This study aims to obtain an effective instructional model increase interest and concept’s mastery of XI science in acid-base of Arrhenius material. The population are the class of XI Science SMA Al Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung with XI IPA 2 as experiment class and XI 4 as control. This research method is a quasi-experimental pretest posttest control group design. The research’s results showed the average value of the index gain interest in the control and experimental classes respectively 0,34 and 0,49; and the mean index gain mastery of concepts for the control and experimental classes respectively 0,33 and 0,55. Based on hypothesis testing, it was concluded that learning through the class with LC 5E has an interest and mastery of concepts that is higher than learning conventional class. This suggests that the learning material through LC 5E is more effective in increasing students' interest and mastery of concepts.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh model pembelajaran yang afektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan penguasaan konsep asam-basa Arrhenius. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah selurush siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Al Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung dengan kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 4 kelas control. Metode penelitan ni adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan non equivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rerata indeks gain minat untuk kelas control dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,34 dan 0,49; dan rerata indeks gain penguasaan konsep untuk kelas kontrol dan eksperimen masing-masing 0,33 dan 0,55. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan LC 5E lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran kon-vensional. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan LC 5E lebih efektif dalam me-ningkatkan minat dan penguasaaan konsep siswa.Kata kunci: Learning Cycle 5E (LC 5E), minat, penguasaan konsep

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of acid base topic. This research used quasi experiment method with non equivalent control group design. All of students in the 11th grade of XI IPA 2, and XI IPA 4 at SMA Negeri in Bandar Lampung for 2017/2018 academic year were taken as samples of this research by using cluster random sampling. After the learning, the average n-Gain in experimental class was obtained 0.61. Based on t-test the value sig 0.000 its noun significant different, it was known that the learning by using POE learning model was effective in increasing flexibility thinking ability of students on Acid Base topic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas kemampuan berpikir luwes siswa melalui model pembelajaran POE pada materi asam basa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan non equivalent control group design. Semua siswa di kelas XI IPA 2, dan XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri di Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 diambil sebagai sampel pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, diperoleh rata-rata n-Gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,61. Berdasarkan uji t nilai sig 0,000 berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan, diketahui bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran POEefektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir luwes siswa pada materi asam basa.Kata Kunci: asam basa, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, model pembelajaran POE

This study was aimed to describe the effectiveness of the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) learning model to improve science process skills (SPS) at hydrolyzing salt. The method in this research was quasi-experiment with the design was pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students of XI MIA class in one of senior high school in Lampung Selatan. The sample of the research was chosen by purposive sampling technique, XI MIA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIA 4 as the control class. The technique of data analysis was the two average difference by t-test. Based on the hypothesis test, there was a significant difference in the average n-gain of SPS between the experimental class and the control class, it showed that the POGIL learning model was effective to improve science process skills in hydrolyzing salt.Keywords: POGIL, science process skills (SPS), hydrolyzing salt.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) pada materi garam menghidrolisis. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA salah satu SMA di Lampung Selatan. Sampel penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik purposive samplingyaitu kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji perbedaan dua rata-rata dengan uji t. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, terdapat perbedaan rata-rata n-gain KPS yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran POGIL efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains pada materi garam menghidrolisis.Kata kunci : POGIL, keterampilan proses sains (KPS), garam menghidrolisis.

This research was aimed to describe the practicality, effectiveness, and effect size of discovery learning model to improve the ability of the students flexibility thinking of solution electrolyte and non electrolyte topics. This research used poor experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. Students of SMAN 6 Metro for 2016/2017 academic years at X.8 class was used as sample which it was obtained by using cluster random sampling. The results shown that the practicality and effectivity of discovery learning model had high criteria, n-gain average in the ability of the students flexibility thinking was 0.54 and effect size was 0.95. Based on them, discovery learning model was practical, effective, and big effect size to improve the ability of the students flexibility thinking of solution electrolyte and non electrolyte topics.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepraktisan, keefektivan dan ukuran pengaruh model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir luwes siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode poor experimental dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Siswa SMAN 6 Metro tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 di kelas X.8 digunakan sebagai sampel yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepraktisan dan keefektivan model discovery learning berkriteria tinggi, nilai rata-rata n-gainkemampuan berpikir luwes siswa sebesar 0,54 dan ukuran pengaruh sebesar 0,95. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, model discovery learning praktis, efektif dan memiliki ukuran pengaruh yang besar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir luwes siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit.Kata kunci: discovery learning, elektrolit dan non elektrolit, kemampuan berpikir luwes

