Abstract

The purpose of this study aims to analyze the rate growth and competitiveness of each province in Indonesia by economic sectors especially in Riau. The methods of analysis used in this study is Shift Share. The results showed that the West Sulawesi has a slow growth rate in agriculture, livestock, forestry and fisheries but is able competitive well, while the sector of electricity, gas and water supply has a rapid growth rate and afford competitive properly. Gorontalo has a slow growth rate but is able competitive well in the mining and quarrying sectors. West Papua growth rate is slow but capable of competitive well in the manufacturing sector, while the services sector has a rapid growth rate and afford competitive properly. Papua has a rapid growth rate and is able competitive well in the building sector and the financial sector, leasing and business services. Southeast Sulawesi has a rapid growth rate and is able competitive well in the trade, hotels and restaurants. DKI Jakarta has a rapid growth rate and is able competitive well in the transport and communications sector. The economic sectors that have rapid growth rate and have high competitiveness in Riau are: the building sector; trading, hotel and restaurant sector; transportation and communication; financial, rental and service company; and services sector. The slow-growing economic sectors and unable to competitive well are: agriculture, livestock, forestry and fishery, and also mining and quarrying.Keywords : Economic Growth, Competitiveness, Shift Share

Abstract

Website is media to meet the information needs for palm subjects. Sawit Pedia Website development based on research purpose that analyze characteristics of users, analyze level of user satisfaction and analyze level of expectations and performance attributes of website. Sampling method using a convenience sampling through online questionnaires Google Forms. Amount of samples is set to 150 people. Characteristics users of Sawit Pedia Website, male 60%, age between 18-28 years old 86%, unmarried 87%, high school graduate/equal 73%, student profession 71%, no income 62%, looking for information motive 69%, internet experience more than 5 years 81%, self-taught learning internet 59%, smartphone uses 49%, internet access at home 55%, internet consumption over 25 hours a week 29% and non-agricultural background 77%. Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) showed 74.055% are satisfied. Importance Peformance Analysis showed no attribute in Quadrant I. Quadrant II there are twelve attributes that the accuracy of information, ease understanding of information, information actuality, information credibility, ease of use website, search facility, comments column, homepage, header, menubar, banner and widget post recently that must be maintained performance. Quadrant III there are two attributes that intentions and persuasion indicate website does not provide interest content for users. Quadrant IV there are five attributes speed of access, social media, template, calendar widgets and flag counter widget indicates users are not expecting these attributes although high performance and should be eliminated. Abstract

Marketing is a social and managerial process where somebody groups obtain whatthey need and try through the creation, exchange to meet the needs, desires anddemands of a person or group. One mainstay of agricultural commodities are corn,because corn is a staple food in Indonesia, which has a fairly important position after rice. The research objective was to determine marketing functions performedby marketing institutions sweet corn in the village of Ridan Permai. The researchmethod used is survey method with a sample study of 25 people sweet cornfarmer, 2 collectors and 9 retailers. Marketing functions carried out by the farmers include the functions of buying, selling, transporting, storage, financing,underwriting risk and market information functions. Retailers perform the function of purchases, sales, transportation, storage, finance, underwriting risk and marketinformation functions. Farmers and traders do not carry out functions and Grading Standards for sweet corn is sold in the market tend not to have a clear standardization and grading, this is because there is no competent body to standardize or grading of the sweet corn sold. Standardization and grading functions usually only applies when the product is sweet corn for sale at a supermarket or mall.Keywords: Marketing Functions, Channel, Margins

Abstract

Sweet corn widely used because it contains nutrients and high sugar content reralif. To produce high-yielding sweet corn and good quality, should consider the availability of nutrients in the soil. One effort to do that is by giving organic and inorganic fertilizers. One that includes organic fertilizer is chicken manure. While that includes inorganic fertilizer NPK compound fertilizer. The study aims to determine the effect of the combination of chicken manure with NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn and get treatment chicken manure and NPK fertilizer that gives the best effect. This research was conducted at the experimental station of Agriculture Faculty University of Riau. This study is an experiment using a randomized block design RAK consists of 6 treatments and repeated 4 times . The treatment is a combination of chicken manure with NPK fertilizer which consist of: P1 = 10 tonnes/ha of chicken manure to                    100 kg/ha of NPK , P2 = 20 tonnes/ha of chicken manure to 200 kg/ha of NPK, P3 = 10 tonnes /ha of chicken manure to 300 kg/ha NPK , P4 = 20 tonnes/ha of chicken manure to 200 kg/ha of NPK, P5 = 10 tonnes/ha of chicken manure to 300 kg/ha of NPK, P6 = 20 tonnes/ha of chicken manure to 300 kg / ha of NPK. Based on the results of this study concluded that giving treatment chicken manure 10-20 tonnes/ha and NPK fertilizer 100-200 kg/ha gives the best results on the growth and yield of sweet corn . Keywords: Sweet Corn, Chicken Manure Fertilizer NPK

Abstract

Oryctes rhinoceros L. grubs is one of the important pest on palm oil. Alternative to control this pest can be use local entomopathogen fungi such as Cordyceps sp. has opportunity as a biological control agent. The experiment was conducted in Plant Pests Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from Agustus until September 2015. The objective study was to find the better doses of local entomopathogen Cordyceps sp. The treatment tested were doses of local entomopathogen Cordyceps sp. 0 g/cm3, 15 g/cm3, 20 g/cm3, 25 g/cm3 and 30 g/cm3. The experiment used completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The result showed that local entomopathogen Cordyceps sp. to control O.rhinoceros L. grubs can cause 87.50% total mortality in dose 25 g/cm3.   Keywords: Local entomopathogen Cordyceps sp., biological control, Oryctes rhinoceros L.

