Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aimed to find out the influence of the implementation of cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share type towards the student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. The population of this research was the eightth grade students of Junior High School State 2 Pringsewu in the academic year 2012/2013 that distributed into nine classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII H class as the experimental class and students of VIII G class as the control class. The samples were chosen by purposive sampling technique. Research used a post-test control only design.  Based on the research result implementation of cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share  type effects the conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.  Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Pringsewu tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang terdistribusi dalam sembilan kelas.  Sampel dalam peneli­ti­­­­­­­­­an ini­ adalah siswa kelas VIII H sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII G se­­­­­­bagai kelas kontrol. Sampel dipilih melalui tek­nik­ pur­po­­­­sive sampling­. Desain penelitian adalah post-test control only  design. Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of realistic mathematics education towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathe­matics. Posttest only control grup design was used in this research. The population was all students of grade 8th of SMP Negeri 2 Bandarlampung, even semester, in the academic year 2012/2013. Samples were students of VIII 2 as control class and VIII 3 as experiment class that was determined by purposive random sampling technique. Based on data analysis, student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics by realistic mathematics education was better than conventional learning. So, it was concluded that realistic mathematics education influences student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa.  Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design. Popu­lasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 2 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas VIII 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa rata-rata skor pemaham­an konsep matematika siswa dengan pendekatan matematika realistik lebih dari pembelajaran konvensional. Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of Group Investigation type towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding compared  with the conventional learning. The design research was posttest only control group design with the population was all students of eighth grade in even semester of junior high school state 1 Anak Ratu Aji. The samples of this research were students of VIII1 as experiment class and VIII2 as control class, that were gotten by purposive sampling technique. Based on hypothesis test, it was gotten that the average of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of cooperative learning model of type Group Investigation type was higher than conventional learning. The conclusion of this research was the cooperative learning model of type Group Investigation type influences the student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design dengan populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII  SMP Negeri 1 Anak Ratu Aji. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII2 sebagai kelas kontrol, yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Group Investigation lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah  model pembelajaran Group Investigation berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: group investigation, model pembelajaran kooperatif, pemahaman konsep matematis

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of group investigation type towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. The research design was post-test only control design. The population was students of grade 8th in second semester of SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Ratu in the academic year 2012/2013 that excluding in the special class. Samples were students of VIII.3 class as experiment class and VIII.2 class as control class that was determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics was taken by test. Data analysis used Mann-Withney test. Based on data analysis, student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics by cooperative learning model of group investigation type was higher than conventional those of learning. So, it was concluded that cooperative learning model of group investigation type influences student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.  Desain penelitian adalah post-test only control design.  Popu­la­si penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Ratu tahun pelaja­ran 2012/2013 yang tidak termasuk dalam kelas unggulan.  Sampel pene­litian adalah siswa kelas VIII.3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling.  Data pemahaman konsep matematis diperoleh melalui tes.  Analisis data menggu­na­­kan uji Mann-Whitney.  Berdasarkan hasil anali­si­s data, diper­oleh bahwa pemahaman konsep ma­t­ematis siswa pada pembelajaran koope­ra­tif tipe group investigation lebih tinggi daripada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pembelajaran konvensional.  Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa m­­o­del pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation berpengaruh terha­dap pema­haman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: model kooperatif tipe group investigation, pemahaman konsep mate­ma­tis, pengaruh

Abstract

NHT is a simplest type of cooperative learning model. NHT helps students actively in understanding the subject matter. This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the effect of cooperative learning model of NHT viewed by mathematics achievement. The population was eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 20 Bandar Lampung. Samples were students in VIII C as the experimental class and VIII D as control class which was selected by purposive sampling technique. Data was obtained by test of mathematics achievement. Based on the analysis of descriptive data and using t-test, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of NHT type is effective viewed by students mathematics achievement of eighth grade of SMPN 20 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012/2013.Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT merupakan model pembelajaran kooperatif yang paling sederhana. NHT membantu siswa secara aktif dalam memahami materi pelajaran. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Populasinya adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 20 Bandar Lampung. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih mengunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes hasil belajar. Berdasarkan analisis data secara deskriptif dan menggunakan uji-t dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT efektif ditinjau hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 20 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, model pembelajaran kooperatif, NHT

Abstract

This is quasi-experimental research with posttest only control group design that aimed to determine the effectiveness of STAD cooperative learning using audio-visual media towards students' mathematics achievement. The population was all students of X grade of SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung with samples were all students of X1 and X2 class that were selected by purposive random sampling technique. Based on the analysis of data, it can be concluded that there was no difference students’  achievement between STAD cooperative learning using audio-visual media and conventional learning.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian posttest only control group design yang bertujuan  untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan pemanfaatan media audio visual terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung dengan sampel siswa kelas X1 dan X2 yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Berdasarkan analisis data dari pengujian hipotesis diperoleh kesimpulan tidak ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan pemanfaatan media audio visual dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional. Kata kunci: audio visual, hasil belajar matematika, STAD

Abstract

Think Pair Share is one of cooperative learning model that giving student enough time to think, answer, and help each other. This was a quasi experimental research which aimed to know the effectivity of Think Pair Share (TPS) model viewed by study mathematics result of student. Samples were students of VII A and VII B class that was determined by purposive sampling technique. Post-test only was used in this research. The result of this research showed that cooperative learning model-TPS type was effective in mathematics learning viewed by study mathematic result in seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 21 Bandarlampung even semester in academic year 2012/2013.Think Pair Share (TPS) merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran kooperatif yang memberikan siswa cukup banyak waktu untuk berfikir, merespon dan saling membantu satu sama lain.  Penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS ditinjau dari hasil belajar matematika siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII B yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan post-test only. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS efektif jika diterapkan pada pembelajaran matematika ditinjau dari hasil belajar mate­ma­tika pada siswa kelas VII semester genap SMP Negeri 21 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.Kata kunci: efektivitas,  hasil belajar, TPS

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This was a descriptive qualitative research that aimed to get informations about the application of Socrates Method through the contextual approach viewed by learning process of mathematics and critical thinking skills. The subject of the research was the students of X.4 class at Senior High School 5 Bandar Lampung in 2012/2013. The objects of this research were the process of learning and critical thinking skills. The data of research was got from observations,  interviews, test and journal.The average of critical thinking skills for Trigonometric was 77,65% with medium category, while Logic was 88,05% with very high category. From the observations on the process of learning, Socrates method was more applicable to Logic than Trigonometric. That was because teacher gives more contextual questions on the Logic subject. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi deskriptif tentang penerapan Metode Socrates melalui pendekatan kontekstual ditinjau dari proses pembelajaran matematika dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X.4 SMA Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2012/2013.  Objek penelitian adalah proses belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis.  Data penelitian berupa hasil observasi, hasil wawancara, hasil tes, dokumentasi serta catatan lapangan.  Rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis untuk materi Trigonometri sebesar 77,65% dengan kategori sedang, sementara pada materi Logika sebesar 88,05% dengan kategori sangat tinggi.  Dari hasil pengamatan pada proses belajar, Metode Socrates lebih maksimal diterapkan pada materi Logika dibanding Trigonometri. Hal tersebut dikarenakan guru lebih banyak memberikan pertanyaan kontekstual pada materi Logika. Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, metode socrates, pendekatan kontekstual
