Abstract

This research aimed to develop interactive e-book anddescribe the responses of teachers and students to interactive e-book developed. The implementation phase of the research was started from need assessment carried out in the Metro city, design and development of interactive e-book products which was developed. Then, the limited test was done at SMA Negeri 1Belitang. Based on the expert validation results, it obtained that the percentages of interactive e-book on aspects of contents suitability with the curriculum,legibility, and construction were 86%; 97.33%; and 100%, respectively. Thepercentages of teachers responses on the aspects of the content suitability of thetest with the curriculum and the graphics were 94% and 92%, respectively,while the students' responses on the aspects of legibility was equal to 89.09%.Based on the result, the interactive e-book on the thermochemical material basedon chemical representation was prospered to be used as learning sources.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-book interaktif dan mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap e-book interaktif yang dikembangkan. Tahap pelaksanaan penelitian ini dimulai dari analisis kebutuhan yang dilaksanakan di kota Metro, perancangan dan pengembangan produk e-book. Kemudian dilakukan uji coba terbatas di SMA Negeri 1 Belitang. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli diperoleh persentase e-book interaktif pada aspek kesesuaian isi dengan kurikulum, keterbacaan, dan konstruksi sebesar 86%; 97,33%; dan 100% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Persentase tanggapan guru pada aspek uji kesesuaian isi dengan kurikulum dan grafika adalah sebesar 94% dan 92%, sedangkan respon siswa pada aspek keterbacaan adalah sebesar 89,09% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, e-book interaktif pada materi termokimia berbasis representasi kimia layak untuk digunakan sebagai sumber belajar.Kata kunci: e-book interaktif, representasi kimia, termokimia

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the Problem Solving learning model that are effective in improving the communication and the inferen  skills on Redoks Reaction  material. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. This research use a quasi-experimental methods with Non Equivalent (Pretest and Posttest) Control Group Design. The sample in this research is students of State Senior High School Yadika in Bandar Lampung and obtained X 3 and X 5 class at school year 2012-2013 which has almost the same characteristics. The effectiveness of Problem Solving learning model measured on the difference and the improvement of a significant N-gain. The results showed the average value of N-gain communication  skills for control class and experiment  class are 0,44 and 0.62, and the average value of N-gain inferen skills for control class and experiment class are 0.45 and 0.60. Based on the test of the hypothesis, it is known that a class with Problem Solving learning model has the communication and the inferen skills higher than conventional class learning. This showed that the Problem Solving learning was more effective in improving the communication and the inferen skills.Kata kunci:   pembelajaran problem solving, keterampilan mengkomunika­sikan, keterampilan menyimpulkan.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions; describe the characteristics animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions; describe the teachers responses and students response to animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions; and know the obstacles encountered when developing animation media based on chemical representation of oxidation reduction reactions. This research used the Research and Development method. The result showed that based on teacher and students responses the complaince content of animation media was high (80%) according to teacher, the attractiveness was very high (83,45%) according to student.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi; mendeskripsikan karakteristik media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi; mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi; dan mengetahui faktor pendukung dan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi ketika mengembangkan media animasi berbasis representasi kimia pada materi reaksi oksidasi reduksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Dari hasil tanggapan guru diperoleh data bahwa pada aspek kesesuaian isi media animasi dengan kriteria tinggi sebesar 80%, dan memiliki tingkat kemenarikan sangat tinggi yaitu 83,45% menurut siswa.Kata kunci : media animasi, reaksi oksidasi reduksi, representasi kimia

