Abstract

Abstract: The main issue brought up in this research is that low achievement of student’s learning in school is caused by their lack of interest in reading textbooks along with their poor ability in analyze and solve the problems given in form of tests or questions which require them to think in highly level. This is a Classroom Measure Research which aims to improve science learning result of 7th grade students of Future Islamic Junior High School Pekanbaru by integrating science literacy and Higher Other Thinking Skill (HOTS) in learning science. This research was conducted from March to April 2018. A total of 23 students of 7th grade (15 boys and 8 girls) contributed as subject of this research. Data collecting using test method and non-test method. Research procedure has been done through two cycles started with plan, execution, action, observation phase and finished with final phase. Parameter in this research is student’s learning result. The result shows that psychomotor aspect was at 76,87 (C) for cycle I become 83,98 (C) on cycle II. Meanwhile, for affective aspect, the score changed from 2,74 (B-) on cycle I to 2,85 (B) on cycle II. cognitive score was changing as well from 75,21 (C) on cycle I to 77,39 (C) on cycle II. The percentage of student’s learning from 60.86% in the first cycle to 65.21% in cycle II. It can be concluded from the result that integrating science literacy and HOTS in learning science can improve the learning result of 7th grade students of Future Islamic Junior High School Pekanbaru.Keywords: Science Literacy, Higher Other Thinking Skill, Learning Result

Abstract

Abstract: Based on observations and discussions with counceling and guidence teachers in SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru encountered the phenomenon: playing online games performed by students both male and female students. Online gaming is found almost all over the android and smartphone students. The intensity of playing the students' online games is different. From a class that has androin found at least 1 to 2 students who are addicted to playing online games on their handphones. There is also a saying that playing online games is as fun as playing with peers. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the students addicted to online games and the problems experienced by students addicted to online games in SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the initial questionnaire was found that students who addicted to online games amounted to 33 students. Sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling technique that is sample with consideration. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that: Addiction of online game among SMA is known more than half is in the aspect of salience, euphoria, conflict, and tolerance, almost half of students are in withdrawal and relapse and reinstatement aspects. Nearly half of students have Advanced Social and Education Relationship problems and the future, over a quarter of students have problems with the physical and health aspects, leisure, and careers and jobs.Keywords: Online Game Addiction, Student Problems

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills in learning physics by applying SQ4R learning model. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru in January to May 2018. The population in this study is the students of class X IPA semester 2 of the year 2017/2018 which consists of 6 classes. The sample in this study were 2 randomly selected homogeneous classes, ie X IPA 1 as the experimental class and X IPA 3 as the control class. The design of this research is Quasi Experimental in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Instrument of data collection in this research is critical thinking ability test which consist of 12 items of multiple choice by using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using T test (independent samples t-test). Based on the descriptive analysis, the result of the average absorption of students in the class that applied the SQ4R learning model get the pretest score of 35.78% with the less good category and the posttest score of 64.22% with good enough category. While in the class that apply conventional learning get absorbed average class 38,48% with less good category at pretest score and 54,66% with category good enough at posttest score. The critical thinking ability of the classroom students applying the SQ4R learning model is in the moderate category with N-Gain 0.45 while the class applying the conventional learning is 0.27 with the low category. Based on inferential analysis through independent samples t-test obtained Sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.001 <0.05 which means there is a significant difference. The results of this study can be concluded that the use of SQ4R learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills in SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru on the material Momentum and Impuls.Keywords: Critical Thinking Skill, SQ4R (Survey, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) Model

Abstract

Abstract : This study was aimed to determine students cognitive study result by the application of guided inquiry learning model. This study was conducted in SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya Kuansing. This study was a quasi experimental using intact group comparison design. The population in this study was student of X MIPA class in SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya Kuansing. Sample on this study obtained from two classes of population based on homogeneity test and the sample was chooseen randomly so that experiment and control classed could be obtained. The data was collected by using cognitive study result test after guided inquiry model was applied in experiment class and conventional learning was applied in control class. The data was analize by using descriptive and inferential analysis. This study showed that the average number of students absorption ability which guided inquiry model was applied 81,05% and 72,56% for the conventional learning. It can be concluded that the application of guided inquiry learning model could enchace students’ cognitive study result on impuls and momentum material at X class SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya kuansing.Keywords : guided inquiry, cognitive study result, impuls and momentum

Abstract

Abstract : This study is based on the researcher’s experience during the internship at the school, showing that there are some students who experience bullying and phenomena that occur in the educational field. This study is aimed to determine the general description of bullying victims and the psychological conditions of bullied students at the school. The research method is a quantitative method along with the descriptive approach. The subject of this research is the eight grade students of Junior High School 1 Pekanbaru. The instrument of data collection is a questionnaire by using modified Likert Scale. Based on the data analysis, generally the level of students experiencing bullying at the school shows a moderate level in proportion. Based on the bully indicator, most students experienced; verbal bullying, mental bullying, and physical bullying. Based on gender, more bullying experienced by male students rather than female students. Psychological conditions of the students experiencing bullying stand at moderate level which is dominated by emotional aspects and then stress.Keywords: Bullying Victims, Psychological Conditions, Student

