Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kosakata melalui kartu flash pada siswa kelas IV SDN 10 Palu. Penelitian ini didesain sebagai penelitian tindakan kelas secara kolaboratif yang mana peneliti dan kolaboratornya mendesain rencana pembelajaran, mengimplementasikan, mengadakan observasi dan merefleksikan hasil tindakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan 2 siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari tiga pertemuan. Kartu Flash digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kosakata siswa dalam belajar bahasa Inggris. Subyek penelitian adalah 40 siswa kelas empat di SDN 10 Palu. Untuk mengukur perkembangan kosakata siswa, tes dilakukan. Hasil yang diperoleh pada siklus 1 menunjukkan bahwa 21 siswa atau 52% dinyatakan lulus dan 19 siswa atau 48% dinyatakan gagal. Kemudian, rencana diperbaiki. Kelulusan meningkat menjadi 40 siswa atau 100% di siklus 2. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa implementasi tindakan melalui kartu flash mampu memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa. Abstract

This research is based on the desire to know how the character of a character in the novel Titip Rindu for Mother works Eidelweis Almira. This study aims to describe the character of the character in the novel Titip Rindu for the work of Eidelweis Almira with Sigmund's psychoanalytic theory. This research is a type of qualitative research, descriptive, using textual approach, and literature techniques. The analysis of interactive model data by Miles and Huberman was done by way of marking, classifying, and summarizing the results of analysis in harmony with Sigmund Freud's personality theory. The author displays the mother figure as the dominant object in the novel Titip Rindu Untuk Ibu without ruling out the important and interesting role of other characters. Mother in the novel Titip Rindu for Mother is very inspiring, especially the nature and character of how much the affection of a mother to patiently struggle and work hard to raise and raise the baby even though sometimes what is expected not in accordance with reality.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan strategi KWL dapat memperbaiki pemahaman membaca siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 4 Palu dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan strategi ini dalam mengaktifkan dan memotivasi siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi-eksperimental dengan nonequivalent pretest-posttest kelompok kontrol sebagai desainnya. Sampel dari penelitian ini dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Peneliti memilih kelas XI MIA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas control. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, kuesionner, dan test. Data dianalisa menggunakan statistik uji-t dan metode deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil test, ditemukan bahwa nilai t-counted (2.08) lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai t-table (1.998). Nilai rata-rata siswa pada kelas control meningkat dari 68.9 menjadi 80.5 setelah mendapatkan perlakuan. Selanjutnya, penerapan strategi KWL juga secara signifikan mengaktifkan dan memotivasi siswa di dalam kelas. Hal ini didukung oleh hasil dari observasi dan kuestionner. Setelah menganalisa kuestionner secara statistik, ditemukan bahwa nilai t-counted (2.85) lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai t-table (2.042 dan nilai rata-rata motivasi siswa meningkat dari 31.88 menjadi 33.05. Selanjutnya, hasil dari observasi menunjukkan bahwa sembilan puluh empat persen (94%)siswa berpartisipasi secara aktif selama proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil test, kuesionner, dan observasi, ditemukan bahwa hipotesa alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesa nol (Ho) ditolak. Dengan kata lain; (1) Penerapan strategi KWL secara signifikan memperbaiki pemahaman membaca siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 4 Palu, dan (2) Penerapan strategi KWL secara signifikan mengaktifkan dan memotivasi siswa di dalam kelas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan permasalahan kelancaran berbicara siswa kelas VII SMP Al-Azhar Palu dengan menggunakan teknik permainan menerka. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII C SMP Al-Azhar Palu yang berjumlah 32 orang. Peneliti menerapkan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus. Siklus 1 dilaksanakan dengan 4 (empat) pertemuan dan siklus 2 dilaksanakan dengan 2 (dua) pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian siswa dalam berbicara meningkat perlahan-lahan dari nilai rata-rata: 72.82 di siklus 1 dan 78.85 di siklus 2. Nilai tersebut mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 6.03 poin. Jumlah siswa yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan berjumlah 12 orang dari 32 siswa (37.50%) pada siklus 1 menjadi 27 orang (84.38%) di siklus 2. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan klasikal mencapai 80% (delapan puluh persen) dari 32 siswa di kelas tersebut yang mencapai nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal sebesar 80 (delapan puluh) sesuai dengan indikator kriteria pencapaian dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa tindakan yang diterapkan dalam dua siklus melalui permainan menerka telah berhasil dalam memecahkan permasalahan berbicara siswa dan secara efektif mampu mengembangkan kelancaran mereka. Abstract

