Abstract

The objective of the research is to seek the influence of the type of compound fertilizer which can be used for different types of soil on palm oil seedling in the pre- nursery. This research was conducted in the experimental field and Laboratory of Production Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau in Campus Binawidya Km 12.5 Simpang BaruPekanbaru. The research was lasted 4 month from March 2016 until Juny 2016. Completely Rendomized Design (CRD) was used in this research, with two factors. first factor is three types of compound fertilizer and the second factor is planting medium that consists three level. Parameters measured were seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area. Data obtained from the research results were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance followed by a further test of Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. Based on factor analysis of variance that soil type sigmificantly affected plant height, number of leaves, core diameter, and leaf area of oil palm seedlings. Whereas factor and the interaction type of compound fertilizer and growing media influence the amount is not significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, core diameter, and leaf area of oil palm seedlings age of four months in Pre-nursery. The key word: the type of compound fertilizer, types of soil, the Oil Palm

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the distribution of household consumption expenditure, household wealth and household consumption expenditure comparison of ex- UPP TCSDP rubber farmers and Independent Smallholder in Koto Damai  village, midle-left of Kampar district Kampar regency. The research was conducted by survey method. Data were collected 30 samples of rubber farmers ex UPP TCSDP by using purposive sampling method and 20 samples ofindependently smallholderby using census method. The results showed that total household consumption expenditure ex UPP TCSDP rubber farmers was Rp 2,421,982 / RT / Month and the total household consumption expenditure independent smallholder amounted to Rp 1,637,013/Rt/Month. Household welfare ex UPP TCSDP rubber farmers and independent smallholderon approach of using proverty line including not poor category because household income in a month is above the poverty line of Kampar Regency 336.681. Based on 14 indicators of the fulfillment of the basic needs, 100 percent ex UPP TCSDP rubber farmers is  prosperous and 95 percent independent smallholder  in the category prosperous meets 1-3 indicators are in bad conditionand 5 percent in almost prosperous category meets 4-8 indicator bad condition.The results also show that there are differences in household consumption expenditure ex UPP TCSDPrubber farmers and independent smallholder because t count equal to 2,515 bigger than t table of 2.011. Keywords : rubber farmers, consumption expenditure, welfare

Abstract

The research aims to isolate and to observe the antagonicity of endophytic fungus from onion plant to control Alternaria porri. This research has been conducted at Plant Pathology Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau from March until April 2017. The methods which were used in this research are explorational method (isolation and purification of the endophytic fungus from onion), experimental methods (antagonicity test of fungus endophytic from onion and A. porri), and observation methods (hyperparasitism test of 5 fungus which has a high antagonicity to control A. porri).. Data collected from step 1 and 3 were analyzed descriptively. Step 2 a used analysis of variance. The mean of each treatment was compared with Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at level 5%. The result showed that there were 10 fungus. There were 5 highest antagonicity fungus E3 isolate (55,25%), E4 isolate (50,82%), E10 isolate (48,41%), E2 isolate (48,26%) and E1 isolate (47,76%). Key word: Antagonicity, endophyt fungus onion

Abstract

 Research on palm oil plant seeds using saline soil media has never been discouraged doing, therefore conducted research using saline soils by providing complementary liquid fertilizer treatment bayfolan. Fertilizer application through the leaves was conducted to determine the effect of fertilizer and to find the best fertilizer concentrations in the medium saline soil on the growth of seedlings of oil palm plantations. The experiment has been conducted in the station Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Pekanbaru from May 2016 to August 2016. This study used a completely randomized design consisting of 6 levels p0: 0 ml/l air, p1: 1 ml/l air, p2: 2 ml/l air, p3: 3 ml/l air, p4: 4 ml/l air and p5: 5 ml/lair. Data were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance, then the results followed with honestly significant difference test (BNJ) at 5%. Parameters measured were analysis of soil chemical properties, increase seedling height, increase the number of leaf midrib, increase in diameter hump, root volume, the ratio of the canopy and root and seedling dry weight. The results showed that the effect of fertilizer complementary liquid with different concentrations in the medium saline soil does not produce any real effect on the parameters of observation, only the parameters in the number of leaf midrib and dry weight were influential real and fertilizer complementary liquid with a concentration treatment 3 ml/l water results the highest growth ib the medium of oil palm seedlings to copy from the age of 3 months to 6 months. Keywords :Oil Palm Seedlings, Saline Soils, Fertilizers Liquid Complementary Bayfolan

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the influence of giving feces of horned beetle larvae (O. Rhinoceros) towards soil and plants in obtaining exact dose to the growth of Arabica coffee seedling (Coffea Arabica L.). This research  has been conducted in Experimental Station of Agriculture Faculty of Riau University, Campus Bina Widya km 12,5 Simpang Baru Village, Tampan Sub District, Pekanbaru City. This study was conducted from March to July 2017. This study was conducted using a Complete Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment was the feces of horned beetles larvae which consists of six dose levels, such as: K0 : 0 g each plant, K1: 25 g each plant, K2: 50 g each plant, K3: 75 g each plant, K4: 100 g each plant, K5: 125 g each plant. Each treatment was repeated three times to make 18 experimental units. Data obtained from the observations were analyzed using variance analysis (Anova). Diversity results are followed by Duncan multiple range test at 5% level. Observed parameter were seedling height, the increase of stem diameter, the increase of leafs number, leafs area, roots volume, shoot root ratio and seedling dry weight. The results show that feces of horned beetles larvae application can increase the chemical properties of the soil such as N-total, P-total, K-total, C-organic, pH and decrease C/N ratio on subsoil Inceptisol. The application of this fertilizer increases the number of leafs, stem diameter, roots volume, seedling height, leafs area,  and dry weight. Applying 100 g feces of horned beetles larvae have shown good growth for vegetative growth of Arabica coffee seedling on subsoil Inceptisol. Keywords: Arabica coffee seedling, feces of horned beetles larvae, subsoil              Inceptisol

