Abstract

This study investigated the effect of ambiguity tolerance and organizational of justice toward the organizational change commitment mediated by confidence of change's recipient and the employee's Cynical Attitude. This research was applied in the environment of Papua Provincial Government, in implementing organizational change strategies through restrukturisai, to achieve successful organizational change objectives. The sources of data in this study are primary and secondary data. The population of this study are civil servants who occupy the structural position of echelon IV and III, which found as many as 184 people as the research sample. The analytical method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), The results showed that tolerance of ambiguity and organizational justice simultaneously through conviction of employees to accept change and cynicism will affect employees' commitment to organizational change efforts. The confidence of employees' to accept changes in the organization of the employees is high. These degrees will provide a direct impact on low cynicism, and provide an indirect positive impact significantly on the commitment of organizational change.

Abstract

The study aims to describe (1) the creation process of entrepreneur, (2) the entrepreneur development face, and (3) the sustainable entrepreneur model. Qualitative approach with fenomenological method were utilized to get the description. The study found that (1) the entrepreneur was created through family life and work experiences; (2) the entrepreneur development process through product innovation, process innovation and marketing innovation, and (3) strengtherning "high intention to their son and doughter for being an entrepreneur is needed to be a model of sustainable entrepreneur.

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop and examine the relationship consistency of readiness for change contextual variable in analyzing the effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) practice on performance. Data collection used survey method by sending 748 questioners to senior manager of 393 listed companies at Indonesia Capital Market based on Indonesia Capital Market Directory year of 2008. Method of analysis used Sructural Equation Model (SEM) with company treated as unit of analysis. There were 108 data available for analysis. The research findings indicate for effectively implementation of TOM practice must be supported by high readiness for change of organization staff employee to create quality of outcome in terms of high product quality which increases performance. Managerial implication of this research stressing that managers should spend time to assess the readiness for TOM before implementing TOM practice in order to have optimal benefits and sustainability.

Abstract

A familly or small business as one in which both ownership and policy making are dominated by members of an "emotional kinship group". This characteristic results in a number of operational differences between family/small business and other firms. Chief among these differences is the manner in which family/small businesses handle succession from one generation to the next. To become successful, one of task for leader is plan for "business successsion" to the next generation.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to find a description of intellectual capital, job satisfaction, and employees performance; and tested explanation about the influence of intellectual capital that include competency, organization commitment, and job control on job satisfaction and performance; job satisfaction on performance; and intellectual capital on performance with job satisfaction as the mediation. The Local Government Officials at some Regencies in East Java which are dispersed in eight regencies, namely: Malang, Malang City, and Batu which were the observation objects and in the implementation this research used the verification research and survey method, with Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data collected by interview and questionnaire as the research technique. The result of descriptive analysis shows that (1) the officials' intellectual capital which observed both of total and each components resulted in moderate high category, (2) officials job satisfaction were observed both of total and each dimensions resulted in high category, expect job satisfaction on the dimensions of pay and promotion still in moderate high category and (3) officials performance were observed both of total and each dimensions resulted in moderate high category, expect performance on dimension of cooperation was in high category. The result of path analysis shows that (1) intellectual capital that include competency, organization commitment, and job control have positive and significant influence on job satisfaction and performance, (2) job satisfaction has positive and significant influence on performance and (3) intellectual capital has positive and significant influence on the performance with job satisfaction as the mediation.

