Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the phenomenon of code switching in a novel titled NY Over Heels written by Dy Lunaly (2003). The researcher used a study document as the way to collect the data and The research design of this research was a library study with qualitative research. A Study document is getting the data about a case or variable from note, book, magazine, novel, etc (Arikunto, 1990). The key instrument of this research is the researcher herself. Based on the research that had been done, the research comes to some conclusions. Firstly, As the result, there are 87 data that have been found by the researcher. The data showed that Emblematic or tag switching is about 8.04% from 87 data. Intra-sentential is about 37.93% from 87 data. Inter-sentential is about 54.02% from 87 data. The dominant type of code switching found in the novel is inter-sentential from 28 chapters. Secondly, Besides the type of code switching, it was found that the reasons why the characters in the novel use code switching. From seven reasons that Hoffman (1991) states, there are six reasons have been found from the 87 data code switching from the novel that researcher classify. The data showed that expressing group identity is 28 times or 32.18%. Talking about particular topic is 19 times or 21.83%. Emphatic is 12 times or 13.79%. The repetition used for clarification is 5 times or 5.74%. Intention of clarifying the speech content for interlocutor is 1 time or 1.14%. And the last Interjection is 22 times or 25.28%. In this section of the reason of code-switching is the highest calculation has found is expressing group identity is 28 times from 28 chapters.Key Word: Code-Switching, The Novel Dy Lunaly.

Abstract

Based on observations and direct interviews conducted by researchers at SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu, it was found that the physical fitness level of SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu students was still very low. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of physical fitness of students of SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu. The population of this study were 20 students of class X1 SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu. This study uses a total sampling technique where the entire population is used as a sample. Based on the above sample determination, a sample of 20 people was obtained. The data obtained were compared with physical fitness norms. Based on the research results it can be concluded that: The physical fitness of male students is still in the moderate category. This is evidenced by the highest average score of the male students' physical fitness test of SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu which is 17.33 = 17. This shows that the physical fitness level of male students of SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu is still in the Medium category. This is because the value of 14-17 is classified as moderate. The physical fitness of female students is still in the medium category. This is evidenced by the highest average value of the physical fitness level test for female students of SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu, namely 15.6 = 16. This shows that the physical fitness level of female students of SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu is still in the Medium category. Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the effect of mung bean extract on the quality of Nata de cassava and poster design of biotechnology subject matter at the XII grade high school level in June-August 2020. This research was conducted in 2 stages, namely the experimental stage: the effect of giving mung bean extract to the quality of Nata de Cassava and the second stage of poster design: analysis of the potential development of biotechnology teaching materials for class XII high school level. This study used an experimental method by conducting experiments at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Pekanbaru. Sampling was carried out with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The parameters in this study were thickness analysis and acidity (pH) analysis. Based on the results of the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at the 5% level, giving green bean extract showed a significant effect on the quality of Nata de cassava. Giving green bean extract of 600 ml gives an increase in the quality of the best Nata de cassava and based on the analysis of the potential research results can be used as a poster design for class XII high school level biotechnology material.Key Words: Quality Nata de Cassava, Poster design, Mung bean extract

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to explain the correlation between reading interest and Dokkai ability. This research activity conducted at Japanese Language Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau in the even semester in academic year 2020/2021. This research belonged to correlational research with a quantitative approach. The sample was the sixth-semester students of Japanese Language Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau with the total number of sample was 34 students. The sample selected by using the census method. The instrument was a reading interest questionnaire and a Dokkai ability test. IBM SPSS 25.0 used to process the data. The data analyzed by using Pearsons' correlation analysis technique and regression analysis technique. The result of data analysis concluded that there was a positive and significant correlation between reading interest and Dokkai ability of sixth-semester students of Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau with the percentage was 15 percent.Key Words: Reading Interest, Japanese Language, Dokkai Ability

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of class X students at SMA 3 Rambah Hilir. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is an effect of the use of the Means Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model on the learning outcomes of PPKn class X SMA 3 Rambah Hilir students. This study aims to determine the effect of using the Mean End Analysis (MEA) learning model on the learning outcomes of class X PPKn in SMA 3 Rambah Hilir. This research method is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study were students of class X SMA 3 Rambah Hilir. The sampling technique used in this research was random sampling, where the classes taken in the study were X IPS 1 as the experimental class and X IPS 2 as the control class. Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was an effect of learning outcomes between students using the Mean End Analysis (MEA) model and conventional methods at SMA 3 Rambah Hilir. This can be seen from the results showing t count> t table or <t table (4.12> 2 , 01290) thus there is an effect of the Mean End Analysis (MEA) learning model on the learning outcomes of class X PPKn in SMA 3 Rambah Hilir. The amount of influence after being calculated by the gain test shows that the Mean End Analysis (MEA) learning model has an effect on learning outcomes of 0.16 which means it is in the "moderate" category where there is an increase in the average PPKn learning outcomes of the experimental class to 79.6 and an increase in the average. -the average learning outcomes of the control class became 57.11. It can be concluded that the use of the Mean End Analysis (MEA) learning model has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes in the subject of PPKn class X SMA 3 Rambah Hilir.Key Words: Mean End Analysis (MEA), Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine adolescent perceptions of early marriage in Tanjung Sari Village, Kuala Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. The population in this study were 50 adolescents. So the sample of this study was 44 people and 20 adolescents who were taken from Penyasawan Village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency for the trial sample with a critical level of 5%, the sample used was simple random sampling. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire with 40 statements and after the trial there were only 37 valid statements to be used as a research instrument. From the research findings on the four indicators, it can be concluded that these indicators are classified as good. This is evidenced by the presentation of recapitulation of adolescent perceptions of early marriage in Tanjung Sari Village, Kuala Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, indicators; (1) physical and psychological aspects with a mean value of 4.42 and a standard deviation of 0.63 which is classified as high, (2) the economic aspects of the mean value of 4.52 and standard deviation of 0.58, and (3) social aspects of the value of Mean 4 , 45 and Standard Deviation 0.60, (4) aspects of education with a mean value of 4.46 and a standard deviation of 0.64. Youth perceptions of early marriage in Tanjung Sari Village, Kuala Cenaku District, Indragiri Hulu Regency are high. This means that adolescents have a good understanding of early marriage.Key Words : Perception, Early Marriage, Youth

