Abstract

Produktivitas kopi yang terus berfluktuasi menunjukkan adanya risiko produksi yang dihadapi petani setiap tahunnya. Sistem budidaya kopi di Kabupaten Bandung terdiri dari agroforestri dan non-agroforestri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi dan risiko produksi pada budidaya kopi arabika agroforestri dan non-agroforestri di Kabupaten Bandung, Jawa Barat. Responden penelitian adalah petani agroforestri sebanyak 144 orang dan petani non agroforestri sebanyak 56 orang. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan transfromasi logaritma model Just and Pope yang diestimasi dengan metode OLS (Ordinary Least Square), sedangkan fungsi risiko produksi diestimasi dengan metode MLE (Maximum Likelihood Estimation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan faktor produksi dan faktor risiko produksi pada kedua sistem budidaya kopi. Perbedaan faktor produksi terletak pada input tenaga kerja yang hanya berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap sistem agroforestri. Sedangkan input pupuk anorganik dan pestisida anorganik berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap sistem non-agroforestri. Perbedaan faktor risiko produksi terletak pada input yang merupakan faktor pemicu risiko, terdapat tenaga kerja dan pupuk organik pada sistem agroforestri, dan input yang merupakan faktor pengurang risiko, terdapat pupuk anorganik pada sistem agroforestri. Persamaan faktor pemicu risiko pada kedua sistem adalah luas lahan dan pestisida anorganik. Penelitian ini nantinya berguna untuk merumuskan kebijakan efektif peningkatan produksi kopi yang tetap berkelanjutan dari berbagai aspek.

Abstract

Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L) is a horticultural commodity commonly grown by farmers in the Merapi mountain region. The productivity and price of cayenne pepper have fluctuated significantly in recent years, both at the national level and in the Merapi mountain region. This study aims to describe the types, sources, and levels of risk, analyze and assess risk management in cayenne pepper farming based on risk levels, risk mapping, and total household income analysis of cayenne pepper farmers in the Merapi mountain region. The sample consisted of 100 farmers selected through simple random sampling, criteria including being residents who have been farming cayenne pepper for 10 years in the Merapi mountain region, growing cayenne pepper in the area, making cayenne pepper the main commodity on their land, and farmers who have sources of income outside of farming or do not have sources of income outside of farming. Data analysis includes risk analysis, total household income analysis, and quantitative descriptive analysis. In the Pakem District, the values for production risk, price risk, and profit risk are 67%, 8%, and 120%, respectively. In the Dukun District, these values are 55%, 14%, and 240%, respectively. Finally, in the Selo District, the values are 45%, 7%, and 84%, respectively. The analysis of farmers' household income is divided into two categories: farmers who have income outside of farming and those who do not have income outside of farming in each district. The highest average total household income of Cayenne pepper farmers is in the Selo District, with an average monthly income of Rp. 4,903,512. Important considerations in agricultural risk management include providing insurance for cayenne pepper, developing markets, and diversifying land use.

Abstract

Cold storage yang dibangun Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) di berbagai daerah sebagai salah satu implementasi kebijakan Sistem Logistik Ikan Nasional (SLIN) yang bertujuan untuk menjaga ketersediaan ikan untuk bahan baku industri dan konsumsi dalam negeri. Cold storage 1.000 ton didirikan untuk menjadi role model sarana buffer stock milik pemerintah di Wilayah Jakarta namun dalam implementasinya masih mengalami kendala karena pemanfaatannya belum optimal dan belum menarik minat pelaku perikanan dalam cakupan yang lebih luas. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji sistem kelembagaan yang diterapkan dalam pengelolaan cold storage 1.000 ton dari perspektif bisnis. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus di cold storage pemerintah yaitu cold storage berkapasitas 1.000 ton yang terletak di Muara Baru, Jakarta Utara. Analisis kelembagaan pengelolaan cold storage dilakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan teori Ekonomi Kelembagaan Baru. Output analisis yang diharapkan berupa penilaian terhadap kelembagaan yang berjalan apakah telah sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip ekonomi kelembagaan baru dan teori yang mendukung lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelembagaan cold storage 1.000 ton masih membutuhkan peningkatan pengelolaan. Aspek yang paling berkontribusi terhadap kurangnya kinerja bisnis di cold storage tersebut adalah property right dan flexibility and adaptability. Implikasi yang dapat diberikan adalah perbaikan kelembagaan melalui 1) pengembangan model bisnis yang lebih customize dengan kebutuhan pengguna, 2) pembentukan badan atau lembaga yang lebih otoritatif dalam layanan publik, 3) penyelarasan insentif dan membangun kerja sama dengan cakupan pengguna yang lebih luas, 4) penerapan standar prosedur yang diimbangi komitmen kepatuhan dari stakeholders dan kontrol yang kuat, 5) peningkatan kecepatan dan fleksibilitas layanan serta 6) penetapan harga yang kompetitif.

