Abstract

The study aims to to determine the response of students to the integration of Al-Qur’an values in physics learning on the concept of quantities and units. This research is a survey study. Sampling was carried out using the Purposive Sampling method so that a sample of class X IPA4 was obtained because the class has been given physics learning of the concept of quantities and units by integrating the values of the Al-Qur’an.  Students' responses were measured using a questionnaire consisting of three aspects, namely spiritual attitudes, interests/ interests, and students' clarity/understanding of learning physics on the concept of quantities and units.  This research instrument is a response of students to the integration of Al-Qur’an values in learning physics of concept quantities and units with a percentage of 79.43%, showing very interesting results. Based on these findings, the integration of the value of the Al-Qur’an in the learning process can be used as an alternative in the physics learning process.Keywords: Quantities and units; integration of Al-Qur’an values; ResponseDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v10.n2.202206

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the process of designing Android-based                  E-Modules; and (2) knowing the feasibility of Android-Based E-Modules in helping class XI students understand the material for Electric Motor Installation at the Agriculture State Vocational School in Serang City. This research is a type of Research and Development research with reference to the Lee & Owens model (2004). The subjects of this study included 3 lecturers, 3 teachers, and students of class XI in the Department of Electrical Power Installation Engineering, Agriculture State Vocational School, Serang City. Data collection methods in this study are tests and non-tests. Based on the results of the Android-Based E-Module trial that was developed it is suitable for use as teaching materials, where the acquisition of an overall average aspect score by media experts is 3.59 in the very good category, the average overall aspect score by material experts is 3.50 in the category very good and the overall average score of aspects  by student responses to the E-Module is 3.78 in the very good category. Evaluation of students shows the results of the percentage of success of 83.15% which fall into the category of high success criteria.Keywords: design; e-module; and electric motor.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v10.n2.202202

Abstract

Research has been carried out on the development of physics props for measuring light wavelengths based on Arduino Uno with the diffraction lattice method (case study of visible light wavelengths), with the aim of determining the level of validity and practicality of arduino uno-based light wavelength measuring physics props with the diffraction lattice method. This research includes development research, with reference to the ADDIE development model with stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The testing of props is carried out with validity tests by media experts and material experts to determine the level of validity of the props that have been developed. In addition, product trials were also carried out to determine the level of practicality of teaching aids, through student response tests and assessments from physics teachers. Product trials were carried out at sma class XI MIPA with a total sample of 163 people. Based on the results of the validity test of media experts and material experts, it can be known that the level of validity of props is on very valid criteria with a percentage of 85.71% from media experts and 95.69% from material experts. Then, based on the results of practicality tests carried out through student response tests, it can be known that the level of practicality of teaching aids is on practical criteria, with a percentage of 78.74%.  Meanwhile, based on the results of practicality tests conducted through physics teacher assessments, it can be known that the level of practicality of teaching aids is on very practical criteria with a percentage gain of 84.28%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the physics props of arduino uno-based light wavelength measuring with the diffraction lattice method meet the criteria very valid and practical for use in the physics learning process.Keywords: Physics Props, Arduino Uno, Light Wave, Diffraction grid.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v10.n2.202207

Abstract

Researchers conducted a study entitled analysis of students' critical thinking skills on work and energy material at SMA PGRI Betung. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative which aims to describe the critical thinking skills of high school students. The researcher chose this method because in order to get an overview of mastery students critical thinking skills. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2021/2022 school year. The research subjects were 10th grade high school students consisting of 11 students. The results of research on critical thinking skills are produced through the provision of test instruments, namely pretests and posttests. The results obtained produced the lowest value in the aspect of critical thinking skills (KBK)the 3rd is 48.50 with a moderate presentation value. The highest value is in aspect critical thinking skills (KBK)5th at 72.73 with the high category. Critical thinking skills are also seen from the n-gain value. The result of the n-gain value is 0.44 which is in the moderate category. Therefore the category of critical thinking skills by looking at the results of the n-gain value produces an image to students that critical thinking skills must be improved. Educators must design physics learning to be even better so that it can change the skills of students. So that a change in learning design can change students and be trained in performing critical thinking skills. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the significant effect of the Resource-Based Learning model on students' problem-solving abilities. This research uses experimental quantitative research methods. The technique used is using a saturated sampling technique which can be called a census sample selection where all members of the population are sampled. The data analysis technique of this research is to compare the test results of the experimental class and the control class by using the pre-test and post-test normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was a significant effect on the experimental class that had been treated with the Resource-Based Learning (RBL) model on the problem-solving ability of light waves at SMA Adabiyah Palembang, this was evidenced by the results of the problem-solving abilities of the experimental class and the control sample class. From these results, the average problem-solving ability of the experimental class is greater than that of the control class. Then from the analysis obtained using IBM SPSS 15.0 with a t-test value of 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Resource-Based Learning (RBL) learning model on the ability to solve light wave material physics problems at SMA Adabiyah Palembang.Keywords: Learning model, Resource-based learning, Problem solving abilityDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v10.n2.202204

