Abstract

Mangrove forest in the Teluk Buo Village has been degraded due to anthropogenic activities. To understand the mangrove community structure in that area, a research was carried out in February-Juny 2017. A purposive sampling method was applied and there were 3 stations with 3 transec lines in each station. Along the line, 3 quadrans (10 x 10 m) were used for tree sampling; 3 quadrans (5 x 5 m) for sapling sampling and 3 quadrans (2 x 2 m) for seedling sampling. Mangroves were then identified. Relative density and diversity index of the mangrove were calculated. Results shown that there were 7 mangrove species, namely Rhizopora apiculata, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Ceriops tagal, Sonneratia ovata, Scyphiphora hydrophyllacea, Aegiceras corniculatum, and Lumnitzera littorea. The most common species was R.apiculata. The value of relative density of the mangrove was 333-944 p/ha (scarce and damage), and that of the diversity index is medium (1.10-1.55).Keywords: Mangrove, Rhizopora apiculata, Diversity

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted on April 5, 2017 until April 10, 2017 at PT Thoyyibatul Rizki Koto Panjang Hydroelectric Reservoir Kabupaten Kampar Riau Province. The purpose of this research are: to know the analysis of net cage net cultivation of fish and fish tilapia in PT Thoyyibatul Rizki PLTA Waduk Koto Panjang, To know the total cost of business production keramba net floating fish cultivation Mas and fish Nila PT Thoyyibatul Rizky Reservoir hydropower Koto long , To know the income and the acceptance of the cultivation of floating net cages PT Thoyyibatul Rizky Koto Panjang Hydroelectric Reservoir. The method used in this study is a case study with the purpose according to Nazir (2013), case study is research on the status of research subjects related to a specific phase or typical of the overall personality, the subject of research can be individuals, groups, institutions .             Cultivators obtain Nila and Mas Fish Seed from PT. Popan Solok, feed obtained from PT. Popan, according to the cultivators so far the availability of feed is always fulfilled. For the labor of the cultivators employs 4 people that is from the side of the family and from outsiders, where the ability of this workforce obtained from the direction of the owner of the cultivation and also experience during their cultivation activities. For the access itself is very smooth and there are no obstacles, because the location of the cultivation is very strategic that is close to the highway. Based on the results of research efforts undertaken have been done calculate the value of BCR and FRR So it can be concluded that financially the business of fish cultivation Mas and Nila fish in keramba floating net Koto Panjang hydroelectric dam conducted by fish farmer PT Thoyyibatul Rizky profitable and feasible to be developed again and continued. Net income is the result of a reduction of income with total costs incurred so as to derive income production of goldfish and tilapia. Keywords:Business Analysis,Production,Labor, Operational Cost and Working Capital

Abstract

This tudy was conducted on March to April 2016 at Limbungan village Rumbai Pesisir sub district Pekanbaru city Riau province. The method use is survey methodBased on the research that has been done toward the alternative business, of fishermen is farming, worker, commerce, strore service, ponsel service, and cleanning service. The Mean of income that accepted from fishing effort is IDR. 524.91-per month while the average mean that accepted from alternative affort is IDR. 1.126.666 –per month. Analysis result (R2) is 0,174 meaning factors income of work time (X1), amount of burden work (X2), age (X3), and educate (X4) have influence 17 % and show independent variabel can give influence 17 % while the average residue 83 % influence the another factor.Key words : factors income, fishing effort, alternative businesses.

Abstract

The research was conducted in April 2017. The purpose was to analyze the oil content, to determined type and abundance of diatoms, and to determine the correlation between oil content and abundance of diatoms in the waters of Tanjung Balai Karimun, Riau Islands Province. Survey method used consisted of four stations with three replications. The results, the average value of oil content ranged between 0.1820-0.5413 ppm, and the abundance of diatoms were between 54-132 ind/l. The ditoms which composed of 12 species namely Bacillaria sp., Coscinodiscus sp., Fragilaria sp., Isthemia sp., Guinardia sp., Lyngbya sp., Leptocylindrus sp., Nitzschia sp., Pleurosigma sp., Rhabdonema sp., Rhizosolenia sp., and Streptotheca sp. The correlation between oil content and the abundance of diatoms was negatively strong which meant the higher the oil content the decreased the abundance of diatoms in Tanjung Balai Karimun waters. The equation regretion was y = 135.0-149.7x, and the determination coefficients (R2) = 0.561 and the coefficient correlation (r) = 0.749.Keywords: Correlation, abundance, diatoms, oil content, Tanjung Balai Karimun.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study was conducted on July 2017 in Tanjung Mutiara sub-district, Agam regency, West Sumatera Province. This study aims to analyze the composition of catches, determine the type and number of catches during  afternoon and night on fishing equipment hand line. The method used in this study is a participative and research conducted during 20 days of arrest. The catch during the study was 3690.42 kg (15454 fishes). The results of the research composition of hand line shot during afternoon is 825.17 kg (3624 fishes), while at night 2865,25 kg (11830 fishes). The catch consists of eleven species. Abstract

