Abstract

Diskriminasi terhadap perempuan umumnya disebabkan budaya patriarki. Kekhawatiran tentang kondisi perempuan muncul dan diwujudkan melalui gerakan perempuan yang kemudian melahirkan konvensi internasional perlindungan hukum bagi perempuan.Salah satu konvensi tersebut adalah Konvensi tentang Penghapusan Segala Bentuk Diskriminasi terhadap Perempuan (CEDAW). CEDAW mewajibkan negara-negara yang meratifikasi untuk mengutuk segalabentuk diskriminasi dan menerapkan kebijakan yangmenghapus diskriminasi terhadap perempuan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui masalah yang dihadapi oleh pekerja Indonesia di Malaysia. Bagaimanapun,artikel ini menemukan bahwa efektivitas CEDAW yangdilihat dari tiga aspek, yaitu kewajiban, presisi, dan delegasi masih relatif rendah. Hal ini memungkinkanpelanggaran isi konvensi, Indonesia dan Malaysia masih belum mampu menyelesaikan kasus-kasus kekerasan terhadap perempuan secara efektif.Kata kunci: Diskriminasi, CEDAW, Efektifitas Perjanjian InternasionalThe discrimination of women generally due to thepatriarchal culture. Concerns about the condition ofwomen is arised and presented through the women’smovement that comes with international conventionsto establish a legal protection for women. One of theseconventions is the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).CEDAW obliges ratifying countries to condemn allforms of discrimination and implement policies thateliminate discrimination against women. This articleaimed to know the problems faced by the Indonesianworkers in Malaysia. However, this article finds thatthe effectiveness of CEDAW which is seen from threeaspects, namely obligation, precision, and delegation isrelatively low. This allows the violation of the contentsof the convention, Indonesia and Malaysia are still notable to resolve the cases of violence against women effectively.Keyword: Discrimination, CEDAW, Effectiveness of International Agreement

Abstract

Tingginya kasus Kekerasan terhadap Anak yang orangtuanya berprofesi sebagai Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) dan Kabupaten Kendal adalah salah satu kantong TKI di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas dua tahap yaitu pengumpulan data sekunder melalui BPPKB Kabupaten Kendal dan FGD dengan stakeholder terkait TKI di Kabupaten Kendal. Dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa faktor yang paling dominan berhubungan dengan kejadian kekerasan pada anak dengan orang tua berprofesi TKI adalah faktor pendapatan dan jenis pekerjaan. Pendapatan yang cukup tinggi, yang tidak diimbangi dengan pengetahuan dan kemampuan pengelolaan keuangan yang baik untuk anak dan keluarganya. Jenis pekerjaan TKI memiliki dampak negatif pada pola asuh anak, terutama karena tidak mampu memberikan pendampingan yang adekuat kepada anak-anak mereka dari pengaruh pergaulan lingkungan dan juga pengaruh tekhnologi informasi (TI).

Abstract

The objective of research was to explore the attempt the women producing batik tulis using natural colorant as the manifestation of environment care. This study was a qualitative research using explorative method taken place in Kampung Batik Laweyan and Kauman, Surakarta. The result of research showed that the emergence of stamping and printing batik led the batik tulis (written batik) to be marginalized. Many batik entrepreneurs shifted to them and only few survived with batik tulis production. The opportunity of working and applying the female batik laborers’ skill reduced. The production of stamping and printing batik using artificial colorant affected adversely the environment with its waste as the form of injustice as it contaminated the environment and marginalized the women. The spirit of ecofeminism sharing through batik tulis creation with natural colorant was the women’s attempt of working and contributing to conserve the environment. This social movement is the manifestation of women’s care about the living environment sustainability, conveying self-controlling values and controlling the passion of dominating amid industrialization, and the manifestation of sustainable development and ethical business.

