Abstract

Learning achievement is the result of learning activities, which explain student’s mastered inthe material that given by the teachers. Learning achievement can be influence by personalnutrition status. Ideal nutrition status or optimal nutrition status occurs when human bodyobtain substances nutrients from food that used efficiently, enabling the physical growth,brain growth, work ability and healthy in general at the possible highest level. One of them issnack food which given contribute to the person’s energy. This experiment aimed to knowthe correlation of the Frequency Consumption of Snack Food with Nutrition Status andStudents’ Achievement in Malalayang Elementary School.This kind of research is observational analytic with cross sectional study, which started toimplemented at 1 March until 8 March in Elementary School Malalayang, Manado city withusing 77 samples. The samples taken with the age criteria 8-12 years old, in healthycondition, ever consumed snack food and willing to become respondents. Data analysisstarted with normality sample test and unvaried interpretation and bivariate analysis.There are 96,1% children’s that had good report values, frequency consumed snack foodwith categories often 72.7%, and normal nutrition status 71,4%. There is relationshipbetween the frequency of snack food consumption with nutrition status p=0.012, a=0.05.There is no statistical relationship between nutrition status and learning achievementp=1.00, a=0.05. Suggested that parents and teachers can monitor and provide nutritioneducation for children to choose healthy snack food to avoid healthy nutrition problems andothers health.

Abstract

Balanced nutrition problems in Indonesia is still a substantial problem. The problem of thepoor economy and limited knowledge of nutrition. Nutritional knowledge would affect eatinghabits or eating behavior of a society. The success of development could have a negativeimpact, among others, the occurrence of overweight as a result of lifestyle changes includediet. The modern diet that is higher than the physical akftifitas will cause nutritional problemslebih.Tujuan this study to determine the relationship between maternal nutrition knowledge,dietary and nutritional status in the village PahaletenMinahasa District of KakasThe design of this penetitian Cross Sectional Study. The study only make observations andmeasurements of variables at one particular time. Measurement variables are not limited tobe just about the same time. Total population of 248 people and the number of respondentsas many as 38 people. Data collected include general data, knowledge of nutrition, diet andnutrition stattus. Data obtained from interviews, questionnaires knowledge, measurement ofnutritional status, and the questionnaire FFQ.Of the 38 respondents there were 20 people (52.6%) having the nutritional status of obesitywith the knowledge level of <60%. While diet with nutrient status have a meaningfulrelationship in which the value of p <0.05 were obtained through statistical tests TestFisher.Berdasarkan There was no relationship between the Nutritional Sciences Nutritionalstatus However the correlation between diet and nutritional status of the mother

Abstract

Hypertension including disease can not be cured but can be controlled through routinehealth controls, a diet low in salt and consume regularly to reduce the risk of cardiovascularcomplications and other organs that exist in the patient. Salt is a critical role in thepathogenesis of hypertension. Table salt contains 40% sodium and 60% chloride. Nutritionalcounseling can assist patients in dealing with health issues. Changes in behavior will occur ifthe client receives knowledge so that clients can understand his state of health then theclient can take the correct attitude and action that has been agreed counselors to deal withtheir health problems.This type of research is the design of pre experiment with one group pretest posttestapproach, a population of 234 and the number of samples obtained from the calculationLemesshow (1997) a number of 40 samples. Wilcoxon test results before and after thesodium intake of nutritional counseling obtained significant value (0.000) <α (0:05) with anaverage intake of sodium respondents generally before and after counseling has decreasedfrom 3067 mg and 1490 mg after counseling.There are differences in sodium intake in hypertensive patients before and after nutritioncounseling. Prior to nutritional counseling patient sodium intake more than the recommendeddaily sodium intake, and nutritional counseling after the patient had begun to reduce eatingfoods that contain high sodium

Abstract

One of the International Conference On Nutrition's commitments in Rome 2014 is to eliminate hunger and prevent any form of malnutrition worldwide. Toddler nutrition status is influenced by direct and indirect causes. The direct causal factors are food intake and infectious diseases, while the underlying causes are mother's level of knowledge and history of exclusive breastfeeding. This research is to know the factors related to the nutritional status of children under five in Sindulang Urban One Kota Manado. This type of research is analytic correlation with crossectional design. Population as many as 284 balita and samples 43 under fives. Data analysis using Fisher Exact Test to know the correlation of independent and bound variable and multinominal logistic regression test to know the most dominant factor that related to nutrition status of Toddler. Instruments used in this study are questionnaires, food recall form 24 hours weighing scales, and stationery. The results of this study indicate that there are 5 children under five who have bad nutritional status (BGM) based on BB / U index, energy intake is dominated by good intake level and less, and there are 5 infants who have suffered from infectious diseases (acute diarrhea). 21 Toddlers are given Exclusive Breast Milk and 22 Toddlers are not given Exclusive Breast Milk. Most Balita women have a good level of knowledge about nutrition. There is correlation between energy intake with nutritional status of children under five (p = 0.000), there is correlation history of infectious disease with nutrient status of children under five (p = 0.007). There is no history of exclusive breastfeeding relationship with underfive nutritional status (p = 0.127). There was no correlation between maternal knowledge level and nutritional status of children under five (p = 1,000). Energy intake is the most dominant factor affecting the nutritional status of children under five in Sindulang Satu Village.