Abstract

This study aimed to develop student worksheets based on multiple representations with learning model of SiMaYang type II to arise students mental models and concept mastery. This study used Research and Development method, including: a preliminary studies, student worksheets design and expert testing and limited trial. Expert testing was conducted on student worksheets yield that it has developedby threevalidators. Limited trial of student worksheets was conducted in 10thgrade of IPA3 of SMA Gajah Mada Bandarlampung to see practicality and effectiveness of it. The results of the study showed that student worksheets was developed has: (1) high validity, 2) high practicality and effectiveness; (3) Mental models of students could be grown toward good and very good mental model; (4) Concept mastery of students increased with medium n-Gain categorized.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS berbasis multipel representasi dengan model pembelajaaran SiMaYang Tipe II untuk menumbuhkan model mental dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan yang mencakup: studi pendahuluan, desain LKS dan uji ahli serta uji coba terbatas. Uji ahli dilakukan terhadap LKS hasil pengembangan oleh tiga orang validator. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada kelas X IPA3 SMA Gajah Mada Bandarlampung untuk melihat kepraktisan dan keefektivan dari LKS yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki: (1) validitas yang tinggi; (2) kepraktisan dan keefektivan yang tinggi; 3) model mental siswa yang dapat ditumbuhkan kearah model mental baik dan sangat baik; 4) penguasaan konsep siswa meningkat dengan n-Gain berkategori sedang.Kata kunci : LKS, model mental, model SiMaYang Tipe II, penguasaan konsep

Abstract

Concidentally educator in chosed instruction model influence of communicate skill level and concept’s mastery. Communicate skill and concept’s mastery to training by instruction model appropriate would be accompany student for more significant instruction. The research for get a effective instruction model in increase communicate skill and concept’s mastery to acid-based materials. Learning Cycle 3E model consist from 3 phase : Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration. Sample in research is students in senior high school state 1 pekalongan, Class XI sains one and XI sains four, even semester  school year 20012-2013 have a same characteristics. The research is kuasi-experiment method with non equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. Effectiveness LC 3E measure and based on significant gain increase. The research indicated average value N-gain communicate skill. For control and experiment class each 0,55 and 0,66 and average N-gain concept’s mastery for control and experiment class 0,53 and 0,65. Based on hypothesis test, know that class with LC 3E instruction have communicate skill and concept’s mastery more high than class with convensional instruction. Abstract

This research aimed to describe the skills of communicating and infering on colloidal material with application of problem solving learning model for high, medium, and low cognitive groups students. The subjects were XI Science 1 of Senior High School 12 Bandar Lampung 2012/2013. This research was pre-experimental research design with one shot case study. It used descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that (1) the students’ skill in communicating, in high group, 88,89% was excellent, and 11,11% good; in medium group, 27,22% was excellent, 59,08%  good, and 13,7%  enough; in the low group, 22,22% was excellent, 33,33% good, and 44% enough. (2) the students’ skill of inferring, in high group, 77,7% was excellent, and 22,3% good; in medium group, 36,6% was excellent, and 63,4% good; in the low group, 11,11% was excellent, 66,67%  good, and 22% enough.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan menyimpulkan pada materi koloid dengan penerapan model probem solving untuk siswa kelompok kognitif tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Subyek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA1 SMA N 12 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini merupa­kan pre-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one shot case study. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif.  Dari hasil analisis data disimpulkan (1) keterampilan mengkomunikasikan, kelompok tinggi 88,89% siswa berkriteria sangat baik, dan 11,11% baik; kelompok sedang 27,22% berkriteria sangat baik, 59,08% baik, dan 13,7% cukup; kelompok rendah 22,22%  berkriteria sangat baik, 33,33% baik dan 44% cukup. (2) Keterampilan menyimpulkan, kelompok tinggi 77,7% siswa berkriteria sangat baik, dan 22,3% baik; ke­lom­pok sedang 36,6% berkriteria sangat baik, dan 63,4% baik; kelompok rendah 11,11% berkri­teria sangat baik, 66,67% baik, dan 22 % cukup.Kata kunci: koloid, mengkomunikasikan, menyimpulkan,  problem solving.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to 1) describe characteristics of student worksheets oriented on High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) that  developed, 2) describe teacher’s response to student worksheets that  developed and 3) describe students’ response to student worksheets that  developed.  The research method was Research and Development (RD).  The validation result was obtained average percentage on aspects in suitability of content, construction, and readability were 84.30% , 84,00% and 81,50% respectively. The result of teacher’s response was obtained average percentage on aspects in suitability of content, construction, and readability were 88,30%, 93,00% and 92,50% respectively.  The result of students’ responsewas obtained average percentage on aspects inreadability and attractiveness were 84,36% and 81,50% respectively.  Based on validation result, teacher’s response and students’ response on aspects in suitability of content, construction, readability and attractiveness, student worksheets that developed categorized in very high and showed that the student’ worksheets was proper to be used on learning.Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini untuk 1) mendeskripsikan karakteristik LKS berorientasi HOTS  yang dikembangkan, 2) mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru mengenai LKS yang dikembangkan dan 3) mendeskripsikan tanggapan siswa mengenai LKS yang dikembangkan.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah  metode penelitian Research and Development (RD) dari Sukmadinata (2011).  Hasil validasi ahli pada aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan LKS diperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 84.30% , 84,00% dan 81,50%.  Hasil tanggapan guru terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan diperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 88,30%, 93,00% dan 92,50%.  Hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap aspek keterbacaan dan kemenarikan diperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 84,36% dan 81,50%.  Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli, tanggapan oleh guru dan siswa terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi, konstruksi, keterbacaandan kemenarikan, LKS yang dikembangkan dikategorikan sangat tinggi sehingga LKS layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci:  keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, LKS, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit

