Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of learning, teacher and student responses, and to find out the difficulties experienced by class X SMK students in completing tasks in learning to write procedural texts using the NLP model. The research method used was descriptive quantitative with a sample of 38 students of SMK class X TO. The results obtained are as follows: (1) the implementation of learning is carried out in two meetings with the results of observations showing a very good category (2) the teacher's response to the implementation of learning is at a very good level, as well as student responses. (3) students' difficulties in implementing learning, namely when answering questions related to aspects of knowledge and skills in diction or word choice.

Abstract

The unquestionable privilege of the bahasa Indonesia from elementary school to university still requires carefull planning in its practice learning. Language planning of bahasa Indonesia is various development processes to strengthen its position an function as the national and official language of this country. Bahasa Indonesia was a language of instruction in learning activities. Supposedly, in the world of education, the empowerment of bahasa Indonesia as a science can be felt clearly, directly and right on target. From aforementioned description, this research is aimed to discover how the implementation of bahasa Indonesia language planning on every level class of education is, 2013 Curriculum. In data analysis, the authors use qualitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques. In the next process, the descriptive method is applied as an attempt to provide an overview, or describe the research objectives.  The result shows that the implementation of Indonesia languange planning have basically been going well. This is proven by the existence of plans in the curriculum: however, there is still one challenge i.e. teenagers who prefer to speak foreign language in their daily lives. Thus, this sould be an important concern for teachers, so that language planning of bahasa Indonesia can be clearer and more focused.

Abstract

Online learning conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic requires teachers to be creative in implementing strategies to convey material by building a strong and progressive pedagogical atmosphere. This study aims to describe the use of literature teaching materials based on the Wiki-Structured Application (WSA) as a solution to a pedagogical crisis so that online learning by teachers is substantially as effective as offline learning. Indonesian junior high school teachers were involved in this study. Quantitative-descriptive method is used in this study. Data collection was carried out by using a survey of learning using these teaching materials. Presentation of data uses descriptive statistics either using numerical or graphical representations. The results show that 1) The teacher feels that WSA is helped in managing teaching materials, especially in literature 2) WSA is effectively used as a medium for learning literature 3) WSA contains features that can visualize abstract concepts in literature subjects.

Abstract

This study discusses discourse analysis of news texts entitled ”Sekitar 4 Ribu Pemudik Positif Corona, Satgas Covid-19: Masih Berpotensi Meningkat!” which was published on May 13, 2021 on the official website newsetup.kontan.co.id. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the news text entitled “Sekitar 4 Ribu Pemudik Positif Corona, Satgas Covid-19: Masih Berpotensi Meningkat!” contains the elements contained in van Dijk's discourse theory, then qualifies the results according to the predetermined categories. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a discourse analysis approach to the Teun A. van Dijk model. The discourse theory divides the structure of the text into three levels, namely the macro structure, super structure, and micro structure. The result was found that the news text entitled “Sekitar 4 Ribu Pemudik Positif Corona, Satgas Covid-19: Masih Berpotensi Meningkat!” does not meet the elements text contained in van Dijk's discourse theory. The elements contained in the news text analyzed include coherence, conditional coherence, sentence form, pronouns, setting, details, intent, lexicon, and graphics. In addition, it can be concluded that journalists show a neutral attitude towards the pros and cons that occur as a result of the prohibition against going home through the published news.

Abstract

The emergence of Covid-19 in various countries including Indonesia has become a problem that has taken a lot of public attention and has an impact in every area of people's lives, including education. Since it was announced that Covid-19 is a pandemic that needs to be addressed immediately and appropriately, the education sector from PAUD to tertiary institutions has taken a big step, namely carrying out bold learning. This decision was taken to maintain the quality of learning and the output of students in order to maintain good competence. To ensure that there are many factors that become successes or obstacles to the implementation of learning, then evaluate it appropriately so that the objectives of the learning implementation are achieved. Based on this description, this study aims to determine the quality of the learning program through work from home Covid-19 in the IKIP Siliwangi environment. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study are known from the distribution of questionnaires and observation sheets used in collecting data on the learning program through courage during the Covid-19 pandemic, as seen from the answers to the questionnaire and the acquisition of observation sheets with a percentage of 70%. Thus, it can be said that the results of the evaluation of the future learning program for the Covid-19 pandemic in the IKIP Siliwangi environment with a sample of thirty-five students went well and effectively.

