Abstract

Microbial growth and various fermentation processes in the rumen require an adequate supply of minerals. An experiment was conducted to detennine rumen fluid characteristics of goal They were randomly allocated into 4 treatments in a Randomized Block Design with 5 replications. Treatments were: A .. forages (natural grasses, gliriddia and leucaenJl) and concentrate (rice brand, com grain and coconut meal); B '" ration A+Ca+P; C '" Ration A+Ca+P+Mg; D =ration A+Ca+P+S. Ratio between forages and concentrates is 60: 40 with TON 53.94% and CP 13.87%. The result showed that there were no effect of mineral Ca, P, Mg and S supplementation on rumen fluid characteristics except for VFA even though it was still on the optimum condition. Inconclusion, supplementation of Ca, P and S was the best among the treatments.

Abstract

Cage is one of the supported factors in a farm. It will give effect to pleasance catle because crowded cage will influent temperature and atmosphere moisture in the cage. Finally it will give effect for growing duck. Sample which is used iIi research is 66 meaty duck (local x peking) for fase starter. Food which is used is standard food BUS 602-C:rumble. Itis produced by PT Berlian Unggas Sakti. This research used 4 characters, the characters· which are observed is crowded cage degree namely A ( 4 duck/O.5 m2), B ( 5 duck/O.5 m2), C (6 duck/O.5 m2), and D ( 7 duck/O.5 m2). The result of this research can be sununarized that crowded cage degree A and C, A and D give significant (P<O.05) to consumate food. In crowded cage degree B and C, B and D give significant (p<O.05) to add weight physic, but is gives effect which is not significant (p>O.05) to convert food.. From the result of research. we get information that crowded cage b (5 duck/O.5 m2) gives the best effect for performance of meaty duck. Itis indicated by high adding weight of physic and convertion oflower food.

Abstract

This study aims to know how and limits the influence of the bran and dried tofu by-product fermentation (DATF)with monascus purpureus against quails performance. This research using quail japan (Coturnix coturnix japonica) phaselayer was five weeks 200 tail. Research methods used are experimental methods to a draft betatesting random draft complete(RAL) using 4 treatment by DATF different level in rations namely A (0% DATF), B (4% DATF,) C (8% DATF) and D(12 % DATF) by deut five times. Rations arranged iso protein 20% and iso calories 2800 Kcal per kg. Parameters observedare performance (consumption rations (gram/tails/day), the production of eggs (daily quail day productions %), heavy eggs(grams/grains ) the egg mass (gram/tails/day) conversion rations, income overs feeds cost) quails. The result analysis showsdiversity use DATF to 12% in rations level markedly dissimilar exert (P<0,05) against rations, consumption daily, theproduction of eggs and differs very real (P<,01) against heavy eggs the mass of eggs, conversion rations quails. According tothis research result can be concluded that level DATF use products to 12% in rations quails can improve its performancequails. On this condition obtained consumption rations 22,16 grams/tails/day, tails the production of eggs (daily quail day,78% productions) heavy 9,67 grams/grains, eggs the egg mass 4,98 grams/tails/day, tail conversion rations 4,44, incomeovers feeds cost Rp. 108,34

Abstract

This research was conducted to know the reproductive performances of cows which are offspring of Simmental bull and PO (peranakan OngoIe) crossing. Identification of reproductive perfonnances need to know the abnormality that may cause reproductive retardation. The research was held used survey method with simple random sampling on 113 cows at three. Artificial Insemination Post in Agam, West Sumatera i.e Baso, Biaro and Pakan Kamis. The result showed that reproductive performances of the cows was optimum except on age first service, first service after calving and calving intervaL In addition, the difference of reproductive performances between the first and the second offSpring (Gl and G2) not significant

Abstract

Meat is high nutrient food material because it consist much protein, fat, mineral and other substances that needed by human body. The .Meat nutrient pel'centage is the appropriate media for the growth of microorganism especially bacteria. The microorganism activity can decrease meat quality. Hence, itneed exact treatment for keep the meat quality. One of used the treatment is adding extract of the Sauropus and1'og}Jnus (L.) Me1'1'. Extract of the Sauropus androgynus constitute material that consist of antibacterial compounq. Content OrSO:UT0pu5 androgyrius characteristk is oxide bacteria that having ability to remove son}e bacteria sm;has seskuite,rna add. alkaloid papaVerlllt tanin,.. saponiri,. fiavonoiq, mineral salt, other compounds,The purpose of this research is to determine influence the meat submersion within e)."tract of the Sauropus androgynus to pH, water content, total of bacterial colony, storage endurance and sensorial value include color, tex'ture, and aroma. The research use 2.5 kilogram of ham's beef and extract of the Saurapus andmgynus as much as 240 mI. Experiment method is used in this research by use a Complete Random Design that consist of four treatments with three repeat. The treatments are the extract of the So:uropfls alldrogymes concentration's level consist of ' 0 mI, 10 ml. 20 mI, aud 30 ml. The submersion has. taken as long as 30 ffiillUI:e5. Variables that measured is pH, water content romlof 'bacterial colony, storage endurance and sensorial value of meat. The differences among the treatments have tested by DcJ1nc<.(l1fi l'vl~~h:ipJ;? Abstract