The aim of this research was to describe the effectiveness of problem solving learning to increase students’ problem sensitivity thinking ability through redox reactions material. This research used Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample was chosen by using purposive sampling technique. Population of the research was tenth grade student’s of SMA Negeri 2 Metro at second semester in the 2013/2014 year, the sample were, X science 2 and X science 4. The effectiveness of problem solving learning analyzed based on the differences of significant n-Gain between experiment and control classes. The results showed that the average n-Gain score in experimental and control were 0,58 and 0,34. Based on hyphothesis testing, it can be concluded that problem solving learning is effective to increase students’problem sensitivity thinking ability through redox reactions material. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir peka pada reaksi redoks. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 2 Metro semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 dan sampel penelitian adalah kelas X IPA2 dan X IPA4. Efektivitas pembelajaran problem solving diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir peka pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,58 dan 0,34. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir pekapada materi reaksi redoks. The goal of this research was describe the effectiveness of discovery learning model to improve generating ability on electrolyte and non-electrolyte topic. The research was conducted at SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung using two sample classes which they were obtained by purposive sampling. This research used quasi experiment method with non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Learning was said to be effective if there are significant differencess between the n-Gain in the control and experiment class. The result showed that the average n-Gain generating ability in control and experiment class 0.25 and 0.59, respectively. Therefore, it can be inferred that on electrolyte and non-electrolyte topic used discovery learning model was effective to improve generating ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan generating siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung menggunakan dua kelas sampel yang diperoleh dengan cara purposive sampling. This research was to describe the effectiveness of the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model on the oxidation reduction reactions concept to enhance communicating and inferring skills. The effectiveness of the POE learning model in this research indicated with the significant difference between the experimental class with the control class. The population in this research are all students of the class X Senior High School Paramarta 1 in Seputih Banyak academic year 2011-2012, totall of all students are 150 and to spread into three classes they are X1, X2, and X3. The sample in this research are X1 and X2 class. This research used method the quasi-experimental and non equivalent control group design. analysis data in this research of the hypothesis testing by using two different average test. The results of the hypothesis testing that the average value of n-gain communicating and inferring skills on the oxidation-reduction reactions concept of students applied learning POE higher than students who applied to conventional learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the POE model learning on the oxidation-reduction reactions concept effective in increasing communicating skills and inferring skills in the Senior High School Paramarta1 2011/2012.Keywords: Predict-Observe-Explain (POE),communicating skill and inferring skill

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning to improve the flexibility thinking skill on colloidal matery. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA SMAN 7 Bandar Lampung even semester 2012-2013 school year and class XI IPA2 and IPA3 as samples. This research used purposive sampling method with quasi-experimental non equivalent control group design. Effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model was measured by the n-Gain significant difference. The results showed then-Gainaverage of flexibility thinking skill for the experimental class and control class were 0.59 and 0.46. Based on hypothesis test using t-test, concluded that guided inquiry learning model was effective in improving the flexibility thinking skill on colloidal matery.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir fleksibel pada materi koloid. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri7 Bandar Lampung semester genap tahun ajaran 2012-2013 dengan kelas XI IPA2 dan kelas XI IPA3 sebagai sampel. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non equivalent Control Group Design. Efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan berpikir fleksibel untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,59 dan 0,46. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t, didapat kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir fleksibel pada materi koloid.Kata kunci : inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan berpikir fleksibel, koloid

This research aims to produce science process skills based assessment (PPP) on the material factors that affect the chemical equilibrium in the form of questions and multiple-choice test essay. The research method used is the Research and Development (Research and Development). Research subjects is. assessment development based science process skills on material factors affecting chemical equilibrium. Limited testing result that assessment based on material science process skills the factors that affect these chemical equilibria are based on aspects of suitability, skill-based assessment is the process of science is in accordance with the SK-KD and can measure indicators of students' science process skills. Science process skills based assessment has a high level of kemenarikan. Science process skills based assessment has a very high level of legibility. This study aims to for the predict of characteristic model study of effective Problem Solving in improve skill to communicate and predict. This study use method of kuasi experiment with Non Equivalent ( posttest and pretest) Control Group Design. Intake of sampel done by using technique of purposive sampling. Sampel in this study is student of SMA Persada Bandar Lampung class of X2 and class of X3even semester of School Year 2012-2013 owning characteristic much the same to. Data analysis use N-Gain and of uji-t. Result of study show average value of N-Gain skill communicate for class control and each experiment 0.46 and 0.61; and average of N-Gain skill of predict for class control and each experiment 0.44 and 0.67. This matter indicate that study of Problem Solving effective in improving skill to communicate and predict.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekripsikan karakteristik model pembelajaran Problem Solving yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berkomunikasi dan memprediksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent (pretest and posttest) Control Group Design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Persada Bandar Lampung kelas X2 dan kelas X3 semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2012-2013 yang memiliki karakteristik hampir sama.