Abstract

Pembangunan ekonomi berbasis manusia sebagai konsep ekonomi Islam dan penerapannya diikuti oleh kebutuhan untuk mengoptimalkan martabat kehidupan bangssa indonesia di segala bidang. Muhammad Rasulullah Saw adalah model yang tepat, selain sebagai pelaku ekonomidan manajer bisnis, beliau juga memberikan bimbingan dan arahan tentang bagaimana kegiatan ekonomi berbasis manusia. Peran perempuan dalam pembangunan bangsa tidak dapat dipisahkan dari pendidikan yang diperolehnya untuk meningkatkan akses perempuanke pasar tenaga kerja dan meningkatkan keterampilan tertentu, termasuk keahlian di bidang ekonomi dan kepemimpinan. Wikinomics adalah kekuatan baruyang menyatukan orang di internet untuk membuat otak raksasa. Dampak dari Wikinomics sendiri cukup mengesankan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana  konsep Wikinomics telah menjadi kata dalam percakapan sehari-hari. Abstract

Catatan perjalanan hidup seseorang yang terdapatdalam memoar memuat cara pandang seseorangatas peristiwa yang diceritakannnya. Memoarburuh migran perempuan mengungkapkan carapemaknaan atas persoalan mereka. Tulisan inibertujuan mengungkap struktur memoar danpenggunaannya sebagai media perlawananburuh migran perempuan. Dalam menganalisismemoar, dipergunakan pendekatan sosiologisastra. Bangunan strukur memoar terdiri dariempat pola tentang simbol sukses, naiknya statussosial, cara menghadapi dan cara memaknaipenderitaan. Bangunan inimencerminkan upayamereka dalam menghadapi penderitaan dankesuksesan sebagai situasi sosial pengarangnya.Memoar membuka penafsiran yang berbeda atasmakna hidup sukses bagi buruh migran. Memoarjuga merupakan alternatif perlawanan bagiburuh migran perempuan dalam menghadapiproblem sosial yang dihadapi yaitu menegasikisah hidup sukses buruh migran yang tumbuhdan berkembang dalam budaya lisan.Kata kunci: Buruh migran , narasi memoar,pengalaman perempuanThe journey note of life of a person in the memoirscontains a person’s perspective on the events she/he told.The memoirs ofwomen migrant workers reveals waysto interpret their problems. This paper aims to revealthe structure of memoirs and their use as a resistancemedia for women migrant workers. In analyzingthe memoirs, the sociology of literature is used. Thememoirs building structure consists of four patternsi.e. the symbol of success, the rising of social status,how to deal with and how to interpret suffering. Thisbuilding reflects their efforts in dealing with sufferingand success as the author’s social situation. Memoirsopen up different interpretations of the meaning ofsuccessful life for migrant workers. Memoir sare alsoan alternative to resistance for women migrant workersin dealing with social problems faced. Memoirs arean alternative to the resistance of women migrantworkers. Abstract

Culture is the result of the construction of society through ideas and norms, which are reciprocal with public social life. Plural community life certainly creates its own challenges because it is vulnerable to conflict. This paper’s aim is to determine the differences in gender roles in Reog art and the valuescontained in. Gender differences in their identities and roles both naturally and as result of social construction often arise conflicts within them. One feels as a passive and subordinating, while other as an active and dominating. This dichotomy of roles, traits, and positions between men and women born by the concept of gender causes its own stereotypes, so that misunderstandings and conflicts arise between one and another. The art of Reog Ponorogo essentially internalizes the values of peace as an effort to cultivate spirit of peace and mutual tolerance. The value of peace education is displayed through understanding diversity of men and womens’ identities and roles.

