Abstract

This study was aimed to describe the effectiveness of student worksheet discovery learning buffer solution to improve SPS viewed from cognitive ability. Population in this research were all students of class XI IPA SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung on academic year 2016/2017. The sample in this research was XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 4 classes obtained which was by purposive sampling technique. The research used quasy experiment methods with 2x2 factorial design. Instruments used were students worksheet based on discovery learning and conventional, pretest and postest questions. Data was analysized by using two ways ANOVA test and t test. The reseach result showed that there was no interaction between learning using Student Worksheet and cognitive ability on SPS, learning which used Student Worksheet based on discovery learning was effective to improve SPS, students SPS high cognitive ability was higher than students SPS low cognitive ability using student worksheet based on discovery learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas LKS discovery learning larutan penyangga untuk meningkatkan KPS ditinjau dari kemampuan kognitif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Sampel dalam penelitian ini kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 4 yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Instrumen yang digunakan LKS berbasis discovery learning dan konvensional, soal pretes dan postes. Analisis data yang digunakan uji ANOVA dua jalur dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; tidak terdapat interaksi antara pembelajaran menggunakan LKS dan kemampuan kognitif terhadap KPS, pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis discovery learning efektif untuk meningkatkan KPS, KPS siswa kemampuan kognitif tinggi lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan kognitif rendah menggunakan LKS berbasis discovery learning.Kata kunci : kemampuan kognitif, KPS, larutan penyangga, LKS

Abstract

This research aimsto develop student worksheets based chemical representation and describe its characteristics and validity as well as the teachers’ and students’ responses to the product student worksheets on acid base topic. This research used Borg and Gall design of research and development with only focused on the first five stage. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis. The expert validation showed that the average percentage on content suitability, construction, and readability aspects were 87%, 88%, and 92,86%, respectively with very high criteria. The teachers’ responses on suitability, construction, and readability aspects were 90%, 90%, and 88,57%, respectively with very high criteria. While students’ responses on readability and attractiveness were 87% and 89%, respectively with very high criteria. Based on these results, student worksheets based chemical representation on acid base topic by this research is valid and worthy as sources of learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS berbasis representasi kimia dan mendeskripsikan karakteristik, validitas, serta tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan pada materi asam basa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan menurut Borg dan Gall dengan hanya berfokus pada lima tahap pertama. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistika deskriptif. Validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 87%, 88%, 92,86% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi.  Tanggapan guru pada aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan berturut-turut sebesar 90%, 90%, dan 88,57% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Tanggapan siswa pada aspek keterbacaan dan kemenarikan berturut-turut sebesar 87% dan 89% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, LKS berbasis representasi kimia pada materi asam basa yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini valid dan layak digunakan sebagai media belajar.Kata kunci: representasi kimia, lembar kerja siswa, asam basa

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to increase student’s fluency thinking skills on chemical equilibrium subject matter.  The method of the research was quasi-experimental with  Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  The population of this research was all students in XI science class of MA Negeri 1 Metro whose sit in odd semester of academic year 2013-2014.  The sample were taken by purposive sampling technique then obtained XI IPA2 dan XI IPA3 class as sample of the research.  The effectiveness of discovery learning model was showed by the significant difference of n-Gain between control and experiment class.The result of research showed that the average n-Gain score for experiment class was  0,32 and the average n-Gain score for control class was 0,21.  Proving the hypothesis showed that discovery learning model is effective to increase student’s fluency thinking skills on chemical equilibrium subject matter. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendiskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir lancar siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia.  Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen.  Populasi dalam peneliian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA MA Negeri 1 Metro semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2013-2014.  Sampel diambil dengan tehnik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas XI IPA2 dan XI IPA3 sebagai sampel penelitian.  Efektivitas model discovery learning ditunjukan berdasarkan perbedaan nilai n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan rata-rata nilai n-Gain untuk kelas eksperimen adalah 0,32 dan rata-rata nilai n-Gain  untuk kelas kontrol adalah 0,21.  Pengujian hipotesis menunjukan bahwa model discovery learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir lancar siswa pada materi kesetimbangan kimia. Kata kunci : kesetimbangan kimia, keterampilan berpikir lancar, model discovery learning

