Abstract

Abstract : This descriptive research was aimed to find out the ability of the second year students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts. The research data were collected on March 2017. The subjects of this research were class VIII 2 consisted of 30 students. The data were collected by administering a test to the students in the form of multiple choice test. The framework of the test covered with six kinds of descriptive text and each text has five question items. The test contained 30 items. Based on the data analysis, it was found out that the highest score obtained by the students was in finding factual information with the mean score of 87.5 categorized into good to excellent level, and the lowest score was in finding inference with the mean score of 68 categorized into average to good level. As a conclusion, the ability of the second year students of comprehending descriptive texts was in the average to good level with the mean score of 77.4. The implication of the finding is that the students should increase their comprehension in order to reach excellent level.Keywords: Students’ ability, Descriptive texts

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know the correlation between interpersonal intelligence and self-confidence on children 5-6 years old at Al-Fajar Kindergarten Tampan Pekanbaru district. The population of this research is 40 students 5-6 years old at Al-Fajar Kindergarten Tampan Pekanbaru district. Because the number of the population is small, so all of them became the sample of the population. The method used in this research was quantitative correlation to know the correlation between interpersonal intelligence and self-confidence. The technique of collecting the data is observation. The technique of data analysis is using product moment correlation technique with SPSS for windows version 17 program. Based on the result of the hypothesis test there is a significant positive correlation between interpersonal intelligence and self-confidence on children in 5-6 years old at Al-Fajar Kindergarten Tampan Pekanbaru district. This can be known from the value of the correlation coefficient of rxy =0,776 and significance level 0,000<0,05. The level of correlation between interpersonal intelligence and self-confidence included in the strong category with the value of determinant coefficient is equal to KD = r² x 100% = 60,2%, it means that interpersonal intelligence gives effect of 60,2% to self-confidence.Key Word: Self-Confidence, Interpersonal Intelligence

Abstract

ABSTRACT, problem in this research is Is there a link arm and shoulder muscle strength with service accuracy on volleyball in extracurricular student at SMPN 3 Piece. The method used is the method of correlations, which can be used to compare the results of measurements of two different variables in order to determine the degree of association between these variables. The population in this study were students of SMPN 3 A piece that follows the extracurricular activities amounted to 25 people. The sampling technique used is total sampling so that the sample in this study there were 25 students. From the calculation of correlation values can be seen that the large value of relationship strength arm and shoulder muscles with service accuracy on volleyball in extracurricular student at SMPN 3 Piece is 0.619 with rtabel value = 0.396, it means rhitung = 0.619> rtabel = 0.396 and it can be said that There is a significant correlation of the arm and shoulder muscle strength with service accuracy on volleyball in extracurricular student at SMPN 3 Piece. After the correlation number obtained, further testing the hypothesis by using t-test Significance formula. From the results of the calculation are known t = 3.78, while ttabel with df = n-2 = 25-2 = 23 at 95% confidence level is 1.714. Thus the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) that "there is a relationship of muscle strength of the arm and shoulder with service accuracy on volleyball in extracurricular student at SMPN 3 Piece." Abstract

Abstract: This study titled Direktive Speech Acts in the Film of the Dreamer By Andrea Hirata. This study aims to analyze the categories and meanings of in the Film Direktive Speech Acts in the Film of the Dreamer By Andrea Hirata. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The object of this research is directive speech acts. The data source that is the object of this research is a speech by a character in the film of the dreamer by Andrea Hirata.The film pemimpi is an Indonesian film released in 2009 which was adapted from the tetralogy of the novel laskar pelangi and directed by Riri Riza with producer Mira Lesmana. The film airs in cinemas in Indonesia starting December 17, 2009. The Dreamer movie is 120 minutes long. The Dreamer will be the opening film at the Jakarta International Film Festival (Jiffest) 2009 on December 4, 2009. The Dreamer is the second best-selling film in 2009 with a total audience of 1.9 million people. To obtain research data the author conducted a library data observation technique in the speech indicated to contain the category and meaning of directive speech acts. The data of this study amounted to 93 data. Abstract

