Abstract

Research with the purpose to describe the effectiveness and practicality of SiMaYang type II learning model in improving of stundents mental models and self efficacy had been finished in SMA N 10 Bandar Lampung for 2015/2016 academic year. This research used one group pretest-posttest design with the 10th grade-4 and the 10th grade-7 as sample classes. The results of test mental models with SiMaYang type II for learning was changed for the better. The average self efficacy for two replication classes was changed from high criteria to become very high criteria. Based on it, it can be said that SiMaYang type II effective in improving students mental models and self efficacy.Tujuan pembelajaran ini adalah mendeskripsikan kepraktisan dan keefektivan model pembelajaran SiMaYang Tipe II dalam meningkatkan model mental dan efikasi diri siswa yang dilakukan di SMA N 10 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design dengan kelas X4 dan X7 sebagai kelas sampel. Hasil tes model mental dengan menggunakan pembelajaran SiMaYang tipe II mengalami perubahan menjadi lebih baik. Rerata efikasi diri kedua kelas replikasi dari berkategori tinggi menjadi sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat dikatakan model pembelajaran SiMaYang tipe II efektif dalam meningkatkan model mental dan efikasi diri siswa. Abstract

The goal of this research was describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to improve skill to predict and concludes on buffer solution topic. The method of this research was quasi experiment with non equivalent pretest-postest control group design. This research used two classes as control and experimental class which they were obtained from four classes of the 11th grade at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung for 2015/2016 academic year by using purposive sampling. Learning was said to be effective if there were significant differencess between the n-Gain in the control and experiment class. The result showed that the average n-Gain of skills to predict and concludes in control and experiment class 0.32 and 0.46, respectively. Therefore, it can be inferred that on buffer solution topic used discovery learning model was effective skill to predict and concludes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan memprediksi dan menyimpulkan pada materi larutan penyangga. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan non equivalent pretest-postest control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas sebagai kelas kontrol dan eksperimen yang diperoleh dari empat kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 dengan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan memprediksi dan menyimpulkan pada kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,32 dan 0,46. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran materi larutan penyangga menggunakan model discovery learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan memprediksi dan menyimpulkan.Kata kunci: larutan penyanga, discovery learning, keterampilan memprediksi, keterampilan menyimpulkan

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the skill of originality thinking on the electrolyte- nonelectrolyte solutions matery by using Guided Inquiry models learning for high, intermediate and low groups of student. The subjects were students of class X1 SMA Negeri 2 Metro. This research used the pre-experimental method, a one-shot case study design, and statistic descriptive research. The results showed that the skill of originality thinking in high level group 71,43% were excellent, 14,29% were good, and 14,29 were enough. In intermediate level group , 29,41% were excellent, 58,82% were good, and 11,76% were enough. In the low level group, 14,29% were excellent, 28,57% were good and 57,14% were enough.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan berpikir orisinil pada materi larutan elektrolit-nonelektrolit menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk siswa kelompok tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X1 SMA Negeri 2 Metro.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen, desain one shot case study, dan analisis statistik deskriptif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa keterampilan berpikir orisinil pada kelompok tinggi, 71,43% berkriteria sangat baik, 14,29% berkriteria baik, dan 14,29% lainnya berkriteria cukup.  Pada kelompok sedang, 29,41% berkriteria sangat baik, 58,82% berkriteria baik dan 11,76% lainnya berkriteria cukup.  Pada kelompok rendah, 14,29% berkriteria sangat baik, 28,57% berkriteria baik, dan 57,14% lainnya berkriteria cukup.Kata kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan berpikir orisinil, larutan elektrolit-nonelektrolit.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach in increasing fluency thinking ability in buffered solutions topic. This research used quasi experiment method with non equivalent control group design. All of student in the 11th grade of MIA1, and MIA2 at SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung for 2014/2015 academic year were taken as samples of this research by using purposive sampling. After the learning was done, the average n-Gain in the control and experimental classes were obtained 0.29 and 0.61, respectively. Abstract

The objectives of this research are to describe effectiveness of Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model in redox reaction in improving symbolic language skill and to describe effectiveness of NHT learning model in redox reaction material in improving concept mastery.  Population in this research was all Grade X students in State Senior High School 1 Buay Bahuga in academic year 2011/2012. Samples were classroom X2 as experiment classroom and classroom X1 as control classroom. Samples were selected using purposive sampling. This reserach used quasi experiment menthod with Non Equivalent (Prestest and Posttest) Control Group Design). The effectiveness of NHT learning model was measured based on significant n-gain differences of symbolic language skill and concept mastery between NHT learning classroom and conventional learning classroom. The results showed that the average of n-gain of symbolic language skill for experiment and control clasrooms were 0.26 and 0.18 respectively, and the average n-gain of concept mastery for experiment and control classrooms were 0.29 and 0.23 respectively.  Based on hypothesis test, classroom with NHT learning model had higher symbolic language skill and concept mastery than classroom with conventional learning. This indicated that NHT learning was effective in improving symbolic language skill and concept mastery of redox reaction.Keywords: Numbered Head Together (NHT) Learning Model, symbolic language skill and concept mastery

