Abstract

AbstractThis paper was aimed at finding out to what extent comic strips can improve the ability of the second year students of SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru in writing narrative texts. The participants of this research were 36 students of the second year students of SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. The data collection technique were obtained through (1)observation sheet which was applied to know the students’ activities during teaching and learning process, (2) test was done to measures students’ achievement, and (3) field note was done to obtain information about teacher, the students’ activities and performance during the implementation of comic strips. The research findings can be briefly explained as follows; firstly, the students’ ability in writing narrative texts could be improved by using comic strips. Before the research was done, the mean score of students’ pre-test was 60.4. After the research has done for cycle 1, the mean score of students’ writing was 68.1. In post test 2 mean score of students’ writing increased up to 78.4. Secondly, the students’ activeness increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2. Finally, the students enjoyed to write narrative text and develop their writing.Keyword : Comic Strips, Writing, Narrative Text

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to improve learning process and increase student’s mathematical achievement through implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL)Model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class X Science 1 SMA Negeri 1 Lirik in the second semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. The subject of this research consist of 22 students, there are 12 female students and 10 male students.The research instrument consists of learning materials and instruments for collecting data. Learning materials used in this research are the Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Activity Sheets. Instrument data collectors used in this research are observation sheet and mathematical achievement test. Data analysis techniques in this study are descriptive narrative analysis of qualitative data and descriptive statistics analysis ofquantitative data. Application of PBL model also gives positive impact on the implementation of learning process that students become more active in learning activities so that learning is not centered on the teacher. Students are also trained to build their own knowledge and can find their own mathematical concepts through the presentation of problems close to the student's real life. The percentage of students which ispass Minimum Mastery Crieria (MMC) increase from 31,8% to 59,1% at the first test and to 77,3% at the second test. This research concludes that the implementation of PBL improved the learning process and the student’s mathematical achievement atclass X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Lirik. PBL model can be used as an alternative to learning, because through this learning can improve the learning processand mathematical achievement of the students.Key Words: Classroom Action Research, Problem Based Learning models, Learning outcomes, Learning Process

Abstract

Abstract:This research is motivated due to a phenomenon in which the teacher. Most of the teachers have not been able to make the idea to create Educational Games, by it self the lack of understanding of the Educational Game Equipment in accordance with the needs of children, some teachers are less skilled and less patient in processing residue and natural ingredients into Educational Game Equipment, low the willingness of teachers to process waste materials and natural materials into tools Educational Games, teachers lack confidence in their own works made which resulted in the teachers tend to use methods and tools watch games, such as children's worksheets. The purpose of this studywas to determin ethe creativity of early childhood teachers in District Kempas Indragiri Hilir. The populationin this study were 40 teachers and the sample used is saturated samples. Measuring instruments used in this study was a questionnaire. The technique of analysis in this research is by using techniques percentage. The results were obtained by an average of 92,4%. Where the value of 92,4 is at the value of 86,6 to 95,4 or the medium category and the percentage of each the 5 indicators are 4 indicator were high and were medium.Keywords: Creativity Of Teachers, Learning Resources

Abstract

Abstract : This research entitled the personality of the main character in the collection of short stories Yuli s'lalu smart in social media facebook by Yulismar. The purpose of this study is to describe the values of positive personality and negative personality values of the main character in the collection of short stories Yuli s'lalu smart in social media facebook by Yulismar. The result of the research of positive personality values of the main characters in the collection of short stories that have been studied amounted to 56 data, and the negative personality values of the main characters amounted to 8 data. The total data is 64 data. The values of the main character personality in the collection of short stories that have been studied was more dominant to the positive personality. Positive personalities that tend to appear that is a religious personality. The revealed religious personality amounted to 27 data.Keywords: Values, Personality, The Main Character ,Short Story

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning process and learning outcomes math class VII A Hubbulwathan MTs Duri by applying Cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type. The subjects were students of class VII A with heterogen academic ability. This research is a class action with two cycles. Each cycle has four steps, the steps are the planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Results showed activity sheets and teacher observation of students have done well after taking action. There is an improvement in the students learning process and an increase in the number of students who achieved at UH minimum completeness criteria end of each cycle compared to the number of students who achieve minimum completeness criteria on base score. The results of this study indicate that the application of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve the process of learning and improving mathematics learning outcomes of VII A Student in the MTS Hubbulwathan Duri on first semester of academic year 2013/2014. Key words: Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning, Numbered Head Together (NHT), Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: Research it is based on needs learn teenagers drop out of school in RW 005 Cipta Karya Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru. The learning needs are diverse, so everyone tends to have different learning needs. Learning needs can be defined as a distance between the level of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are owned at a time and want to obtain someone who can only be achieved through learning activities. Formulation problems research is how high the learning needs of teenagers drop out of school in RW 005 Cipta Karya Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru? How much the indicator contributes to the learning needs of teenagers drop out of school in RW 005 Cipta Karya Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru? And is there any difference in demographic factor of respondents to the learning needs. The purpose of this research is find to know the level of learning needs of teenagers drop out of school, to find out the large contribution of indicators to the learning needs of teenagers dropping out of school in RW 005 Cipta Karya Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru and to find out the differences between each respondent's demographic factors for learning needs. Population in this study as many as 37 people. the researcher take all of it for the research sample by using technique sampling jenuh (all populations are sampled). Trials were conducted on 20 teenagers who were another place. An instrument data collection namely poll with 54 a statement and if the trial live 44 a statement that valid to make instrument in research. there are 10 items that invalid , and researchers throw all that is not valid, so that the whole instrument expressed reliabel as Cronbach Alpha = 0,963. The findings of the research indicated that the learning need teenagers drop out of school in RW 005 Cipta Karya Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru is moderate.Key words: Needs Learn, Needs Learn Teenagers Drop Out Of School