Sago waste is by product of sago processing. Sago production in Bengkalis District is 368.420,2 tons/year, and sago waste production is assumed approximately 147.368,08 tons/year. Nutrients composition of sago waste are 11.68% of water, 3.38% of crude protein, 1.01 % of crude fat, 12.44% of crude fiber and 12.43% of ash. Nutrients contents especially crude protein could be increased by biological processing such as fermentation. Fermentation pursued to increase the nutrient contents, microbial growth and flavor. In this process, sago waste mixed with rice brand to increase the nutrient contents and microbial growth. The objectives of this experiment were to establish effects of substrates composition and laru inoculum doses on nutrients contents of sago waste fermentation. Treatments were consisted of 2 factors in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Treatments were: A: substrates (A) ; A1 == 100% sago waste A2 == 90% sago waste+10% rice brand; A3 = 80% sago waste+20% rice brand and B : inoculums (B); B1 =3 g/kg substrate; B2 = 5 g/kg substrate; B3 ,. 7 g/kg substrate. The results showed that 80% substrate composition of sago + 20% rice brand with 7 g/kg substrate of inoculums dosage was the best among the treatments, with the nutrient content was 10,53% ofcrude protein and 18,83% of crude fiber.

Abstract

Emisi gas metan terdiri dJlri 37% dJlri total emisi gas rumah kaca dimana sumber utama emisi enl:erik dJlri sap; dJln domba. Metan adalah salah satu gas rumah kaca (GRK) utama di samping uap air, karbondioksidJl dan nitrogen oksida. Dibandingkan dengan CO'b metan adalah suatu GRK penting dimana· konsentrasinya di atmosfir lebih dua kIl1i Upat semenjak era pre-industri. Kajian ini memberi gambaran sebuah studi kasus mengenai penilnian emisi gas dan kTedit karbon dJlri ternak ruminansia di Prouinsi Jambi Indonesia. Data merupakan dJlta sekunder meliputi luas daerah, jumlah ternak ruminansia dan kebijakan tentang Tencana ke depan Prouinsi Jambi. Jumlah emisi metan dJlri sapi, kerbau dan kambing adalah 47.83 dan 34,54 ton perhari palla tahun 2002 dan 2006 dJln total emisi C02 dJlri sapi, kerbau dan kambing 131,5 dan 94,96 ton perhari pada tahun 2002 dJln 2006. DiperkiTakan bahwa pQda tahun 2015 PrC1C7insi Jambi dapat menghasilkan dJlri ternak kim-kiTa untuk69.118 rumah dengan asumsi keperluan listrik 900 watt per-rumah.

Abstract

This research was conducted to know consumen preferences to comercial fermented milk in order to: frequency ofconsumption, form of consumption, type of fermented milk, place to take the product and reason consumption. Total samplewas used 100 respondences in three Malls Pekanbaru City. Result showed that highest frequency of comsumption wasweekly, form of comsumption was ready to drink, type of product yakult, place to take the product was supermaket and thereason to consumption was benefit to their healthy.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine $e effect ammoniated palm empty bunch on the in vitro d,gestibility and fennentability. Palm empty bunch is ammoniated by O. 2, 4 and 6% urea kg/ DM with length of 3 weeks fennentation at anaerobic condition. Digestibility was detennined after 48 h incubation with rumen fluid ofTilley and Terry technique. Data were analyzed as a Block randomized Design. Digestibility of DM" NDF and ADF, were difference among treabnents. In vitro DM, OM, NDF, ADF and sellulosa digestibility after 48 h was higher for level 4 and 6% urea than for 0, and 2%.}. The average of pH was non difference among treabnent Concentration of NH3 and VFA were increase for all treabnent. It was concluded that palm empty bunch ammoniated by 4% urea/DM has better digestibility.