Abstract

Hypertension in one disease with the highest mortality rate in Indonesia that need to be controlled so as not to cause the risk of other degenerative disease. Hypertension often does not cause symptoms, but over a long period of time can cause hypertension. According to WHO 2011, about 1 billion people worldwide suffer from hypertension. Results of basic health research (Riskesdas) years (2013) shows that the highest prevalence of hypertension based on diagnosis is found in the Province Sulawesi Utara amount (15,0%) and in the City of Manado the measurement results are as big as (26,6%) with age group characteristics ≥ 18 years old at risk of hypertension.The type of research used was observational analytic with cross sectional study design. Number of samples studied 74 respondents take by purposive sampling. Blood pressure measurements were performed using a tension meter and the level of energy and sodium consumption using a 2x24 hour recall gauge, analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis.The results obtained that people who have excessive energy consumption level exist 63 respondent, which has excess sodium consumption level as much 59 respondent, and which has boold pressure as much 58 respondent While variable level of energy consumption (p=0,010), level of sodium consumption (p=0,000), so there is a significant relationship between the level of energy consumption and sodium with the number of hypertensive patients in Kelurahan Malalayang I City of Manado.

Abstract

Obesity is an excessive increase in body fat. Obesity is caused by a positive energy balance, as a result of imbalances between energy intake and energy output, resulting in excess energy stored in the form of fatty tissue This study aims To determine the effect of Fat intake, Level of income on the incidence of Obesity In high school teacher / vocational school in the middle Tomohon City Tomohon. The analytic survey method using cross sectional method of sample 43 uses chi-square test (x2), at significance level of 95% (p 0.05). This research has been conducted in Christian High School 1 Tomohon Christian High School 2 Tomohon, and SMK Kristen 1 Tomohon in Kec. Tomohon Tengah. The research time has been conducted from May to June 2017. The research population is all teachers in SMA Kristen 1 Tomohon, Christian SMA 2 Tomohon, and SMK Kristen 1 Tomohon in Kec. Central Tomohon is 136 people. And the sample in this research is all teachers who are in SMA Kristen 1 Tomohon, Christian SMA 2 Tomohon, and SMKS Kristen 1 Tomohon in Kec. Tomohon Tengah The results showed that there is a relationship between fat intake with obesity in high school teachers / vocational schools in Tomohon. Respondents who consume high fat and have excess weight BB weight there are 25 people 58,13%, whereas respondents who consume high fat and have excess light BB level there are 14 people 32,55% and not obese or normal 9.30%. Families with high incomes do not affect the risk factors for obesity because seen from the results of this study showed that respondents who have low income levels can have good nutritional status. suggestions provide information about obesity and further planning on obesity Reenforce monitoring of nutritional status in adults especially to monitor their diet.

Abstract

Hipercolesterolemia is Cholesterol metabolism disorder disease caused by the cholesterol levels in the blood exceeds the normal limit. One of the factors the causes of hipercolesterolemia is the wrong diet. Eating patterns of human behavior is in meeting the needs of the food will include attitude, trust and the selection of groceries. To change the wrong diet can be done by increasing the knowledge about nutrition that is by conducting a nutritional counseling. With the hope of having carried out a nutrition counseling there is a change in behavior and diet o the respondets. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of nutritional counseling to knowledge of nutrition, diet, and cholesterol levels in patients hiperkolesterolemia. This research uses the design the design of the one group pretest-posttest. This research was conducted in patients hipercolesterolemia in Clinics and performed with Rurukan Incidental Sampling. The number of respondents as many 27 people. The data collected includes general data, knowledge of nutrition , diet, cholesterol levels total respondents. Data obtained from interviews, questionnaires, measurement of cholesterol, and spring Food Frequency Quesioner (FFQ). The results showed an average knowledge of nutrition counseling done before respondents were (67,78%) and average cholesterol consumption prior to normal nutrition counseling (162,85 mg). Once done the average nutritional counseling knowledge responden good nutrition (86,26%), average consumption o cholesterol is normal (79,08 mg). in conclusion, there is a difference of knowledge of nutrition, diet, and cholesterol levels before and after the respondents conducted a nutritional counseling.

