Abstract

Abstrak,: The problem in this research is the lack of volleyball team of SMA Negeri 1 Payabungan ability in floating overhand serve, this research was conducted to know whether or not there is a correlation between shoulder arms muscle power with the floating overhand serve in playing volleyball in SMA Negeri 1 Panyabungan .The sample of this research is the volleyball team of SMA Negeri 1 Panyabungan which consisted of 12 persons.The outhor used total sampling technique in collecting the data. The outhor also used two-hand medicine ball put test as the instrument tomeasuring shoulder arms muscle power and two-hand medicine ball put test to measuring the ability to direct the ball towards to the goal properly. Then, the data was analyzed statistically, to test the normality at significant level 0,05α in liliefors test. The hypothesis is there is the significant correlationbetween shoulder arms muscle power with the floating overhand serve in playing volleyball in SMA Negeri 1 Panyabungan.Based on the analysis of liliefors test, Lcount (x) is 0.1743dan Ltabel 0.242, Lcount (y) is 0.1587dan Ltabel 0,242, that means Lcount < Ltabel, and therefore, the sample of the research was normal distribution population. Then based on the analysis from product moment correlation counting correlation between shoulder arms muscle power with the floating overhand serve, the writer got the mean score of shoulder arms muscle poweris 4.55 with the standard deviation 0.31, floating overhand servemean score is 18.92, standard deviation 4.40 and from the correlation analysis “r” in product moment (rxy) is rcount= 0.409. The writer concluded that was a correlation between shoulder arms muscle power with the floating overhand serve, which correlation coefficient can be seen form the correlation interpretation “r” has a mediocre correlation level with the interpretation value r 0,40 – 0,599.Key Words: Shoulder Arms Muscle Power, Floating Overhand Serve

Abstract

Abstract: This descriptive research aims to discover the ability level of the third year students of MAN 2 Pekanbaru in comprehending news item texts. The population of this research was all of the third year students of MAN 2 Pekanbaru, academic year 2019/2020. The numbers of sample were 25 students which were chosen by using cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected by means reading comprehension test in the form of multiple choices by giving 8 news item texts with 40 multiple choice items. The results of the data analysis showes that the mean of the students’ score in compreheneding news item texts is 70.88. It can be concluded that the ability of the third year students of MAN 2 Pekanbaru in comprehending news item texts is in good level. Based on the result of the students’ scores in each of reading comprehension component, the lowest component of reading comprehension is the ability in finding the meaning of vocabulary 52.00 and the highest one is the ability in finding inferences 80.00.Key Words: Study, Ability, News Item Text.

Abstract

Abstract: This research explains the form and relation, function and meaning of epistemic modality ni chigainai and hazu da,and its equivalent in Indonesian. This analysis based on the concept of modality by Heiko Narrog (2019) and Hasan Alwi (1992). The method that used in this research is descriptive method. As for the results, ni chigainai is used to state the conclusions and beliefs of the speaker to the situation that is in the first proposition, or based on strong evidence. The form of hazu da functions to state the conclusions and beliefs of the speaker based on information with a high degree of certainty or based on strong evidence. The meaning of the use of ni chigainai and hazu da is 'kepastian' with the equivalent of adverb formsaya merasa yakin, saya merasa pasti, pasti, pastinya, tentunya, tentuand niscaya, and adverb pasti, tentunya and tentu; „keharusan‟ with adverb seharusnya, semestinya,and sepatutnya in Indonesian.Key Words: modality, form and relation, function and meaning, equivalent

Abstract

Abstract This study is aimed to develop learning media by using PowToon on the subject of Hydrocarbon at SMA/MA. The result of this study is a product of learning media in the form of CD (compact disk) for Hydrocarbon subject which has contents as follows: the characteristic of carbon, alcana,alchene and alcuna, the application carbon in daily. This study used Research and Development (R&D) method with ADDIE model which has five stages of development; they are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The development model was modified by the writer only until the development stage. The result of validation test showed that learning media on the subject of Hydrocarbon is valid with the result of validation by media experts and material experts 89,63%, so the developed learning media is properly used on the learning and teaching process. The result of the development has been limited test on 22 students and then 2 chemistry teacher in senior high school average score percentase obtained by 89,63%Key Words : Development of learning media, PowToon, Hydrocarbon

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to find out the improveret of student achievement of applying quartet card game media on chemical bonding subject in class X MIA at SMA PGRI Pekanbaru . Type of this research is experimental by Randomized Control group pretest-posttest Design. The population is all class X MIA SMA PGRI Pekanbaru that consists of 2 classes. Sample in this research consisted of two grade obtained after the test of normality and homogeneity, are class X MIA1 and X MIA2. The experimental class was applied with quartet card game media and control class by traditional learning. The data was analysed using test Mann-Whitney U with significance level (α=0,05) and dk =50. Based on the analysis and processing of data obtained zcount>ztable is 2.09>1.96, this mean that the application of the media quartet card game can improve the student learning Achievement on the subject of Chemical bonding in the of X class of MIA SMA PGRI Pekanbaru.Key words : Learning Achievement , Media Quartet Card game, Chemical bonding

Abstract

Abstract: This research’s goal is to know the meaning of kaomoji in social media especially facebook. This research object are members of facebook group which uses kaomoji in post or comments whose data a sentence use of kaomoji. This research used descriptive and qualitative approach to analyze object based on theories used. The research datas taken by read post or comments facebook groupst. Author use politeness strategies theory by Charles Sander Peierce. This research result show the meaning of kaomoji at social media has the function confirmation and subtitute the verbal element in sentence. This research could be the basis for further studies involving more subjects to ensure the generalizability of the results.Keywords: kaomoji, semantic, social media

