Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of POE learning model in increasing students the ability of the evaluative thinking on electrolyte and non-electrolyte topics. The population of this research was all first year secondary student in science class of SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. X IPA1 and X IPA 2 classes as a reasearch sample was taken by purposive sampling technique. The Quasi experimental with non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design used as research method. The effectiveness of POE learning model in the learning was showed by the significant n-Gain difference between the experimental class and the control class. The result showed that n-Gain average of the evaluative thinking ability in control class was 0,38 and 0,66 for experiment class. Based on these results, it can be concluded that POE learning model was effective in increase the ability of the evaluative thinking on electrolyte and non-electrolyte topics.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran POE dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir evaluatif siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA 1 dan X IPA 2 yang diambil melalui teknik purposive sampling. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalence Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. Efektivitas model pembelajaran POE dalam pembelajaran ini ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan brpikir evaluatif kelas kontrol adalah 0,38 dan 0,66 untuk kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran POE efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir evaluatif pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit.Kata kunci: elektrolit/non-elektrolit, kemampuan berpikir evaluatif, model pembelajaran POE.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop an assessment instrument based on chemical representations on the electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions. The research used the research and development method which consist of three steps, namely introduction study, product development, and product testing. The subject of this research was assessment instrument based on the chemical representations of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solutions. This research was administered in the SMAN in Bandar Lampung. At this developed product, expert’s validation test and teacher’s respond test were administered in this research. Assessment instrument was measured by three aspects include content suitability with SK-KD, attractiveness, and legibility. Based on the teachers responses, obtained the result that the material content suitability aspect with SK-KD is in high category, acttractiveness aspect is in high category, and aspects of legibility is in very high category.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen asesmen berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang terdiri dari tiga langkah, yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan produk, dan pengujian produk. Subyek penelitian ini adalah instumen asesmen berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN yang ada di Bandar Lampung. Pada instrumen asesmen yang dikembangkan, dilakukan uji validasi ahli dan tanggapan guru. Instrumen asesmen yang dikembangkan dinilai dalam tiga aspek, yaitu aspek kesesuaian isi dengan SK-KD, aspek kemenarikan, dan aspek keterbacaan. Berdasarkan tanggapan guru diperoleh hasil yaitu aspek kesesuaian isi materi dengan SK-KD berkategori tinggi, aspek kemenarikan berkategori tinggi, dan aspek keterbacaan berkategori sangat tinggi.Kata kunci: instrumen asesmen, larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit, representasi kimia

Abstract

This research was aimed to develop the plasticware- based apparatus in determining of solution freezing point depression that was conducted by five steps in research and development design until product revision. The result of design validation apparatus had very good criteria for suitablity concept; abundant materials, ease in store, removable, observable; safety, and durability, except achievable cost and based on plasticware aspect. Based on the result of feasibility validation, this apparatus had very good criteria for the aspects of the relevancy with teaching, abundant materials, educational value, durability, the efficiency, and safety for students, except accuracy aspect. All of apparatuss component on the functional testing results and teacher s response were also had very good criteria. Based on the research result, it could be conclude that developed appratus was feasible to be used in the learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat penentuan penurunan titik beku larutan berbahan dasar plastik, yang diperoleh melalui lima tahapan pada desain penelitian dan pengembangan hingga tahap revisi produk. Hasil validasi desain terhadap alat menunjukkan kriteria baik sekali pada aspek kesesuaian dengan konsep; kemudahan memperoleh bahan, penyimpanan, pemindahan, pengamatan; keamanan, dan ketahanan; kecuali pada aspek keterjangkauan biaya dan berbahan dasar plastik. Berdasarkan hasil validasi terhadap kelayakan alat, menunjukkan bahwa aspek keterkaitan dengan bahan ajar, nilai pendidikan, ketahanan alat, efisiensi penggunaan alat, dan keamanan bagi siswa memiliki kriteria baik sekali; kecuali pada aspek ketepatan pengukuran. Seluruh komponen alat pada hasil uji keberfungsian dan hasil tanggapan guru terhadap alat yang dikembangkan, juga menunjukkan kriteria baik sekali. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, alat praktikum yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Kata kunci : alat praktikum, penurunan titik beku, barang-barang berbahan plastik, sifat koligatif.