The research about the business analysis of catfish (Clarias sp) enlargement on fish pond was conducted on January, 2016 in Sub-District of Minas, District of Siak, Riau Province. This study aims to (1) analyzed the business enlargement of fish pond of catfish and (2) the feasibility business of enlargement of fish pond of catfish. The method used is a survey method that includes observation, interviews and documentation.Based on the results of research (1) the average production costs incurred in enlargement business of catfish with an area of 72-220 m2 of Rp 5.687.750, - / harvest up to Rp 16.788.250, - / harvest with total receipts received by Rp 15.912 million, - / harvest up to Rp 36.21 million, - / harvest and great benefits received Rp 8.7 million,-/ harvest up to Rp 21 million, - / harvest and (2) enlargement business of fish pond of catfish in Minas feasible with RCR value> 1, the FRR values> 6.02% and the value of PPC is between 1,94 to 4,67 per period or ± 6 to 14 month. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of various types of packaging materials on the quality of catfish meatballs those various color during storage at room temperature. The research method used was experimental method that was processing the various colors of catfish meatballs and then packing them by using different types of packaging materials during storage at room temperature for 0 day, 15 days and 30 days. Types of packaging materials used were HDPE and Aluminum foil with HDPE lining. The parameter measured were the value of the organoleptic appearance, aroma, texture and flavor, the proximate water content, fat content, the value of TBA, and total bacterial colonies. The results showed that the best packaging material used was HDPE plastic to protect the product during storage for 30 days. The product was showing the value of consistence 7.46, odor 7.34, texture 7.20, and flavor 7.53. Whilst the moisture content was 4.52%. The value fatty acid content 7,10 with using HDPE with aluminum (K0) packaging and the value TBA 0,68 with using HDPE (H0) packaging. Keywords: Aluminium foil, catfish, HDPE and meatball

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Oktober sampai November tahun 2017 yang berlokasi di perairan pantai Dumai Provinsi Riau. Pengolahan model dilakukan di Laboratorium Oseanografi Fisika Jurusan Ilmu Kelautan Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola arus pasang surut kondisi surut perbani di Selat Rupat. Analisis simulasi arus menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan arus pada kondisi surut perbani berkisar 0,11-1,22 m/s. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada saat surut perbani, arus Selat Rupat bergerak menuju Selat Malaka melalui bagian barat dan timur Selat Rupat. Kondisi ini mempengaruhi distribusi sedimen di Selat Rupat. Kata kunci : Arus, Surut perbani, Selat Rupat

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the effect of cookies quality which fortified Chlorella sp. flour and snakehead fish (Channa striata) protein concentrate. The methode used in this research was experimental methode with treatment C0K0 (Control), C0K2 (0% Chlorella sp. and 10% snakehead fish protein concenterate, C2K0 (2% Chlorella sp. and 0% snakehead fish protein concenterate), and C2K2 (2% Chlorella sp. and 10% snakehead fish protein concenterate). Parameters tested were organoleptic and chemical analysis. The results showed that cookies with addition 2% of Chlorella sp. flour and 10 % of snakehead fish protein concentrate (C2K2) was the best treatment with criteria: attractive colors 8.12%, distinctive aroma of Chlorella sp. and fish protein concentrate 7.88%, the texture was slightly crunchy 7,24% and good taste 6,18%; protein content 15.57%, moisture content 1.89% and ash content 0,24%.Keywords : Cookies, Chlorella sp., Channa striata, Fish Protein Concentrate

Abstract

This research was conducted from October to December 2016 in the Kualu Nenas village Tambang Distric Kampar Regency and in Environmental Quality Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. The objective of this research is to know the effect of biofertilizer type on change of soil physics properties and peat pond water such as the soil color, crude soil fiber, bulk density, soil porosity, temperature, turbidity and total suspended solid. The experimental design used a complete randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. The treatments applied were without biofertilizer (P0), biofertilizer from chicken manure (P1), biofertilizer from cow dung (P2), biofertilizer from human fecal (P3). The result of this study showed that P3 (biofertilizer from human fecal) was the best treatment for (crude soil fiber 47,1%; BD 0,45 g/cm3; and porosity 68%). For the turbidity and TSS, the best result in P0 (control). For the soil color of biofertilizer is no effected. The temperature of water that range from 26-300C. The range temperature is still quite good for aquatic organisms.Key words: Biofertilizer, Physical Parameter, Peat Land