Abstract

At the moment there are an estimated 38.4 million Indonesians living below the poverty line. More than 5 million children under the age of five suffer from malnutrition and about 100 million people are at risk from other nutritional problems (less iron, less iodine, less vitamin A, less calcium, less zinc, etc. Weight is the first indicator that can be seen when a person is malnourished.In the long term, malnutrition will lead to high growth barriers and ultimately adversely affect the individual's mental-intellectual development Objective: Identify Knowledge, Attitudes and Behavior of Underfive Malnourished and Underweight Children in the Working Area Puskesmas Oesapa Kota Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Method: This research was conducted by observational method with cross-sectional approach. Population in this research all mother of balita who have child malnutrition and less become respondent in working area of puskesmas Oesapa City of Kupang which amounted to 30 respondents. Sampling technique in total sampling. Results: Most respondents in this study were 20-35 years old (74.2%). Most of the respondents had an elementary education (38.7%), worked as housewives (IRT) 96.8%, most had more than 4 (54.8%) family members, had less than minimum wage province (87.1%). Based on maternal nutrition knowledge indicator is known that most have good knowledge of nutrition (96,8%), based on indicator of nutrition attitude known most of respondents have good nutrition attitude (90,3%) and based on indicator of nutritional behavior known that mother's nutritional behavior mostly categorized as good (74.2%). Conclusion: Most of the respondents in this study were 20-35 years old. An elementary school, working as a housewife (IRT), has a family member of more than 4 people, has an income less than the provincial minimum wage. Most have good nutritional knowledge, have good nutritional attitudes, and mother's nutritional behavior is largely categorized well.

Abstract

The condition of a person is said to be obese or overweight is still a lot that can not distinguish, overweight is a weight that exceeds normal weight, while obesity is the excess fat accumulation in the body (Coal, 2010). According to WHO (2013), Overweight and obesity are the causes of noninfectious diseases. At least 2, 8 million adults die from Overweight or obesity each year. Determination of overweight used measurement Body Index (BMI) is by dividing body weight (kg) with height body (m2), (WHO, 2010).This study aims to identify the level of liver enzymes in employees with weight Overweight in environment Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado. The type of this research is laboratory survey with case control study design. The population of the study were employees who worked in Poltekkes Kemenkes Manado, sampling with Purposive sampling technique based on case and control clustering according to inclusive criteria and obtained a good sample number of Case and Control group respectively 30 respondents. An enzyme measurement apparatus using a Microlab 300 Photometer is performed in an accredited laboratory. Data were analyzed by univariate, bivariate using Chi-quare statistic test.The result of this research is P = 0.0024 on sGOT and P = 0.003 at sGPT where P value <0.05 means that there is a significant relationship between sGOT liver enzyme and sGPT employee poltekkes kemenkes manado with each Odd ratio at sGOT of 3.8 and sGPT 5.23 this means an odds of 4 times at higher sGOT values n people with an overweight BMT of the normal BMI, whereas at high sGPT values have a chance of 5 times of occurrence in people with an overweight BMI (BMT) over normal BMI

Abstract

Less nutrition is a health problem due to nutritional deficiencies or deficiencies necessaryfor growth, thinking, and life-related activities. Adaptive nutrient deficiency is mild to severe.Nutrition is less common in children aged less than 5 years. Supplementary feeding ininfants is an intervention program for toddlers who suffer from less protein calories thataims to meet the nutritional needs of toddlers in order to improve the nutritional status to begood. This study aims to determine whether there is a change in nutritional status inunderweight children under-five who get additional feeding (PMT). This type of researchuses quasi experimental research with one group pre-post test design. A total of 36children under five nutrition less studied as research subjects. The data collected includesinitial weight, weight gain after supplementary feeding.The result of statistic test by using Paired Samples Test The initial body weight and weightgain of 1 got significant value 0,000 (p <0,05), which can be concluded that H1 acceptedthat there is a change of nutritional status in children less nutrition less, Then for the weightBody giving 2 and body weight giving 3 got significant value 0,000 (p <0,05), which can beconcluded that H1 accepted that there is change of nutritional status in children under fivenutrition less. Conclusion there is a change in nutritional status in under-fives children lessnutrition as long as given additional food (PMT).
