Abstract

Short stories are stories that have a short physical appearance. Generally, the numbers are around 500-5,000 words. Mind map is the utilization of the whole brain by using visual images and other graphic infrastructure to form a deeper impression. The purpose of this study to 1) Know the learning of short story writing before giving treatment 2) Know the learning of short story writing after being given treatment 3) Know the difference in learning outcomes of short story writing on students who learn by using traditional learning models with students who learn by using mind map learning models. Methodologically, this study uses a quasi-experimental method with a mind map learning model. The use of mind maps is intended so that students can more easily create a writing framework before writing a short story in its entirety. This is the reference for students in writing short stories. Then students begin to compile the story by referring to the mind map framework they made, by referring to aspects of the short story including aspects of content, aspects of structure, and aspects of language rules. From the entire series of research conducted, it can be concluded that there are differences in learning outcomes of short story writing from class XI students of SMA Negeri 4 Cimahi who learn by using a mind map learning model better than those using conventional learning models.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research which aims to examine the knowledge and skills of writing fantasy stories between MTs students who use the Inductive approach with ordinary learning. Researchers accept the condition of the subject as it is. In instrument trial calculations and data processing using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 24 programs. The results showed: (1) The knowledge ability of writing fantasy stories of MTs students whose learning uses an inductive approach is better than those using ordinary learning with an average of 66.98 (experimental class) and 51.40 (control class); (2) The ability of MTs students to write fantasy stories whose learning uses the inductive approach is better than those who use ordinary learning with an average of 74.30 (experimental class) and 53.60 (control class); (3) There is a very strong association between knowledge skills and fantasy story writing skills with a Q value of 0.80; (4) The difficulties experienced by students in completing questions and practical assignments in writing fantasy story texts were generally in the indicators of improving fantasy stories in terms of diction, dialogue sentences, and punctuation errors.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research with the approach of Pragmasemantic theory and Speech Act theory. Pragmasemantic theory is basically a theory used to study the use of language based on meanings that take into account the intralingual and extralingual contexts. Mean while, speech act theory is essentially a theory that wants to explain that each utterance always contains three elements, namely locution, illocution, and perlocution. The purpose of this study is (a) to describe the language functions that can be used to campaign for Covid-19 deployment control, (b) describe vocabulary that has touch power and can be used to campaign for Covid-19 deployment control, (c) describe language slogans that can used to campaign for Covid-19 deployment control, and (d) describe persuasive language forms that can be used to campaign for Covid-19 deployment control. Research data sources are students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, S1 and S2 programs which can be reached via online media, email or WA. Research data in the form of words, phrases, sentences that show the function of language, vocabulary that has the power of touch, slogans that can encourage, persuasive language that can persuade speech partners compiled by students. Data collection techniques are carried out by sending instruments via email or WA, then students are asked to fill out and send back to researchers. The collected data is then inventoryed and codified to determine incoming data that is suitable for analysis. The analysis techniques are (1) identifying data, (b) classifying data, (c) interpreting data with the intention of being able to interpret Covid-19 ways of controlling, and (d) preparing reports in the form of journal articles.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the weak ability of students in writing activities. One of the internal factors is the laziness that mounts to start writing, the rigidity of words, and confusion in writing. The purpose of this research is to apply a psychotransmitter communication technique in learning writing to foster writing intelligence. The psychotransmitter technique is a communication technique built through subconscious communication. Psychotransmitters are another name for subjective terms of communication (one-way communication) or telepathy where we can convey a message to someone we want to address so that what we want to convey enters the human subconscious mind. According to research, the subconscious mind affects 80% of the human mind. One of the benefits of this technique is that it can change a person's ego, self-esteem, emotions so that he will be cheated by his ego. Thus we can influence his thoughts with established communication. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, the writer will explain clearly the steps to develop the intelligence to write short stories. The steps are clearly described based on the theory of NLP, hypnosis, and communication techniques. The results of this study are expected that students can change bad habits into good habits, namely writing skills or writing intelligence. The results of this study will produce writing stages using psychotransmitters.

