Abstract

The thinking skills of students can not be separated from the role of a teacher, because the role of a teacher affect student learning outcomes. Besides questions given by the teacher is also one important factor to consider, as most questions given to students not refer to the thinking of students, the student should be able to think in symbolic or imaginative in solving a problem. The results showed that students ability to think in SMAN I Abung Pekurun only covers in three categories A1, C1, and C2. In the category A1 with a percentage of 20%, category C1 2.85% and category C2 at 77.14%. Based on data analysis results show that most students have the ability to think in the concrete operational stage C2. In this category students' mastery of concepts is pretty well.Kemampuan berpikir siswa tidak lepas dari peran seorang guru, karena peran seorang guru berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Selain itu soal yang diberikan oleh guru juga merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang perlu diperhatikan, karena sebagian besar soal yang diberikan kepada siswa belum mengacu ke arah berpikir siswa, yaitu siswa diharapkan dapat berpikir secara simbolik atau imajinatif dalam emecahkan suatu permasalahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir siswa SMAN I Abung Pekurun Kota Bumi hanya mencakup tiga kategori yaitu A1, C1, dan C2. Pada kategori A1 dengan persentase 20%, kategori C1 sebesar 2,85% dan kategori C2 sebesar 77,14%. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki kemampuan berpikir pada tahap operasional konkret C2. Pada kategori ini penguasaan konsep siswa cukup baik.Kata kunci : kemampuan berpikir, tahap operasional konkret, dan tahap operasional formal.

Abstract

The presence of students who did not complete the learning requires teachers to implement the different learning methods in remedial. The purpose of this research is to analyse differences in cognitive remedial learning outcomes, to describe the science process skills, character, activities and attitudes of students’ in remedial learning material measuring tools using media ICT simulation in SMP Miftahul Ulum Sekincau. The results showed that there were differences in learning outcomes of remedial students using media ICT simulation with an average score of N-Gain which is equal to 0.3 or in the medium category. Science process skills students’ formed quite well with the average value of 2.0, while the character of students’ is well established with an average value of 3.0. Students’ also, were active with an average value of 8.3 and the activity showed a positive attitudes towards measurment tool remedial using media ICT simulation.Adanya siswa yang tidak tuntas mengharuskan guru untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran remedial menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan hasil belajar remedial ranah kognitif, mendeskripsikan Keterampilan Proses Sains, karakter, aktivitas dan sikap siswa, pada pembelajaran remedial alat-alat ukur menggunakan media TIK simulasi, di SMP Miftahul Ulum Sekincau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan hasil belajar remedial siswa menggunakan media TIK simulasi dengan rata-rata skor N-Gain yakni sebesar 0,3 atau dalam kategori sedang. Keterampilan proses sains siswa terbentuk cukup baik dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 2,0, sedangkan karakter siswa terbentuk dengan baik dengan rata-rata nilai 3,0. Siswa juga terlihat aktif dengan nilai rata-rata aktivitas sebesar 8,3 dan menunjukkan sikap positif terhadap pembelajaran remedial menggunakan media TIK simulasi.Kata kunci: media TIK simulasi, remedial, keterampilan proses sains, karakter, aktivitas.