Abstract: Writing skills is to measure the level of skills in writing a formal letter in the form of numbers written by the secretary of the Student Association of Language Study Program and Literature Indonesia Riau University. This study aimed to describe the ability to write a formal letter to the Student Association of Educational Studies Language and Literature Indonesia. The method used in this research is descriptive method and qualitative types. The data source of this research were 75 letters taken from the Student Association of Educational Studies Program Language and Literature Indonesia Riau University. The samples taken are 37 letters. The results of the analysis conducted that an official letter that was made by the Student Association Language Study Program and Literature Indonesia has 10 parts, namely, letterhead, dated letters, numbers, attachment, and the case or subject, destination address, salutation, letter, greeting cover , maker name letters, signatures. Component or part of this official letter plus an indicator of language (the language of the letter). Official Letter Writing Ability Secretary of the Student Association of Language Study Program and Literature Indonesia Riau University, relatively high rate capability with the average value of 86.80%. High-ability level amounted to 15 samples are samples 1, 5, 7, 8, 14, 16, 21, 22, 27, 28, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 37, and the rest of the level capable of being that is numbered 22 samples. Total average value (1) letterhead is 3.00, (2) the date of the letter amounted to 2,62, (3) number, p / subject, attachments (if any) that the average value of 2.05, ( 4) addressee average value amounted to 2.94, (5) greeting is 2.35, (6) the contents of the letter (clarity) with an average value of 4.00, and (spelling) accounted average value ratanya namely 3.46, (7) greeting cover its average value amounted to 2.00, while, (8) the name of the manufacturer's letter also amounts to the average value of the same, namely 2.00, (9) the signature average value namely 2.00, and (10) the language of letters with the average value amounted to 3.94.

Abstract

Abstrack : This study in the background backs by its low learning outcomes IPA elementary school fourth grade students 003 Lubuk Sakat Kampar district. This is evidenced from 30 students only 14 students (46,66%) were scored according minimum completeness criteria (KKM) and 16 students (53,33%) whose grades do not correspond KKM of the first semester axam results while school set KKM is 65 with an average value of 60,50. This research is classrom action research (PTK) conducted aims to improve learning outcomes IPA elementary school fourth grade students 003 Lubuk Sakat Kampar district to implement cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS). The research was conducted on 17 March 2015 through 01 April 2015 by two cycles. The subjects were fourth grade students 003 Lubuk Sakat Kampar district totaling 30 people who used the data source. Data collection instrument in this thesis is the teacher and students activity sheets as well as the achievement test. This thesis presents the results of learning derived from the value of daily test before treatment with an average of 60,50, cycle one rise on the average being 72,50. In the second cycle increased by an average of 76,83. The activities of teachers in the learning process in the first cycle of the first meeting and the second meeting 66,67%, 75% second cycle of the first meeting and the second meeting of the 87,50% increase to 91,67%. Results of the data analysis activity of students in the first cycle of the first meeting of 66,67% in the second meeting increased 70,83%. At the first meeting of the second cycle of 91,67% and in the second meeting increased to 95,83%. Research results in the fourth grade elementary school 003 lubuk sakat kampar district proves that the implementation of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) can improve learning outcomes IPA.Keyword :outcome IPA, Model Think Pair Share

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine how much the contribution of agility, and speed to dribbling skills on the futsal team SMA Al-Huda Pekanbaru. In this research, Pearson product moment correlation technique is used, namely the two intervals scale variables. The population in this study were all students who participated in futsal extracurricular activities at the SMA Al-Huda Pekanbaru, which numbered 15 people. In this research using total sampling. From the results of the calculation of the correlation between agility with the ability to herd obtained r relationship between agility to dribble futsal players SMA Al-Huda Pekanbaru. Speed has a significant relationship with the ability to dribble futsal players SMA Al-Huda Pekanbaru, marked by the results obtained are obtained rcount (0.9357)> rtable (0.525). There is a significant correlation together between agility and speed with the ability to dribble futsal players SMA Al-Huda Pekanbaru. This is indicated by the results obtained by Fcount 14.32> Ftable 3.34.Key words: Agility, Speed, Dribbling

