Abstract

Abstract: This research to improve the learning process and the student’s mathematical understanding skill by Discovery Learning (DL) model. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The subjects of this research were students of class VII2 SMPN 25 Pekanbaru. This study was conducted in the second semester of academic year 2017/2018. The research instruments used are mathematical learning instruments (Syllabus, Lesson Plans, and Student Worksheet) and instruments for collecting data (Observation Sheets and Mathematical-Understanding Tests). The observation sheets were used to find out the data of students and teacher activity during learning process which would analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively, and mathematical understanding test were used to collect the student’s mathematical understanding skill outcomes which would analyzed quantitatively. Based on the analysis of the observation sheets showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Result of the test indicates that the student’s learning achievement for the first is 48.03 improved in cycle I to 64.21 and improved to 81.37 in cycle II. The improvement of student’s learning achievement founded for each indicator of mathematical understanding skill: redefine the concept, provide examples and not examples the concept, and applying concepts to solve the problem. Based on the result above, it can be concluded that the implementation of Discovery Learning model approach can improve the learning process and the students’ mathematical understanding skill outcomes at class VII2 SMPN 25 Pekanbaru.Key Words: mathematical understanding skill, discovery learning, classroom action research

Abstract

Abstrack: Research on the application of cooperative learning model Quick On The Draw has been conducted to improve student learning achievement on the topic stoichiometry at class X SMAN 5 Pekanbaru. This research is experimental research with randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The sample took in the 9 January – 20 February 2013. The sample consisted of two classes, X3 class as experimental class and X2 class as control class. Experimental Class is the class with cooperative learning model Quick On The Draw and Control Class is the class with no cooperative learning model Quick On The Draw. Analyze of data by used t-test formula. Result of data processing obtained tcount>ttable is 2,416 > 1,67. It means that the application of cooperative learning model Quick On The Draw can improve student achievement on the topic stoichiometry at class X SMAN 5 Pekanbaru.Keyword: cooperative learning, quick on the draw, study achievement,stoichiometry

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed at finding out whether there is significant effect of using TPS (Think –Pair- Share) technique on the students ability of the first year students of Madrasah Aliyah Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru in comprehending narrative texts. The design of the research is pre-experimental. The population and sample are the first grade student of Madrsah Aliyah Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The number of sample is selected by using cluster random sampling technique. To get the data, the researcher conducted a pre-test and a post-test, then the results are analyzed using quantitative data calculated by SPSS 16 version. The result of sig. value is 0.000. It can be stated that 0.000 < 0.005. Then, the result of t-test is 14. 82, meanwhile t-table is 1.701. The t-test is higher than the t-table. It means that Hypothesis is accepted. In other words, there is a significant effect of using TPS (Think-Pair-Share) technique on the students ability of the first year students of Madrasah Aliyah Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru in comprehending narrative texts.Key words: TPS(Thnik-Pair-Share), technique, reading comprehension, narrative text.

Abstract: The purposes of this research are: 1) To know how Supervision Principal around district Marpoyan Damai Pekanbaru City? 2) To know how the Working Educator's Educational Work ethic in Marpoyan Damai District of Pekanbaru? 3) To find out whether there is a Principal Supervision Relation with the work ethic of Kindergarten Educator in Marpoyan Damai around district, Pekanbaru? So it can be formulated the problem of this research are: 1) How Supervision Principal around district Marpoyan Damai Pekanbaru? 2) How is the Working Educator's Educational Work ethic in Marpoyan Damai Sub-district Pekanbaru? 3) Is there a Principal Supervision Relation with the work ethic of Kindergarten Educators in Marpoyan Damai Sub-district Pekanbaru City? This research was conducted in Kindergarten of Sub-district of Marpoyan Damai Pekanbaru City. This research is a correlation research. Population of this research is educator which exist in Kindergarten of Marpoyan Damai Sub-district of Pekanbaru Town which amounts to 196 educators. The sample in this study as many as 132 respondents are the kindergarten educators in the sub-district Marpoyan Damai Pekanbaru City. From the sample taken 20 people to be tested samples of research instruments and the rest of 132 people educators used as research samples. Based on the research results, it can be concluded: 1) Supervision Principal obtained percentage of 89.97% with Excellent category. 2) Educational Worker Educational Work ethic is obtained percentage of 61,37% with Good category. 3) There is a correlation between educators' perceptions of the principal's supervision with the work ethic of Kindergarten Teachers in Marpoyan Damai Sub-district, Pekanbaru City.Keywords: Supervision, Work Ethic