Abstract

Mangrove could be consumable and non-consumable products. Non-consumable products have begun to be developed mangroves for natural dyes and making edible films (food product preservatives). The aim of this research is to analyze business feasibility and analyze the added value of non-consumable processed products from mangrove forests. This research is a quantitative research using primary and secondary data obtained by observation and interview techniques at non-consumable mangrove forest product processors. The research was conducted from September 2022 to March 2023. The business feasibility analysis method is determined by calculating income, profits, Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C ratio), Break Event Point (BEP), Payback Period and Return Of Investment (ROI), while the method value added analysis was carried out using the Hayami 1987 method. The results showed that the business of processing mangroves into natural dyes and edible films was worth pursuing and profitable as indicated by a positive ROI value, R/C ratio > 1, sales BEP < selling price, production BEP > quantity production with PP < 1 year. The added value of the product in processed edible film is higher than the added value in processed natural dyes with a coefficient factor of 2 and a business owner's profit of 79.03% for natural dyes and a factor coefficient of 600 and a business owner's profit of 98.87% for edible film.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the main exporters of coffee commodities. Indonesia's coffee production is mostly exported abroad and the rest is to meet domestic needs. Indonesia's coffee exports cover five continents, namely Asia, Africa, Australia, the Americas, and Europe, with the main market share in Europe. This study aims to (1) analyze the market share of Indonesian coffee bean exports in the international market, and (2) analyze the market position of Indonesian coffee bean exports in the international market using the Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) approach. This study uses secondary data in the form of monthly time series for 12 years from 2010 to 2021 with HS code 0901111 (coffee, not roasted, not decaffeinated). The results show Indonesia's coffee bean export market share is third after Brazil and Colombia. Indonesia's price elasticity (uncompensa/1ted) is inelastic and has a negative relationship. The cross-price elasticity (compensated) between Indonesia and Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Uganda is negative and indicates a complementary and inelastic relationship. The expenditure elasticity of Indonesian coffee exports is negative, indicating that Indonesian coffee is included in inferior goods and is inelastic.

Abstract

Kebanyakan produk ramah lingkungan yang dibeli oleh konsumen adalah makanan. Meski demikian, barang-barang kesehatan atau kosmetik juga dilirik oleh para konsumen dikarenakan kesadaran konsumen terhadap kepedulian lingkungan. Berkaitan dengan produk ramah lingkungan, PCP ramah lingkungan terdiri dari perawatan kulit, perawatan rambut, kosmetik warna, dan perlengkapan mandi. Produk ini menggunakan bahan-bahan alami, tidak menggunakan organisme hasil rekayasa genetika, menggunakan pupuk dan pestisida organik yang terbuat dari bahan alami minim residu saat pemakaian secara rutin dan tidak mengandung bahan kimia berbahaya. Rata-rata konsumen yang menggunakan kosmetik dan personal care adalah anak-anak muda yang berusia 20-28 tahun. Ini semakin menunjukkan bahwa konsumen Indonesia mulai tertarik mengonsumsi jenis produk ramah lingkungan khususnya di kalangan Generasi Z. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis faktor yang memengaruhi kepedulian lingkungan dan faktor lainnya terhadap niat membeli personal care product ramah lingkungan pada kalangan Generasi Z. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 200 responden. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap konsumen terhadap produk ramah lingkungan tidak berpengaruh terhadap niat pembelian personal care product ramah lingkungan. Hal ini dikarenakan konsumen banyak yang belum berminat membeli personal care product ramah lingkungan dikarenakan ragu akan kebenaran klaim personal care product ramah lingkungan yang mengandung bahanbahan alami dan mudah didapat.