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of learning facilities and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in economic subjects class X IPS SMA country 1 Kelayang. The population in this study were students of class X SMA country 1 Kelayang which amounted to 46 people, the sample was obtained by using saturated sampling method as much as 46 respondents. Data collection is done through documentationLearning Outcome and questionnaire Learning Facilities, Learning Motivation. Data analysis method used ismultiple linear regression analysis. The result of this research is (1) the learning facilities have a significant effect on the learning outcomes result which is obtained tcount( 2,800 >ttabel 2,017) and significant value (0,008)<0,05; (2) Learning motivation have a significant impact on student learning outcomes where obtained tcount ( 3,714 ) > ttabel (2,017) and significant value (0,001)< 0,05 ; (3) In silmutan there is a positive or significant influence between learning facilities and learning motivation with learning results, fcount (11,621)> ftabel (3,214) and significant value (0,000) < 0.05. The result of multiple regression research found that the learning facilities and learning motivation have a significant effect on the learning outcomes of 35,1% of the learning outcomes and the rest of 64,9% influenced by other factors outside this study. Multiple regression equation obtained in this research is Y =51,868 + 0,334 X1 + 0, 276 X2.. This means that if the learning facilities (X1) and learning motivation (X2) does not exist then the amount of learning outcomes (Y) of 51,868 and any increase in learning facilities will increase student learning outcomes by 0,334 and any increase in learning motivation it will improve student learning outcomes of 0,275.Keywords: Learning Facilities, Learning Motivation and Learning Outcome

Abstract

Abstract : The background of this research is the restrict of mathematic learning device as supporting learning referring to 2013 Curriculum. This research aims to developed the lesson plan and students worksheet of mathematics which refers to of Contextual Teaching and Learning on the subject sequence and series for 11th grade students of Senior High School with valid and practical criteria. This study method used in 4D model by Thiagarajan, that consist of define, design, development, and disseminate, because of time and cost, the study was only to development step. The lesson plan and students worksheet of mathematics that had been developed than validated by three validatores and revised based on the input from validators. The valid students worksheet then tested in two stages, the small group trial (7 students of class XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru) and large group trial (39 students of class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru). Based to the data analysis and discussion can be concluded that the lesson plan and students worksheet of mathematics which refers to application of Contextual Teaching and Learning on the subjects sequence and series are valid with and average value for the lesson plan is 3.61 and the average value for students worksheet is 3.54. The student worksheet has also reached the practical qualification in mean percentage of student responses 88,84% in large group trial with very practical. Based on the results of this research can be concluded that the product in the form of Lesson Plan and Student Worksheet mathematics which refers to Contextual Teaching and Learning on the subject Sequence and Series for 11th grade students of Senior High School is considered very valid and practical.Key Words: Validity and Practicality, Research and Development, Contextual Teaching and Learning, Sequence and Series

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to find out the effect of course review horay learning model on student learning achievement. This research used quasy experimental method and involve student class XI IIS 1 as experimental class and student class XI IIS 2 as control class. Data retrieval process start from pretest in two class and give treatment in experimental class. Data analysis techniques used are Homogenity test, normality test, paired sample t- test and N-Gain Test with the help of SPSS version 19.0 and calculation with formula manually. The result of this research are there is a significant different in economic learning achievement between two class. The average of learning achievement in experimental class is 76,72 and for control class is 71,20. The teacher activity in class is includ in perfect category with score in meeting I, II, and III : 53, 58 and 60. The student activity include in good activity category with score meeting I, II, and III : 30, 33 and 32. Course Review Horay learning model has significant effect for student learning achievement of 0,81. This research show that the Course Review Horay model learning has a positive effect to economic learning achievement. This means that student-centered learning models can improve student learning activities and have a positive effect on student learning achievements. To improve student learning achievement the support of the teacher is needed in the form of an effective learning model.Keyword:Cooperative Learning, Course Review Horay, Learning Achievement

Abstract

Abstract : This descriptive study aims to discuss to what extent the teachers utilize ICT in teaching and learning activities, as teaching media and learning resources as well as the obstacles faced by teachers while utilizing ICT. The population of this study was the teachers of SMK Dar El Hikmah Boarding School selected by using total sampling technique (n: 20). Data were gathered by distributing a set of questionnaire designed in the form of five points of the Likert scale. The data were analysed using Microsoft Excel 2010. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded the utilization of ICT in teaching and learning activities in general was in high level category, with the mean of 3.6. Specifically, the utilization of ICT in teaching and learning process was in high category level, and the utilization of ICT as teaching media and learning resources was in mediocre category level, with the mean score of 3.18. Obstacles related to availability of facilities and infrastructures were faced by the teachers and some suggestions to overcome the problems are given in this research.Keywords: Utilization, ICT, teaching media, learning resources.