Abstract

Students who have different levels of cognitive ability then were given the same learning matery, those the critical thinking skills will be appropriate with the level of their cognitive ability. This research aimed to describe the ability of giving reason and interpreting a statement on the acid-base matery through the application of LC3E in each group.  The subject in this research was students of Grade XI Sains 4 Senior High School 12 Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2012/2013. This research was a descriptive research, used the pre-experimental method  with a one-shot case study design. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. Based on the result of data analysis summarized that ability of giving reason in high level group: almost all were excellent and the others were good. In  intermediate level group, almost all were good and the others were excellent.  In low level group, almost all were good and the others were good enough. The ability of  interpreting a statement in high level group: half were excellent, almost half were good, and the others were good enough. In intermediate level group, just small part were excellent, almost half were good and the others were good enough. Abstract

This research aimed todescribe the skills of  hipotesist and communication on colloidal material with application of guided inquiry learning model for high, medium, and low cognitive groups students. The subjects were XI Science 1 of Swadhipa Natar South Lampung 2012/2013. This research waspreexperimental research design with one-shot case study. It used descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the students skill in hipotesist, in high group, 80% was excellent; and 20% good. In medium group, 16,67% was excellent;and 83,33%  good. In the low group, 10% was good; and 90% was enough. For the students skill of communicating, in high group, 60% was excellent; and 40% good. In medium group, 25% excellent; 58,33% good; and 16,67%  enough. In the low group, 30% good; and 70%  enough. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan merumuskan hipotesis dan mengkomunikasikan siswa pada materi koloid dengan model inkuri terbimbing kelompok kognitif tinggi, sedang, dan rendah.  Subyek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA1 SMA Swadhipa Natar tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian inimerupakanpre-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one-shot case study. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif.  Hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam merumuskan hipotesis pada :kelompok tinggi 80% siswa berkriteria sangat baik, dan 20% baik;kelompok sedang 16,67% berkriteria sangat baik,dan 83,33% baik;kelompok rendah 10%berkriteria baik, dan90%cukup.Kemampuan siswa dalam mengkomunikasikan pada :kelompok tinggi 60% siswa berkriteria sangat baik, dan 40%baik;kelompok sedang 25% berkriteria sangat baik,58,33% baik, dan 16,67% cukup; kelompok rendah 30% berkriteria baik, dan 70 %cukup.Kata kunci : inkuiri terbimbing, mengkomunikasikan, merumuskan hipotesis

Abstract

The aimed of this research was to describe the effectiveness of scientific approach on acid base topic to improve planning skill. The population in this research was 166 students from all the IPA of the 11th grade in SMAN 1 Pringsewu for 2014/2015 academic year. This quasi experiment used non equivalent (pretest-posttest) control group design, with the IPA1 and the IPA2 of the 11th grade as the research class, where they were obtained by using purposive sampling. The result showed that the n-Gain average of planning skill in experimental and control class were 0.47 and 0.34, respectively. Based on the hypothesis testing result, it was concluded that learning with scientific approach on acid base topic was effective to improve planning skill.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pendekatan ilmiah pada materi asam basa dalam meningkatkan keterampilan merencanakan. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 166 siswa dari seluruh kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Pringsewu tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Metode kuasi eksperimen menggunakan non equivalent (pretest-posttest) control group design, dengan kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA2 sebagai kelas penelitian, dimana kelas penelitian tersebut diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan merencanakan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol masing-masing sebesar 0,47 dan 0,34. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan ilmiah pada materi asam basa efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan merencanakan.Kata Kunci: asam basa, keterampilan merencanakan, pendekatan ilmiah

