Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of Learning in Cooperative Learning of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). This type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class VIII3 SMP Negeri 32 Pekanbaru in the second semester of the 2016/2017 academic year with the subject of as many as 39 students.. The research instrument consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning device used in this research is the Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Worksheet. The instrument data collector used in this research is the observation sheet and math achievement test. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the result of the research showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvement after reflection cycle I. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to daily test II. The number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic scor, daily test I and daily test II are respectively 15 person (38,46%), 20 person (51,28%) and 27 person (69,23%). Results of this research indicates that application of Learning in Cooperative Learning of TSTS can improve learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes from the students at class VIII3 SMP Negeri 32 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2016/2017 at Basic Competencies 4.3 Using the relationship of center angular, arc length, wide arc in solving problems, and Basic Competencies 4.4 Calculate the length of the tangent of two circle alliance.Keywords: Cooperative learning, Cooperative Learning of TSTS, student’s mathematics learning outcomes, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was develop module based on problem solving in colloid of chemistry in senior high school subject in terms of valid based on the content properness, serve, language, and graphic. The type of this research was research and development (R&D) with development process of 4-D model which include Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. This research was to develop phase. The object of this research was the module based on problem solving. The data analysis technique used for this research done by calculated the percentage of validation value. Instrument of data collection was validation sheet given by three validators. The average score of valuation to four expediency aspect by validator’s team such us content properness, serve, language, and graphic has expediency value continued 92,78%, 93,75%, 98,33%, and 97,50%. Thus, the average score tatality of module based on problem solving in colloid subject is 95,59% which is in valid criteria. Based on results of data analysis can be concluded that module based on problem solving has been valid and can be used in colloid of chemistry in senior high school subject.Key Words: Module, Problem Solving, and Colloid.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of the obstacle game towards gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in TK Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru. Research using experimental method with pretest posttest control group design. Population in this study were children aged 5-6 years, amounting to 90 children and the sample used in this study were 30 children divided into two classes, experimental class and control class. The data collection technique used is observation. Technique of data analysis using t-test by using program of SPSS 20. The research hypothesis that there is the effect of obstacle game towards gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in TK Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru. Based on data analysis known tcount = 19,778> t table = 2.086 with Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000. because Sig <0,05 can be concluded that there is difference in gross motor skills before and after the use of obstacle game. Can be interpreted that there is effect of obstacle game towards gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in TK Negeri Pembina 3 Pekanbaru which significant equal 68.36%Keywords: Gross Motor Skills, Obstacle Game

Abstract

Abstract: This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of IPS whose average grade is still at 67.50, while the final grade applied in grade IV of elementary school 6 Kadur is 65. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, this research held in even semester 2016/2017. Subjects of this study amounted to 25 people. Out of 25 students, 11 people are completed and 14 are not yet completed. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of IPS students of fourth grade elementary school 6 Kadur by applying the guided Inquiry learning approach. Guided Inquiry Learning approach is a learning approach that encourages students to discover the concepts or essence of learning. Instrument of this research consists of learning device and instrument of data collecting in the form of observation sheet and test question. The study was conducted from March 2016 to May 2017. The research data were analyzed by using MS. Excel including teacher activity data and student activity and improvement of student learning outcomes. Data analysis of teacher activity and student activity is based on observations made by the observer during the course of action. While the data analysis of student learning outcomes done after the implementation of daily test cycle I and cycle II. Based on the result of observation of teacher activity and student activity happened improvement as follows: teacher activity in cycle I only reach 70,83%, in cycle II increase become 91,67% while in student activity in cycle I only 66,67%, at cycle II increased to 95.83%. Analysis of student learning result data shows improvement as follows, improvement of mastery learning on base score only 11 people, in cycle II all student complete. Increased completeness caused by the increase in the average score of student learning outcomes from 65.20 in the initial score increased to 76.80 at the end of cycle II. This shows that the application of Inquiry learning approach can improve the learning result of IPS of fourth grade students of elementary school 6 Kadur.Keywords: Guided Inquiry Approach, IPS Study Results

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed to find out the ability of the third semester students of English study program of FKIP of Riau University in comprehending the Ernest Hemingway “soldier home” short story. The researcher used cluster random sampling technique to determine the sample. The samples were 35 students. The study was used to find out the ability in five elements of fictions such as subject, events, setting, character and moral value. Multiple choice was used to gain the data with the number of tests is 20 questions. The result of the study revealed that the total mean score was 63.71 which indicated students were in good level of ability. The highest score with the mean score 77 was in the subject, it is in good level. Whereas, the lowest score with the mean score 34.28 was in the moral value, it is in poor level of ability.Keywords: Students’ ability, Literature, Short Story

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between shoulder arm muscle strength and back muscle flexibility on javelin throwing ability in PPLP athletes Putra Dispora Riau. The sample from this study were 6 javelin throwing athletes. The sampling technique was taken (total sampling) or full sampling technique in PPLP Putra Dispora Riau javelin throwing athletes, amounting to 6 people. The results of the correlation in PPLP Putra Dispora Riau javelin athlete where the first analysis between shoulder arm strength X1 and Y where rtab at a significant level É‘ (0.05) = r_count (0.984) <r_tab (0.878), means the hypothesis is accepted and there is a moderate relationship between shoulder arm strength to javelin throwing ability at PPLP athletes Putra Dispora Riau. From the calculation of the analysis of both X2 and Y, where r_tab is at a significant level É‘ (0.05) = r_count (0.984) <r_tab (0.878), it means that the hypothesis is accepted and there is a moderate relationship between back muscle flexibility to javelin throwing ability at PPLP Putra Dispora Riau . The third analysis of the relationship of shoulder arm muscle strength (X1) back muscle flexibility (X2) with javelin throwing ability (Y) where rtab at a significant level É‘ (0.05) = r_count (0.984) <r_tab (0.878), it can be concluded that the relationship between ( X1) and (X2) with (Y) or the relation of shoulder arm muscle strength and back muscle flexibility to javelin throwing ability in PPLP Putra Dispora Riau athletes on moderate intervention.Key Words: Shoulder Arm Muscle Strength, Flexibility and Throwing.