Abstract

This research aims at: 1) Explaining the direct influence of organizational culture and leadership to learning organization; 2) Analyzing and clarifying the straight influnce of organizational culture and leadership to organizational performance; 3) Investigating and defining the undeviating influence of learning to organizational performance; 4) Studying and justifying the indirect influence of organizational culture and leadership to organizational performance through learning organization. The sample of this were 167 officiers in Directorate IV/Drug Crime and Organized Crime BARESKRIM POLRI. The method of data analysis applied was path analysis. The results of the reasearch show: 1) Organizational culture takes a significant role in learning organization, 2) Leadership obvious influence to learning organization; 3) Organization cultural take no role in organizational performance; 4) Leadership does not have any influnce to organizational performance; 5) Learning organization takes an important part in organizational performance; 6) Learning organization takes a role as medium of the influnce of organization culture and organizational performance; 7) Learning organization functions as the medium for leadership and organizational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Identify the products that have been standard SNI, (2) Conducting an analysis of the suitability of the product is whether it is feasible to get ISO standards, (3) Provide recommendations which products really fit with the standard status SNI and products which are still less worthy of the status of ISO standard. This research approach is quantitative with survey method. Instruments used in the implementation of a questionnaire survey. The results of this study are as follows: (1) There are clear criteria in determining the SNI products, and information obtained by the parties concerned can be accessed easily, (2) In the two components of the survey, namely non-food products and food products, all respondents said that stakeholders can participate in the development of SNI, (3) There is transparency in the development of SNI ranging from programming and formulation stage to the stage of establishment, (4) On average, respondents said that the stakeholders can give their interests and treated fair; (5) Trading facility provided by the national government in order to standardize considered effective and relevant, (6) There is a connectedness in the development of national standardization. In the two components of the survey contained figure of 2.83 in non-food products and 2,76 on the food products, (7) National standardization program that also consider the public interest and also national interest was also considered by respondents to have dimensions of development, (8) An increasing Index Standard Suitability Test Items from the year 2008-2010, although the range in 2007-2008 has decreased, (9) Index Standard Product Suitability Test in Malang, Gresik, Blitar, Tulungagung, dan Pasuruan viewed from statistical data presented in general belong to the category of "good", (10) For products already in the survey, referring to the results of statistical data, it deserves to get the label of SNI from stakeholders.

Abstract

Purpose - This study examines the implementation of financial performance system sharia bank based on Bank Indonesia regulatory No.9/1/PBI/2007 is CAMELS method. Design methodology/approach - The type of descriptive research and the sampling technique with the purposive sampling. Sharia Banks in Indonesia are a sample of Bank Sharia Mandiri, Bank Sharia Mega Indonesia and Bank Muamalat Indonesia. The data in the form of annual report, the calculation of profit and loss statements of retained earnings, as well as the Capial Adequecy Ratio. Year study period from 2007-2009. Methods of data analysis is the analysis of CAMEL. Findings-The results show that the financial performance of the national private sharia banks are better than the government of sharia banks. From the aspect of capital, management, and earnings, are both considered very good and very healthy otherwise. As for the aspect of asset quality and liquidity, the national private sharia banks tend to perform better than the government's sharia banks. Limitations/implications Limitations of this research method used is the CAMELS without examining the sensitivity factor (S).

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze attitude, subjective norm perceived behavioral control and experience influence intention and behavior towards online shopping. This study is based on a questionnaire survey asking participants what factors inüuence their use of the internet for shopping. Population in this study is consumer online in Malang, sampling technique used was convenience sampling, data while collected through questionnaire as many as 100 respondents were taken as samples. In order to measure respondents response, the author used Likert's Scale to test the models using path analysis Analysis of the result shows that attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control and experience, influence consumers' intention towards online shopping. Perceived behavioral control experience and intention influence consumers' behavior towards online shopping.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and emotional intelligence on the performance of employees, the studies at Coal Energy Conversion Project PTX in Gresik. To achieve these objectives the research was conducted the method of explanatory that is explain the causal relationship between variables transformational leadership and emotional intelligence and its influence on employee performance. The population in this study were 63 employees. While the sampling technique was done by total sampling so that the entire population in this study is the research sample. The techniques of data analysis in the study was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results showed that simultaneously transformational leadership and emotional intelligence significantly influence to the performance of employees. the first hypothesis was acceptable which stated that simultaneously, there was a significant influence between the two variables, transformational leadership and emotional intelligence, Partially there was the influence of transformational leadership on employee performance. Moreover, the emotional intelligence had a significant influence on the performance of employees. Independent variables that had a dominant influence on performance was transformational leadership thus it proved that the third hypothesis in this study was also acceptable.
