Abstract

Abstrck: This research aims to determine the increasing and differenes in scientific attitude students by applying the guided discovery learning model and conventional in learning physics class XI SMA N 9 pekanbaru. The population of this research is class XI consisting of 4 classes. Samples taken are 2 classes, determination technique experimental class and control class are by simple random sampling. This research was conducted in SMA N 9 Pekanbaru from September to November 2015. This research is Quasi Experimental Design forms Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Instrument of collecting data in this research is a questionnaire scientific attitude students is given before and after learning. The indicators contained in the questionnaire that is honesty, coriosity, logical thinking, and accuracy. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential. Descriptive analysis of scientific attitude students to apply the guided discovery learning model has incrased, the values before learning is 3.89, after learning is 4.42, so the guided discovery learning model effectively applied to improve the scientific attitude students. The results of inferential analysis obtained by value thitung > ttabel ( 2,930 > 2,002 ) , then H0 is rejected so we can conclude there is a significant difference to the scientific attitude students in learning physics in class XI SMA N 9 Pekanbaru applying learning models guided discovery with a class that implements conventional teaching with a 95% confidence level .Key Words: Scientific Attitude, Guided Discovery, spring fore

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the technical feasibility level assessments byteachers in implementing the evaluation of learning biology in the implementation ofthe curriculum in 2013, and to analyze the quality of items replay end of the semesterthe class X SMA Indragiri Hulu artificial 2014/2015 school year teachers based ondifficulty level , distinguishing features and grains detractors. The research sample foranalysis of the implementation of the assessment is taken as many as 10 schools thathave implemented the curriculum in 2013 and incorporated in the MGMP. The researchsample for analysis item which is about the end of the semester artificial replications 3different groups of MGMPs biology. Data collected the primary data in the form ofinterview guidelines and documentation as well as secondary data in the form ofquestions and answer sheets replicates end of the semester. The data analysis techniqueused is descriptive analysis with percentages. Based on the results obtained penelititanthat the level of feasibility assessment by subject teachers SMAN biology class X inIndragiri Hulu has not yet reached the National Education Standards. Assessment doneby teachers is a written assessment by the average percentage of 100% with a very goodcategory. Test questions difficulty level items Biology class X semester first semesterSMAN in Indragiri Hulu TP 2014/2015 obtained an average 27.5% a matter of simplecategories: average 47.5%: difficult 25%. For distinguishing items replay semesteraverage gained about the ugly category of 29.2%: just 30%: 20% Good: excellent8.3%: 12.5% negative. Item humbug (distractors) which serves good (D≥5%) gained anaverage of 13.3% while distractors were not functioning properly (D <5%) 86.7%.Key Words: Analysis Assessment , Lessons Biology , National Education Standards

Abstract

Abstract: The research was classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and mathematics learning outcomes with applied the cooperative learning type of think pair square (TPS). The subject of the research is students of class VIII5 SMP Negeri 11 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2014/2015. There are 38 students in the class, consist of 17 boys and 21 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. The research are two cycles, each a cycle has four stages, that are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each end of the cycle of daily tests carried out. Data collected through observation and tests in the form of daily tests. Data analysis was performed with narrative descriptive analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. Results of this research showed that the teacher’s activities and students have done well after doing the action. Most of students were excited and active in learning process. Such as while they were doing the steps of learning, presenting students’ worksheet or questions, responding the friend’s presentation and giving the conclusion of learning. The action is successful if the number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria increase in daily tests I and II. The number of students who achieve a score of minimum mastery criteria on basic, daily test I (first cycle) and daily test II (second cycle) are respectively 36.8%, 42.1%, and 71.05%. Results of this research indicates that the cooperative learning structural approach type of think pair square can improve learning process and students' mathematics learning outcomes math class VIII5 SMP Negeri 11 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2014/2015.Key words: Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Think Pair Square, Class action research