Abstract

The research and development of students worksheets based on the science process skills on the fundamental laws of chemistry topic has been studied. This research used the method of research and development. The students woksheets which were developed had characteristics that suitable with the expected competencies, attractive to students as well as didactics, constructions, and technicals requirements have been qualified. Premilinary field testing of the students worksheets as development product was conducted at the 10th grade of SMAN 14 Bandar Lampung. Based on teachers responses about suitability of the contents, constructions, and readability aspects of the students worksheets, it were categorized in very high. Based on students responses about readability and attractiveness aspects of the students worksheets, it were also categorized in very high. The result showed that the student worksheets was proper to be used.Telah dilakukan penelitian dan pengembangan LKS berbasis keterampilan proses sains pada materi hukum-hukum dasar kimia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki karakteristik sesuai dengan kompetensi yang diharapkan, menarik untuk siswa serta telah memenuhi syarat didaktik, syarat teknik, dan syarat konstruksi. Uji coba lapangan awal LKS sebagai produk hasil pengembangan dilakukan di kelas X SMAN 14 Bandar Lampung. Berdasarkan hasil tanggapan guru terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan, aspek tersebut dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap aspek keterbacaan dan kemenarikan, aspek tersebut juga dikategorikan sangat tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS hasil pengembangan layak untuk digunakan.Kata kunci: hukum-hukum dasar kimia, KPS, LKS

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know effectiveness of the model 5E learning cycle (LC5E) in enhancing inferring skill and mastery of concepts in reaction rate material. Populations were all students of Grade XI science in MAN in Central Lampung academic year 2012-2013. The samples were 34 students in classroom XI science one and 34 students in classroom XI science two that have equal academic abilities. This was a quasi experiment research using non equivalent control group design.  Effectiveness  LC5E  model was measured based on significant gain enhancement.  The result showed that average values of  N-gain of inferring skill in experiment and control classrooms were 0.67 and 0.44 respectively and average values of  N-gain for mastery of concepts in experiment and control classrooms were 0.58 and 0.46 respectively. The hypothesis result test showed that classroom that used LC5E  model had higher skill in inferring and mastery of concepts than with conventional learning model.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model learning cycle 5E ( LC 5E) dalam meningkatkan keterampilan inferensi dan penguasaan konsep laju reaksi.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA MAN Poncowati  tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.  Sampel terdiri dari 34 siswa kelas XI Ipa 1 dan 34 siswa XI Ipa 2 yang mempunyai kemampuan yang sama.  Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design.  Efektivitas mo­del LC 5E ditunjukkan dengan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata N-gain keterampilan inferensi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,67 dan 0,44 dan rata-rata N-gain penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,58 dan 0,46.  Dengan demikian didapat bahwa keterampilan inferensi dan penguasaan konsep laju reaksi yang diterapkan model LC 5E lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci : keterampilan inferensi, model pembelajaran LC5E, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

This research aimed at developing a buffer solution textbook based chemical representation; describe the characteristics of a buffer solution textbook based chemical representation; describe the teachers’ feedback and students’ response to a buffer solution textbook based chemical representation; and knowing the obstacles encountered when developing a buffer solution textbook based chemical representation. The research method used is the Research and Development. From the results of limited test data showed that compliance with the chemical content of the textbook curriculum is very high at 82,5%, the aspect graph/the attractiveness is very high at 95% and levels of legibility is very high at 89,55%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar larutan penyangga berbasis representasi kimia; mendeskripsikan karakteristik buku ajar larutan penyangga berbasis representasi kimia; mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap buku ajar larutan penyangga berbasis representasi kimia; dan mengetahui kendala-kendala yang dihadapi ketika mengembangkan buku ajar larutan penyangga berbasis representasi kimia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Dari hasil uji coba terbatas diperoleh data bahwa pada aspek kesesuaian isi buku ajar kimia dengan kurikulum sangat tinggi sebesar 82,5%, aspek grafika/kemenarikan sangat tinggi sebesar 95% dan tingkat keterbacaan sangat tinggi sebesar 89,55%.Kata kunci: buku ajar, larutan penyangga, representasi kimia