This thesis is focused on art collaboration in medication ceremony of kailinese. The research problem was from an meaning contained in art collaboration in medication ceremony balia tampilangi Ulujadi at donggala kodi of padanjese village. The research aims to describe form and meaning of art collaboration in medication ceremony of kailinese. This research used descriptive qualitative method with hermeneutics approach. Data source of the research was from medication ceremony process of balia tampilangi Ulujadi of kailinese. Technique of data collection was direct observation, interview, documentation, and triangulation. Data analysis covered data collection, data reduction, data display and drawing conclusion. The results indicate that art collaboration in medication ceremony of balia tampilangi Ulujadi includes some forms of art, namely (1) drum and gong, (2) dance art covers movemenst of hand and foot, (3) theatre art covers popasaki, popanjaku of poraro, toratabolu, pokavu. (4) fine art consists of two dimensions and three dimensions. Two dimensions fine art cover bangunjaro and gulinto, siga, kayu mpovera and gantulili, lumbu, langi-langi, while three dimensions cover costume.

Abstract

Based on the explanation on the background of the research, so that, this research have a purpose to describe the application of speaking skills learning through articulation type of cooperative learning model at the sixth grade students of SD Inpres 3 Talise and to describe improving speaking skills through articulation type of cooperative learning at the sixth grade students of SD Inpres 3 talise. The kind of this research is a class action research. Design of this research reference at the Kurt lewin model which is adopted by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart (2012) that is include 4 steps : (a) planning, (b) implementation, (c) observation, and (d) reflection. Based on the meeting of the research, based on the evaluation speaking skills at the meeting of cycle I obtaining score at pronounciation aspects (69,71%), intonation aspect (69,71%), fluency aspect (60,57%), expression aspect (64%), and also respond compability aspect (63,43%). There are students who complete because achieved score of KKM (70) as many as 13 students or the percentage is 37,14%, whereas the students who not complete are 22 students or 62,86%. Getting the highest score is 80 whereas for the lowest score is 56. However at the cycle II the students who complete is achieved the score of KKM are 35 students (100%). based on the details the improvement speaking skills of the students can be seen at the result of five aspects evaluation speaking skills, those are pronounciation aspect (90,28%), intonation aspect (88,57%), fluency aspect (82,28%), expression aspect (82,86%), and respond compability aspect (87,43%). Average the achievement of those aspects (86,28%). There is the gettting a highest score is 96 whereas a lowest score is 72.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to 1) describe  the application of eye movement methods to improve students 'ability to read quickly class XII A Science Major Students of SMA Karuna Dipa  Palu, 2) describe the results of conversation eye movement methods to improve students' ability in read quickly  Class  XII A Science Major Students of SMA Karuna Dipa Palu. This research was classroom action research with the subject of this research were students Class XII A Science Major Students of SMA Karuna Dipa Palu. This research conducted in two cycles, the results show, that 1) the application of the method of eye movements on student learning reading quickly Class XII A Science Major Students of Karuna Dipa Palu. Based on the student activity observation in cycle 1 was  (66.15%) and teacher observation activities ( 66.67%) in cycle II has been increased, the observation of student activities was (87.69%) while the observation of  teacher was very satisfying activity (91.66%). 2) the results of the application of eye movement methods in study reading quickly class XII A Science Major Student of  SMA Karuna Dipa Palu, could be seen in the results of the test reading  quickly cycle 1 average of speed reading and understanding the contents were 332 wpm of 76.60. In cycle 2 students' reading speed increased 341 wpm and the students understanding about the contents in average percentage was 90.40, 82.60%. Thus, this classroom action research shows, that the application of eye movement methods can improve students' ability to read quickly. Keywords: Ability in Reading Quickly, Method of Eye Movements