Abstract

Abstract :The purpose of this research is to improve the learning process and to improve mathematics achievement by applying problem based learning. The research is classroom action research that consist of two cycles and at the end of every cycle carried out mathematics achievement test . The subject of this research is students of class X MIA 7 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2014/2015, there are 28 students in the class, consist of 11 boys and 17 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. Data collecting through observation and written test. The observation was doing for the observation of learning activity of teacher and students, student attitude and student skill. While written test is to evaluate student’s knowledge. Based on the analysis of the activity of teacher and students, the application of the problem besed learning is getting better Based on the result of analysis, the amount of student that reaching minimum completeness criteria for cooperation attitude increase from 42,85% at early score to 67,85% at the first cycle and 96,42% at the second cycle. For discipline attitude increases from 57,14% at early scor to 71,42% at the first cycle and 100% at the second cycle. For honesty attitude increase from 53,37% at early score to 71,42% at the first cycle and 100% at the second cycle. For tolerance attitude increase from 46,42% at early score to 71,42% at the first cycle and 96,42% at the second cycle. The amount of student that reaching minimum completeness criteria for skill interest increase from 50% at early score to 92,84% at the first cycle and 100% at the second cycle. The amount of student that reaching minimum completeness criteria for knowledge interest increase from 7,14% at early score to 92,84% at the first cycle and 100% at the second cycle. The result of research conclude that problem based learning can improve the learning process and improve mathematics achievement of X MIA 7 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2014/2015.Keywords : Mathematics learning outcome, Problem Based Learning, Class action research.

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims by the students’math achievement at class VII.2 SMP Islam As-Shofa pekanbaru, there are 9 students’ achieving passing grade for attitude aspect and for aspects of knowledge and skills 7 students’ or 35% on the main discussion about lines and angels. So there are 11 students who don’t achieve passing grade for attitude aspect and 13 students for aspects of knowledge and skills, it means that there are some students who don’t achieve passing grade (KKM ) from school. This research is aims to increase learning process and students’ math achievement at class VII.2 SMP Islam As-Shofa pekanbaru in rectangular and triangle, through the implentation cooperative learning model of structural Think Pair Square. The subject are 20 students from class VII.2 SMP Islam As-Shofa pekanbaru consist of 12 male and 8 famale students with the heterogenous level. The collecting of the data instruments are observation and math achivement test. The research finding is that there is students’ achievement that can be seen from the percentage of students’ achive passing grade (KKM) for attitude aspect with average is about 55%. The percentage of the score increase about 70% at the first daily test and the percentage of the score also increase about 85% at the second daily test. for aspects of knowledge with average is about 35%. The percentage of the score increase about 45% at the first daily test and the percentage of the score also increase about 70% at the second daily test. And for skills aspects with average is about 35%. The percentage of the score increase about 55% at the first daily test and the percentage of the score also increase about 85% at the second daily test Based on the previous result at can be concluded that the implentation of cooperative learning model of structural approach Think Pair Square to improve students’ math achievement at class VII.2 SMP Islam As-Shofa pekanbaru of rectangular and triangle on main topic of second semester 2014/2015.Key Word : Students’ math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model Structural Approach of Think Pair Square, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes by applying learning cycle “6E”. The subjects of this research are the student of class XI Science I MAN 1 Pekanbaru at first semester of academic years 2015/2016, which amounts to 31 students consist of 13 male and 18 female students with the heterogenous level. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The data which collected were analyzed with descriptive analyzed statistically. The action is successful if the scores of teacher’s activities and student’s activities increase in every meeting, improve students’ math achievemsent. From analyzed of teacher and students activity in the learning process showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. The result of this research showed an increasing number of students’ math achievement from the basic score 29 % to 54,8 % on the first daily test and 64,5 % on the second daily test. Based on the result of this research can be concluded that the implentation learning cycle “6E” models can improve students’ math achievemsent at class XI Science I MAN 1 Pekanbaru at first semester of academic years 2015/2016.Key words: Students’ Math Achievement, Learning Cycle “6E”