Abstract

Sweet corn (Zea mays L. var Saccarata Sturt) is one type of plant that those fresh harvested and cultivated in the tropics. In the cultivation of sweet corn there are many things those need to be addressed such as soil fertility. Attempts to improve soil fertility can be done by providing organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer. One good organic fertilizer was chicken manure. While inorganic fertilizers needed include nitrogen (N). This study aimed to determine the effect of chicken manure and fertilizer N on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays L. Var Saccarata Sturt) and to get the best treatments. This research was conducted at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru and held for 3 months ie in January to March 2016. The study was conducted experimentally using a randomized block design (RCBD) factorial and three replications. Factor 1: Provision of chicken manure: A1 = 10 tonnes/ha, A2 = 20 tonnes/ha and A3 = 30 tonnes/ha. Factor 2: Fertilizer Urea: W1 = 100 kg/ha, W2 = 200 kg/ha, W3 = 300 kg/ha and W4 = 400 kg/ha. Combination of Urea 400 kg/ha with chicken manure 20 ton/ha gave the highestyield in sweet corn with the the results of 9,153 kg/4,5m2 or equal to 20,340 tonnes/ha compared with a combination of urea 100 kg/ha with manure chicken 10 tons/ha is 7,321 kg/4,5m2, equivalent to 16,269 tonnes/ha, meaning that the difference has a                    4,071 ton/ha (20,01%).   Keywords: Sweet Corn, Urea Fertilizer and Manure Chicken

Abstract

The research aims to determine the mycorrhizal biological fertilizer dose that is effective in the absorption of P for growth and production of sweet corn on peatlands. Research has been conducted in Rimbo Panjang Village, Kampar District, Riau Province. The research lasted for four months starting in December 2015 to March 2016. The research was conducted experiments using a randomized block design (RBD) non factorial, which consists of 6 treatments and 4 replications. The observations were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance followed by Duncan's multiple range test at 5% level. Based on the survey results revealed that administration of a biological fertilizer mycorrhiza real impact on P uptake of plants, root volume, dry weight of plants, production per plot, cob diameter and number of lines of grains per ear, but the effect was not significant on plant height, ratio canopy roots, time appears male flowers, female flowers appear time, harvesting, heavy cob with husk, heavy cob without husk and cob length. Provision of biological fertilizer mycorrhizal 6 g/plant an effective dose to support the growth and the production of sweet corn on peatlands. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the effect of bioslurry fertilizer get the best on growth and production of mustard plant. This research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru from January 2016 to February 2016. This research arranged experimentally using Completely Randomized Design (CRD),of 5 treatments with 4 replications then obtained 20 experimental units, the experimental units consisted of 25 plants. The treatments  is the bioslurry fertilizer ( B): B0 = 0 bioslurry, B1= 9 ml bioslurry/plants, B2 = 19 ml bioslurry/plants, B3 = 29 ml bioslurry/plants, B4= 39 ml bioslurry/plants. Parameters measured were plant height (cm), number of leaves (pieces), leaves widht(cm2), plant fresh weight (g), plant weight unfit for consumption (g). Provision of bioslurry significant effect on and bioslurry 29 ml give the best results in parameter that is 18.45 cm plant height, number of leaves 14.62 pieces, leaves widht 165.62 cm2, 82.33 g of plant fresh weight, plant weight 35.03 g unfit for consumption.   Keywords: Bioslurry, Mustard Plants.

Abstract

This research aims for knowing the influence a giving of oil palm seeds in the results of giving sago waste compost in main nursery. The researched was carried out at Faculty of Agricultural experiment station, UR in October 2015 – January 2016 using a randomized etely design which consist of six treatments and four replications that is 0 g/plant; 50 g/plant; 100g/plant; 150g/plant; 200 g/plant; 250 g/plant. The results of research shows that the application of sago waste compost significant effect on all parameters of observation. As for the plant height, number of leaves, diameter hump and dry weight has best value in treatment 200 g/plant. While for the root volume parameter has best value in treatment 250 g/plant. Abstract

This research aim to knows the effect of interaction of biofungicide active ingredient Trichoderma sp. with cow manure and best doses of biofungicide and best doses of cow manure on cocoa seedings growth (Theobroma cacao L.). This Research was conducted in Plant Laboratory, Disease Laboratory and experimental field faculty of agriculture, Riau University on Bina Widya Campus Km 12,5 sub-district of Simpang Baru, district of Tampan, Pekanbaru. This research was conducted from August to November 2015. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial that consisting of two factors. The first factor is the Trichoderma Biofungisida (B) consists of two levels            (0 and 25) g/polybag and second factor is the cow manure (P) consists of five levels (30%, 40%, 50%, 60% and 70%) /polybag. Both these factors resulted in 10 treatsment combinations, each combination made three replications, so that there are 30 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of two plants, so the total crop was 60 plants. Parameters measured were seedling height, number of leaves, stem convolution, ratio of crown roots  and dry weight. Data obtained from the research results were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance followed by a further test of Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. Based on the research the result showed that the treatment Trichoderma biofungisida and cow manure significant on seedling height, number of leaves, stem convolution, dry weight and had no  significant on ratio of crown roots. Treatment of Trichoderma biofungisida burnt 25 g/polybag and cow manure 50% – 60%  /polybag can be recommended to get the growth of cocoa’s seedling.
