Abstract

Abstract: the aim of this study to know is there an influence of scout activitiestowards the formation of character of student responsibility in public vocationalsecondary schools 1 Bengkalis in Bengkalis sub-Bengkalis Distric. As for thepopulation and sample this research is all students in public vocational secondaryschools 1 Bengkalis in Bengkalis sub-Bengkalis Distric who participated in scoutactivities as many as 54 students. By using a saturated sampling technique. Datacollection techniques used are through observation, questionnaires and documentation.In analyzing using simple linear regression analysts. The results of this study indicatethat there is the influence of scout activities on the formation of the character ofresponsibility in public vocational secondary schools 1 Bengkalis in Bengkalis sub-Bengkalis Distric. This is evidenced by a series of simple linear regression tests beteenX and Y variables, obtained F count 54,024 and F table values 4.03 obtained from thestudy of the distribution list F count ith N=54, at a significant level of 5% thus F count> F table or 54.024 > 4.03 then Ho di rejected and Ha received significant meaning,there is the influence of scout activities on the formation of the character ofresponsibility in public vocational secondary schools 1 Bengkalis in Bengkalis sub-Bengkalis Distric.it is expected that with this researc the coach and students canmaintain and also increase scout activites again with innovations and new ideas thatcan support scout activities better and more interesting by being supported by thefacilities and infastructure provided by the schoo.Key Words : Scout, character of student responsibility

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between arm muscle strength and hand eye coordination on the ability to pass under volleyball on male extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 40 Pekanbaru. The sample of this study is the male students of the extracurricular players of the 40 Pekanbaru Middle School in 18 people. The sampling technique is taken in total (total sampling) or the full sampling technique in male extracurricular students of the 18 Pekanbaru junior high school, totaling 18 people. The results of the correlation in male extracurricular male students of SMP Negeri 40 pekanbaru where the first analysis between arm muscle strength X1 and Y where rtab at a significant level ɑ (0.05) = r_count (0.91)> r_tab (0.606), means that the hypothesis is accepted and there is a relationship strong between arm muscle strength towards volleyball's under-passing ability in male students Extracurricular 40 SMP Negeri pekanbaru. From the calculation of the analysis of both X2 and Y, where r_tab at a significant level ɑ (0.05) = means r_count (0.94)> r_tab (0.606), it means that the hypothesis is accepted and there is a strong relationship between hand eye coordination on volleyball under-passing male extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 40 pekanbaru. The third analysis of the relationship of arm muscle strength (X1) hand eye coordination (X2) with the results of lower passing (Y) where rtab at a significant level ɑ (0.05) = r_count (0.96)> r_tab (0.606), it can be concluded that the relationship between (X1) and (X2) with (Y) or the relationship of arm muscle strength and hand eye coordination with lower passing results on strong interventions.Key Words: Arm Muscle Strength, Lower Coordination and Passing.

Abstract

Abstract: From the results of the researchers' observations in the field at DSKM Duri display there are several weaknesses that appear along with the occurrence of the players in doing exercises and in soccer matches, namely the lack of maximum in passing. The purpose of this study was to find out about the relationship of eye and foot coordination with the passing accuracy of DSKM Duri soccer game. The type of research was carried out using correlations and as for the population in this study all objects of research, namely DSKM soccer players consisting of 18 people. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that eye and foot coordination has a significant relationship with the accuracy of passing in soccer games in DSKM Duri athletes. This can be seen from the results of the analysis obtained namely r count (0.908)> r table (0.482) at α = 0.05. Key Words: Eye and Foot Coordination, Passing Accuracy

Abstract

Abstract: This present study was aimed to find out whether there was a correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension of the second year students of SMP Negeri 3 Tambang. The population was the second year students of SMP Negeri 3 Tambang. The sample was chosen by using cluster random sampling and there were VIII4 and VIII5 as the samples. Vocabulary test was used to know the students’ vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension test was used to know the students reading comprehension in descriptive text. The obtained data were analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment’s Formula which was assisted by SPSS 23.00 program. The results revealed that the coefficient correlation was higher than the critical value of r-table (0.739 > 0.254). Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. In conclusion, there was a positive correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension of the second year students of SMP Negeri 3 Tambang. The obtained determination coefficient (R square) is 0.545 or 54%. This means that vocabulary clarify only 54% toward reading comprehension. While the rest 46% (100%-54%) is probably due to other factors which are not involved in this research’s variables.Key Words: Correlation, Vocabulary Mastery, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed at finding out the effect of Partner Reading Strategy on the second year students’ reading comprehension in recount texts at Junior High School 40 Pekanbaru. Pre-experimental research design was used for this study. The sample was selected using Cluster Random Sampling. Class VIIIE was chosen as the experimental class. The instrument for pre-test and post-test was in a form of multiple choices. The test consisted of 5 recount texts with 8 multiple choice items for each text. T-test was used to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a significant difference between students’ reading comprehension scores before and after being taught by using Partner Reading Strategy. The finding showed that the mean score of pre-test was 45.89 and the mean score of post-test was 59.55. The result also showed that the value of t-test (6.460) was higher than t-table (2.064). It means that the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. Hence, there is a significant effect of Partner Reading Strategy on the second year students’ reading comprehension in recount texts at Junior High School 40 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Effect, Partner Reading Strategy, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to find out whether or not there was a significant effect using Picture-Cued Storytelling Technique on the speaking ability of the third year students of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru. The research design was a re-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample was class IX-3 chosen by using cluster random sampling technique. In order to collect the data, a pre-test and post-test were administered and then the data were statistically analyzed by using the t-test formula. The result showed that the mean score of the post-test was higher than the mean score of the pre-test (51.43>47.39). The value of t-test was 11.528 while the value of t-table in significance level 5% df = 32 was 2.037. Therefore, Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and Null Hypothesis (H0) was rejected. It could be concluded that there was a significant effect of using Picture-Cued Storytelling Technique on the speaking ability of the third year students of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Picture-Cued Storytelling Technique, Speaking Ability

