Abstract

The research is aimed at knowing the self-efficacy catogories and students academic procrastination and finding out the correlation of the two variables toward students’ their academic assignment accomplishment. Quantitative method is used in the research. Data was obtained through 231 respondents using self-efficacy and academic procrastination instruments. The data then is analyzed by SPSS for windows release 20.0. The findings show that students’ self-efficacy belongs to high category (71,90%) while procrastination is in moderate category (52,30%). Analysis of Pearson Product Moment Correlation shows that there is negative correlation between self-efficacy and academic procrastination (rcount)=-0.590 out of 0,000 significance level. It is implied that the more self-efficacy possessed by a students, the lower is the academic procrastination. Otherwise, the lower self-efficacy possessed by a students, th higher is the academic procrastination.

Abstract

This article describes about concept of Islamic guidance and counseling through SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy) approach to review helps cure procrastination student behavior. SFBT is a form of brief therapy that builds on the strengths of the counselee to help raise and construct a solution to the problem. The concept of guidance and counseling Islam through SFBT approach is a comprehensive approach so that more leverage in helping cure procrastination behavior. Procrastination is the tendency of delaying completion of a task or work related academic activities. Islamic SFBT its essence lies in the counseling phase focused on solutions rather than on problems so counselee more energy is used to find a solution. There are stages of intervention in the form of a question miracle (miracle question), the counselee is directed to find the magic solution that comes from Allah Swt. That with Allah, nothing is impossible if people want to try. Wisdom and the role of Allah Swt always "presented" to engage in the process of this therapy. Intervention practices covering Islamic SFBT; Changes in pre-session; Search exception; Search competence; Miracle questions; The use of scale (scaling); Reframing; and closure of the session.

Abstract

The background of this research was the importance of a college students’ guidance and counseling program in STKIP PGRI West Sumatera to have a good social interaction. Social perceptions became factors that can predictaffect social interaction. The purpose of this research was obviously to describe: (1) social perception, (2) social interaction, (3) the contribution of social perception towards social interaction. This research was using quantitative method with correlation type. The population was college students’ guidance and counseling program in STKIP PGRI West Sumatera in academic year 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. A number of college students were 818 students. The sample was 272 students selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument was a Likert scale models. The research findings shown that: (1) social perceptions of the college students were in the positive category, (2) college students’ social interaction were in the good category,and (3) there was a significant contribution of social perception toward social interaction. Implications of these results can be used as an analysis of the college students’ needs in the preparation of guidance and counseling program services at universities, especially in STKIP PGRI West Sumatera.

Abstract

The emergence of Islam in world history storing a number of unique and magic. And the contribution of Islam in the world also has long received the recognition. Since centuries, the spread of Islam in various parts of the world has an impact to human life in the political system, social, economic, and cultural. Turkey geographic position located him between two different continents, namely Asia and Europe, is a unique strategic position at the same time. The spirit of modern Turkish society to become a modern and democratic nation, always accompanied by a profound awareness of the character and ideals to Turkishness and to Islamization. The author notes that the idea of a synthesis of Islam, Turkey and the West ever raised by Ziya Gokalp (Mr. nationalist Turkey) began to be implemented with a reasonable and natural, while the state ideology of Kemalism made its presence very well guarded by the Turkish military forces. There are three areas that can be observed in the impulse secularists who is the most prominent element of the Kemalist reforms. First, is the secularization of the state, education, and law, in the form of attacks against traditional powerhouses scholars institutionalized. Secondly, it is an attack against the symbols of European civilization. Third, is the secularization of social life and an attack against Islam embraced people.

Abstract

This paper aims to map the reality of the concept of humanism education in the context of Islamic education. Education is one of the most essential keys in human life. In general, education aims to help humans to get the existence of humanity as a whole. Education also aims to make people better in life. Currently education has not been able to achieve the goals and objectives of education itself are humanizing human beings by optimizing all the potential that exists in human beings. On the contrary the education that occurs today only creates a human being a robot or machine that can be controlled. Education as a process of human humanization (humanization) comes from the idea of humanism. This is in line with the basic meaning of humanism as human education. The system of education in Islam built on the basis of humanistic values since its inception appears in accord with its essence as a humanity religion. Islam makes human dimension as the orientation of education. The insight of humanism in education carries the principle of empowering each human being as a free individual to develop its potential. That means education is held to manage and develop the human self in order to become a whole human according to human nature.