Abstract

Abstract : The problem in this research is still lack of strength of arm and shoulder muscles when making a stroke, as a result a ball (cock) can not pass through the net in the Junior male athlete of PB club Tualang, Siak. Based on these problems, the researcher provided the exercise of Dumbell Raise Forward for 18 x meeting. The research aims to determine whether there is influence between Forward Raise Dumbell exercises through the strength of arm and shoulder muscle of athletes PB club Junior Tualang Siak, hence when making a strike, it might get the maximum result. The model of this research is the treatment trial (Experiment Research), with a population of it was PB club Junior athletes Tualang Siak, the data in this study was the entire population of 6 people. The instruments used in this research was Expanding Dynamometer test that aimed to measure the strength of the arm and shoulder muscles. After that, it was analyzed by the statistic data, to test for normality with lilifors test at significant level α (0.05). The hypothesis proposed there was the effect of exercise Dumbell Raise Forward to the strength of the arm and shoulder muscles. Based on the analysis of statistic data, there was an average of the pre-test which was 16.3 and the average post-test for T20,5, then the data was normal with an increase of 4.2. Based on T test analysis produced Tcount 13,45 and Ttable 1,943, it means Tcount > Ttabel. In conclusion, there is effect of Forward Raise Dumbell Exercise on the arm and shoulder muscle strength at athletes of PB Junior Male Club Tualang, Siak Regency.Keyword : Forward Raise Dumbell, Arm and Shoulder Muscle Strength.

Abstract

Abstract: This study is aimed to find out the correlation between students’ interest and their English learning achievement at SMA Negeri Ujungbatu. The problem needs to be discussed in this research is: is there any correlation between students’ interest and their English learning achievement at SMA Negeri Ujungbatu. The population of this research was the first grade students of SMA Negeri Ujungbatu which was 527 students. The writer used random sampling technique to choose the sample. There were 263 students chosen as the samples of this research. The instruments of the research were questionnaire which was related to the students’ interest in learning English and documentation of their English learning achievement which assessed by using Product Moment’s formula that were analyzed by using SPSS 17.0 statistics program. Based on the Product Moment test, it shows that there is significant and positive correlation between students’ interest and their English learning achievement of the first grade students at SMA Negeri Ujungbatu indicating a high correlation. Therefore, it answered the research question that there is a correlation between students’ interest and their English learning achievement. This study suggests the students to build more interest in learning English because interest and learning achievement has a positive relationship, the teachers to make the English lesson more interesting because it can influence students’ interest while studying English and other researchers to conduct a specific language skill because this research refers to some skills in English.Key words: Correlation, interest, english learning achievement

Abstract

ABSTRACT, research problem is the low ability athletes smash Students SMAN 5 Ketamputih District of Bengkalis that are not exactly on target and often out of the table. To view the possible factors that predicted low capacity explosive power smash arm muscles and hand-eye coordination, then conducted a study that aims to determine how much contribution the explosive power arm muscles and hand-eye coordination to the accuracy of table tennis athletes smash Students SMAN 5 Ketamputih Subdistrict Bengkalis. This type of research is correlational. The population is all table tennis athletes Students SMAN 5 Ketamputih Bengkalis District of active practice and samples were taken with total sampling technique with a number of 15 athletes. Data was collected using measurment against three variables. For suspended explosive power arm muscles using the medicine ball test, using a hand-eye coordination test caught throwing a tennis ball against the wall, and accuracy using test accuracy smash smash fore hand and backand. Data analysis technique used is the product moment correlation and multiple correlation. The result showed that there are 1) contribution to the arm muscle explosive power smash accuracy, with a correlation coefficient of 0.753 rhitung> rtabel 0.514 and the value of determination of 0.567 means explosive power arm muscles contribute 56.70% to smash accuracy, 2) there is a contribution of coordination eyes hand to smash accuracy rhitung 0.809> 0.514 rtabel and the value of determination of 0.6545 means that the hand-eye coordination contributed 65.45% to the accuracy smash, 3) explosive power and hand-eye coordination made to contribute to the accuracy and value of 0,82 smash determination and Fhitung 11.33 0.6724> 3.88 Ftabel hand-eye coordination means to contribute to smash 67.24% accuracy. It is suggested to related parties such as coaches, athletes, and official attention to these two factors so that the precision of the athletes smash Students SMAN 5 Ketamputih District of Bengkalis can be improved.Keywords : Explosive Power of the arm and shoulder muscles, Smash, Table Tennis

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the increase in the ability to speak in children aged 5-6 years through storytelling with the big book in kindergarten Bed / ABA 005 Kuok District of Kampar regency. This study is je nis studies using action research or (PTK) is conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action planning, observation / evaluation and reflection. Subject empirically n are children in group B which has 15 children in kindergarten Melati. The research data obtained through observation and data analysis was done by using quantitative descriptive analysis. The research shows that the method of storytelling with a big book can improve the ability to speak in children ages 5 -6 years. It can be seen from the increase in the average percentage of the ability to speak children in the first cycle by 53.7% which is the criteria began to develop (MB) and increased by 50, 2% in the second cycle be 80.7% which is very good at developing criteria (BSB). Thus, the method storytelling with big media book can improve listening skills of children ages 5 -6 years in kindergarten Bed / ABA 005 Kuok District of Kampar regency.Keywords : Speech, Storytelling Method with Media Big Book