Abstract

One type of phonetic study is the accompanying sound. The sound of inclusion indaily life is often not recognized. This is becouse the accompanying sound is produced accidentally by the speaker. Assessment of speech sound can improve the ability of students to listen and identify one type of phonetic study, teh sound of inclusion. The research method used is a qualitative research method with descriptive analysis research type. The data in this study were divided into primary data in the from of songs sung by singer Yura Yunita and secondary data in the from of books, journals, and articles. Data analysis is done by collecting all the notes in the fiels, then reducing the data in the form of sound, after that present it into a pattern that is formed, to produce conclusions. Based on the results of an analysis of two songs entitled “Malam Sunyi” and “ Harus Bahagia” found thirtteen accompanying sounds. The thirteen accompanying sounds are included in teh types of sounds including labisation, palatalization, retroflexion, glottalization, aspiration, and nasalization. Thus, teh song spoken by Yura Yunita can be used as an alternative teaching materials for phonology courses, especially in the accompanying soun materials.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low basic literacy problem of children. Based on news from Republika (Darma, 2020) states that the ability to process information through literacy or literacy culture in Indonesian society is very low. Chairman of the Indonesian Literacy Culture Development Forum Satria Darma said, based on research results from international institutions, the literacy culture of the Indonesian people is very low compared to other countries in the world. The reading position of Indonesian students ranks 57th out of the 65 countries studied (PISA). "PISA said, the literacy results of students in Indonesia are below level three and one, only 0.4% have literacy level four," he said. Based on these problems the researchers were moved to conduct a study about family education in strengthening basic literacy in children. in order to contribute to knowledge about how family education is to strengthen basic literacy in children. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, the problems in this study are described clearly based on the theory of family education in strengthening literacy in children so that they become provisions in educating children. from this research, it produces knowledge and ways to educate families to strengthen basic literacy in children.

Abstract

Sebelum pandemi perkuliahan inovasi pembelajaran telah menggunakan metode lesson study secara luring. Permasalahan terjadi saat perkuliahan tiba-tiba harus dilaksanakan secara daring. Dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang tepat dan efektif untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran. Aplikasi zoom meeting dan google classroom terpilih menjadi media utama. Pertanyaan yang timbul apakah kedua aplikasi ini efektif dalam mata kuliah inovasi pembelajaran? Bagaimana rancangan dan respons mahasiswa terhadap pemanfaatan aplikasi zoom meeting dan GCR dalam MK Inovasi melaui lesson study? Penelitian dilaksanakan secara daring dengan sampel mahasiswa IKIP Siliwangi semester 5. Penelitian menggunakan teknik angket dan observasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) Rancangan pemanfaatan aplikasi zoom meeting dan google classroom telah dilaksanakan dengan kategori baik. Kegiatan pembelajaran meliputi kegiatan plan, do, dan see. 2) Hasil angket menunjukkan efektivitas zoom meeting dan GCR berada di kategori cukup baik. 71% mahasiswa menyatakan zoom meeting dan google classroom bermanfaat dalam perkuliahan. Namun, tidak dapat diabaikan masih terdapat beberapa kendala seperti sinyal, jaringan, dan kuota yang dialami oleh mahasiswa selama pembelajaran.

Abstract

The demands of learning in the 4.0 era require students not only to learn but to interpret learning as a whole, besides that during the pandemic period, learning is done online. The importance of literacy activities among students is not only limited to reading and writing skills but must include two other language skills such as listening skills and speaking skills. To hone these four skills requires continuous activities. Many students are skilled in writing skills but lacking in speaking skills. This can be overcome with a multiliterative learning model that optimizes the four language skills as well as other aspects such as the use of technology and the surrounding environment that can be used as learning materials. After the multiliteration learning stage is achieved, it is expected that students' interpersonal intelligence will change. How they understand other people's situations, how to empathize, work together in groups. This study aims to determine the optimization of the multiliteration learning model in improving interpersonal intelligence in writing literary subjects and to determine the results of multiliterative learning in making short stories. The method used in this research is pre-experimental method. Experimental research using one class with a research sample of 40 students. The results showed that this method was effectively used in improving interpersonal intelligence in writing literary works. The short story writing test results obtained by an average of 63.50 at the pretest while the posttest average was 83.13, so there was an increase of 19.63.