Abstract

This research aimed to develop assessment on additive and addictive-psychotropics material that have religious content and environmental awareness; to describe the characteristics of developing assessment; to describe the teacher and student responses of the developed assessment; and to describe the problems in developing the assessment. This research method was research and development from Sugiyono (2008).  Based on teacher responses, the developed assessment has very high content’s suitability aspect (90%), very high construction aspect (82,22%), and very high language utilizing aspect (86,67%).  Based on student responses, the developed assessment has very high language utilizing aspect (86%).  Based on that responses, so canbe concluded that the developed assessment has very good criteria.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan asesmen zat aditif dan adiktif-psikotropika bermuatan nilai ketuhanan dan kecintaan terhadap lingkungan; mendeskripsikan karakteristik asesmen yang dikembangkan; mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap asesmen yang dikembangkan; dan mendeskripsikan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam mengembangkan asesmen tersebut.  Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dari Sugiyono (2008).  Berdasarkan tanggapan guru, asesmen yang dikembangkan memiliki aspek kesesuaian isi yang sangat tinggi yaitu 90%, aspek konstruksi yang sangat tinggi yaitu 82,22%, dan aspek penggunaan bahasa yang sangat tinggi yaitu 86,67%.  Berdasarkan tanggapan siswa, asesmen yang dikembangkan memiliki aspek penggunaan bahasa yang sangat tinggi yaitu 86%.  Berdasarkan tanggapan tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa asesmen yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria sangat baik.Kata kunci: asesmen, nilai ketuhanan dan cinta lingkungan,zat aditif dan adiktif-psikotropika.

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to increase student’s elaboration skills on chemical equilibrium subject matters.  The population of this research was students in XI science grade of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Metro odd semester academic year 2013-2014.  The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique and these were XI 1 and XI 2 of science grade.  The method of the research was quasi-experimental with Non Equivalent Control Group Desaign.  The effectiveness of discovery learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-gain between control and experiment class.  The result showed that the average n-gain of student’s elaboration skills of control was 0,271 and 0,512 for experiment class.  The result of hypothesis testing showed that discovery learning model was effective to increase student’s elaboration skills on chemical equilibrium subject matters. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan elaborasi siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Metro semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014.  Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2.  Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Desaign.  Efektivitas model discovery learning ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan n-gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen.  Hasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-gain keterampilan elaborasi siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,271 dan kelas eksperimen 0,512.  Hasi pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model discovery learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan elaborasi siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Kata kunci:  kesetimbangan kimia, keterampilan elaborasi, model discovery learning

Abstract

This quasi experiment with One Group Pretest-Postest design aimed to describe the practicality and effectiveness of SiMaYang type II on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution. The samples on this study were students of the 10th grade of MIA1, MIA2, and MIA6 gotten by using cluster random sampling. The results showed that the practicality of SiMaYang type II was measured by implementing lesson plans, students responses, assessment of teachers ability, and students activity which were classified as very high criteria. The effectiveness of SiMaYang type II was measured by n-Gain and enhancement of self-efficacy. n-Gain was classified as moderate to high criteria. The enhancement of self-efficacy was classified as very high criteria. So it was concluded that SiMaYang type II based on multiple representation is practicable and effective.Penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kepraktisan dan keefektivan SiMaYang tipe II pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA1, MIA2, dan MIA6 dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepraktisan SiMaYang tipe II diukur berdasarkan keterlaksanaan RPP, respon siswa, penilaian kemampuan guru, dan aktivitas siswa tergolong kriteria sangat tinggi. Keefektivan SiMaYang tipe II diukur berdasarkan n-Gain dan peningkatan efikasi diri. n-Gain tergolong kriteria sedang sampai tinggi. Peningkatan efikasi diri tergolong kriteria sangat tinggi. Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model in salt hydrolysis material in improving the skills in giving a simple explanation and implementing acceptable concept. Samples were 32 students in classroom XI science three as experiment and 31 students in classroom XI science four as control that have equal academic abilities. This was a quasi experiment research using non equivalent control group design.  Data analysis used a t-test of the n-Gain significant. The results showed that average value of n-Gain of skills in giving a simple explanation in experiment and control classrooms were 0.44 and 0.12 respectively; and average value of n-Gain for implementing acceptable concepts in experiment and control classrooms were 0.42 and 0.20 respectively with tcount (2.23) ttable (1.67). The conclusion is that the guided inquiry learning model in salt hydrolysis was effective in improving skills in giving simple explanations and implementing acceptable concepts by students.Keywords: guided inquiry, meteri salt hydrolysis ,giving a simple explanation and apply the concept of acceptable.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the is Learning Cycle 6E model that are effective in improving the classification and communication skill.  This research was using a quasi experimental methods with Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  The sampling technique was used purposive sampling technique.  The sample in this research is students of Senior High School YP Unila Bandar Lampung and obtained XI IPA2 and XI IPA4class in even semester of school year 2012-2013 that have similar characteristics.  Effectiveness of Learning Cycle 6E model measured on the difference and the improvement of a significant n-Gain.  The results showed the average value of n-Gain classification skill for experiment class and control class are 0.65 and 0.49, and the average value of n-Gain communication skill for experiment class and control class are 0.69 and 0.59.  Based on the research results, it was concluded that the Learning Cycle 6E model is effective in improving classification dan communication skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model Learning Cycle 6E dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan mengkomunikasikan.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling.  Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung kelas XI IPA2 dan kelas XI IPA4 semester genap tahun ajaran 2012-2013 yang memiliki kesamaan karakteristik.  Efektivitas model Learning Cycle 6E diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan mengelompokkan untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,65 dan 0,49; serta rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan mengkomunikasikan untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,69 dan 0,59.