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the validity, reliability, difficulty, discrimination power and responses of teachers and students to knowledge assessment instruments on Arrhenius acid base. This research method was a research and development (R D). Validity is assessed through the legibility aspect and the content conformity of the matter with the material. Reliability and discrimination power were analyzed using SPSS 17.0, where Pearson Correlation on SPSS application stated discrimination power and Alpha Cronbach on SPSS application stated relibility. Difficulty level was analyzed using ANATES program description. The results of this research indicate that the knowledge assessment instrument is good and can be used it is seen from the reliability value and discrimination power that have high category and medium level of difficulty.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya beda serta tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap instrumen asesmen pengetahuan pada materi asam basa Arrhenius. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (RD). Validitas dinilai melalui aspek keterbacaan dan kesesuaian isi soal dengan materi. Reliabilitas dan daya beda dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 17.0, dimana Pearson Correlation pada aplikasi SPSS menyatakan daya beda dan Alpha Cronbach pada aplikasi SPSS menyatakan reliabilitas. tingkat kesukaran dianalisis menggunakan program ANATES uraian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen asesmen pengetahuan sudah baik dan dapat digunakan hal ini dilihat dari nilai reliabilitas dan daya beda soal yang memiliki kategori tinggi serta tingkat kesukaran soal yang dominan sedang.Kata kunci: asesmen, validitas, asam basa Arrhenius

Abstract

Most of the concepts in chemistry are abstract. So the potential misconception that is common to the students, so it is necessary to develop the learning medium, especially in the student worksheet. This study aims to develop student works-heet based on science process skills. In this study, using the method of research and development (Research and Development) by Borg Gall and Gall, 1989 (Sukmadinata, 2009). Results of student worksheets developed are student worksheets that can measure students' science process skills. Furthermore performed limited testing to see what students and teachers based on student worksheets science process skills are developed. Limited testing done at one school in the town of Bandar Lampung. Based on limited testing for teachers on aspects of compliance content, readability, and the construction of the student worksheet based on science process skills obtained results respectively 90%, 85%, and 88.88%. While the limited testing conducted for the students to aspects kemenarikan, legibility and keterlaksanaan the student worksheet based on science process skills acquired respectively 88.93%, 87.85%, and 100%. Based on these results can be simpulankan the student worksheet based on science process skills can increase student interest and may assist students in the mastery of concept sespecially inacid-base material.Keywords: student worksheet, science process skills, acid-base.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness ofpredict-observe-explain (POE) learning model in reaction rate conceptto enhance prediction skills.  Students who became the subject of this research was 1 Science class grade XI in SMA N 6 Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2012/2013. This research used the preexperimental method and one-group pretest-posttest design. The effectiveness of POE learning model was determined based on the averageof normalization-Gain  (n-Gain).The results of this research showed that the averageof n-Gainof prediction skills was 0.60.  Thus, it can be concluded that the POE learning model in reaction rate concept effective to enhance prediction skills in medium category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelaj-aran predict-observe-explain (POE) pada materi laju reaksi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan memprediksi.  Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA1SMA Negeri 6 Bandar Lampung semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2012/2013.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode preexperimental dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design.  Efektivitas model pembelajaran POE ditunjukkan oleh adanya peningkatan nilai pretest dan posttest yang dilihat dari nilai normalisasi-gain (n-Gain).  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai n-gain keterampilan memprediksi sebesar 0,60.  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran POE  pada materi laju reaksi efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan memprediksi dengan kriteria sedang.Kata kunci: keterampilan memprediksi, n-gain, pembelajaran POE

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe scientific attitude and improvement of higher order thinking skills of acid and base using problem solving learning model. The method used The Matching only pretest and posttest control group design. Sample in this research were taken by purposive sampling tehnique. The effectiveness of problem solving learning model in improving HOTS is t-tes and scientific attitude is qualitative description. The results showed that the average value of n-Gain HOTS were using problem solving learning are higher than using the conventional learnig and percentage of sciencetific attitude student’s in category medium and high are improvement. The conclution of this research was problem solving learning model is effective to improve higher order thinking skills and drill scientific attitude of student’s.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsi sikap ilmiah dan peningkatan HOTS (keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi) pada materi asam basa menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan The Matching only pretest and posttest control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini ditentukan berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving dalam meningkatkan HOTS materi asam basa digunakan uji t dan sikap ilmiah dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa nilai n-gain HOTS model pembelajaran problem solving lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional serta persentase sikap ilmiah siswa kategori sedang dan tinggi mengalami kenaikan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving pada materi asam basa efektif dalam meningkatkan HOTS (keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi) serta dapat melatih sikap ilmiah siswa. Kata Kunci: sikap ilmiah, model pembelajaran problem solving, keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi