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the restrict of mathematics learning instruments as supporting learning referring to 2013 Curriculum. This research aims to develop the RPP and LKPD of mathematics with the application of problem based learning on the subject matter of the prism and pyramid for the 8th grade students of SMP. Research development by Thiagarajan. Development is done through the following steps: (1) define; (2) design; (3) develop; and (4) disseminate. At the stage of define, the researcher conducted a needs analysis as first-end analysis, analysis characteristic of students, concept analysis, assignment analysis and learning aim specification. Furthermore gather the necessary materials to design RPP and LKPD. RPP and LKPD that had been developed then validated by 3 validator and revised based on advice from the validator. RPP and LKPD that has a valid then tested in the small group trial with subjects 10 students of class VIII-6 SMP Negeri 3 Tambang. Based on the analysis of data and discussion can be concluded that RPP and LKPD of mathematics with the application of problem based learning on the subject matter of the prism and pyramid for the 8th grade students of SMP to be valid by the average for the RPP is 3.74 and the average for LKPD is 3.44, and eligible practicalities to use students of class VIII.Keywords: RPP and LKPD of mathematics, Research and Development, Problem Based Learning, Prism and Pyramid

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to develop mathematics learning device that are Lesson Plan (LP) and Students Worksheet (SW) based curriculum 2013 on subject quadrilateral through the application of problem based learning. This research and development use development model by Borg and Gall modified by Sugiyono (2008). Development is done through the following steps: (1) potentials and problems; (2) data collection; (3) design products: (4) validation; (5) revision; (6) small group trial; (7) revision; (8) large group trial; and (9) revision. At the stage of potentials and problems, the researchers conducted a needs analysis concluded Core Competence (CC) - Basic Competence (BC) analysis, characteristics of students analysis, and materials analysis. Then, researcher collect the necessary materials to design learning device. Learning device that had been developed then validated by three validators and revised based on the input from validators. The valid learning device then tested in two stages, the small group trial with subjects are eight students of class VII-4 SMP Negeri 3 Tambang and large group trial with subjects are 29 students of class VII-4 SMP Negeri 3 Tambang. Based on the data analysis and discussion can be concluded that the mathematics learning device based curriculum 2013 on subject quadrilateral through the application of problem based learning are valid with an average value for the LP is 3.79 and the average value for SW is 3.82, and is practical to use by learners class VII.Keywords: Mathematics Learning Device, Curriculum 2013, Research and Development, Problem Based Learning, Quadrilateral

Abstract

Abstract : The problem in this research is the low student essay writing skills, as seen from the average value of students is 70,4. Of the 32 students who achieve grades above KKM only 12 students (37,5%), while students who heve not reached the KKM many as 20 students (62,5%), the value specified KKM is 75. Based on these problem s need classroom action research conducted by applying the model of contextual teaching and learning. This study aims to improve the writing skills of a simple essay third grade students of SDN 001 Teluk Beringin of school year 2014/2015 the number of students as many as 32 people consisting of 19 male students and 13 female students. This research was conducted by three cycles. At each cycle I,II, and III consist of two face to face meetings and one daily test at the end of the cycle. With the applied model of contextual teaching and learning can improve essay writing skills, it can be seen fron the increase of students writing skills base score is the average of 70,4 increased by 2,9 % to 72,5 in the first cycle, and the cycle II increased by 7,9% to 76, and the third cycle increased by 17,7% to 82,9. The percentage of teachers activity also increased, as seen from the percentage of teachers in the first cycle of activity first meeting 62,5% increase at meeting the second becomes 68,75%, on the second cycle increased in the first meeting , namely 75 % and increased in the second meeting to 81,25%, and rose again on the third cycle of the first meeting be 87,5%, and increased in the second meeting to 93,75%. The percentage of student activity also increased in the first cycle the first meeting 62,5% increase to 68,75% in the second meeting, on the second cycle increased in the first meeting 75%, and increased in the second meeting of 81,25%, in the third cycle increased in the first meeting of 87,5%, and increased in the second meeting becomes 93,75%. Based on the research results can be concluded that aplication of contextual teaching and learning models enhance the writing skills of third grade student of SDN 001 Teluk Beringin.Key word: model of contextual teaching and learning, writing skills
