Abstract

Uric acid is a normal metabolic waste of protein digestion or the end result of purine metabolism, both purine derived from food and purine derived from the breakdown of nucleic acid body. Vegetarians are people who do not consume meat or seafood or products that contain this type of food. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of meal time, nutritional status and nutrient intake in vegetarian and non vegetarian.The type of this research is descriptive observational analytic using design cross sectional. This study describes the effect of mealtimes, nutritional status and nutrient intake on uric acid levels in vegetarians and non-vegetarians. This research was conducted in Poniki Village of Pasan Minahasa Tenggara Sub-district from 1-7 May 2017. The sampling method is consecutive sampling with a total of 621 popolates with a sample of 35 vegetarians and 35 non-vegetarians and using a logistic regression test. The subjects of this study are all villagers of Poniki who meet the criteria.The results showed that the statistical test results using logistic regression test in the vegetarian group at step 6 variable lunch time has the value of expect = 0.167 which means lunch time is a variable that affect the increase in uric acid levels whereas in non-vegetarian groups have a value on The fifth step variable of nutritional status and protein intake have value of expect = 0.000, which means nutritional status and protein intake is variable that influence to increase uric acid level. In conclusion, the most influential variable in the vegetarian group is lunch time whereas in non-vegetarian group is the nutritional status and protein intake that most influence to increase uric acid level.

Abstract

Photographs of foodstuffs is one of the counseling medium that can be used to facilitate the patient understand because the photos of the ingredients are equipped with the weight of the mature food ingredient (gram). And on some ingredients there is a dimension (length or width). In addition to the weight of the listed ingredients there is also the composition of macro nutrients such as: Calories, Carbohydrates, Proteins, FatsThis research type is Quasy Experiment pre and Post Test Control group This research design will describe difference of attitude and behavior attitude of diabetes mellitus patient in hospitalization beside that this research will describe ease and efficiency of nutrition counseling in patient of diabetes mellitus.The result of statistic test about the level of knowledge about diabetes mellitus obtained p value <0,05 (p = 0,000), meaning there is very significant difference of knowledge value about diabetes mellitus before and after counseling activity. Similarly attitudes and behavior of patients showed an increase with the value of p <0.05 (p = 0.00). This also shows a very significant difference in behavior before and after counseling using food photos. Conclusion there is difference of knowledge level, attitude and behavior of respondent after nutrition counseling using photo of food.

Abstract

The Nutrition Awareness Family (KADARZI), is a family description of balanced nutrition behaviors, is able to recognize and solve the nutritional problems of its family members, besides it has good behavior in growth monitoring by taking into account the basic principles of child growth assessment including measuring the weight and length or height of children and comparing with growth standards. The purpose of growth assessment is to determine whether the child grows normally or has growth problems or there is a tendency to have growth problems that need to be addressed. Nutrition Research Assessment Results of Nutrition Status and Working Indicators of 2015, survey results show that for prevalence of under five nutrition status based on indicator of TB / U is very short prevalence age 0-23 months (6,5%) and short (13,1%) while in the national prevalence of very under five children (8.4%) and short toddlers (14.7%). The comparison between prevalence nationally compared with the province of North Sulawesi has a not too far away. Prevalence of nutritional status of children under 0-59 months based on national TB indicator (18.9%), North Sulawesi provincial prevalence (15.9%), while for North Minahasa district has prevalence (22.1%), with prevalence of provincial and national level hence categorized still high, (Kemenkes RI, 2016). The purpose of this research is to know the correlation between nutrient conscious family behavior with nutritional status of children under five in Likupang District of North Minahasa Regency.This type of research is observational with quasi experiment design. This research will analyze the effect of behavior change of nutritious family with the use of kadarzi monitoring card to five kadarzi indicators. The population in this study is all families who have children aged 0 - 5 years in the work area of Likupang Community Health Center, North Minahasa District.Conclusion there are 31,4% of research subjects mengalamin increase BB but from result of statistic test there is no change of behavior at monitoring weight of child of toddler (p> 0,05). Consumption of diverse foods that consume a complete 77.1%. Salt consumption is 100%. Toddlers who have not got exclusive breastfeeding 60%. Pregnant women who do not consume Fe 52.5%; 41.5% of puerperal mothers did not consume Vit A. Toddlers who consumed 86.7% vitamin A capsules and 55.1% red vitamin A. Suggestions To monitor KADARZI should use the available monitoring cards: Need to monitor with KADARZI card with a longer period of time to cover all components in monitoring Need to modify the simpler KADARZI card, making it younger and more practical in its use.