Abstract

This developmental research was intended to make an interactive multimedia tutorial model by using Microsoft PowerPoint for SMP/MTs on the static and dynamic electricity subjects that contain materials, interactive animation, virtual labs, exercises, and competence test. This design of evelopmental research modified the process of the instructional media development developed by Sadiman, et al. With the stages of work procedure that comprise needs analysis, objectives, materials, synopsis, initial script, prototype production, evaluation consisting of three phases, namely the material expert test, the design expert test, and one on one expert test. This also includes revision, final script, trials, and final program. The result of one on one test stating that this interactive multimedia has an interesting quality, easy to use,and it is very useful. It is also the same with the result of field test that also has an interesting quality, easy to use, and it is very useful also.From the result of the field test can be concluded that this interactive multimedia is very effective to beused as a learning resource. Keywords: research and development, interactive multimedia, tutorial model,static electricity and electric dynamic SMP/MTs.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the thinking ability and mastery of the physics concept of XI IPA student with Static Fluid as material, through learning with  process skills approach. In this research, the population is all students of XI  IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Dewa Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Barat year 2011/2012 with XI IPA 1 as a sample. Research Design is a quasi-experimental One Group Pretest- Posttest Design. One Way Anova is used to analyze data. Based on hypothesis testing, it was concluded that there is no difference in students' mastery of physics concepts between students with concrete thinking ability and formal thinking ability through the process skills approach of learning, and there are differences in the number of students with concrete thinking ability and formal thinking ability before and after learning through the process skills approach.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir dan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa SMA kelas XI IPA pada materi Fluida Statis yang dibelajarkan melalui pembelajaran dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pagar Dewa Kabupataen Tulang Bawang Barat semester genap Tahun 2011/2012 dengan kelas XI IPA 1 sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah One Way Anova. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep fisika siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir konkrit dan berpikir formal melalui pembelajaran dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses, dan terdapat perbedaan jumlah siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir konkrit dan berpikir formal sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses. Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Keterampilan Proses, Penguasaan Konsep, Kemampuan Berpikir

Abstract

The results of a comparative study was conducted by PISA 2009 showed that the mean score of science literacy test in Indonesian students is still relatively low. Some of the factors that cause are learning in school activities tend to be centered on teachers, so it makes the students get difficult to develop their science communication skills, besides students' ability to interpret the data from a representation to another representation is still low. One of efforts that can assist to improve the students’science literacy especially in newton law material is to develop students' science communication skills. The objective of this research is to determine the effect of science communication skills using Multiple Representation learning approach to science literacy of junior high school students. Sample class is selected by cluster random sampling. The research design that is used one-shot case study. The results showed that there is a positive and significant effect between science communication skills through Multiple Representations approach to science literacy of junior high school. Both variables have a strong correlation, that is 0.61 with a contribution is 37%.Keywords: science communication skills, Multiple Representations learning approach, and students’ science literacy.

Abstract

This study purpose is to investigate the effect of students activity in the phisics learning of the momentum and impulse material to the physics student learning outcomes. Design of experiments in this study is using the One Shoot Case Study. Then, to test the effect of the linearity test, and simple linear regression are based on data activity on student learning outcomes. The results showed that there are significant positive linear and significant correlation between physical activity on learning outcomes of students with determinant contribution by 22% .Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh aktivitas belajar fisika siswa pada materi impuls dan momentum terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa. Desain eksperimen pada penelitian ini menggunakan bentuk One Shoot Case Study. Kemudian untuk menguji pengaruh dilakukan uji linearitas, dan regresi linear sederhana berdasarkan data aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh linear yang positif dan signifikan antara aktivitas terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa dengan kontribusi determinan sebesar 22%.Kata kunci: aktivitas, hasil belajar, pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of experimental skill with the discovery approach at student’s learning outcomes. This research had been done in the class of X15 at SMA Perintis Bandar Lampung. The sample of this research was consist of 40 students and it used cluster random sampling technique type. According to the result of this research, the data contained the experimental skill and the student’s learning outcomes. The data, which was analyzed by correlation and regression analysis showed that it had normal distribution and linear result. The result of this research indicated that there was a linier and significant effect of experimental skill at student’s learning outcomes which got percentage 18,5 % of the coefficient value of the determination and the coefficient value of the correlation was 0,430.Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan eksperimen dengan pendekatan discovery terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas X15 di SMA Perintis Bandar Lampung. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 40 siswa dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Rancangan eksperimen penelitian ini menggunakan bentuk Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan tipe One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh data keterampilan eksperimen dan hasil belajar siswa yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode korelasi dan regresi, hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa data tersebut berdistribusi normal dan linier. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang linear dan signifikan atas keterampilan eksperimen siswa terhadap hasil belajar siswa sebesar 18,5% yang merupakan nilai koefisien determinasi dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,430.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, keterampilan eksperimen, pendekatan discovery