Abstract

Abstack The research problem was to develop narrative writing skill of the Fifith Grade at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sis Aljufri Tatura Palu and how was the procedure of the application of Narrative Essay Writing Skill through Series Picture of the Fifith Grade at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sis Aljufri Tatura Palu. This research aimed to develop students' ability to write narrative essays of the Fifith Grade at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Sis Aljufri Tatura Palu and applied the pocedure of narrative essay writing through media image series fifth grade students at Government Elementary School Sis Aljufri Palu. Data collected by evaluation sheets, observation sheets, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the research findings, it showed that the use of series picture media could improve students' writing skills narrative. It was seen an increase in the number of the students who have mastery learning from cycle 1 to cycle 3. In addition, there was an increase in the average value of narrative writing skills from the cycle 1 to cycle 3. In pre-action, the students who have achieved the criteria of succes were 8 students (27%), in the first cycle were 19 students (63%), in the second cycle were 21 students (70%), and the third cycle as many as 23 students (77%). The average of narrative writing skills of students in pre-action activities was 62.50 in the first cycle was 67.33, second cycle was 71, 53 and third cycle was 74.03. Furthermore, the application of contextual teaching and learning in the teaching of writing essays through picture series was developed on observations of narrative writing. In the first cycle, the students’ narrative writing was 70%, the second cycle was 78% and in the third cycle was 90%. Keywords: Writing, Narrative Essay, Picture Series.

Abstract

This study describes the use of printed teaching material and audio visual learning in children's literature in elementary school. The problems studied are (1) How is the use of children's story teaching material as an alternative media for learning literature on children in class VI in SDN 13 Labuan? (2) How is the effectiveness of story teaching material for children as an alternative media on literature instructional on children in grade VI at SDN 13 Labuan?. The research aims to describe the use of teaching material and describe the effectiveness of children’s story teaching material as an alternative media on literature instructional on children in grade VI at SDN 13 Labuan. The method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection covering observation, interview, and written test. The data analysis was begun with data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The research findings show that the use of teaching materials as an alternative media on literature instructional is printed teaching material or local story book and audiovisual teaching material as an alternative are effective. Based on the evaluation, score number of audiovisual media use is 1462 with the average 86 and achieved 82.3% while the use of printed teaching material got score 1436 with the average 84 and achieved 76.4%. The results were obtained from 17 students at SDN 13 Labuan who all students stated passed as the satndard of minimum achievement criteria required in the school. Therefore, it can e concluded that the use of children’s story teaching material through printed teaching material and audiovisual teaching material as the alternative media on literature instructional of the children in grade VI at SDN 13 Labuan are effective to use especially on literature instructional of the children based on the results of the students’ outcomes who achieved minimum achievement criteria.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan bagaimana penerapan teknik Dictogloss dalam mengajar bahasa Inggris dapat memperbaiki keterampilan menyimak siswa kelas XI di MAN 1 Palu. Teknik dictogloss adalah sebuah teknik yang digunakan guru untuk mendikte teks pada siswa. Mereka menyimak dan mencatat untuk kemudian mereka menyusun teks tersebut menggunakan kata-kata yang tepat mereka sendiri sesuai dengan yang telah mereka dengarkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas). PTK ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas pengajaran guru dan pencapaian belajar Bahasa Inggris siswa di dalam kelas. Penelitian ini terdiri dari satu siklus.Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI bahasa tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang terdiri dari 25 orang siswa. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan lembar observasi,catatan lapangan, test dan kamera. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan. Sementara, data kuantitatif diambil dari nilai sesuai kriteria ketuntuasan minimal(KKM) yaitu 75 dan pencapaian klasikal di kelas yaitu delapan puluh persen siswa mendapatkan nilai lebih besar atau sama dengan 75.Berdasarkan hasil pencapaian menyimak siswa di siklus ini, 20 dari 25 siswa medapatkan nilai lebih besar atau sama dengan 75. Secara klasikal pencapaian adalah 80%. Artinya pencapaian hasil siswa di siklus ini telah memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan. Sehingga disimpulkan penerapan teknik Dictogloss dapat memperbaiki kemampuan siswa dalam menyimak.