Abstract

Abstract: This research entitled: "Wrist-Based Relationship Accuracy With Accuracy Smash on PPLP Men's Volleyball Team RIAU. This study aims to determine the correlation of wrist flexibility with accuracy smash of RRI's PPLP volleyball team. Population in this research is all volleyball team of PPLP Team of RIAU is 12 people. Sampling is done by total sampling technique. So the samples in this study are all volunteers of RIAU Team PPLP team that amounted to 20 people. This type of research is included in correlation research. Data collection was performed with wrist-formation tests and volleyball smash tests. Data obtained then processed using statistical techniques. Furthermore, the data have been obtained tested the normality with Liliefours test at a significant level α = 0.05. Based on the results of research conducted, where from the normality test data obtained Lo (X) 0.207 while Lo (Y) 0.227 and Ltabel = 0.213 so that if L0max <Ltabel then the data is normally distributed. From the calculation of product moment correlation correlation variable x to y obtained rhitung = 0.765> from rtabel thus Ho rejected and Ha diteima. Conclusion of hypothesis of this research is hypothesis accepted at significant level  = 0,05 in other words there is significant correlation between wrist flexibility with accuracy smash on RIAU PPLP volleyball team.Key Words: Wrist flexibility, smash volleyball.

Abstract: Research it is based on the state of management increase peoples interest in reading. Because efforts management increase peoples interest in reading on the Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) in PKBM Sekecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru. The formulation of a problem of this research is how high management efforts to increase peoples interest in reading on the Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) in PKBM Sekecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru?. The purpose of this research is to find management efforts to increase peoples interest in reading on the Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) in PKBM Sekecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru. The population in research has reached 52 people. So research sample areas 32 people and the other 20 a test sample of trying to, simple sample that is used is the simple sampling jenuh. An instrument data collection the survey with 54 a statement and if the trial live 49 statement valid for made instrument in research. Data analysis through descriptive analysis quantitative. The research management efforts to increase peoples interest in reading on the Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) in PKBM Sekecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru considered to be high, with the percentage of (SB+B) 70% on indicators of the quality of taking the responsible toward take over as coach of through the observance of aturan-aturan which have already been stipulated. While the lowest is with a percentage (SB+B) 62% in their indicators regarding the development of science and technology.Key words: Management efforts, Management efforts to increase peoples interest in reading

Abstract

Abstract : This study investigates the possibility to write a text description of students of class VII of SMP Negeri 10 Tambusai Utara Rokan Hulu District. The aim of this study is to describe how high the ability to write text description of class VII students of SMP Negeri 10 and to describe the differences in the ability to write text description between groups or between classes. This study has a population of 55 and 48 samples. The result of this study is the possibility to make the description text equal to the comparison value. The comparative score used in this study was 69. The students' ability to write was the same as the comparative score, which meant that the ability to write class VII course text was moderate. In other words, the hypothesis is accepted. Then tested using Mann Whitney Test. The result is that there is a difference in the ability to write a text description of class VII students between classes.Key words: ability, writing, description text, student

Abstract

Abstract : At the present time dating behavior a lot of bad effects for students such as not concentrating when learning, being closed and do not want to be so that the process of student self-development hampered. The purpose this is study : 1) description of student dating behavior 2) To know the description of student learning motivation in dating. The method used is descriptive with quantitative approach. Population in this research is student of class X.1-X-6 Pharmacy dating as much as 73 student, by using technique of saturated sampling. Data collection using questionnaires and using guttman scale. The results showed that; 1) The reason for the students dating for entertainment, 2) The dating disadvantage according to the respondent is full of problems, 3) while in terms of dating benefits is the development of patterns of student interaction, 4) For the dating place students do it at school and 5) Activities performed chatting, 6) The description of students' motivation in dating in terms of instrnsik existence of encouragement and needs while extrinsic students that is the existence of a safe and conducive environment. It can be concluded that student dating behavior is at a moderate level. It is expected that bk teachers should be able to control and respond quickly in preventing and overcoming student dating behavior.Keywords : Dating Behavior, Motivation Learn

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research was to determine the effect of learning habits and family environment on student achievement on economic subjects class X and XI IPS at SMA Muhammadiyah bangkinang. The Population of this research were students of X dan XI social class at SMA Muhammadiyah bangkinang and the total is 44 students. This Research takes all of population as a sample or is called a cencus study. The data collection was done by using documentation and questionnaire. And the data analysis by using multiple regression analysis. The results of this research indicate (1) study habits have a significant effect on learning achievement with tcount (3,910) > ttabel (2,020) or sig. (0,011) < 0,05 (2) family environment have significant effect to learning achievement with value fcount (32,262) > ftabel (3,226) with sig. (0,000) < 0,05 with a R square value 0,661. It could be concluded that the perchantage of influence of learning habit and family environment to learning achievement variable was equal 61,6%. While the remaining 38,9% influenced by other variables were school environment, community environment, self motivation. Multiple regression equation obtained in this research was = 40,112 + 0,398 + 0,437. It means that if the study habits (X1) and family environment (X2) does not exist then the amount of learning achievement (Y) equal 40,112 and every existence of increase of habit learning then will improve the student achievement of 0,398 and any increase in attention from the family environment will increase student achievement of 0,437.Keywords: Study Habits, Family Environment And Learning Achievement