Abstract

Hypertension is circulatory system disorders, it cause the blood pressure normal exceed. That’s why this disease also known as high blood pressure. In blood pressure measurements, usually there are 2 kind of numbers which show higher and lower. The higher number means the heart contraction/systolic, and the lower number means the heart relaxation/diastolic. This study was to find the sodium intake and fat intake , also to find the relation of sodium intake and fat intake towards hypertensions on outpatient at Manado, Minanga Public Health Center. This is observational study with cross sectional design towards 70 sample. Sample inclusion criteria in this study is all the patients that comes to treatment at public healt center as long as study period which is 2 weeks (29 may-9 June) at Minanga public health center. Blood pressure data taken by nurse, measured with sphygmomanometer, sodium and fat intake data taken by researcher, getting with interview semi-FFQ questionnaire. The data in this study tested with Chi-Square test. The result of this study swoed that from 70 sample, there are 40 patients (57.1%) with hypertension has high sodium intake, 4 patients (5.7%) with hypertension has low sodium intake, 39 patients (55.7%) with hypertension has high fat intake, 5 patients (7.1%) with hypertension has low fat intake. The result of this study also showed that there are relation between sodium intake and hypertension, proven by Chi-Square test p value = 0.003, there are also relation between fat intake and hypertension, proven by Chy-Square test p value = 0,019.

Abstract

Processed food at the Hospital is expected to help the healing process of patients. However, foods that should help heal can bring disease if the cultivating environment is not hygiene. The purpose of this research is to know the behavioral characteristic of hygiene of food handler in nutrition installation of RSU Gmim Pancaran Kasih Manado. Descriptive crossectional study with expert subject, ie food handler Determination of the number of samples that is the population of 11 people. Data collection techniques were conducted with questionnaires. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitative. The results showed that, food processor in Nutrition Installation General Hospital GMIM Pancaran Kasih Manado with the most age categories 40 to 49 years of 6 people, 5 elementary school education, and the majority pengolah gender of women. The conclusion of this study is that the hygiene behavior of food handlers or food processor categories is sufficient, with characteristics of age, and level of education.

Abstract

Based on the results of Riskesdas in 2013, the state of nutrition status, especially for children under five years old in Indonesia, related to stunting problem with TB / U indicator can be described as follows, in Riskesdas 2007 very low prevalence rate of infants (18.0%), 2010 (18.5 %) and in 2013 (18.0%), this prevalence rate has a similarly increasing trend and decline from year to year, as well as for the prevalence of short toddlers, at Riskesda 2007 (18.0%), 2010 ( 17.1%) and in 2013 (19.2%), it shows that the increase of short toddlers in Indonesia is still very high. For growth assessment, children need to be developed in order to know early child growth and this monitoring should be done by trained health personnel in order to obtain data or information on how should the child grow well and follow-up (intervention). The purpose of this research is to know the effect of Growth Monitoring training by using WHO 2005 standard to knowledge, skill of officer in using growth standard of balita.The research type is quasi experiment with pre and post test design one group design. Population in this research is all nutrition officer responsible in monitoring growth of toddler. Processing and data analysis begins with the editing, and coding data to facilitate the process of data entry and then followed by mengentri data on statistical software program, the next stage is to do Pre-test and post-test pre-test results before and after the training obtained the results of knowledge level, attitudes and skills of nutrition workers in puskesmas district in Minahasa Uatara district against the use of WHO 2005 standard, pre-test result for good category knowledge (80%), good category attitude (66,7%) and good category skill (66,7%), (90%) increased by 10%, good attitude category (93.3%) experienced an increase of (26.6%) and good skill category (90%) %) increased (23.3%). Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test statistic test results to know the difference of knowledge before and after training (p <0.05), there are significant differences (p = 0.000). The result of statistical test of attitude difference before and after training (p <0.05), there were significant differences (p = 0,000) from the test statistic difference of skill before and after training (p <0,005), there was significant difference (p = 0,000).