Abstract

This study aimed to describe guided-inquiry based students worksheet affects the enhancement of identifying variables and determining procedures skills. Samples in this study were students of class X MIPA 8 as an experimental class (use guided-inquiry based students worksheet) and X MIPA 2 as a control class (use conventional students worksheet). The research method used quasi experimental with non equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The result showed that averagen-gain for experimental class is higher than control class. It confirmed that the guided inquiry based students worksheetaffects the enhancement of students identifying variables and determining procedures skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap peningkatan keterampilan mengidentifikasi variabel dan menentukan langkah. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA 8 sebagai kelas eksperimen (menggunakan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing) dan siswa kelas X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol (menggunakan LKS konvensional). Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuasi eksperimental dengan desain non ekuivalen pretes-postes kontrol grup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Artinya, penggunaan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam mengidentifikasi variabel dan menentukan langkah kerja.Kata kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit, LKS, menentukan langkah kerja, mengidentifikasi variabel

Abstract

Abstract, chemistry learning in schools tends to just memorize the concepts and less able to use these concepts if faced problems in real life that associated with the concept held. The result is chemistry learning losing its appeal and its relevance to the real world that should be become the object of the science. Therefore, it is designed a learning through SBEI learning model.The Research aims to determine the effectiveness of the SBEI learning model in increasing mastery of concepts on electrolyte and non electrolyte solution material. This research using a quasi-experimental methods Non Equivalent (pretest and postest) Control Group Design. The research sample are X1 and X3 grade students of SMAN 1 Gadingrejo (State senior high school 1 Gadingrejo) 2011-2012 school year that have almost the same characteristics. This Effectiveness of SBEI learning model is measured based on significantly gain increase. The results showing that n-Gain average value of mastery on concepts for the control and experimental classes respectively are 0.498 and 0.572.Based on the hypothesis testing, improved that class with SBEI learning has higher mastery on concepts than conventional learning model. This shows that SBEI learning is more effective in mastering concept of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions.Keywords: learning by Empirical Inductive Learning Cycle models, concept mastery.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know effectiveness of problem solving learning model in enhancing inferring and communicating skill in colloid material. Populations were all 227 students of Grade XI science in YP Unila Senior High School in Bandar Lampung. The samples were 36 students in classroom XI science one and 39 students in classroom XI science two that have equal academic abilities. This was a quasi experiment research using non equivalent control group design. Effectiveness of learning with problem solving model was measured based on significant gain enhancement. The result showed that average values of N-gain of inferring skill in experiment and control classrooms were 0.59 and 0.47 respectively; and average values of N-gain for communicating skill in experiment and control classrooms were 0.56 and 0.47 respectively. The hypothesis result test showed that classroom that used problem solving learning model had higher skill in inferring and communicating than classroom with conventional learning model. This indicated that problem solvinglearning model was effective to enhance student’s inferring and communicating skill in colloid material.Keywords: Problem Solving, inferring and communicating skill