Abstract

The rising price of red chili is associated with the production availability at the farm level. Meanwhile, the price increase has not been sufficient to impact on farmers' income positively. Production problems can not only be explained through production factors but other factors also contribute. Technical efficiency is an analytical method that measures production factors and external factors directly. Spatial measurement may lead to policy bias. Therefore, this study aims to measure and analyze the factors that affect the level of technical efficiency of Indonesian red chili. This study applied the Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) method to measure and analyze the factors affecting the technical efficiency of Indonesian red chili. All production inputs, including seeds, chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizers, pesticides, labor, and harvest areas, affect the improvement of Indonesian red chili production. Inefficiency factors that can increase the level of technical efficiency of red chili are education, technology, farmer groups, planting season, land type, cropping system, and the utilization of certified seeds. While access to credit, cooperative membership, and subsidies can reduce the level of technical efficiency of Indonesian red chili. The average technical efficiency level of Indonesian red chili is 0,6525. A reassessment of subsidy policies and access to credit and development of agricultural institutions are possible policies that could be considered by the government to improve the production and technical efficiency level of Indonesian red chili.

Abstract

Vegetables are an important subsector of horticulture and play a crucial role in agribusiness development in Indonesia. One of the major vegetable production centers is Bogor Regency, West Java. Vegetable production in Bogor Regency from 2016 to 2021 showed a relative increase, despite fluctuations in the harvested area. This increase in production, along with fluctuations in land area, has led to improved productivity. The increase in productivity is believed to be due to farmers’ adoption of entrepreneurial orientation and competence. The objectives of this study were to: 1) analyze the influence of entrepreneurial orientation on farm performance, 2) analyze the influence of entrepreneurial orientation on entrepreneurial competence, 3) analyze the influence of entrepreneurial competence on farm performance, and 4) analyze the mediating effect of entrepreneurial competence on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and farm performance. The sampling method used in this study was multistage random sampling, whereas the analysis methods employed included descriptive analysis and PLS-SEM analysis. The results indicate that 1) entrepreneurial orientation has a significant impact on farm performance, 2) entrepreneurial orientation has a significant impact on entrepreneurial competence, 3) entrepreneurial competence has a significant impact on farm performance, and 4) entrepreneurial competence can mediate the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and farm performance.

Abstract

Nowadays, many consumers search and compare reviews online before making a purchase decision, including accessing information from @FOODFESS2. By sharing information on @FOODFESS2 via Twitter, consumers can easily find reviews of various foods and beverages, including Esteh Indonesia products. Electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM) information disseminated by Autobase members on @FOODFESS2 is very effective in influencing consumer decisions to buy Esteh Indonesia products. This study aims to analyze the influence of electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM) on purchasing decisions for Esteh Indonesia products. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS analysis. The results of SEM-PLS analysis show that the dimension of positive emotional expression has a significant influence on purchasing decisions for Esteh Indonesia products. Meanwhile, Esteh Indonesia's purchasing decision was not significantly influenced by the dimensions of platform assistance, concern for other customers, release of negative emotions and asking for advice. Based on the results of this survey, Esteh Indonesia is motivated to continue to improve product quality, improve customer service, continue to invite consumers to share their positive experiences and collect customer experiences so that consumers can share their positive experiences with Esteh Indonesia.

Abstract

Coffee nowadays has been chosen by people to consume while relaxing or to spend time in groups. Filosofi Kopi, located in several strategic areas in Jakarta, offers many kinds of popular espresso – based coffee products to consumers. Unfortunately, Filosofi Kopi has not implemented a suitable marketing strategy for its business operations. This is an important thing for business owners to analyze what consumers need as target market. Therefore, marketing mix 9P analysis must be done in order to evaluate consumer satisfaction, which has an impact on consumer loyalty of competing with competitors. The purpose of this research is to analyze the level of Filosofi Kopi customer satisfaction and loyalty by using the marketing mix 9P strategy. Satisfaction and loyalty levels of consumers have been analyzed by the CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index), IPA (Importance Performance Analysis), and customer loyalty pyramid methods. The research results showed that the CSI value was 83.97%, indicating that consumers are very satisfied with all the marketing mix 9P attributes in Filosofi Kopi. Based on IPA analysis using the cartesius diagram, performance and importance attributes in each quadrant should be maintained. The customer loyalty pyramid showed that espresso–based coffee consumers in Filosofi Kopi were in the “committed buyer” category with the highest percentage values of 80.71%. Consumer Satisfaction variable (Y) has dominant influence to Consumer Loyalty (Z). Through this research, it has been concluded and suggested to Filosofi Kopi that uses the marketing mix 9P intensively to improve consumer satisfaction and loyalty, because it is better and has a positive impact on business.
