Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the ability of creative thinking and learning outcomes of XI MIA 3 students in Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru High School with a guided inquiry model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were students of class XI MIA 3 in Muhammadiyah 1 High School Pekanbaru, totaling 31 students consisting of 11 men and 20 women. The parameters measured are the ability to think creatively and student learning outcomes consisting of cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities of students. Data collection techniques were carried out by tests (LKPD, Post test and daily test) and non-test (observation sheet). Data analysis techniques are carried out quantitatively and supported by descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the average creative thinking ability of students in the first cycle was 76.51 with the Enough category and increased in the second cycle to 85.40 with the Good category. The average value of absorption of students in the first cycle was 80.50 with the category Enough and increased in the second cycle to 87.51 with the Good category. For student learning completeness in learning cycle I which is equal to 87.09% and cycle II has reached 100% complete. While for the average value of attitudes of students in learning cycle I is 82.74 with the Enough category and increases in the second cycle to 89.45 with the Good category. The average psychomotor value of students in learning cycle I is 83.36 with the category Enough and increases in the second cycle to 90.59 with the Good category. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the Guided Inquiry model can improve creative thinking skills and learning outcomes of XI MIA 3 students at Muhammadiyah 1 High School Pekanbaru.Key Words: Guided Inquiry, Creative Thinking, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning process and the student’s mathematical problem solving skill by applying Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This type of research is classroom action research with two cycles. This research was conducted in collaboration between researcher and teacher of mathematics. Subjects were students of class VII.A SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu. Study was conducted in the first semester of academic year 2018/2019. The research instrument consists of mathematical learning instruments and instruments to collect data. Mathematical learning instruments used in this study are syllabus, lesson plans, and activity sheets. Data collection instruments used in this study is observation sheets and mathematical problem solving tests. Data analysis technique in this study is analysis descriptive narrative of qualitative data and descriptive statistical analysis of quantitative data. The result of this study showed that the implementation of PBL improved the learning process and the student’s mathematical problem solving skill. The student’s average value in cycle I which is 59,48 had improved to 86,00 in cycle II. The improvement also found in the indicator average value in identifying the problem, devising a plan to solve the problem, carrying out the plan to solve the problem, and interpreting the solution. This study concludes that the implementation of PBL improved the learning process and the student’s mathematical problem solving skill at class VII.A SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu. PBL model can be used as an alternative to learning, because through this learning can improve the learning process and mathematical problem solving skill of the students.Key Words: Problem Based Learning, Mathematical Problem Solving Skill, Learning Process.

Abstract

Abstract : This reseach was motivated by the low learning outcomes of class IV at Pekanbaru Public Elementary School 161 on social students. This study aims to improve social studies learning outcomes of class IV at pekanbaru Public Elementary School 25 by applying the cooperative learning model type numbered heads together. The research subjectse were class IV student at pekanbaru public Element school 161 which numbered 25 students. The results of the studies learnig outcomes of class IV students at pekanbaru public Elementary school 161 in thr academic year 2018/2019. This was evident from the student learning outcomes in the basic score is 72,20% to 24,22%, increasing by 23.45%. the avage from the base score to the second cycle to 2,72% increased by 90,4%. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the numbered heads together cooperative learning model can improve the social studies learning outcomes of class IV student at pekanbaru public elementary School 161.Keywords: cooperative learning model type numbered head together, social studies learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: this research aims to know the relationship of self concept by resiliensi children in Orphanages, Al-Raya Tenayan Distric Anshor Pekanbaru. As for the populas in this study are all the children of the orphanage Al-4-6 year-old Anshor totalling 39 children, the sample of this research as much as 39 children using the technique of sampling is saturated. Methods used i.e. correlation Pearson Product Moment to see the relationship between the concept of self variables with resiliensi children. Techniques of data collection, namely the observation sheet using the Likert Scale. Data analysis techniques using test scale and the analysis of statistical methods with the SPSS program for Windows ver. 23. Based on the hypothesis test is obtained there is significant and positive relationship between the child's self concept by resiliensi children in Orphanages, Al-Raya Tenayan Distric Anshor Pekanbaru. It is known from the value of the koefesien correlation of rxy = 0.485 and significant degrees of 0.002 < 0.05. the level of the relationship between the concept of yourself with resiliensi children are included in the value of the resulting determination of koefesien 23.5%, meaning that the concept of self giving influence of 23.5% against reseliensi.Keywords: Self Concept, Resiliensi