Abstract

Baru-baru ini muncul fenomena krisis karakter bangsa yang menyebabkan krisis nasional dalam berbagai dimensi. Berbagai aspek kehidupan juga bertanggung jawab atas rapuhnya kepribadian bangsa ini. Termasuk sekolah sebagai lembaga yang secara esensial sebagai media pembangun karakter. Pendidikan meminjam istilah dari Shapiro (2006) sudah kehilangan hati, karena dimensi moral dan spiritual telah terpinggirkan. Jadi jika momentum “Hari Pendidikan” (2 Mei 2010), pemerintah menyatakan “gerakan nasional di negara pendidikan karakter,” maka perlu diterima dengan baik, meskipun masih dalam pencarian model. Tulisan singkat ini mencoba untuk meninjau bagaimana esensi dari pendidikan karakter dan desain kurikulum seperti itu harus disiapkan dalam perspektif keadilan gender. Makalah ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan karakter berbeda dengan pendidikan moral. Jika pendidikan moral cenderung mengajarkan dimensi etika, baik dan buruk di tingkat kognitif, maka pendidikan karakter memerlukan pendekatan holistik. pendidikan karakter sebagai dikonfirmasi (Lickona, 1991) harus mencakup tiga aspek mengetahui, merasakan dan bertindak dari kebaikan.Oleh karena itu, dalam merancang kurikulum perlu mempertimbangkan tiga-lingkungan yang didukung oleh upaya intervensi dan habituasi, mulai dari kelas, sekolah, dan lingkungan keluarga. Agar pembangunan kurikulum tidak bias gender, perlu mengedepankan perspektif gender dalam mengembangkan kurikulum pendidikan karakter di semua tingkat.ABSTRACT Problems of character education already started sticking in various aspects of life involving men and women. Efforts are needed breakthrough in the design of character educational that can transform the moral values into action and real personality with gender responsive. This brief paper tries to review how the essence of character education and curriculum design as it should be prepared in the perspective of gender justice. This paper concludes that character education is different from the of moral education. If moral education tends to teach the ethical dimensions, good and bad in cognitive level, then character education requires a holistic approach. Character education should include three aspects of knowing, feeling and acting of the good. Therefore, in designing the curriculum needs to consider the three-sphere which is supported by intervention efforts and habituation, starting at the class, school, and family environment. In order for the construction of curricula is not gender-biased, the need to put forward a gender perspective in developing a character education curriculum especiallya in Islamic education in all level in Indonesia.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of the paper is to present the initiatives of providing access of internet to rural women and girls while highlighting the status quo of the digital literacy between Malaysian women and men, and the impacts of the initiatives done on digital literacy from 2015 until now. The research relies heavily on information from official documents, research publications, reports from relevant agencies, and secondary data from existing government statistics. From the information and data culled, several initiatives in providing access of internet to rural women and girls are taken by the government but the percentage of digital literacy between Malaysian women and men remains constant. Malaysian women have made significant progress and the search for greater gender equality has been relatively successful. Rural women and girls developments are essential as it will help in shaping the future of our country towards positive directions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan riset lapangan. Tema yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah keberagamaan inklusif anak usia dini di keluarga Ahmadiyah Manislor, Kuningan, Jawa Barat. Ada tiga hal yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini yaitu konsep keberagamaan inklusif, pendidikan anak usia dini dalam keluarga Ahmadiyah Manislor Kuningan Jawa Barat serta implementasi keberagamaan inklusif AUD pada masyarakat tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis isi untuk menjelaskan konsep keberagamaan inklusif anak usia dini dan pendekatan fenomenologi untuk memotret toleransi keberagamaan anak usia dini pada keluarga tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: (1) Konsep keberagamaan inklusif anak usia dini dapat dibangun melalui pembentukan identitas anak. (2) Pendidikan anak usia dini keluarga Ahmadiyah Manislor dilakukan melalui pembiasaan, pengenalan konsep cintai semua dan tak ada satupun yang dibenci, dialog dan penanaman jiwa sosial. (3) Implementasi keberagamaan inklusif keluarga Ahmadiyah Manislor dilakukan dengan toleransi, pembentukan identitas dan pemenuhan kebutuhan anak. This field research basically explore inclusive religiosity of early childhood among Ahmadiyah families at Manislor Kuningan West Java. In this study, there are three research questions dealt with the concept of inclusive diversity for early childhood, the tolerance education within the Ahmadiyah families and the implementation of religious tolerance for early childhood in Ahmadiyah families at Manislor Kuningan West Java. This study uses content analysis approach to explain the concept of inclusive diversity of early childhood and phemenology approach to photographing religious tolerance within their family. The results of this research are: (1) The concept of inclusive diversity for early childhood based on self identity building. (2) Tolerance education for children within Ahmadiya families at Manislor done through attitude, spirit “Love for All and Hatred for None, dialog and social life building. (3) The implementation of religious tolerance for early childhood in ahmadiyya families at Manislor through tolerance, self identity building and meeting children basic needs.