Abstract

This study aims to produce an e-module assisted by a professional flip PDF application based on guided inquiry on Newton's law material that is valid for students to use. The subject used is in class X at Gajah Mada 3 Palembang High School in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This research is only limited to the development stage due to time constraints and also the purpose of this research is only limited to developing and producing e-modules that are valid and practical. After conducting the research, the overall results were obtained, namely for validity based on material aspects, an average value of 88.8% was obtained in the "valid" category, and for the media aspect it was 90.85% "very valid". At the one-to-one trial stage, the average practicality score was 85.8% and the average test result was 81.7. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out students' responses to the New Learning Environmental program using the Canva application on Newton's law material. Based on the results of observations and interviews conducted in SMP Negeri 37 Semarang, it assumes a new learning environment or learning innovation to improve students' skills and students' understanding of Newton's law material. This study used a descriptive qualitative method in conducting observations and interviews. Class VII C was used as a sample. The results of the new learning environment were several answers in the training lessons on using the Canva application, which was helpful in the tasks in the form of products about Newton's law (infographics, mind mapping, posters, and videos) of material. During the learning, the students are very enthusiastic, free to be creative, and even free to change seats while learning. Abstract

The research carried out is development research which aims to produce e-modules based on local wisdom that are declared feasible. Feasibility is reviewed based on validity, practicality and effectiveness. This development research uses the Hannnafin & Peck model by going through three stages, namely needs assessment, design and development as well as implementation. In terms of validity, an average percentage of 93.45% is obtained with a very valid category. Practical results were obtained from the implementation and learning constraints by using Erika (local wisdom e-module) Dhadak Merak Reog Ponorogo dance which was stated to be practical. The implementation of learning using Erika gets 91.67% results in a very good category. The results of process-based activities using e-modules in learning obtained an average percentage of 75.71 in the good category. The effectiveness of student learning outcomes has increased with an average n-gain score of 0.3 in the moderate category. The results of student responses to learning using Erika (local e-module) Dhadak Merak Reog Ponorogo Dance obtained an average percentage of 87.59% in the very good category. Thus Erika (local wisdom e-module) Dhadak Merak Reog Ponorogo Dance on Newton's Law material is declared suitable for use in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness to be applied in learning.

Abstract

Art provides a unique lens through which to explore scientific phenomena, allowing students to visualize complex ideas and express their understanding in imaginative ways. Moreover, the combination of STEM and art, which we call STEAM, encourages holistic learning experiences. This study aims to develop STEAM-based electronic modules for physics learning, focusing on the Vibrations and Waves concept, and to assess the feasibility and attractiveness of this developed electronic module. This research follows a research and development (R&D) approach, employing a 3D development model (Define, Design, and Develop). The study was conducted at MTsN 1 Bandar Lampung, involving eighth-grade students as research participants. The research object was a STEAM-based electronic module on Vibrations and Waves material. Validation results were obtained from both media and subject matter experts, with both categories indicating a very high level of validation, signifying that the electronic module successfully meets the criteria for development based on media and subject matter. Furthermore, the results from development trials involving teachers and students indicated that the electronic module was highly attractive. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of physics education teacher candidates in developing physics learning media in the form of teaching aids. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This study was carried out at pre-service teacher in the 3rd semester who takes the physics learning media lectures at physics education department. The sample of the study was code A class and code B class totaling 61 people using the saturated sampling technique. The instrument used is an observation sheet by the course lecturer. The indicators for assessing the instructional tool project in this research are 1) conceptual accuracy; 2) ease of use; 3) media aesthetics; 4) the emergence of STEM aspects; 5) environmentally friendly (Go-green) and the utilization of recycled materials. The study result showed that for class A, students' ability to create STEM-based teaching aids has an average value of 79.8, and using used materials is 79.8. Class B tends to understand the concepts of better teaching aids with an average score of 78.9, and the media used is easy to use at 78.7. Through this research, it can be concluded that students' abilities to develop STEM-based learning media has good criteria. In the implementation of the research, the lecture model was used through project-based learning with a STEM approach. The results of this study will provide implications for further research to measure student creativity and communication skills in the development of teaching aids such as physics learning media.Keywords: Learning media, Pre-service student’s ability, STEMDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v11.n2.202305
