Abstract

Abstract Pragmatic learning must be research based. By basing on research, pragmatic learning in language majors and language education will be of high quality. Until now, pragmatic learning is still based on the views of Western experts. On the basis of that concern, the authors sought to examine specific culture-based pragmatics related to the socio-societal context. The results of the study are utilized in pragmatic learning. The main objective of this study is to describe the design of social-societal context learning models in pragmatics. The paradigm that was followed was the Ignasian-based reflective learning paradigm. The learning method applied is the cooperative learning method. The technique applied is a group investigation technique. Furthermore, this research is useful in the following matters: (a) improving and improving the quality of pragmatic learning in tertiary institutions; (b) produce researchers in the field of reliable pragmatics because they are used to wrestling with pragmatic research; (c) developing pragmatics, especially pragmatics based on specific culture.Keywords: Group investigation technique; cooperative learning method; reflective teaching Pembelajaran pragmatik harus berbasis riset. Dengan mendasarkan pada riset, pembelajaran pragmatik di jurusan-jurusan bahasa dan pendidikan bahasa akan berkualitas. Hingga sekarang, pembelajaran pragmatik masih didasarkan pada pandangan pakar Barat. Atas dasar keprihatinan itu, penulis berusaha meneliti pragmatik berbasis kultur spesifik terkait konteks sosial-sosietal. Hasil kajian tersebut dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran pragmatik. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah menggambarkan desain model pembelajaran konteks sosial-sosietal dalam pragmatik. Paradigma yang diikuti adalah paradigma pembelajaran reflektif berbasis Ignasian. Metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan adalah metode pembelajaran kooperatif. Adapun teknik yang diterapkan adalah teknik investigasi kelompok (grup-investigation technique). Selanjutnya, penelitian ini bermanfaat dalam hal-hal berikut: (a) memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran pragmatik di perguruan tinggi; (b) menghasilkan periset-periset bidang pragmatik yang andal karena mereka sudah terbiasa bergulat dengan riset pragmatik; (c) mengembangkan ilmu pragmatik khususnya pragmatik yang berbasis kultur spesifik. Kata Kunci: Group investigation technique; cooperative learning method; pembelajaran reflektif

Abstract

In this 21st century, the spotlight on character education is a priority research goal, and researchers intend to find character values in one of Ciung Wanara's stories. This research has several specific objectives; 1) Describe the text of the story / fairy story of Ciung Wanara, 2) Interpret the morality values (values) contained in the Ciung Wanara story using a semantic approach. The researcher uses the analytical description method. The element of local wisdom implied in it. the morality values found in Ciung Wanara manuscript are: (1) human morality to God (MMT), which explains in the conversation of 2 (two) storytellers namely nini and balangantrang battery. (Grateful for God's creation) (14%), (2) human morals towards humans (MMS), found there were 5 (five) dominant conversations; a) Aki and Nini balangantrang, b) the conversation of the King and Ciung Wanara, c) the statement and treatment of the Resigned Goddess Naganingrum (71%), then (3) Human morality towards nature (MMA) amounted to 1 (one) treatment figure, namely Ciung Wanara statement regarding the beauty of the forms of two animals namely Ciung (Chicken) and Animal Wanara (Monkey) (14%), after summarizing the morality values contained in the script of the story "Ciung Wanara" predominantly leads to the value of Human Morality against fellow Humans (MMM) as much 71%. while other moral values are not interpreted (non-categories).

Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify and describe the respondent's reference to the cover of Tempo: The 2019 September 14th edition of the appointment. Data is obtained from respondents through google forms shared via WhatsApp chat that is examined using the triangle of Odgen & Richards and truth table Keith Allan. Number of respondents 130 people. According to the three meanings of Odgen & Richards, it is considered a liar because it is reference to Pinokio which has the concept of a long nose-like wooden doll that is lying. Moreover, it is considered as an important appointment because it is reference to the appointment of a promise that has a concept of attitude that does not keep the promise. While based on truth table Keith Allan, a liar is a proposition false (F) because the first proposition (P) is the proposition False (F) and the second proposition (Q) is the proposition True (T) so that the straightness of the proposition can be concluded is a false proposition (F). It can be concluded that the pairing of the same with Pinocchio and the promise of appointment is not something absolute and identical with the lies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan peningkatan kemampuan menulis  karangan argumentasi siswa SMK. Menulis merupakan aktivitas yang membutuhkan aktivitas dan kreativitas berfikir. Model yang dapat menumbuhkan aktivitas dan kreativias berfikir adalah metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Teknik jigsaw adalah suatu teknik pembelajaran yang menekankan pada aspek kerjasama dengan pola belajar dalam kelompok kecil yang terdiri dari empat sampai enam orang yang anggotanya dipilih secara heterogen. Siswa bekerja sama saling ketergantungan secara positif dan bertanggung jawab secara mandiri.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode quasi eksperimen dengan ujicoba metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf pada karangan argumentasi.Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis karangan argumentasi. Model ini juga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karangan argumentasi siswa SMK