Abstract

Abstrack: This research aims to determine the activity of rhizosphere bacterialActinomycetes degrade palm oil liquid waste. The method used in this research isexperimental, using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 timesreplicates. The degradation treatment of palm oil liquid waste as follows: (1) palm oilliquid waste sterile without bacteria (control), (2) palm oil liquid waste sterile +bacteria Actinomycetes type I, (3) palm oil liquid waste sterile + bacteriaActinomycetes type II, and (4) palm oil liquid waste sterile + bacteria Actinomycetestype III. Rhizosphere bacterial Actinomycetes type II proved the most potential todegrade palm oil liquid waste compared with rhizosphere bacterial Actinomycetestypes I and III. Rhizosphere bacterial Actinomycetes type II can reduce the BOD23.67 mg/L, COD 748.33 mg/L, TSS 21.67 mg/L, pH 7.3, and the total number ofbacteria 80x1010 CFU/mL during incubation day 14. The longer incubation time thecontent of BOD, COD, TSS decreased and pH values towards neutral.Key Words: rhizosphere bacterial Actinomycetes, palm oil liquid waste degradation

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to produce a multimedia physics learning integrated with packing preparation of learning tools in senior high school in valid. This research method used is Research and Development (R & D) with ADDIE’s model. Method steps include analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Data collection was done through multimedia validation sheet by 6 validators, consisted of 3 persons expert and 3 persons expert users. The instrument of learning device validity developed consisted of aspect of planning, pedagogic, content and technique. The result of multimedia validation in aspect of planning got the average mark was 4.52 with high category, aspect of pedagogic is 4.53 with high category, aspect of content is 4.54 with high category and aspect of technique is 4.52 with high category. In conclusion, multimedia in this reaserch was declared valid and feasible to use as physics learning media for senior highschool on material of rectilinear motion. As recommendation, multimedia can be refined with following the times and doing the practicality test to school.Keywords : Multimedia, packing preparation of learning tools, rectilinear motion

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of working capital turnover on profitability in real estate and property companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study population is all real estate and property companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2015 which have cash turnover data, receivable turnover, inventory turnover, and profitability as measured by return on investment (ROI) 3 years in a row ( 2013-2015). Data obtained from the Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) and the website of each company. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS program. The results show that cash turnover, receivable turnover, and inventory turnover simultaneously affect return on investment. Partially, cash turnover has a positive effect on return on investment, receivable turnover has a positive effect on return on investment, and inventory turnover has a positive effect on return on investment.Keywords : Cash Turnover, Receivable Turnover, Inventory Turnover, and Return on Investment

Abstract

Abstract : This research is based on the low learning result of PPKn students in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan. The formulation of the problem in this research is: "Is there any influence of peer lessons learning model on the learning outcomes of PPKn IPA class X students in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan?" This research aims to know the effect of peer lessons learning model on learning outcomes of PPKn class X IPA in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras ". This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras in April 2018. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that became the population in this study is the students of class X IPA SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras. Samples in this study is taken based on the technique of "Random Sampling". Where the class taken into the sample is the students of class X IPAa (experimental class) which is given the model of Peer Lessons Learning and class X IPAb (control class) are students who are given the conventional method. Then data analysis by using homogeneity test and test "t". Based on the result of research indicate that there is influence of learning result between student using Peer Lessons model and conventional method in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras (t = (count = 66,11)> t_ (table = 2.01)). Where there is an average increase of learning outcomes of experimental class PPKn from 66, 07 to 78.92 and the average increase in learning outcomes of control class PPKn from 58.06 to 65. Thus the hypothesis that there is influence of Peer lessons learning model on the results learning PPKn IPA class X students in SMA Negeri 2 Pangkalan Kuras, can be accepted.Keywords : Peer Lessons, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the implementation of the curriculum 2013 and the problems experienced by teachers in implementation of the curriculum 2013 on vocational high schools in Pekanbaru. The subject of this research wass the entire teachers who teach at the accounting and financial expertise on vocational high schools in Pekanbaru with the number of teachers was 22 from 14 schools. The data was collected by using the questionnaire. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative method. The results showed; from 22 respondents who implement the curriculum 2013, 38.95% respondents stated that they were very good in implementation of the curriculum 2013 indicators. And of 47.40% respondents stated that they were good in implementation of the curriculum 2013 indicators. If the respond “very good” and “good” were combined it will be 86.35%. In conclusion, the implementation of the curriculum 2013 on vocational high schools in Pekanbaru is good. The problems which are still experienced by teachers in the implementation of the curriculum 2013 are (1) it is still less of students’ handbook. (2) students are less motivated by teachers. (3) teachers are still not able in managing the classroom (4) teachers do not have well-understanding to the students’ material (5) it is lack of Internet access provided by schools. (6) students have less interest in reading (7) it is less of time for reading in schools. (8) students are still not independence. (9) students cannot be able in scientific problem solving (10) teachers only use one resource (11) it is not only assessment of knowledge but also assessment of spiritual and skills (12) there is still some learners who are less motivated to achieve the competency.Keywords: Implementation the Curriculum 2013

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of family income on the motivation of students learning class XI SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. Population in the study of students class XI amounted to 312 people and the sample obtained by using proportional random sampling technique as much as 76 respondents. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive quantitative analysis, simple linear regression analysis. The result of this study is family income significant influence the student learning motivation. Simple linear regression equation obtained in this study is Y = 72,980 + 3,502X. Coefficient of determination (R2) equal to 37,6%.Key Words: Family Income, Learning Motivation