Abstract

This study was to determine the role of guidance and counseling teachers in improving student learning success at SMA Negeri 1 Depok Sleman, Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative manifold generate descriptive data to describe the behavior of the subject under study. Then the presence of investigators in this study serves as primary research tool. Sources of data in this study are primary data obtained through observation and interview respondents. And secondary data documentation Master's programs of guidance and counseling. Data collection techniques in this study using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Selanjtnya data analysis in this study using qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the models of guidance and counseling program in SMA Negeri 1 Depok form their Intensification Program for class XII, intensification program contains material National Examinations and Pathways to college, learning programs in addition to class 10 and 11 to face the Final Exams Semester in order to satisfy student achievement, educational exhibits, and extracurricular programs in SMA Negeri 1 Depok. Then the data findings in the form of involvement or role of teacher guidance and counseling in improving students' success in school is through a program of classical guidance, counseling and personal counseling, tutoring and social counseling, guidance and counseling to learn, and guidance and career counseling.

Abstract

This paper offers a solution to improve the quality of human resources through education Islam. Humans are the central points that are the subject and development engineers as well as objects that are engineered and enjoy the fruits of development. In addition, humans are also the only creatures that have the potential to develop themselves through their knowledge. Efforts to develop and improve the quality of human resources can be done through various means, including through education. This education is the path of improving the quality of human resources is more emphasis on the establishment of basic quality, such as faith and piety, personality, intelligence, discipline, creativity and so on. In Islam the human figure composed of two potential to be built, which is outwardly as the body itself and the spiritual body as the controller. Some aspects of the dimensions that must be considered in the development of human resources, among others, cognitive (knowledge), affective (attitude), and psychomotor (skills) greatly influence the process of formation of one's personality.

Abstract

The development of language in the early childhood is the development of language that must be owned by the child as one of their basic skills, according to the stage of age and characteristics of its development. This research generally aims to improve verbal language, specifically to find out how big is the ability of spoken language through the application / use of storytelling method. This research conducted in class A TK (Kindergarten) Malahayati Neuheun for Education Year 2016/2017. The subjects of the study were 22 children, 6 male students and 16 female students. The data of this research are data of students` verbal language ability, Instrument of data collection with observation sheet and data collection technique with observation. Data analysis technique used comparative descriptive method that compares cycle I and cycle II respectively in two meetings. Based on the obtained data analysis, the learning activity used II cycles, as many as 4 meetings. In the first cycle of 1st meeting the number of presentations of 36.4% was continued with the 2nd meeting of 54.5%. While on the 2nd cycle of 68% meeting followed by the 2nd meeting to 86.4%, this enhancementhas exceeded the learning mastery. The results showed that the recurring storytelling method enable to train children's concentration in improving their language skills through listening and expressing the language in group A TK Malahayati Neuheun

Abstract

Religious conversion is the act of conversion will be undertaken someone as a real form on the turmoil of one’s soul on a belief and trust in the new religion. When someone does a religious conversion means he has left the old religion and the move to the new religion, someone who has embraced the religion of Islam is usually often experience psychological dilemmas that require an understanding of the community. Things like this very important as a concern in the community, for a muallaf tranquility and comfort in the midst of life in society is very important, with tranquility and comfort and guidance even good reception from the public that will be it as a reinforcement of the psychological condition of a muallaf, thereby strengthening the grip and confidence in their beliefs. This article aims to find a convert and a form of psychological treatments given to the muallaf as a form of strengthening the psychological condition muallaf. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive, with the techniques of data collection using interviews, observation, and documentation. by taking four samples of two people from Christianity Catholic and two Protestant Christians. With the result object embraced Islam willingly and there is no pressure at all from outside himself. at the beginning of their conversion find their pressure coming from family, relatives, close friends, and the community, from the start in angry, insulted, reviled, and up to physical violence. So that it resulted in the disrupt tion of psychological conditions muallaf.
