Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of readiness of the Batik Tulis Small and Medium Industry in Sidoarjo district in implementing One Village One Product (OVOP) by mapping the assessment criteria based on the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrices, as a first step in conducting analysis using the Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) method. OVOP is a way to develop the potential of an area that was pioneered by Dr. Morihiko Hiramatsu has succeeded in alleviating poverty in Japan's Oita Prefecture through the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) by motivating the economies of several developing countries albeit under different names. Base on the identification of the performance of 30 small and medium industries (SMI) spread across 5 batik centers, it can be seen that the level of readiness is 81%. The results of the 82 evaluation criteria means that the product quality is good and has been classified as 4 star even though the marketing area is only in the country. So that the value still needs to be increased on several indicators (A). Aspects of Production, Product and Community Development, (B). Marketing Aspects and Product History, (C). Aspects of Product Type, Quality, and Market Opportunities. Of the 25 indicators of OVOP product assessment for the batik category, when mapped in the IFE matrix, 8 are seen as strengths and 4 of weakness, while in the EFE matrix, 7 of opportunity and 6 of threats are seen.

Abstract

As the frequency, severity, and costs of safety risks continue to become a challenge for mining industry, the company understood that the existing safety analytic does not provide adequate information, as it has been relying predominantly on collecting and evaluating aggregated data of lagging indicators about past accidents. This method has been negatively driving the organization to carry out repetitive cycle of accident analysis and problem solving, and therefore, undertaking reactive responses. This paper investigated how statistical process control, in particular control charts, can be applied to hazards data, as the leading indicator of accidents, to detect statistically trends in safety process and safety behavior, aiming to control the safety process in real-time manner before the occurrence of accidents. The result showed that the latest iteration of control limits development in Phase 3 is suitable as the control chart for safety process in one of case study mine operation site. Furthermore, the implementation of control charts to hazards data not only it helps the organization to transition its safety analytic to leading indicator analysis, it enables the organization to control safety process in real-time practice and to carry out timely safety intervention long before the potential occurrence of severe accidents, in which within this case, the first early warning signal was triggered 49 days before the occurrence of the fatality accident.

Abstract

In the manufacturing industries, the main problem in process of operating CNC milling machine was chatter effect (self-excited vibration) which increases the quality of the surface roughness. In this study is to determine optimal value of parameters for chatter and surface roughness. The chatter measured using accelerometer MPU-6050 with Arduino by software LabVIEW-2019 based on peaks-FFT value and the surface roughness measured by SJ-301 tester. The research parameters like variable helix angle, spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut using stainless steel 304 by Taguchi method. The optimum parameters value obtained are variable helix 35/38 degrees, spindle speed 3000 RPM, feed rate 150 mm/min and depth of cut 0.4 mm. Based on ANOVA value, the variable helix angle and depth of cut are found to be significant for chatter and surface roughness. The depth of cut was high contribution by ANOVA chatter by 93.84% and surface roughness by 91.93%.

Abstract

In development of technology and product, it’s important to make decisions based on technology trend. Some previous studies obtained technology trend based on patent information. In our previous study, we tried to investigate the state of innovation and the emergence of dominant design by using patent information. We analyzed inkjet printers and NC machines with theme codes and F term codes in Japanese patent classification codes. In this study, we tried to know the change of technology of other products other than inkjet printers or NC machines by using patent information. The target product of this study is camera. Camera products changed its key technology of imaging and recording from analogue film to digital imaging sensor and semiconductor memories. We attempted to obtain this change by using patent information.

Abstract

PLTU PJB UPJ O&M Paiton is a steam power plant which uses coal as a fuel Coal Handling Plant. It is an important unit to control coal supply. Recently, PLTU PJB UPJ O&M Paiton uses coal from many suppliers. That suppliers can be devided in two qualities based on they calorific values, which low rank and high rank. Multi supplier can affect instability of boiler performance if the coal supply to boiler didn’t managed properly. The blending process between high rank coal and low rank coal had been done to solve that problem, but unwanted mixing between supplier still can be happened if there is not proper management in the coal yard. The solution offered to solve the problem is by making design lost to district from actual system, So that, it is necessary to ascertain how the impact of lost to system in CHP. Simulation method is used to know that impact. The simulation is done with EXTEND6TM software by modeling the components of the existing  CHP system.

Abstract

This paper provides a review of the application of blockchain technology in industrial supply chains in general. It aims to investigate how current blockchain technology is and its applications and to look for research loopholes that have not been done before. The theory of several research papers that have been published in journals to date, along with several reports from the grayish literature as a means of streamlining judgments about growing blockchain-based supply chains is included in this review. The research step is to identify papers based on the year of publication so that a theory-based understanding of blockchain technology in the Agro-Industrial Supply Chain ecosystem, between 2007 and 2019. Blockchain technology in the agro-industry supply chain described in the framework in 2018 is 6.57%, while the implication for the case study is 9.11% and identified in the hypothesis with a questionnaire regarding blockchain recognition and exploration so that 4.5% of the blockchain model simulation. Based on the graph, there are 52% of blockchain research articles on the agro-industrial supply chain will be followed up by researchers, thereby increasing the value chain in agro-industry more. Research that discusses the value (value) in the supply chain that occurs from upstream to downstream in the agro-industrial supply chain ecosystem is very little, only around 2%. Excellence blockchain can identify the stakeholders that exist in the supply chain in each ecosystem from upstream to downstream processes so that it can transform a rigid and uncertain supply chain system into an efficient performance supply chain with transparency and trust between stakeholders so that integration, collaboration, and accuracy accurate data information

Abstract

PT BEI is a subsidiary of Bravo Corporation that holds 100 percent-owned and operated interest in Rocka PSC. PT BEI need to improve the flexibility of its workover and well service rigs to be operated across the operating areas to deal with dynamic business plan and rig allocation as a strategy in entering the transition period to the end of concession of Rocka PSC. Well Control equipment associated with the rig contract Scope of Work (SOW) is identified as the main potential causes of why current rigs have less flexibility. A decision-making approach is utilized to find the solution. Well data mapping combined with existing business process and applicable standards review are conducted to determine the minimum Well Control equipment requirement, selection criteria and alternatives. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is utilized as the decision-making method to analyze the alternatives. As the result, a BOP Class II A1-R1 (Annular + Blind-Shear ram) is selected as the fit for purpose Well Control equipment. The solution implementation improves the rig flexibility and saves potential $ 90,000 investment cost per rig for the rig contractors and $ 77,000 cost avoidance per rig for PT BEI.
