Abstract

Abstract A brick building material widely used in the public good urban and rural areas, the bricks used for building construction as non-structural and structural materials in the residential home building or home .As simple non-structural typically used in multi-storey buildings for insulation between rooms, or as a garnish. Community many brick-making business either continuous or seasonal production in the dry season only, that is where the problems that had been there are no standard composition of raw clay bricks. Then conducted the research as an evaluation of the composition of the constituent raw material clay, and performed statistical improvement in the manufacturing process. In the process of the experiments conducted by Taguchi approach. Taguchi experiments carried out by determining the best levels of the factors related to the quality of the bricks will be improved. From research by several factors that are taken, the most dominant factor that can increase the hardness of the brick is a mixture of the composition, the composition of the standard mixture of 90% clay, 5% bran, 5% fine sand has a hardness (voltage crushed) 57 s / to 80 kg / cm 2. By changing the composition of a mixture of 85% clay, 5% bran, 10% fine sand can increase the hardness of 89 s / d 105 kg / cm 2, and at this composition when water reproduced or softer then the resulting brick hardness can be increased again until 145 kg / cm 2.

Abstract

Abstract Perusahaan Pengolahan Ayam Kampung is a company engaged in the processing of chicken that must not be separated from issues related to the effectiveness of the machine. This can be seen with the frequency of damage to the engine due to the damage resulted in a lot of product defects. Therefore we need effective measures in the maintenance of machinery and equipment to tackle and prevent such problems. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a principle of management to improve productivity and efficiency of the production company to use the machine effectively. Not exactly the handling and maintenance of the machine will result in losses that are called by the Big Six Losess. The first step in efforts to increase efficiency in the production of this company is by measuring the effectiveness of the threshing machine feathers using Effectifitas Overall Equipment (OEE) followed by OEE measurement to determine the value of its effectiveness. Next, analysis of causal diagram is to be able to know the real problems that the main cause of losses caused by engine failure. Then, the analysis Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) was conducted to determine the priority improvements in the next period. The conclusion that can be drawn on the threshing machine feathers that the average value of the OEE for the period September 2013 - August 2014 was 65.14%. This indicates that the ability of thresers feathers in achieving their goals and in achieving effective use of machinery / equipment not yet reached the ideal conditions (≥85%). As for affecting the value of OEE based causal analysis is the lack of maintenance of the machine. Meanwhile, based on the analysis of FMEA can be known priority repairs that need to be done, namely: 1) Perform routine engine maintenance (512), 2) Making standards work (392), and Making Rubber threaded component maintenance schedule (320).

Abstract

Abstract Industrial processing of chicken/native is one of the many industry-based food productions. These industry players realize that to provide cheap products, quality, and fast is not enough to make improvements in the company's internal only. But also takes the role of all parties, from suppliers who provide raw materials, transportation companies that send raw materials from suppliers to the industry, as well as the distribution network delivering products into the hands of customers. Performance improvement requires the presence of Supply Chain performance measures beforehand. The results of these measurements will be used as reference for improvement of performance of the Supply Chain. The reason the use of AHP and MILP itself because of these two methods are expected to provide the best solution of existing problems, which AHP method can determine the weighting or desired supplier selection criteria from existing suppliers. While the MILP method alone is expected to maximize profits by considering the risks. The results of the application of the AHP method known value of most major sub-criteria weights that supplier B with value at a price of 0.594 sub-criteria, sub-criteria weights alternative on the quality of 0.493, the sub-criteria weights alternative delivery time of 0.387, an alternative to the sub-criteria weights accuracy number of 0493, and the weight alternative to the sub-supplier performance criteria for 0.374. While based on the application of linear programming methods of forecasting results are known supplier B has a stock of goods which are more stable than other suppliers to stock inventory in July amounted to 18.116 tails, august amounted to 18.524 tails, September amounted to 19.033 tails, October amounted to 19.542 tails, in month of november to 20.068 tails, december amounted to 20.559 tails, and in January next at 21.068 tails.

Abstract

Abstract In the industrial competition, the service field also the manufacturing field  has experienced rapid development.  Each company compete to win the competition to gain market share. The high level of product defects is a serious problem in the Meshindo Alloy Wheel Corporation. It is caused by the complexity of the types of defects that occur in the process. Therefore it is necessary for continuous improvement effort to reduce the rate  of defects that have occurred in the process. This research has implemented the method of QCC (Quality Control Circle) with eight steps to improve quality. The method of QCC used a tool called the seven tools. We propose an improvement plan within a matrix plan improvements through brainstorming process. Our research found that the biggest number of CTQ (Critical To Quality) is the  flaw leaked. Then we do a search the root cause of the problem through a process of brainstorming between QCC teams and the management of company.  We found that the most dominant cause of the defect is the low reliability of the machine,  the lack of rigor operator and low quality of material. In the Pareto diagram , it appears that the largest percentage of leak defect, approximately 45.9 %. The improvement is only performed on the  LT machine (machine of tester of leakage). After repair of the LT machine, the percentage of defects leaking down from 1.86 % to 1.09 %. So there is a decrease of 0.77 % defect rate.

Abstract

Abstract Performance appraisal is a key factor to develop an effective and efficient. Employees faced with a structured and systematic assessment to measure the achievements of the work. Unsatisfaction performance appraisal methods can be a polemical. It happens because of the gap between the expected value to the value of actual performance. Rating scale is one method affected bias and hallo effect. Therefore, it is necessary to design assessment methods better performance. The method of this research is 360 degree feedback. 360 degree feedback is methods in which employees receive confidential, anonymous feedback from the people who work around them. There are 24 employees were assessed in this study. The design competencies and sub-competencies in the performance appraisal form with a 360-degree feedback method prepared by adapting the managerial core competency.Based on 360 degree feedback method, there are many employees who get increased performance assessment compared to the previous assessment method. The increase was influenced by the contribution value of the co-workers, subordinates and themselves.