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a group of heterogeneous disorders characterized by elevated blood glucose levels or hyperglycemia. Counseling to people with Diabetes Mellitus about nutrition and healthy lifestyle is a method to raise awareness of Diabetes Mellitus patients to change food intake so as to improve blood glucose levels. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of nutrition counseling on nutrient intake and blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the work area of ​​Motoling Puskesmas. The research type is pre experiment design with one group pretest and posttest approach. The population in this study were 55 outpatient Diabetes Mellitus patients at Motoling Puskesmas, a sample of 23 outpatient Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 patients at Motoling Puskesmas. Nutrition counseling using media leaflets is given four times a month. Data Food intake was taken by using food recall 24 hours, data of glucose level of patient was taken by doing autocheck blood sugar test and for characteristic data of respondent using questioner. To determine the difference of glucose level with carbohydrate and fat intake before and after nutritional counseling was analyzed by using paired test of T test and Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between carbohydrate intake before and after nutritional counseling (p = 0.002 <α 0.05). Average carbohydrate intake before counseling 359.52 g and after counseling 290.09 g a decrease of 69.43 g. For fat intake showed no significant difference in carbohydrate intake before and after nutritional counseling (p = 0.009 <α 0.05). Average fat intake before counseling 128.61 g and after counseling 75.04 g decreased 53.56 g. While blood glucose levels showed no significant difference in carbohydrate intake before and after nutritional counseling (p = 0.000 <α 0.05). Mean blood glucose levels before counseling 255 mg / dl to 202.39 mg / dl decreased 52.60 mg / dl. Conclusion, there is a significant difference between nutrient intake and blood glucose levels in patients with Diabetes Mellitus type 2 in the work area of Motoling Puskesmas.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a disorder of metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats resulting from an imbalance between the availability of insulin and insulin requirements. se of this study was to determine the relationship of diet adherence and physical activity with controlling blood sugar levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus outpatient at the Manado Radiation Hospital. This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all Diabetes Mellitus Type II outpatients in the hospital. Pancaran Kasih Manado The number and sample are 39 people and the sample is determined by purposive sampling. The test results between the relationship of diet adherence with blood sugar levels obtained a p-value of 0.670, meaning that there was no significant relationship between the variables of diet compliance with blood sugar levels. While physical activity with blood sugar levels get a p-value of 0.499, it means there is no significant relationship between physical activity variables with blood sugar levels. The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant relationship between adherence to diet, physical activity with controlling blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the hospital Radiation of Love Manado.

Abstract

Diet is a way or business in setting the number and types of food with a specific purpose such as maintaining health, nutritional status, medium enterprises or help cure diseases. The wrong diet can cause many significant on the health of the body. To maintain the health of the body eating habits must be noted by the teacher. Bad habits of diet foods high in energy and fat common cause of obesity. Based on the background of the researchers want to know whether the diet physical activity can cause obesity first on teachers. The type of research that is used is a research cohort studies analytically using the design of the cross sectional research study or cut the bars of 43 samples. Data Collection intake pattern is done by using the questionnaire Food Frequency Questioner (FFQ). Physical Aktivatas done by using questionnaires international pisycal activity quesionery (IPAQ) , and nutritional status is done using anthropometric measurement height measured using microtois and body weight is measured using body weight. Research Results diet includes the types of food, frequency eat using test chi-square test shows there are significant relationships between the amount of energy intake (p=0,000), the amount of protein intake (p=0,000), the amount of fat intake (p=0,000), the amount of carbohydrate intake (p=0,000), and from the results of the test the fisher exact test shows that there is no relationship between physical activity and nutritional status values (p=0.511).

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is a baby receiving only direct breastfeeding from biological mother, breast milk or dairy milk until the baby is 6 months old. Non-exclusive breastfeeding is not only breastfed babies but also get other foods other than breastmilk like formula milk. North Sulawesi Province exclusive ASI coverage in 2014 amounted to 38.5% decreased 2015 only 26.3%. The purpose of this research was to know the nutritional status of 4 - 6 months old baby who got exclusive breastfeeding and non exclusive breast milk. The type of research used is descriptive research. The study was conducted for 1 week from 30 May to 6 June 2017 at the Kolongan Community Health Center, Kalawat District, North Minahasa Regency The sample of the study was 4 - 6 months old baby with total sample of 53 babies. Research respondents were infant mothers. The sampling method uses accidental sampling. Data obtained through interviews and direct measurement of nutritional status (BB / U) using baby scales (baby scale). The result of the research is the number of baby samples 4 - 6 months as many as 53 babies. Exclusive breastfeeding of 16 infants. non exclusive breastfeeding of 37 babies, divided into infant formula, breast milk and formula mixture 17 infants. Nutritional status of infants 4 - 6 months total of 53 babies, malnutrition less 4 babies (7.5%), good nutrition 32 babies (60,5%), and 17 more infants (32%).