Abstract

The background of this research is the large number of tendentious reports that are pro or contra against presidential candidate pairs. The purpose of this research is to represent procontra and tendentious news which is spread on social media. The method used is the descriptive method with analytical knife used to elaborate the news text is the van dijk type critical discourse analysis (AWK). Using van Dijk 's analysis knife, it was found that the news on that were distributed on social media did not objektif ethical principles and were tendentious towards presidential candidate pairs

Abstract

Kemampuan menulis merupakan kemampuan yang kompleks, yang menuntut sejumlah pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dengan guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas X di salah satu SMA saat ini kemampuan menulis masih rendah, karena kemampuan menulis menghendaki penguasaan berbagai unsur kebahasaan. Salah satu kemampuan menulis yang harus dikuasai siswa adalah menyusun teks pidato. Rendahnya siswa menulis teks pidato adalah kurangnya kebahasaan yang dimiliki, kurang mampunya menemukan bahan tulisan, dan kurang motivasi dalam pembelajaran. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini yaitu 1. Bagaimana perencanaan pembelajaran menyusun teks pidato menggunakan metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada siswa kelas X, 2. Bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran menyusun teks pidato menggunakan metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada siswa kelas X, dan 3. Apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil kemampuan menyusun teks pidato pada siswa yang menggunakan dan yang tidak menggunakan metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek? Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain control group pre-test-post-test design. Kelas eksperimen pembelajarannya menggunakan metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan metode ceramah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata nilai pretest kelas ekperimen 54,42 dan kelas kontrol 48,76, kemudian hasil uji T pretest diperoleh sig. 0,109. Nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen 80,60 sedangkan pada  kelas kontrol sebesar 69,86, kemudian perhitungan MannWhitney pada posttest diperoleh hasil 0,0245. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan menulis teks pidato menggunakan metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek mampu meningkatkan pembelajaran siswa daripada yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa.Kata kunci : Metode Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek, Menulis Teks Pidato

Abstract

Pembelajaran menulis adalah salah satu aktivitas yang dilakukan guru dan siswa di dalam mencapai tahap belajar. Aktivitas menulis sangat membutuhkan variasi dan cara pembelajaran yang dapat menumbuhkan minat dalam memproduksi tulisan yang berkualitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menulis laporan ilmiah berbasis kecakapan vokasional dan untuk mengentahui efektivitas metode learning cycle dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian PreetestPosttest With Control Group Design yaitu memberikan suatu perlakuan kepada subjek penelitian dan dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa siswa SMK mampu menulis laporan ilmiah berbasis kecakapan vokasional dan metode learning cycle efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis laporan ilmiah berbasis kecakapan vokasional.

Abstract

The discourse entitled "Jumlah Sampah Pesta Tahun Baru Turun" becomes the center of critical discourse analysis in this study. The formulation of the problem of this research is how to explain critical linguistics, especially language transformation as well as nominalization, and how to analyze the discourse in the discourse "Jumlah Sampah Pesta Tahun Baru Turun " in Kompas media using a critical linguistic scalpel. Based on this formulation, this study aims to explain about Critical Linguistics, especially transformation and nominalization effects, and to describe the results of discourse analysis in the discourse "Jumlah Sampah Pesta Tahun Baru Turun" in Kompas media using a Critical Linguistic scalpel. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study indicate that the transformation and nominalization effects are thick on the discourse being analyzed. This shows that the use of language in a discourse is able to provide an understanding of different images compared to telling other subjects.

Abstract

Indonesian learning is carried out with various learning approaches. One of them is text based language learning approach or what is known as genre based text/ genre approach. One form of learning implemented using this approach is the activity of converting texts. This research method is qualitative research. The research was carried out at Musi Charitas Catholic University with a population of 382 writings and a sample of 180 random samples was determined. The study was conducted with pen and paper based text, which provides writing texts to students studied. The students studied were asked to read the predetermined news text, analyze the topics contained in the news, then write a simple essay text based on the results of the analysis. The student's writing is then assessed by two people and the final grade is determined by calculating the average of the scores of the two assessors. The results showed 67.2% of students studied were able to convert text from news texts into simple essay texts. While there are 13% of students who do not change the structure of their writing so that it can be stated that the student has not / converted the text.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of students' ability to know, understand and write the text of the observation report as measured by the results of the evaluation and previous interviews with students randomly. Besides, due to the inaccurate use of models, methods, approaches or strategies that are commonly used by teachers in the learning process, it raises problems in planning, implementation and the resulting products. Based on the analysis and observations, the researcher formulated a problem in how the form of planning, implementation and evaluation results from learning to write observation texts using the discovery approach. From the research formulation, the researcher has a specific research objective, namely to determine the planning, implementation and learning outcomes of writing a text report on the observation results using the discovery approach. To achieve this goal, the research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on previous studies that have succeeded in improving learning outcomes. The subjects of the study were students of class X SMA XIX Kartika 1 Bandung in the 2018-2019 academic year. Based on the results of the description and analysis of data discussion in cycle 1 and cycle II, the ability of students in the Observation Result Report (LHO) material increased by 35%. It can be concluded that the students' abilities have increased through the discovery approach in understanding and writing texts both in terms of text structure and language.