Abstrack: This research aim to know and analyse monetary perfomance of Co-Operation Woman Pesona Marta(KOPWAPETA) Pekanbaru City if seen from his monetary ratio of year 2010,2011,2012,2013 and 2014. This research place is executed in Co-Operation environment Woman Pesona Marta (KOPWAPETA) Pekanbaru City. This Research is started from February up to November month 2016. As for research type quantitatif and qualytatif descriptitive research that is explaining result of research which in the form of coresponding financial statement file to monetary performance of co-operation. Source of data of this research is obtained file of responbility reporting official member of Co-Operation Woman Pesona Marta (KOPWAPETA) Pekanbaru City of year 2010 until year 2014. As for used file collecting technique that is with study method of documentation. Result of research indicate that monetary performance of Co-Operation Woman Pesona Marta (KOPWAPETA) of year 2010 until year 2014 have goodness. This matter because of condition of Ratio Likuditas, Solvency Ratio and Ratio Profitability which consist of Net Profit Margin (NPM) and of Return On Investment (ROI) continue to experience of the make-up of from year of to year.Keywords : Monetary Performance, Ratio of Likuiditas, Solvency Ratio, and RatioProtability.

Abstract

Abstract: The low socio-economic conditions of the community that are identical to many school-age students who drop out of school, so that the package C program, which is equivalent to SMA/MA, is one solution and the motivation for learning citizens is needed. The purpose of the study: to find out how high the learning motivation of the students in participating in the package C program in Pelita Riau PKBM and to determine the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that most influence the learning motivation. Research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population of the C package learning population was 73 people and then Simple Random Sampling technique, so the samples is 42 respondents. The instrument used was a learning motivation questionnaire containing 33 statements. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The learning motivation of package C residents in Pelita Riau PKBM was obtained with a high mean of 3,84. The motivation to learn package C learning citizens in Pelita Riau PKBM is most dominantly influenced by extrinsic factors with a mean of 3,87 which is high and has a contribution of 53,87%, meaning that appreciation, learning environment, and interesting learning activities originating from outside affect motivation residents learning package C program. While intrinsic factors with mean 3,53 which are classified as being also influential with a contribution of 40,63%, meaning desire, expectations/ideals and learning needs originating from within the learning population affect motivation learn the C learning package citizens.Key Words: Learning Motivation, Learning Citizens, Package C Program

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental research is aimed to find out whether there is a significant effect of students’ speaking ability after using Role Play technique in teaching speaking at the first year students of SMP Negeri 9 Bintan. The research problem is: Can the application of role play technique improve the speaking ability of the first year students of SMP Negeri 9 Bintan?. The design of the research was one group pretest-posttest design and the research was conducted at SMP Negeri 9 Bintan. Cluster random sampling method was used to select one class of students to become the sample. As a result, 34 students of class VIIB at the first semester of academic year 2016/2017 were chosen as the samples. The steps applied in using role play technique are: (1) The teacher introduced the activity by explaining the material, making sure that all the students understand it (2) Teacher and students discussed about relevant  vocabulary, sentences, or dialogues based on the material (3) Students were divided into groups (4) The teacher gave role card for each students to act out (5) The students familiarize themselves with their roles in a few minutes (6) Students constructed the dialogue based on their roles with their friends and practiced their own dialogue in a few minutes to familiarize them with the language (7) Teachers let the students act out the role play and exchanged their roles without interrupting or correcting (8) Teacher evaluated and checked students’ comprehension. The instrument used was a speaking test and the obtained data was analyzed by using SPSS version 21.0 for Windows. The results of data analysis are t-test (17.16) was higher than t-table (2.042). This indicates that there is a significant effect of students’ speaking ability after being taught using Role Play technique in teaching speaking.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is to improve the ability to talk about the child to communicate smoothly as the recounts, the child may not be able to speak with their own words, children are not able to express a desire to speak a simple sentence, the child has not been able to answer questions from the teacher until the author try to use the media in a way that pulling the puppet in an effort to improve speaking skills of children aged 4-5 years through the use of puppets. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted by two cycles, each cycle consisting of the stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. Sheets based on observation of the child candy 58 in 2009. The number of subjects in this study were 10 children ranging from 5 boys and 5 girls. The collection of data on research carried out in the second semester of the year 2015/2016, through the instrument of data collection in the form of sheets observation teachers and observation of the child. Data taken from the results of the evaluation at the end of each cycle. The study involved a man peers as observers. Based on the data obtained and the percentage of the first cycle is 25% and the percentage of the second cycle was 96%, thus it can be concluded through storytelling can enhance speech-age children 4-5 years in early PAUD Tasa Chantika Desa Kubang Jaya Kecamatan Siak Hulu District Kampar.Key Words: Speech, The Story