Abstract

  Abstract On thecondition that many problems found in language use, particularly in mass media, an early age language guidance is essentially endeavored, which is in elementary school stage. Therefore, students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, as one component of language development, were given an opportunity to participate in solving that problem. The aims of this study is to discover students’ creativity in implementing language guidance in elementary school. Through mentoring program, they did the planning, implementing, and evaluating the language guidance in group. Descriptive research method used in this study. Observation technique, test, and questionnaire were implemented to examine students’creativity. The data was collected as video recording, media, method, and written report of guidance result. The outcome shows that students’ creativity in implementing language guidance in  elementary school was included in creative category, hence, the program of language guidance on this stage is able to be continued so that Indonesian language can be used in proper way.   Abstrak  Dengan banyaknya permasalahan dalam penggunaan bahasa, terutama di media massa, maka diupayakan perlunya pembinaan bahasa sejak dini, yakni di sekolah dasar (SD). Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia sebagai salah satu komponen pembina bahasa diberi kesempatan untuk berperan serta dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kreativitas mahasiswa yang diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan pembinaan bahasa di  SD. Melalui program pendampingan, mahasiswa merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan mengevaluasi kegiatan pembinaan bahasa yang dilakukannya secara berkelompok. Metode penelitian deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Teknik observasi, tes, dan kuesioner digunakan untuk mengetahui kreativitas mahasiswa tersebut. Data penelitian ini berupa video rekaman kegiatan, media dan metode yang digunakan, dan laporan tertulis hasil pembinaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas mahasiswa dalam melakukan pembinaan bahasa di SD termasuk kategori kreatif, sehingga program pembinaan bahasa di tingkatan ini dapat diteruskan untuk mewujudkan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan di IKIP Siliwangi pada saat proses kegiatan belajar mengajar berlangsung. Berdasarkan hasil obeservasi diketahui bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran mata kuliah fonologi dengan menggunakan metode presentasi yang dilakukan mahasiswa pada media whats up massenger, mahasiswa cenderung menggunakan alih kode dan campur kode bahasa daerah dan bahasa Indonesia ( bahasa sunda dan bahasa Indonesia) bahkan tak jarang mahasiswa memadukan dengan bahasa gaul/alay. Hal ini tentunya menarik untuk diteliti, sehingga dapat memberikan gambaran penggunaan alih kode dan campur kode yang dilakukan mahasiswa pada saat mempresentasikan materi. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui bentuk alih kode dan campur kode bahasa yang digunakan oleh Mahasiswa IKIP Siliwangi pada saat presentasi dan untuk mengetahui alasan-alasan yang mempengaruhi terjadinya alih kode dan campur kode. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatitif. Dalam metode penelitian deskriptif disebut juga metode penelitian naturalistic karena penelitiannya dilakukan pada kondisi yang alamamiah) kualitatif bersifat sementara, tentatif, dan akan berkembang atau berganti setelah peneliti berada di lapangan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa saat presentasi mahasiswa cenderung melakukan alih kode dan campur kode. Alasan mahasiswa melakukan alih kode dan campur kode  sangat beragam diantaranya adalah Faktor kebiasaan, gugup, Mengikuti situasi dan kondisi lingkungan, pemaparan lebih cepat, ekspresif,  komunikatif. Serta tujuan mahasiswa beralih kode dan campur kode adalah  mempermudah ketika menyampaikan materi, Menjelaskan materi yang sulit agar menjadi lebih mudah disampaikan, memperlancar komunikasi, Memperjelas argument yang dijelaskan, serta membangun koneksi agar lebih   dekat