Abstract

The background of this research seen from the mass media, especially television, has become a necessity in addressing the perspectives that occur in society. Television can determine the ideology, interests and points of view to influence others. This study aims to describe Najwa Shihab's partisanship, social cognition, and context in the Mata Najwa event at Trans7 regarding the Omnibus Law: Job Creation in Trans7 Model Teun A. Van Dijk. This type of research is qualitative with a Critical Discourse Analysis (AWK) system approach. The data is in the form of speeches from the presenters in the Mata Najwa program with the concept of taking part in the host, whether to the "Pro Team" (to the government), whether to the "contra team" (to non-government) or not taking sides with both (idependent). Results Based on research and discussion, the number of sentences found in the interactive dialogue “kubu” Pro is 35 sentences. Next, the counter “stronghold” reveals 41 sentences. Based on this research, it is clear that in the program hosted by Najwa Shibab, the sentence structure used has an ideology and characteristics that are impartial, independent, and open. This means that based on the sentence issued by the speaker (the presenter) it is below 50%. This means that the media does not take sides with the government, the counter team, or others. This event purely displays polemics and events that occur in society. Meanwhile, the context of the birth of this event cannot be separated from the polemic of the Job Creation Law which has attracted public attention.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze out the implementation of viewing skills in the teaching materials of Indonesian in senior and vocational high schools for Sekolah Penggerak Program, starting from the type of viewing skills, the strategy of viewing skills, until the learning step of viewing skills learning. The method used in this research was descriptive. The collection data technique used the document analysis of the instructional goals of Prototype Curriculum and teaching materials Indonesian for senior and vocational schools of Sekolah Penggerak Program. The result of the research showed that the implementation of viewing skills was the step of visual literacy viewing and critical viewing. In the step of visual literacy, the instructional process of viewing skills learning was included in the exploration phase by integrating various strategies to re-write the information, either in the form of summary or infographic. Meanwhile, in the critical viewing phase, viewing skills learning was on the more advanced level by evaluating complex multimodal text with various strategies, understanding the relationship between texts, and making deep analyses with logical and critical argumentation.

Abstract

Reading is a skill that must be possessed by students. Ideally, every student has adequate reading skills according to their level of education. This is because in daily activities at school, all learning activities cannot be separated from reading skills. However, in reality, many students do not have adequate reading skills, both reading comprehension and creative reading. The learning model cannot be separated from the success of a lesson. The aims of this study were (1) to determine the condition of the reading comprehension learning model in SMP Negeri 1 Purbalingga; (2) to know how the profile of the Quantum Reading model is; (3) to determine the effectiveness of the Quantum Reading Oriented Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) learning model in learning reading comprehension. The research method used is the development method with the stages of preliminary studies, literature studies, and field surveys; limited model development phase and expanded trial; the model validation stage is in the form of an experiment. The research results obtained are (1) the conditions for using learning models in reading comprehension at SMP Negeri 1 Purbalingga before the research was carried out using quantum reading, only using the direct method and assignments; (2) Quantum Reading learning is considered effective in improving students' reading comprehension skills at SMP Negeri 1 Purbalingga (3) with Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) orientation, students understand reading better, as a basis for carrying out the teaching and learning process in any subject.

Abstract

The use of technology in the learning process is an effort to encourage renewal so that the learning process becomes more effective. Utilization of technology in learning can be used in learning media. One of the uses of learning media that uses digital technology is the use of Canva and Quizizz applications. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of learning media assisted by the Canva and Quizizz applications in learning fable texts for junior high school students. The Canva application is a web-based platform that can be used to create various attractive designs. The material for the learning video will be using Canva's design, namely fable text. Meanwhile, Quizizz is a web tool to create interactive quiz games that are used as test assessment tools. The use of Quizizz is expected to make it easier for teachers to carry out assessment tests. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Based on the research results, Canva and Quizizz applications can be used as online learning media. The use of these two applications makes the learning process not boring, because there are features, templates, designs that can be used to make digital learning media interesting. The use of Canva and the quizizz application is expected to be an alternative for teachers in improving the learning of fable texts for junior high school students.

Abstract

Today's teachers are not only fixated on their professional competencies, but in the 21st century a teacher gets demands for additional competencies based on technology, critical thinking, creative and innovative. This research aims to describe some of the demands for the competence of a professional Indonesian teacher in facing the 21st century. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive with the Systemic Literature Review method as steps to describe the competence of a professional Indonesian teacher in the 21st century. Data collection is carried out through secondary data, namely a study the theory and the results of previous studies that have been carried out by researchers through access to google schooler, google trend, google maps, publish or perish. The data collection analysis technique in this study was through the steps of describing, comparing, and evaluating or describing. findings. The results show that the demands for the competence of Indonesian language professional teachers do not have to be fixed in 4 components such as pedagogical, professional, personality and social but also must have additional Technological Pedogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Innovation (TPACK) skills. 4C), Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTs), Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and digital literacy.
