economic diplomacy theory, and the nation-state analysis level. The findings of this study indicate that the economic diplomacy strategy executed by ITPC Chicago is carried out through four stages of economic diplomacy: salesmanship economy, the formation of economic networks and advocacy, image building, and regulation management and resource mobilization. As a result, there has been an increase in Indonesian coffee exports to the United States, as ITPC Chicago has contributed to enhancing the coffee export chain to the U.S. through promotional strategies at coffee exhibitions, expanding business networks between exporters and importers in the United States, and providing market information services in the form of coffee market reports. Abstract

In simple terms, Healing Tourism can be interpreted as a type of tourism that aims to provide a calming and restorative experience for tourists by traveling to visit tourist destinations that have Healing Tourism potential. The phenomenon that occurs is that even though the Dayun tourism village has the potential for Healing Tourism, the number of visits to the Dayun tourism village actually fluctuates. By knowing the most influencing Healing Tourism factors, it is hoped that Dayun tourism destinations can maximize the potential of these factors so that the number of tourist visits to Dayun tourism destinations no longer fluctuates. The purpose of this study is to see how much Healing Tourism has an influence on the increase in tourist visits in Dayun Tourism Village and which Healing Tourism factors have the greatest influence. The population is visitors to Dayun tourist destinations totaling 44,769 samples used in this study are 97 people. Healing Tourism has a significant effect on increasing tourist visits, the level of closeness is at a moderate level. Where the results of the correlation test obtained a probability number of 0.000 where this value is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant relationship between Healing Tourism and tourist visits, the correlation coefficient produced is 0.465. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Sapta Pesona concept in the management of the Bandar Khayangan Lake Lembah Sari tourist destination in Pekanbaru City and evaluate its impact on tourist appeal. The research employs a qualitative method with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study focuses on the application and principles of Sapta Pesona.The results show that Bandar Khayangan Lake has significant potential as a leading tourist destination due to its natural beauty, adequate supporting facilities, and easy accessibility. However, challenges such as inadequate facility maintenance, cleanliness management, and supervision remain key obstacles. Strategic measures undertaken include reforestation, facility improvement, visitor education, and collaboration with local communities. The implementation of Sapta Pesona has proven effective in creating a safe, comfortable, and memorable tourism experience, ultimately increasing tourist interest. This study concludes that Sapta Pesona-based management can be an effective strategy to support sustainable tourism development but requires synergy between the government, managers, and local communities to achieve optimal results. Abstract

Indonesia actively utilized the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai from 2021 to 2024 as a strategic platform to promote its tourism sector in the Middle East and international markets. This initiative, led by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), aimed to revitalize tourism after the COVID-19 pandemic, increase tourist arrivals from the Middle East, and boost national foreign exchange. This article seeks to explore Indonesia’s strategy in promoting tourism through ATM during the 2021–2024 period. This qualitative study employs the theory of public diplomacy and uses literature review as the main data collection method. The findings reveal that Indonesia implemented varied strategies each year: a hybrid format in 2021; business-to-business (B2B) meetings in 2022; the promotion of super-priority destinations under the “Visit Indonesia Year 2023” campaign; and a 2024 collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to promote Jakarta. These efforts demonstrated that participation in ATM has positively contributed to increasing tourist visits and enhancing Indonesia's foreign exchange earnings. Abstract

The Purpose of this final project is to find out the implemenmtation of houseman duties in the public area of Grand Bunda Hotel. Houseman is one of the parts that plays an important role in the Grand Bunda Bukittinggi Hotel. A houseman does their job in accordance with the SOP (Standar Operational Procedure), is responsible for providing a good and comfortable welcome to guests in finding a room. This research use qualitative research methods. Based on research conducted by the author, the obstacles that exist in the hotels are lack of housekeeping employees, and the lack of a toilet floor dryer. It is recommended that the hotel should add more employees so as not be overwhelmed when other employees are on leave. Keywords: Houseman, Hotel

Abstract

Tourism plays an important role in regional economic development, with facilities as a major component in supporting visitor comfort and satisfaction. Asia Farm, located in Pekanbaru City, is a rapidly developing tourist attraction that offers educational and recreational experiences. This study aims to examine the management of facilities at Asia Farm Pekanbaru and identify the obstacles faced during operation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Key informants include managers responsible for supervising facilities, working staff, and several tourists. The results of the study show that Asia Farm implements facility management through structured stages, namely: planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling. Staff assignments and task monitoring are carried out through digital applications to ensure real-time reporting. Although most of the facilities are well maintained, there are still problems such as damaged infrastructure and limited supporting facilities such as parking areas. In conclusion, the management of Asia Farm facilities is well organized but needs to be further improved in supervision and maintenance to improve service quality and increase visitor satisfaction and comfort. Abstract

The problem of sanitation is an international problem, Indonesia is one of the developing countries that tend to lack knowledge about the importance of sanitation. Poor water sanitation, hygiene causes the death of 1.5 million toddlers due to diarrhea every year. To achieve universal access, Indonesia and the United Nations International Emergency Children's Fund (UNICEF) collaborate through the Water, Sanitation, and Hygien (WASH) Program to overcome sanitation problems in Indonesia and meet universal access targets. This research aims to explore UNICEF's implementation of the WASH program in addressing sanitation and clean water issues in South Sulawesi. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with primary data collection techniques, namely interviews with resource persons from UNICEF Indonesia and Makassar and secondary with document analysis. This research uses the role theory of international organizations. This theory is used to explain and affirm UNICEF in carrying out its roles based on the values set by international organizations. The results showed that the WASH program implemented by UNICEF in South Sulawesi succeeded in achieving Open Defecation Free (ODF) status in 2021, with the achievement of a decent sanitation target of 91.57% in accordance with the RPJMD and RPJMN. And an increase in safe sanitation of 6.14%. UNICEF plays an important role through policy advocacy, regulatory strengthening, technical assistance and community empowerment, while supporting the government in achieving sustainable sanitation targets in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal 6 Keywords: WASH, Sanitation, UNICEF, South Sulawesi, International Organization