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the influence of the implementation of problem solving strategy in mathematics learning to the mathematical problem solving ability of students. This study was conducted in SMP Negeri 26 Pekanbaru on odd semester academic year 2015/2016. This is a pre-experimental study which using the static-group comparison design. The population is all of students at grade IX in SMP Negeri 26 Pekanbaru and the number of sample in this study is 75 students. The sample was determined by using purposive sampling and random sampling tehnique, so that class IX.4 consisting of 36 students as control class and class IX.6 consisting 39 students as experimental class. The experimental class was implemented the problem solving strategy in mathematics learning, meanwhile the control class was implemented conventional learning. The data in this study consisted of qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data consisting of observation result, meanwhile the quantitative data consisting of posttest. The data was collected by using observation, test and documentation tehnique. The result showed that the problem solving strategy in mathematics learning influences the mathematical problem solving ability of students at class IX in SMP Negeri 26 Pekanbaru. The level of that influence is 43,06% on medium level.Key Words: Problem Solving Strategies, Mathematics Learning, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to improve mathematics achievement by applying think talk write strategy in the cooperative learning. The research is classroom action research. The subject of this research is students of class X.4 SMAN 7 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2014/2015, there are 32 students in the class, consist of 12 boys and 20 girls. This research is exercised in two cycles, and at the end of every cycle carried out mathematics achievement test. Data collecting through observation and written test. The observation was doing for the observation of learning activity of teacher and student. Base on the resultof analysis, the amount of students that reaching KKM interest improves from 40,6% at early score and become 50,0% at the first cycle and become 65,6% at the second cycle. The result of research conclude that applying think talk write strategy in the cooperative learning can improves mathematics achievement X.4 SMAN 7 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2014/2015.Key Word : Mathematics learning outcome, Think talk write strategy in the cooperative learning, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on problems of learning process in the class IXD SMP Negeri 10 Tapung which is teacher-centered, less students are given the opportunity to actively participate in building their own knowledge affecting low student’s mathematics achievement. From the test of results obtained in similarity and congruence main topic just 8 students (33,33%) who achieve minimum mastery criteria (KKM). This research is classroom action research that aimed of this to improve learning process and increase students’ math achievement at class, through the implementation of think talk write strategy in cooperative learning. The subject of this research are 24 people, there are 12 boys and 12 girls with the heterogenous level. The instruments of data collection were observation sheets and mathematics achivement tests. Teacher and student activity’s data were analyzed with qualitative descriptive and mathematical understanding ability data were analyzed with quantitative descriptive. Based on data’s analyz can be concluded that the implementation of think talk write strategy in cooperative learning can improve the learning process and increase students’ math achievement at class SMP Negeri 10 Tapung of first semester 2015/2016 of geometry with curved side on main topic.Key Word : Students’ math Achievement, Think Talk Write Strategy In Cooperative Learning, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase the student’s abilities in problem solving with apply Problem Based Learning (PBL). The subject of the research is students of class X MIPA2 SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2015/2016. There are 21 students in the class, consist of 7 boys and 14 girls. The research are two cycles, each a cycle has four stages, that are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each end of the cycle carried out tests of mathematical problem solving ability. Data collected through observation and tests of mathematical problem solving ability. Data analysis was performed with narrative descriptive analysis and descriptive statistical analysis. Results of this research showed that the teacher’s activities and students have are increasing at eah meeting. Most of students were excited and active in problem solving and find the concept independently. Student also have confident to express their opinion and doing presentation. The student’s abilities in problem solving was increas if the N-gain average of student’s abilities in problem solving at first cycle and second cycle more than zero. Based on the analysis of data student’s abilities in problem solving, obtained the N-gain average of student’s abilities in problem solving at first cycle is zero point fourty. It means the student’s abilities in problem solving was increasing with enough classification. At second cycle, the N-gain average of student’s abilities in problem solving is zero point fifty six. It means the student’s abilities in problem solving was increasing with enough classification. Results of this research shows that Problem Based Learning (PBL) can improve the learning process and increase the student’s abilities in problem solving.Keywords: Student’s abilities in problem solving, Problem Based Learning
