Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the description/profile of the physical fitness level of students in the culinary department and the hospitality department at Tigama SMK Pekanbaru. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative research, the research will be conducted with a population of 36 students and based on the existing population using the Proportional Stratified random sampling technique, with this each population will be used as a sample of only 20 people. Based on the results of the research and discussion that the author has described, then for the "Medium" category with an average consideration of 16.5. In detail as many as 0 students (0%) have a physical fitness level that is very low, 2 students (10%) have a physical fitness level that is less, 11 students (55%) have a moderate physical fitness level, 7 students (35%) have a physical fitness level good, and 0 male athletes (0%) have a very good Physical Fitness Level. Most of the Physical Fitness Levels owned by the Catering and Hospitality Students of SMK Tigama Pekanbaru are in the "Medium" category, amounting to 55%. Based on the results of the research, it shows that the students of catering and hospitality at SMK Tigama Pekanbaru have a moderate level of physical fitness. Because there are no students who have a very good level of physical fitness and neither students have a level of fitness that is not good. Abstract

Abstract: The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires quality human resources with 21st century skills that must be possessed such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. The purpose of this research was to get an idea of the extent to which the initial conditions before and after learning regarding the level of creative thinking skills in the aspect of flexibility. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design. The population of this research were students of class VIII SMPN 21 Pekanbaru as many as 120 students who were distributed in three classes. The samples of this research were students of class VIII 8 as the control class with a total of 28 students and class VIII 9 students as the experimental class with a total of 32 students. The sample was determined based on the results of the normality test and homogeneity test. The data collection instrument was a test of creative thinking skills on the flexibility aspect of class VIII junior high school students for the context of simple airplane material. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive analysis assisted by the SPSS version 20 application. The results showed that there were differences in the level of creative thinking skills in the flexibility aspect between the control group and the experimental group and the application of the learning model using the STEM project approach was effectively used to improve the creative thinking skills of junior high school students in aspects of flexibility in learning Natural Sciences Physics online.Keywords: STEM Project Science Learning, Creative Thinking Skills, Flexibility Aspect, Simple Plane

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the pattern of coaching for the Riau Province Fencing Athletes in the Participation of XX PON. This study is a quantitative descriptive study with a population of 15 athletes in PON XX. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling. Data was collected using observation, questionnaires and documentation. Test the validity of the instrument using the product moment with a significant level of 5% and the reliability test of the instrument using the alpha cronbach through the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 .Value Cronbach's Alpha 0.976. The results showed that the percentage of recruitment system factors was 17.70%, the percentage of training program factors was 21.81%, the percentage of trainers was 5.25%, the percentage of motivational factors was 12.89%, the percentage of confidence factors was 15.78%, and the percentage of facilities and infrastructure factors was 15.88%. Thus the pattern of coaching for the Riau Province's Fencing Athletes in the Participation of PON XX is 89.31% with a very good score interpretation.Key Words: Construction Patterns,Athletes, Riau Fencing, PON XX

Abstract

Abstract: Bullying is a negative action which is conducted to other people either physically or verbally repeatedly and causes other people to feel disturbed, uncomfortable, even feel tortured. Bullying is caused by several trigger factors, such as: religion, physical condition, family, economy, and gender. Bullying that is carried out will create a discriminatory (disharmonious) environment so that the victim will feel pressured. Bullying behavior can affect the psychological condition of the victim so that the victim will experience depression, lack of self-confidence, social isolation and even thoughts of suicide. Bullying can happen anywhere, including in educational institutions. This study aims to determine the types of bullying behavior and psychological conditions in SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach to determine the types of bullying, the level of bullying behavior, and the psychological condition of victims of bullying at SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. Subjects in this study amounted to 30 people who analyzed the level of bullying behavior received and its psychological condition. The data collection technique used is purposive sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire instrument for victims of bullying as many as 28 items and the psychological condition of victims of bullying as many as 21 items. Based on the result gained from this study, it was found that not many respondents were victims of bullying at the school. However, there are still some bullying behaviors that occur both physically and verbally. The form of physical bullying such as, hitting, forcing, disturbing, and damaging things. While the forms of verbal bullying experienced by students in the form of being yelled at, insulted and given nicknames such as "birong" (black), "kido" (kiki dower), "debi" (deri animals), and so on.Key Words: Analysis, Types of Bullying, Psychological Condition

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study was to develop learning materials for cooperative learning models of auditory intellectually repetition (AIR) learning model on work and energy for class X high school students. Device development was carried out as a solution to improve conceptual mastery in physics learning. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) using a 4D model, namely define, design, development, and disseminate. The data collection instrument was in the form of a validation sheet given to three validators. The data analysis technique was obtained by using a validation assessment score to determine the feasibility of the learning device. The results showed that the learning device of cooperative learning learning model type auditory intellectually repetition (AIR) on the work and energy for class X high school students that was developed met the valid criteria from the aspects that were validated including aspects of RPP feasibility, LKPD feasibility aspects and feasibility aspects of Concept Mastery Instruments.Key Word : learning devices, cooperative learning learning model type auditory intellectually repetition (AIR), Work and Energy