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of interval of coconut water and the dose of Nitrogen fertilizer on the growth of rubber eye stool grafting seeds and get the best treatment on the growth of rubber eye stool rubber seeds. This research was conducted in experimental garden of Agricultural Faculty of Universitas Riau, Tampan, Pekanbaru in June 2016 until August 2016. The experiment was conducted experimentally by using Factorial Random Design (RAL) consisting of 2 factors, the first factor consisted of 2 interval levels (cc / L) ie 3 days and 6 days and second factor: Nitrogen fertilizer with 4 dosage (g / plant) ie 3 g / plant, 6 g / plant, 9 g /. The data obtained were analyzed using Duncan's multiple-range test at 5% level. Interval of young coconut water and dose of urea fertilizer give significant effect to shoot diameter, shoot length, leaf number and leaf rubber seed stum, but not significant effect on shoot growth time. Provision of young coconut water at intervals of 3 days and dose of urea 9 g / plant fertilizer, can produce bud diameter, leaf number and leaf area.Keywords: Coconut Water Interval, Urea Fertilizer, Growth and Development of rubber seedlings.

Abstract

The Forest Reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio has various types of forest fruit plants that can be consumed, both the visitors and the community around the forest. The existence of forest fruits trees in the Forest Reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio has not been identified with certainty. This study aims to determine the number and distribution patterns of the fruit-producing trees in Panoghan zone and Sialang Layang zone of the Forest Reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio. This research was conducted by using the method of track/transect with a width of 20 meters and a length of 500 meters. The transect position in the field was determined by using Purposive Sampling technique. Based on observations from eight transects, 19 species of fruit-producing trees with the number of individuals 147 fruitproducing trees were found, which each transect has different individual number. Distribution patterns of the fruit-producing trees in the Forest Reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio were clumped with the value of Morisita Index in Panoghan zone is 1.35 and in the Sialang Layang zone is 1.13. Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out the characteristics of the society of the utilization yard in  Maharatu Village, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City (2) to find out the pattern of the yard Maharatu Village, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted in Maharatu Village, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City, from November 2017 to August 2018 using snowball sampling. The number of samples in this study amounted to 20 people, where all samples used the yard. Data analysis used in this study is descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate: (1) the yard is a plot of soil where there is a place to live and can be planted with useful plants (2) The pattern of yard use of respondents in Maharatu Village is that the whole uses a horizontal pattern (100%) and there were no respondents in Maharatu Village who used the verticulture pattern, the respondents planted the plants directly on the ground / pots in the yard.Keywords: yard, Society, yard pattern.

Abstract

The research aimed to examine the interaction of fertilizer and NPK organotriba in peat on the growth and yield of sweet corn as well as getting the best dose. Research has been carried out in the garden Experiment Riau University Faculty of Agriculture of the month of February until May 2016. This study used a randomized block design in the form of factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is fertilizer organotriba consists of 5 levels without organotriba, 2,5 ton/ha, 5 ton/ha, 7,5 ton/ha and 10 ton/ha. The second factor is a 16:16:16 NPK fertilizer which consists of three levels without NPK, 150 kg/ha and 300 kg/ha, two factors combined to obtain 15 combined treatment and the respective foreign re-treatment at 3 times, in order to obtain 45 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 32 plants, six plants sampled. Data were analyzed statistically and continued using DNMRT at 5% parameters measured were the rate of plant growth, leaf area, the ratio of editorial roots, dry weight of plant, time appear male flowers and time appear female flowers, harvesting, production per plot, heavy with the husk, weight without husk, diameter and length of the cob plant sweet corn, data results showed that administration of organotriba dose of 10 ton/ha and NPK fertilizer dose of 300 kg/ha produce weight of 10,7 ton/ha higher than that of the untreated is 2,05 ton /ha  Keywords: sweet corn, Peatland, Fertilizers Organotriba

Abstract

This research was conducted to get the best rate and the best quality in the manufacture of a cookies, cempedak seed flour andwheat flour. This study was conducted experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and four replications thus obtained twenty experimental units. The treatment in this study was CT0 = cempedak seed flour : wheat flour = 90:10,CT1 = cempedak seed flour : wheat flour = 80:15, CT2 = cempedak seed flour : wheat flour = 80:20, CT3 =cempedak seed flour : wheat flour = 75:15 and CT4= cempedak seed flour : wheat flour = 70:30.Chemical analysis undertaken is the moisture content, ash content, fat content and protein content.Data were Analyzed statistically using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).If F count is greater than or equal to F table, then do a further test with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at5% level.Based on the chemical analysis cookiesCT1 best treatment is treatment with water content of 4.39%, ash content 1.31%, fat content 10,97% and protein content 10.12% that has met the cookiesquality standard (SNI 01-2973-1992). Keyword:cookies, cempedak seed flour, wheat flour