Abstract

Abstract : This research is classroom action research which aims to improve the learning process and the result of learning mathematics by applying Discovery Learning model. The subject of this research were the students in the class VIIB of SMPIT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru that consist of 25 girls at the second semester of academic year 2017/2018. Instruments on this reserach constisted of syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets, and instruments of data collection which is observation sheets and the test result sheets. The function of observation sheet is to obtain data from the learning process, while the function of results sheet of the mathematics learning tests is to obtain the results of the study. The descriptive of observation sheets and students’ mathematic tests showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycles and improve the students’ achievement of learning mathematic. On the knowledge competence, from the basic score of 11 students or 44% increased to 16 students or 64% in the first cycle and increased to 19 students or 76% in Cycle II. On the skills competence, the number of students who reach the minimum criteria of mastery learning from Cycle I of 5 students or 20% improve to 11 students or 44% in cycle II. Based on the results of this research can be concluded that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model can improve the learning achievement of the second semester students of class VIIB of SMPIT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru in the second semester academic year 2017/2018.Keywords: Students’ Math Achievement, Discovery Learning Model, Clasroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by childhood since children have learned how to behave socially in accordance with the expectations of those who are closest to him, namely his mother, father, siblings, and other family members. Such as family relations between the father and mother who are not harmonious, often fight in front of children, harsh treatment of children, too strict and curb children's freedom, all of which will greatly affect the development of children's personality and self-concept of children. The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine the self-concept of children aged 5-6 years in Harapan Maju Sibiruang Kindergarten, Koto Kampar Hulu District, Kampar District. 2) To find out the social behavior of children aged 5-6 years in Harapan Maju Sibiruang Kindergarten, Koto Kampar Hulu District, Kampar District. 3) To determine the relationship between self-concept and social behavior of children aged 5-6 years in Harapan Maju Sibiruang Kindergarten, Koto Kampar Hulu District, Kampar District. The population in this study were all children in Harapan Maju Sibiruang Kindergarten Kamapar Kampar Hulu Subdistrict, Kampar Regency, as many as 27 teachers consisting of 3 classes. This type of research is correlative quantitative research. The sample in this study were 27 children. Based on hypothesis testing from the results of product moment correlation analysis, the value of rxy is 0.703. Correlation is interpreted using the table of r product moment values. From the calculation it is known that r count> r table for a significant level of 5% = 0.437> 0.273. This means that Ha can be accepted and Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that self-concept with social behavior has a positive relationship. The results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination are known that the self concept with social behavior of children in Harapan Maju Sibiruang Kindergarten Koto Kampar Hulu District is 49%, meaning that children's self-concept determines 49% of their social behavior while 50.6% of social behavior is determined by other variables.Key Words: Self concept, social behavior

Abstract

Abstract: Experimental research had been conducted to improve science learning motivation of class VII4 students of JHS 17 Pekanbaru by using model guided inquiry using mind mapping. This pre-experimental design study was conducted in September-October 2018 with a study population of all students in class VII4 of JHS 17 Pekanbaru and a sample of students of class VII4, amounting to 37 people. The parameters in this study are science learning motivation consists of 4 indicators namely, Attention, Relevance, Confidence and Satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that treatment in the experimental class has an effect on increasing science learning motivation of class VII4 students showed: 1)Attention, student motivation experienced an increase in initial and final motivation of 2.43(low) to 3.24(moderate) with N-gain 0.51(medium. 2)Relevance, students' motivation experienced an increase in initial and final motivation which was 2.50(low) to 3.50(moderate) with N-gain 0.66(moderate). 3)Confidence, student motivation experienced an increase in initial and final motivation of 2.10(low) to 3.10(moderate) with N-gain 0.50 (moderate). 4)Satisfaction, motivation of students experiencing an increase in initial and final motivation, namely 2.30(moderate) to 3.60(moderate) with N-gain of 0.76(high). Based on the analysis of the average value of all the initial motivational indicators of 2.35(low) there was an increase in the average value of all indicators at the final motivation of 3.36 with N-gain of 0.60(moderate).It can be concluded that the application of the model guided inquiry using mind mapping has the effect of increasing the learning motivation of science students of class VII4 of JHS 17 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Guided Inquiry, Mind Mapping, Motivation