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research was the phenomenon that emerged in a pre-survey that was previously conducted in March 2021 on students of SMPN 1 Kampar Utara. The formulation of the problem is the role of parents in guiding children in face-to-face learning during the new normal for students of SMPN 1 Kampar Utara. The purpose of this study was to find out the role of parents in guiding children in face-to-face learning during the new normal for students of SMPN 1 Kampar Utara. The method of this research was descriptive quantitative research. The instrument of data collection in this research was a questionnaire that consisted of 25 statements and interviews. The population of this research consisted of 66 respondents from 66 samples. It was determined by using a saturated sampling technique (census sampling). Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the data of the role of parents in guiding children in face-to-face learning during the new normal period at SMPN 1 Kampar Utara was categorized in the "Good" category. It can be seen from the statistics obtained from questionnaires given. Statistics show that 31% of the students strongly agreed, and 36% agreed. with the total result of 67%, with a range of 50.01% - 75%. Thus, the role of parents in guiding children in face-to-face learning during the New Normal period at SMPN 1 Kampar Utara students was categorized in "Good" category.Key Words: the role of parents, tutoring, new normal learning, students

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to identify and describe the students’ perception on using Schoology application in learning English during pandemic Covid-19. The population of this research is the second year students of SMP Cendana Pekanbaru. The number of sample is 44 students selected by using cluster random sampling technique. Data of this research were collected through an online questionnaire using Google form and distributed via WhatsApp Group. The research analyzed by using SPSS Ver.23 and Microsoft Excel then explained descriptively. Based on the results of this research, the students’ perception levels in terms of Students’ Perception on Utilizing Schoology in Learning English during Pandemic Covid-19 (X1) was in very good category (82.8%), Students’ Perception about Benefits of Using Schoology in Learning English during Pandemic Covid-19 (X2) was in good category (76%), Students’ Perception about Challenges on Using Schoology in Learning English during Pandemic Covid-19 (X3) was in mediocre category (58.9%), and Students’ Perception of Satisfaction by Using Schoology in Learning English during Pandemic Covid-19 (X4) was in good category (67%). The results shows the average of all scores in general was in good category (71.18%). It means the students’ positively accepted Schoology as a good application a platform in learning English during pandemic Covid-19. Students’ Perception on Utilizing Schoology in Learning English during Pandemic Covid-19 (X1) has the highest percentage (82.8%) which means that students agree that Schoology is easy to use, Schoology has interesting features that support teaching and learning activities. This study implies that the second year students of SMP Cendana Pekanbaru have a good perception on using Schoology in learning English during pandemic Covid-19.Key Words: Perception, Schoology, Pandemic Covid-19.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the occurrence of cases of clan marriages of the Toba Batak tribe in Duri such as couples who marry in the same clan even though clan marriages are prohibited by custom, in this case the Toba Batak customs, customary provisions have been violated by the Toba Batak indigenous people themselves, Couples who are married in the same clan are no longer ashamed and are no longer awkward to show their existence. This clan marriage is prohibited, both by custom and by church, for example the HKBP and Catholic Churches. This clan marriage occurred not only in the Batak Toba Perantuan community but also in the place of origin of the Toba Batak tribe, namely in North Sumatra. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that led to marriage within the same clan in Duri, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. In this study, researchers used qualitative methods and data collection techniques that researchers did were observation, interviews, and documentation. This research carried out in Duri, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency, in this study researchers used interviews and observations as primary data and documentation as secondary data, data analysis used in this study were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The informants in this study were traditional leaders, church leaders, married couples and youths. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the factors that caused clan marriages in Duri could occur due to economic factors, religious/church factors, education factors, love factors, and overseas factors. Of the five factors, the love factor and the economic factor are the factors that have the most potential to cause family marriages for couples from Batak Toba in Duri, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency.Key Words: Factors, Causes, Marriage, The Same Clan

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to determine the effect of the family of expectations programs on increasing the learning motivation of SMPN students in Pangean district. The population in this study mere all junior high school in Pangean who received PKH, as foe the number of samples in this study as many as 84 students receiving PKH. The sampling technique as total sampling for students who received PKH assistance so that the sample obtained was 84 students from 69 family cards. Data analysis technique used by author in quantitative analysis and product moment correlation. The results of the study showed that there was a significant and positive effect between the family hope program assistance on the learning motivation of SMP N students in Pangean district ad evidenced by the probability value <0,05(0,000<0,05) then Ha was accecpted. The results of the study show that the family hope program assistance contributes 27,8% to learning motivation.Keywords: The Influence of The Hope Family Program Assistance (PKH), Students’ Learning Motivation.

Abstract

Abstract: Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by a type of corona virus that was newly discovered in the city of Wuhan, China (WHO, 2020). As a result, all activities can only be carried out on a limited basis, and places that cause crowds are closed, including schools. So that learning and teaching activities are carried out online or in other words learning from home. The purpose of this research were to find out what challenges faced by teachers and students when learning takes place online, as well as to identify or find out the efforts made by teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Barumun to overcome these challenges. The research method used in this research was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data display, and withdrawal and conclusion verification. Based on this research, the results obtained are the challenges faced by English teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Barumun during online teaching are difficulties in increasing students’ motivation in learning English, teachers have challenges in choosing appropriate learning strategies, and lack of technology mastery skills. While the challenges faced by students are related to the instability of the internet network in the area they live, limited quotas, and limitations of android as the main online learning facility due to the family’s economic instability. Based on these challenges, teachers and school implemented several efforts to overcome these challenges with the aim that learning and teaching activities continue to run smoothly and effectively.Key Words: Covid-19 Pandemic, Online Teaching, Online Learning, English Online, andChallenges.