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the application of problem solving learning model in analyzing skill classifying and concept mastery for students cognitive groups of high, intermediate and low level group.  The subjects were students of class X1 IPA 3 SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung Academic Year 2012/2013.  This research used the pre-experimental method  with a one-shot case study design.  It was a descriptive research. The results showed skills group in high level group 87.5% were excellent and 12.50% were good; in the intermediate level group,34.78% were excellent  and 64.22% were good; in the low level group 14.29% were excellent, 35.71% were good, and 50% were enough.  Concept mastery, in the hight level group 75.00% were excellent and 25.00% were good; in the intermediate level group 26.68% were excelent, 69.59% were good, and 4.35% were enought; in the low level group 7.14% were excellent, 35.72% were good and 57.14% were enough.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran problem solving dalam menganalisis keterampilan mengelompokkan dan penguasaan konsep siswa untuk kelompok kognitif siswa kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah.  Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA3 SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Metode penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental dengan one-shot case study design.  Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan mengelompokan pada kelompok tinggi 87,50% berkriteria sangat baik dan 12.50% baik; pada kelompok sedang 34,78% sangat baik dan 64,22% baik; pada kelompok rendah 14,29% sangat baik, 35,71% baik, dan 50% cukup.  Penguasaan konsep pada kelompok tinggi 75% berkriteria sangat baik dan 25% baik; pada kelompok sedang 26,68% sangat baik, 69,59% baik, dan 4,35% cukup; pada kelompok rendah 7,14% b sangat baik,35,72% baik dan 57,14% cukup.Kata kunci : kelompok kognitif, keterampilan mengelompokkan, penguasaan konsep, problem solving

Abstract

This research was aimed to describe the effectiveness of problem based learning model to improve student’s flexibility thinking skill on buffer solution topic.  The research method used was quasi experimental with non-equivalenpretest-postest control group design.  The sample of this research were students on one of Senior High School in Tulang Bawang Barat for 2017-2018 academic year in grade XI IPA 1 as a experiment class and XI IPA 2 as a control class that was obtained by using cluster random sampling. The effectiveness of problem based learning model was showed by the significant difference for average n-Gain of flexible thinking skill between the experiment and control class, for experiment class was 0,75 with high categorize and for control class was 0,37 with middle cateogorize. The effectiveness was also supported by data of the teacher’s ability to manage learning with high criteria.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir luwes pada materi larutan penyangga.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan non-equivalen pretest-postest control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dari salah satu SMA di Tulang Bawang Barat tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 di kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diperoleh menggunakan cluster random sampling.  Efektivitas model Problem Based Learning ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan rata-rata n-Gain keterampilan berpikir luwes yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, yaitu kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,75 dengan kategori “tinggi” dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,37 dengan kategori “sedang”.  Efektivitas juga didukung dengan data kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran dengan kriteria tinggi. Kata kunci: berpikir luwes, Problem Based Learning, larutan penyangga

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the effect of guided inquiry based student worksheet in increasing inferring and communicating skills on electrolite and non-electrolite solution topic. Population in this study was all students of class X MIPA SMA YP Unila Bandarlampung. Samples in this study were students of class X MIPA 8 as experimental class and students of class X MIPA 2 as control class which obtained by purposive sampling technique. The research method was quasi experiment with non equivalence pretest-posttest control group design. The result showed that n-gain average in experiment class is higher than control class, it confirmed that guided inquiry based student worksheet was effective in increasing inferring and communicating skills on electrolite and non-electrolite solution topic. Abstract

This research aimed to describe the Learning Cycle three-phase (LC 3E)  learning model that are effective in improving the prediction skills and concept’ mastery on acid-base material. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. This research use a quasi-experimental methods with Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. The sample in this research is students of State Senior High School 1 Pekalongan in East Lampung and obtained XI sains 1 and XI sains 4 class at school year 2013-2014 which has almost the same characteristics. The effectiveness of LC 3E learning model measured on the difference and the improvement of a significant gain. The results showed the average value of n-Gain prediction skills for control class and experiment class are 0.37 and 0.62, and the average value of n-Gain concept’ mastery for control class and experiment class are 0.53 and 0.65. Based on the test of the hypothesis, it is known that a class with LC 3E learning model has prediction skills and concept’ mastery higher than conventional class learning. This showed that the LC 3E learning was more effective in improving the prediction skills and concept’s  mastery.Keywords: Learning Cycle three-phase, the prediction skills, and concept’ mastery.
