Abstract

The current solution Bandung City Government do to avoiding flood was building the retarding basin. The purpose of this research was to plan the retention basin’s discharge, volume and area. This research was conducted on Bima Street, Cicendo which is drained by Citepus River. The research data includes rainfall data from five rain posts, maps and existing river conditions. The analysis contains catchment area made from ArcGis program which result are 40 km2. Hydrological analysis produces the planned rain discharge for 100 years return period which is 20,22658 m3/s. Hydraulics analysis which is finding the discharge river existing. Basin discharge acquired from differences between rain discharge and river discharge then plan for inlet and outlet doors. Total capacity of retarding basin was 4360,5 m3. Inlet and outlet doors are planned each two doors with 2 meters width and 1 meter height.

Abstract

The Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 6572:2001 on natural ventilation in buildings has not been updated in the last 20 years, while similar standards in other countries have been periodically improved. The development of science and technology, environmental conditions, coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic that affects the entire world are the basis for consideration of the adjustment of related standards. The purpose of this study is to look at the standards for natural ventilation in several countries, namely the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia, as well as identify criteria that can be applied according to conditions in Indonesia. The results showed that the need for natural ventilation in buildings in Indonesia by 5% has met the existing conditions. However, further studies regarding the need for natural ventilation that are adjusted based on the function of the room as determined by ASHRAE 62.1 need to be carried out.

Abstract

The benefits of motivation are that the work or task that is the responsibility of the worker will be completed quickly, worker absenteeism can be minimized, and the labor turnover will be smaller. Construction projects can absorb a lot of workers, each worker has a different background, different backgrounds can affect a person's mindset and interest differences, thus affecting the level of motivation and factors that can increase motivation will be different. This research is dedicated to find out what factors can affect the motivation of workers based on the background of workers. There are 30 factors that can increase the motivation of workers obtained from the literature review of previous research, which will be searched for its relationship with the level of motivation of workers by using regression analysis. A total of 212 respondents to obtain sample data to find the relationship of factors that can affect motivation with the level of motivation of workers using regression analysis. From the results of this study, it was found that the factors that have an influence on the motivation of workers in each classification of background, the result is that almost every different background has a different factor that has the most influence on the motivation of workers, so that everyone who has a different background has a different way of increasing motivation.

Abstract

The bridge analyzed is a suspension type with a function as a pedestrian bridge. The bridge has a total span of 53.75 m and a width of 1.8 m, steel construction with wooden deck. The service life factor, damage to the bridge frame, and overload are certainly a problem for this bridge structure. Evaluation of the structure using survey data from existing measurements at the bridge location, then analyzed using the SAP2000 program. The result is that all tower frames, girders, main cables, hangers, and bridge decks, the nominal capacity is still able to withstand the ultimate load. However, the deflection in the middle of the bridge span is 0.72 m and has exceeded the allowable deflection (L/200). So based on the results of the evaluation of the Dumpoh suspension bridge structure, the cross-sectional strength of the frame is still safe, but the stiffness of the deflection value does not meet.

Abstract

Mortar is a mixture consisting of fine aggregate and adhesive. This mortar serves as a filler or binder in the constituent parts of a construction, both non-structural and structural. In this study, the test object measuring 5x5x5 cm was used by using fly ash added from the PLTU Rum by 20% of the cement weight. This study aims to clarify the use of fly ash from PLTU Rum as an additive in mortar mixtures. The test object is immersed in an acid solution with a concentration of 2%, the duration of immersion is 30, 60 and 90 days. The addition of fly ash to the mortar mixture can increase the compressive strength by 23.32%. The longer the contact with the acid solution will decrease the compressive strength and increase the absorption of the mortar.

Abstract

Climate change is a problem that becomes an environmental issue in every government. Increased awareness of environmental issues has made green building construction an industry that has made many improvements to be more environmentally friendly. Green building construction in Indonesia can only be certified greenship new building version 1.2 issued by Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI). This research relates to the grenship new building which underwent a change from greenship new building version 1.2 to version 2.0 in 2019. Meanwhile, this study uses comparative and qualitative methods in discussing assessment points in greenship new building. The results of the study explained that there were additional points for the assessment criteria with 2%-3% weighted values increased from the previous criteria.

Abstract

The road plays an essential role as a driving force for development growth in Sukabumi. The access section is an organic clay type with low bearing capacity, so it needs subgrade stabilization. The DCP test obtained a value of 0.76%. The carrying capacity value is in a poor classification. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the soil layer using bamboo culms and geotextiles. After that, it is required to do a field CBR. After supporting bamboo culms, the carrying capacity value is 5.63%. This value meets the CBR requirements in medium classification. Thus, it is necessary to add a pavement layer with geotextile. This bearing capacity test obtained a value of 20.59% and is in excellent classification.

Abstract

The development of Self-Healing Concrete technology is a solution to overcome anomalies in concrete structures such as Micro Crack and is a preventive measure to prevent concrete damage. This study analyzes the effectiveness of Self-Healing Concrete which has the ability to recover independently when Micro Crack occurs in exposed concrete. The ability to recover independently of micro cracks was analyzed using Laboratory-based Visual Research Methods (VRM). The results showed that the application of Bacillus Subtilis bacteria as a Healing Agent on exposed concrete was effectively used to overcome Micro Crack below 0.607 mm with self-recovery of 93.98% at the age of the test sample of 56 days. And the value of the ability to recover independently was strengthened by SEM-EDX data which showed the morphological structure of the development of mycobacterial spores that filled the Micro Crack cavity was Calcium Carbonate (Ca-K) compound.

Abstract

The most often problem that is usually occurred in the field is damage of discharge measuring building. In Kesilir’s primary channel, they are crumpweir dan cipoletti measuring structure that have decreased in fuction. This research was conducted by analyzing the discharge obtained from field data collection, wet cross-section area (A), flow velocity (v) and peilscal height (h). Callibration analysis of discharge measuring building is carried out by differentiating between the equation resulting from the graph using power function. The research result in the measurement differences of the upstream and downstream of the channel at two locations. The callibration coefficient of the crumpweir is 0.39 and the cipolleti is 0.72 respectvely.

Abstract

Life cycle cost analysis is a crucial design process in controlling the initial costs and future costs of owning a company investment project. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a life cycle analysis study cost to find out what cost categories are contained in the Project hotel development in the Batu City area also, see how much the total cost incurred by a project. The construction of the hotel starts from the design stage to the technical age of the hotel that has been completed set. The purpose of this study is to identify service life components hotel building materials, and make a long-term plan for the life cycle cost of the hotel building in the Batu City area. The results of this study indicate that in the Life Cycle Cost Analysis using the essential cost of building investment for 15 years, where there are items of Initial Cost, Annual Recurring Cost, Non-Recurring Cost, the LCC cost of Architectural Work on the Initial Design is IDR 21,542,108,279.