Abstract

Abstract: This research discusses about Picture and Picture method on Japanese Vocabulary Lesson for the class X Students of Pintar Senior High School in TalukKuantan. The aim of this research is to know the significant difference between the study result of students who used picture and picture as learning method for Japanese Vocabulary and students who did not. The object of this research was the Class X Students of Pintar Senior High School in TalukKuantan. There are two class that used as object of this research i.e XA and XB. This research is a quasy experimental research with pretest posttest design.This design was conducted in two class, with XA as control class and XB as experimental class. The type of data collection technique in this research is giving a test.The test consisted of two types, namely pretest and posttest.These tests were conducted to compare the students’ Japanese vocabulary skills before and after being given treatment.Based on the result of Independent Sample t test, it was found that the significance value (sig) (2-tailed) was 0,000 < 0.005. It means that there is a significant difference between the study result of students who used picture and picture as learning method for Japanese Vocabulary and students who did not. Abstract

Abstract: This purpose of the research is to know the tier of student misconception in elasticity material and Hooke law. The research is done in SMAN Tampan Pekanbaru which consisted of SMAN 12 Pekanbaru and SMAN 15 Pekanbaru with a total subject of 70 students. This research is a survey research. The research design is carried out by taking information or data directly of the sample. Data collecting was done by test method, which is a four-tier diagnostic test. The first tier, students must answer the multiple choice questions that have been provided totaling 28 questions. The second tier, students must include the tier of confidence in answering the question. The third tier, students must choose the right reasons or write their own reasons in answering the questions. The fourth tier, students must include the tier of confidence in determining the reason. Data analysis was done descriptively. The result is showing the average pescentage of student misconception in indicator 1 was 31% (medium), on the indicator 2 was 43% (medium), on indicator 3 was 47% (medium), on indicator 4 was 51% (medium), on indicator 5 was 57% (medium) and on indicator 6 was 33% (medium). With thus it can be concluded that the tier of misconception of SMAN students Tampan Pekanbaru is in the medium category with an average percentage of 44%.Key Words: Misconception, Four-Tier Diagnostic Test, Elastisity And Hooke Law

Abstract

Abstrak: In Indonesia a lot of historical relics are scattered in various regions ranging from Sabang to Maruke. The historical legacy itself consists of various forms such as fossils, equipment from the past, inscriptions, statues, buildings, manuscripts, and stories or saga. In North Sumtera Province, especially in Langkat District, Tanjung Pura Subdistrict. Historical legacy of the form of the building still stands firmly the heritage buildings of Langkat Sultanate and Dutch. The purpose of this study is to (1) knowing the history and condition of heritage in the District of Tanjung Pura Langkat Regency (2) knowing the efforts of Tourism and Culture Department in preserving the historical heritage in Tanjung Pura Sub-district of Langkat Regency (3) know the role of Tourism and Culture Department in developing tourist attraction in Tanjung Pura Sub-district Langkat Regency (4) knowing the supporting factors and inhibiting factors of Tourism Department In the Effort of Preservation of Historical Heritage in Tanjung Pura Sub-district Langkat Regency.The research method used by the writer is historical method, with qualitative descriptive approach, and using data collection techniques such as literature study, observation, interview and documentation. Historical relics residing in Tanjung Pura sub-district mostly leftover from Langkat Sultanate and as heritage again Dutch. The condition of the two historical relics is well maintained and there are not maintained. The effort of Tourism and Culture Office in preserving historical heritage in Tanjung Pura sub-district is not maximal. Similarly, in developing the historical tourism object of Tourism and Culture Department in its performance has not been maximal yet. So it raises several supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the performance process in carrying out its duties and functions. This should make the Department of Tourism and Culture continue to move everything to achieve the mission and vision to be achieved.Key Words: Role, Preservation, Heritage

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to determine the effect of content mastery services to the increasing moral intelligence tenth grade student’s of SMA Negeri 10 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2013/2014. The method used in this study is the method of quasi experiment, using one group pretest - posttest design. And sampling in this study 25% of the total population using a random sampling technique, mastery of content services are used as a way to improve student’s moral intelligence through several treatments. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a difference of moral intelligence of student’s before and after the service carried on the content mastery 5% error level. From the results of the processing are used by researchers, the test results obtained by the correlation of the two variables mastery of content services contribute to the improvement of the moral intelligence of student’s by 37%. And then based on that of tgreater than ttable (- 16.89> 1.960). Based on the above it can be concluded that the mastery of content services well prepared as a highly effective intervention techniques to improve the moral intelligence of student’s in the school. Furthermore, researchers recommend to the supervising teacher or school counselor in order to carry out activities mastery of content services to students of class XI and XII in order to improve student’smoral intelligence or other positive behaviors.