Abstract: The formulation of the problem in this research is how high is the social support of the village apparatus in the development of the brilliant star library in Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency, How high is the responsibility of the village apparatus in developing a bright star library in West Maredan Village and knowing the positive and significant influence between social support and responsibility of village apparatus in the development of the Bintang Cemerlang Library, Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency. The purpose of this study is, To determine and analyze the level of social support of village officials in developing bright star libraries in Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency the responsibility of village apparatus in the development of the brilliant star library in Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency, and to find out how much influence social support has on responsibility. awab village officials in the development of the brilliant star library in Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District, Siak. Districts. This research is ex-post facto, which is a type of research in which the independent variable is an event that has already occurred. The approach in this research is a quantitative approach, namely research in which the data obtained is related to numbers that lead to the use of statistical analysis techniques. The number of samples in this study were 49 people. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of social support on the responsibility of village officials in the development of the brilliant star library, so there is a significant influence between the social support variable (X) on the responsibility (Y) of the library manager. Village apparatus in the development of the Bintang Cemerlang Library, Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency, the influence of which is 27.70% with a low interpretation, because 72.30% is still determined by other factors that are not part of this research.Key words: The infuence of social support, the responsibility of village officials in thedevelopment of the brilliant star library

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the impact of the oil palm plantations on the education level of the community in Sumber Jaya Village. The research population is people who have oil palm plantations (farmers) and live in Sumber Jaya Village, amounting to 166 people. The sample was determined by using purposive sampling technique, so that a sample of 117 people who met the criteria was obtained. The data collected consisted of land area, educational level of children produced by farmers, expenditure and income of farmers using questionnaires and documentation. The data collected were analyzed by finding the development of oil palm plantations. Have the impact of chi square analysis. Research result on the level of education. Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to find out students’ difficulties in understanding descriptive texts at the second year of SMAN 3 Langgam. This is descriptive quantitative research. The population of this research was the whole students of the second year of SMAN 3 Langgam. The sample of this research was 34 students of XI IIS 1 class who have been selected by using the cluster-random-sampling technique. The data were collected by using tests and questionnaires. The test consisted of 40 questions and the questionnaire consisted of 25 questions. The findings of this study based on the percentage of incorrect answers of reading test showed that there are eight components of reading comprehension. Six of them were categorized high level as difficult question aspects for the students. There were difficulties in identifying vocabulary, generic structure, factual information, reference, language features, and social function. Two of them were categorized medium level as a not difficult question. There was difficulty in identifying the main idea and inference. Based on the result of the questionnaire, the students felt difficulties in understanding descriptive texts because of internal and external factors. There was limited vocabulary knowledge, weak verbal reasoning, problems with recalling information, difficulty understand the text because of the level of the text, lack of familiarity with the subject matter, lack of fluency in reading, problems with processing information after reading, and inadequate use of reading strategies in the teaching and learning process.Key Words: Analysis, Students’ Difficulties, Reading, Descriptive Text.

Abstract

Abstract: This study tried to determine the growth of bacteria Bacillus cereus Strain IMB-10 at different pH concentrations in degrading diesel fuel as a poster’s media design for Biology subject in high school. Research was carried out in FKIP PMIPA laboratory, Riau University. As for the TPH testing, it was conducted in the solid waste laboratory and B3 Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Bandung Institute of Teknology. This research was conducted in 2 stages, namely research on the growth of the bacteria Bacillus cereus Strain IMB-10 at different pH in degrading diesel fuel and the stage of potential analysis and design of poster as a learning media from the research results. This research was conducted in November 2019 - June 2020. The study was designed with a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 3 replication groups. The media used were SMSS media with the addition of variations in pH 6.5, pH 7.0, pH 7.5, which added 5% diesel fuel and the bacteria Bacillus cereus strain IMB-10. The test parameter was the OD growth of Bacillus cereus bacteria Strain IMB-10 which was seen using a spectrophotometer for 6 days measuring. Meanwhile in measuring the degradation rate (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon) TPH of diesel fuel the Gravimetric method used. Based on the research, it was found that pH 7.0 was the best pH for the growth of Bacillus cereus bacteria Strain IMB-10 with a bacterial growth OD of 5.8 A on day 5 and a degradation rate of diesel fuel of 26.95%. Based on the analysis of the potential results of experimental research, it can be used as a learning media design for Biology posters on bacteria theory in class X Senior High School.