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is students low in mathematical of grade at SMP Negeri 1 Dumai. The aims of research is to improve learning process and to increase student mathematics achievement with applying the learning model of Problem Based Learning. This research is classroom action research. The subject of this research is student of class VIII2 SMP Negeri 1 Dumai in academic years 2018/2019, which amounted to 32 students, consist of 15 boys and 17 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle have four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research is observation sheets that consisting of the identity of the observation sheet, filling instruction, indicators that refer to PBL steps, descriptors and observations and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets is analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students mathematic tests is analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive show an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students are very confidence and active in learning process, such as while they are finishing mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria of knowledge increase from basic score to quiz-I and quiz-II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (31,25%) to the first quiz (43,75%) to the second quiz (62,5%). For the skills of basic score (37,5%) to the first quiz (46,88%) to the second quiz (81,25%). From these data it can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class VIII2 SMP Negeri 1 Dumai in academic years 2018/2019 for the subject relation and fungtion.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract : Based on field observations, it is clear that during practice and inter-school matches,it is seen from the ball blow when the top serve of the ball is often out of the field and sometimes stells on the net or hit the net, some even do not get to the field opponent. In accordance with the background problem and problem formulation, this study aims to determine the relationship of muscle strength of the arms and shoulders and eye and hand coordination with the accuracy of service over the men’s bola voli team SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. The population in this study is the men’s bola voli team SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru registered or active follow the training which amounted to 12 people. Because the sampling technique was purposive sampling, only men’s volleyball extracurricular team from SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru were taken in 12 people and without women’s volleyball extracurricular team. This research was carried out in volleyball field of SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru on February 6, 2018. Instrumen in this research a test service, test an explosive arm muscles using the Medicine ball, and Eye-hand Coordination test of [throw catch tennis balls]. The data obtained in the analysis by using design research correlation. Based on the results of research that has been authors described in the previous chapter, it can be concluded there is the relationship between power arm and shoulder muscles with the accuracy of to service on the men’s bola voli extracurricular SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. There is a relationship that is not in the direction in the coordination of eye and hand with the service accuracy on the men’s bola voli extracurricular SMP Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. Then, there is a relationship of power arm and shoulder muscles and the coordination of eye and hand with the service accuracy.Key Words: Muscle Arm and Shoulder Strength, eye and Hand Coordination, Service Accuracy

Abstract

Abstract : This research is motivated by many students who find it difficult to understand the meaning of fractions and operations. So that students have difficulty in solving fraction problems that have an impact on errors in working on fraction problems. By knowing the mistakes made by students, it is expected that the teacher can make appropriate improvements in the teaching and learning process. The research aims to find out the students' mistakes in solving fractions based on the type of Nolthing error. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. This research was conducted in several elementary schools which are included in a cluster of 1 Tampan sub-district, Pekanbaru City. The sample in this study amounted to 42 students. After conducting research and analysis of data, conclusions can be obtained that the mistakes made by students, namely, errors misinterpreting the instructions (misread directions errors) which amounted to 34.82%, then conceptual errors ((consept errors) amounted to 23.80%, errors in carelessness (carreles errors) of 18.16%, test-taking errors amounted to 11.31% and the last application errors (application errors) were 2.08%. The rest of the students answered the fraction correctly at 9.82 %Keywords: Mathematics, Fractional Problems, Nolthing Errors