Abstract

The aims of this developmental research are: (1) to make an ICT-based interactive module about waves through scientific approach and (2) to reveal the attractiveness and effectiveness of ICT-based interactive module which is being developed as a learning resource. This developmental research is designed using 11 stages of procedure that comprise; needs analysis, objectives, materials, synopsis, initial script, prototype production, evaluation (material expert test, design expert test, and one on one test), revision, final script, trials, and final program. The population of this research was the second year science-students at SMAN 1 Kebun Tebu. The one on one test resulted that this interactive module was very attractive, very easy to use, and very useful. The field test resulted that this interactive module was attractive, easy to use, and very useful. It also was effective to be used as a learning resource because 79.31% of students reached the passing grade.Tujuan penelitian pengembangan ini adalah: (1) membuat modul interaktif berbasis ICT materi pokok gelombang dengan pendekatan saintifik dan (2) mengungkapkan kemenarikan dan keefektifan modul interaktif berbasis ICT yang dikembangkan sebagai suatu sumber belajar. Metode pengembangan meliputi sebelas tahapan pengembangan, yaitu; analisis kebutuhan, tujuan, pokok materi, treatment, naskah awal, produksi prototipe, evaluasi (uji ahli materi, uji ahli desain dan uji satu lawan satu), revisi, naskah akhir, uji coba, dan program final. Populasi penelitian merupakan siswa kelas XI IPA di SMAN 1 Kebun Tebu yang berjumlah 29 siswa. Hasil uji satu lawan satu menunjukkan modul interaktif sangat menarik, sangat mudah digunakan, dan sangat bermanfaat. Hasil uji coba produk menunjukkan bahwa produk menarik, mudah digunakan dan sangat bermanfaat. Hasil uji coba keefektifan menunjukkan bahwa modul interaktif efektif untuk digunakan sebagai suatu sumber belajar dengan persentase siswa yang tuntas KKM sebanyak 79,31%.Kata kunci: modul interaktif berbasis ICT, pendekatan saintifik, pengembangan.

Abstract

Physics teachers have used the approach to the material process skills using practical. However, the physics student learning outcomes is still relatively low. This is due to the observed process skills are less complex. So the results of their study was still relatively low. This study aimed to determine (1) The effect of the ability to think on mastery of concepts students with the skills approach, (2) The effect of the ability to think on learning outcomes of students' learning process skills approach. This research was conducted in the classroom VII5 School 1 Pekalongan are 32 students in the semester of the school year 2012/2013 with the material sub Heat. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The design of this study is the One-Shot Case Study. Based on this study, the data obtained thinking skills, mastery of concepts and learning result are then analyzed using linear regression with SPSS 17.0. The analysis showed that the three data were normally distributed and linear. Furthermore, to examine the effect done by correlation test and simple linear regression with SPSS 17.0. The results of this study show that: (1) There is the influence of the ability to think on mastery of concepts students with the skills approach. and (2) There is the influence of the ability to think on learning outcomes process skills approach.Keywords: thinking skills, process skills approach, mastery concepts, learning result.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to find out: (1) The average difference between the results of studying the physics with guided inquiry learning by experimental methods and demonstrations. (2) Physics results are higher among the guided inquiry learning by experimentation and demonstration methods. The research method used is a quasi experiment then, the sampling technique used in this study was using random sampling techniques. The results of the research conducted are: There is an average difference between the results of learning physics in guided inquiry learning with experimental methods and demonstrations, where the average value of learning outcomes in the classroom physics experiment is 80.13 while in the demonstration class is 68.75. The results of the study in physics using the experimental method is more effective than demonstration method.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) Perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar fisika antara pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan metode eksperimen dan demonstrasi. (2) Hasil belajar fisika yang lebih tinggi antara pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan metode eksperimen dan demonstrasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen, teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah: Ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar fisika antara pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan metode eksperimen dan demonstrasi dimana rata-rata nilai hasil belajar fisika pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 80,13 sedangkan pada kelas demonstrasi yaitu 68,75. Hasil belajar fisika yang menggunakan metode eksperimen lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan metode demonstrasi.Kata kunci: hasil belajar siswa, inkuiri terbimbing, metode demonstrasi, metode eksperimen.
