Abstract

Quest Hotel previously has not been taking any measurements of energy use that they use for this both in terms of management and technology side. Therefore, this new hotel is relatively have new target for measuring their energy use. After measuring the energy use, it is detected that the use of energy in the Hotel Quest indicate a waste of energy. The benchmark standard of the measurement calculation is IKE or Intensity of Energy Consumption. The proposal will be concentrated in energy saving in the form of replacement lamps, replacement refrigerator until replacement actuator is an effort made to save energy.

Abstract

The design of HIRARC is used to analyze Occupational Safety and Health at PT X. The stages used in this design by identifying hazards in the Production Department, hazard identification is carried out by field observations and interviews with operators. The next stage with risk assessment, from the results of the risk assessment the highest potential hazard values are the dangers of dust, noise hazards, and fire hazards with significant values I and II which can be classified in the medium and high risk. Control of these hazards is the making of sanctions regulations on workers who do not use personal protective equipment, make a schedule for checking machines, socialize to workers.

Abstract

PT XYZ is one of the company that produce heat exchanger in Indonesia. The Company developing a new production line for a new product, which is ECOSS product. The Company demanding an effective and efficient process of ECOSS production line design. The design analyse production line with line balancing method. Line balancing analysis purposed for balancing the production line, also increase the production output and minimalize labor cost. Line balancing done by optimizing amount of labor. The improvement design can increase production output and lower the labor cost. Production output per month increased by 101.4% and labor cost lowered to Rp 1,382,320/product from the initial labor cost Rp 1,988,614/product.

Abstract

PT. SPINDO unit 1 is one of the big and famous company which produces steel pipe. Nowadays, PT. SPINDO 1 is willing to design health and management system (SMK 3) because of the high rate of the workplace accident for the year of 2013 that is 93 cases. Besides that, government rules stated that every company shall ensure the health and work safety of their employees within the scope of company or working area.The health and management system (SMK 3) design by PT. SPINDO appropriates with the actual conditions of the company and covers the HIRARC documents. Finally the result of the SMK 3 reached 62.69% which can be said “Good” according to the Government Regulation (PP) no 50 of 2012.

Abstract

This study focuses on factors which influenced the implementation of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) at Food, Beverage and Herbal Small Medium Enterprise (SME) in Surabaya. The study also focuses on the effect of the implementation of AMT on the SME performance. Previous research shows that there are several factors that affect the implementation of AMT in SME, such are characteristics of the organization, monitoring and strategic alliances. This study was viewed from the owner of the SME food, beverage and herbs in Surabaya. The numbers of respondents of this study are 63 respondents. Tests and analyzes were performed using SmartPls program. The analysis shows that the characteristics of the organization, monitoring and strategic alliances affect the implementation of AMT. The results of the analysis also showed that the implementation of the AMT affects the performance of SME.

Abstract

PT Y merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang memproduksi keramik. PT Y memiliki target yaitu 100% untuk kualitas A pada keramik lantai berjenis Murano tetapi hasil produksi yang telah dicapai rata-rata hanya mencapai 93% dengan nilai sigma quality level sebesar 3,523 sehingga masih jauh untuk mencapai nilai tingkat sigma tertinggi yaitu 6 sigma. Upaya peningkatan kualitas dilakukan dengan mengikuti fase DMAIC serta menggunakan pareto chart dan fishbone diagram untuk menganalisa akar  dan peyebab masalah. Hasil analisa menunjukkan terdapat tiga kecacatan utama pada lantai produksi yaitu gupil, retak, dan perubahan ukuran. Faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya kecacatan adalah man, machine, dan material. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan penyuluhan, instruksi kerja, form pengecekan kepada pekerja, dan membuat rancangan quality plan.

Abstract

PT X is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of cosmetics. Afvals in PT X are production leftovers from the company’s primary products, such as bottle, compact, pot, cap, and lipstick. The afvals are differentiated into four categories: A, B, C, and D. Afvals “A” (class I afval) are clean and not contaminated by other materials such as dust, dirt, and oil. Afvals “B”, “C”, and “D” (class II afval) are contaminated by those materials. Afvals “A” have higher selling price than the other types of afvals. The purpose of this research is to increase the amount of afvals “A” by reducing the amount of class II afval. This research was done by doing some observation in the production line that produce afvals and using five whys method to analyze the source of afval. The improvements were made by using 5W 2H technique. The improvement that already implemented was sorting the decorated and plain products in the assembly area, by assembly operator. The sorting time already consider the idle time of the assembly operator. As results, afvals “A” was increase by 0.5% afvals “D” was decrease by 1.6%.

Abstract

PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) is an automotive company in Indonesia that operates as a manufacturer and exporter of Toyota products and spare parts. One of TMMIN’s export activity is Component Part Order (CPO). CPO handling is done using the help of the system, but the current system has problems, which is the occurrence of system errors. The current system is also not able to display tracking order visualization so there is often a process delay occurs in handling CPO. Analysis of the cause of process delay is done using Toyota Business Practice (TBP) and Ishikawa Diagram. Improvements made is to design a new system so that system error problems that occur in the old system can be eliminated. The system is also designed to have an order tracking function so that every process of CPO handling can be recorded in the system. Improvements to deal with CPO operational issues are also designed in the system. Goals of this improvement is to achieve a smooth and on time CPO handling. Another expected advantage of this improvement is the saving of 2244 hours / year of work time required to solve the problem.

Abstract

The study was conducted at the manufacturing company of the aluminum casting that produces hoist cyilinder and power take off. The Company was not yet fully implemented the quality management system ISO 9001:2008. Based on an initial gap analysis, it is known that the company has only implemented the quality management system requirements by 37.21%. The purpose of this study is to fill the existing gap. The research results showed that 60.46% the quality management system requirements have been met.

Abstract

PT. X is a manufacturing company produces circuit breaker products. PT. X needs to prepare the development based on the industri 4.0 era. The purpose of this research is mapping and evaluate each department to find out activities that have not and have applied the principle of industrial system 4.0, and make preparations improvements based on framework industry 4.0. The results of mapping and evaluation indicate there are five departments classified "Few Implemented Industry 4.0", three departments classified "Partially Implemented Industry 4.0", and three departments classified "fully implemented industry 4.0". Proposed problem solution carried out for MPO and MH departments process production activites. Delivering material documents problem, inaccurate data request material, and finished good shipments to Warehouse are the problems that will be analyzed. Improving the system delivery of material documents changed to digitalization, which before done manually sent the documents, changed using e-mail. The financial savings obtained from proposed solution is Rp. 14,440,373 per year. Improvements also made for the delivery finished good problem, by analyzing the percentage productivity workers with work sampling method that showed 93%. The proposed solution in the delivery finished good was changed with AGV, providing financial savings until Rp. 1,005,633.00 per year per production segment.
