Abstract

Praxis is an effective method in science learning, especially physics where there is interaction between teachers and students, and is guided by the scientific method. Learning with praxis provides direct experience with the scientific method. This study aims to test and determine the quality of psychomotor assessment instruments for dynamic fluid practicum. The applied method was quantitative. The quality test used empirical and field tests with expert judgment, physics teachers (the practitioners), and learners. The researchers collected the data with test and non-test techniques. The data collection instruments were the product validation sheet, item assessment sheet, and user's response. The quantitative data analysis used descriptive statistics. The researchers used V-Aiken for product validation, Pearson Product Moment for test item quality, and Cronbach Alpha to determine the item reliability. The researchers analyzed the responses with percentage values. The results showed the instrument quality and question items get a high V-Aiken score and get a significance value that fulfills the minimum value limit for validity and the reliability aspect get the high category. Then, responses from users represent that the majority of users agree about using the instrument so that the assessment instrument tested has adequate, feasible and adaptive quality to use in the physics praxis of Senior High Schools. Keywords: Assessment instrument, Psychomotor Competency, Reliability, Physics praxisDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v10.n1.202209

Abstract

The SAVI learning model combines four learning styles, for example visual (understanding everyday life phenomena through modules), somatic (collecting data), intellectual (solving problems), Auditory (communicating observations in front of the class). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the PhET-Assisted Somatic, Audio, Visual, Intellectual Learning Model (SAVI) on Students ' Activities and Learning Outcomes. This study uses a Quasi Experimental Design, the design used is the Nonequivalent Control Group Design . Sampling using probability sampling technique , then, the type used in this study is simple random sampling. So that we get class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class. Student activity measured by observation for the two classes experienced a fairly far comparison, the average control class activity was 69.72 while the experimental class was 78.88. For the analysis of student learning outcomes , t count is 3.01, with t table 2.81, which means t count t table , the conclusion is H 0 is rejected and H 1 is accepted which means there is an influence of Somatic, Audio, Visual, Intellectual Learning Models (SAVI) PhET Assisted on Activities and Learning Outcomes. Keywords: SAVI, PhET Simulation , Activity, Learning OutcomesDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v10.n1.202208

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an instrument of teacher beliefs about learning and teaching in hybrid learning in the post-COVID-19 (New Normal) era. In addition to producing a questionnaire instrument, this study looks for the relationship of belief to learning and learning with Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The research subjects were selected through a random sampling technique (through a lottery) by several teachers/prospective teachers of physics education at schools and in higher education institutions. Structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis was performed using AMOSS v26 using a strong categorical data estimator. The SEM results show the teaching and learning conceptions questionnaire in the marginal fit category (RMSEA) poor fit (NFI, RFI, IFI, TLI, and CGI), in addition, it is shown that the indicators have good internal consistency but lack formation in the latent variance variable. Meanwhile, the results of the SEM Epistemological Beliefs Questionnaire are in the poor fit category, both seen from the RMSEA and NFI, RFI, IFI, TLI, and CGI. Indicators of Fixed ability, learning effort, Authority, and Certainty Knowledge have good internal consistency, while Authority internal consistency is not good. The variance on the Epistemological belief questionnaire extracted from the indicators is greater for the formation of latent variables. Keywords: Adaption, Epistemological belief about teaching-learning questionnaire, Preservice physics teacherDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v10.n1.202213
