Squash is a sport that requires high technicalskills and adequate physical support. This study uses a descriptive method with acorrelational approach to measure and analyze relationships between variables. Thepopulation in this study was Riau male squash athletes totaling 20 people, with aresearch sample of 7 athletes selected by purposive sampling based on certain criteria. Research instruments include reaction tests using the Whole Body Reaction Test, eye-hand coordination tests with Catch Ball Throws, and concentration tests using the Grid Concentration Test. In addition, the accuracy of the drive stroke is measured through a validated squash playing skill test. The data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation with a significance level of 0.05.The results showed a significant relationship between reaction, coordination, and concentration on the accuracy of the hit drive in a squash game. Quick reactions, good eye-hand coordination, and high concentration contribute positively to the athlete's ability to execute precise drive strokes. This research is expected to contribute to the field of squash coaching, especially in improving the skills and achievements of athletes through more focused training program.Key Words: Reaction, Coordination, Concentration, Precision Punch Drive, Squash

The writer used clusterrandom sampling technique to determine the sample. The samples were 23 students. The instrument was a test which consisted of 50 items. The frame of the test consist of knowledge test by using cassete and sound system. The student will listed to 50 sections, each section contains two-syllable English words. The findings show that the ability in pronouncing two-syllable English words of eight grade students of SMPN 1 Kampar, the students’ ability is on the good level with 68 percentage. But if we look at the schools minimum passing criteria with 80 score only 30% students who can pass it. This is a very bad condition because if less than 50% students can reach the minimum passing criteria then learning can be said unsuccessful. This is caused by the lack of listening and pronunciation practice carried out at school. However, the students are suggested to engage in additional practice and exercises in order to enhance their ability to speak with proper pronunciation. Furthermore, the teachers are expected to be able to provide better teaching and learning to improve students’ pronounciation abilities.Key Words: Discovering, Pronounciation Ability, Two-Syllable Words

Abstract

AbstractThe use of Japanese particles remains a challenge for students, as they oftenstruggle to distinguish particle functions, determine their correct positions withinsentences, and maintain focus during learning activities. Therefore, a wordarrangement game was implemented in the learning process. This study aims toexamine the effectiveness of the word arrangement game in improving students’mastery of basic Japanese particles. The research employed a quantitativeapproach with a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group designinvolving 62 eleventh-grade students of MAN 2 Pekanbaru, divided intoexperimental and control classes. The research instruments consisted of pretestand posttest items totaling 30 questions, analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilknormality test, homogeneity test, independent t-test, and Mann–Whitney U test. The results showed that the experimental class obtained a higher posttest meanscore (72.19) than the control class (56.77), with a significance value of 0.001(<0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that the word arrangement game is effective inenhancing students’ mastery of Japanese particles, although their overall achievement remains in the low category. The particles most frequently used in students’ constructed sentences were wa, o, no, and de.Keywords:Japanese particles, wordarrangement game, languagelearning.
